  1. LOL, Oh my!! Definitely not Jim! Today is our 45th Wedding Anniv., although we have been together almost 50! Not much happening today. I quit expecting anything years ago lol! I quit giving him gifts since he was not much into giving. Just the way he was brought up I guess.

I have my Mamogeam, this Wed. Hope the weather co operates! We have had a bad few weeks of sub zero temps and over 14" of snow. My Son drove me to the store last Wed. and I ventured out alone Sat.
Now we are getting freezing rain on top of the snow! Matt didn't drive his bus for 4 days. They already had a scheduled day off Mon. for MLK day. The temps and bad roads were pretty bad!

Hey! My Lions beat Tampa Bay Bucs!! It was an exciting game! Now on to Cali! It should be an exciting game for us and my Cali friends! Either way, they both deserve to be there!

  2. That’s funny! My Hubby would have done that for a laugh, but only for me! He always did weird stuff to make me laugh.

Mary, congrats to your Lions. And Happy Anniversary. I hope you don’t have to drive in all that snow. I would never be able to do it. So glad I live in sunny California.

I went to DMV today to take my drivers test for the second time and I passed! Yayyyy!!! Even though I don’t drive that much, I still want to be able to drive if I need to.

That’s all the news I have to report. I’ll be back later.

  3. I forgot to mention that I went to the 5 year old neighbor's birthday party on Saturday. I did NOT go in the Bouncy House but I did enjoy visiting with the grandparents.

  4. JustLin, I doubt that we will be going to Vegas again. Jim would not be able to do all the walking. He gets winded walking a few feet. He is smoking on the sly. He really sounds terrible when trying to catch his breath with small exertions. I don't remember ever celebrating our Anniversary. I am lucky he remembers Christmas lol! I am used to it. Now you know why I traveled with you gals and to Europe with my Niece. He is not much for adventure.
You should have done the Bouncy thingy lOl!!

Dianne, Our Lions had a good run. Unbelievable! The Super bowl would have been nice, but someone has to lose :(
I want to hear more about you and Louis have been getting along. Are you cooking? Is Louis getting around?

SacBarb,Awesome that you passed your drivers test! It is nice you can drive somewhere if necessary. Just the thought of being "grounded" someday scares me! I will have to start using those electric carts at the super market. I wonder if you need a license for those? LOL!! I can see me knocking down all kinds of displays1 LOL!!

I don't feel like cooking today so I ordered Chinese. It's too far for delivery so I will be picking up in a few minutes.

  5. Hi..,barb and JL are the
Are storms out there effecting either of you? It sounds horrible. We had a lot of wet snow yesterday and I got caught in it. It was raining here when I left. When I got to the meeting place it was a blizzard. I skipped the lunch and headed home. It was a blizzard and I was so scared you couldn’t see the lines on the road. It took me an hour and a half to do a 40 min drive. Cars were honking me as I was driving so slow too. More this week. I hate it Everyone ready for the Super Bowl? I think I’m cheering for SF I like the coach, etc. my friend is having a celebration of life for her mom on Super Bowl day. I don’t think she was thinking. We r going to Tammy’s for the game and to her mom’s celebration at 1. At first I told her we couldn’t go but I could tell she was irritated. So we r going to try and go to both. Her mom’s is at a restaurant.
So everyone what’s going on with you all? Barb, how’s the house thing going? How’s your sister? R u excited for the game?
Tammy has started right away looking for a job. She did two door dash delivers. Made $40 on one and $6.50 on the second one. She also applied at frontier airlines for some kind of assistant job. She has word out everywhere and would like out of the business but it’s hard to make the same money. I too worry about her. This housing market and interest rates really has the mortgage industry at a stand still

I had a nice lunch yesterday I met joes daughter and her mom was here visiting from Texas for a few weeks. I know her pretty well over the years she’s very nice. She was married to him for 25 years and remarried to a guy for 25 more years. Anyway Val brought her mom with her and we met at red lobster at 12:30 and we talked and talked…almost solved all the world problems. When we left it was 5 with a waiting line for dinner. I couldn’t believe we were there so long! We never lacked for conversation

Mary, who r u cheering for at the Super Bowl? It’s sad you might not go to Vegas again. I’m wondering about cruises for us. I really don’t want to quit. If Tammy and James came with us we could go but I think they’d like to vacation on their own. It’s a question for the future. We are going to Hutchinson, Kansas mid March for two days as the tenors will be there for a night. We already have show tickets and I made hotel for two nights the other day. It’s a good six hours from here. I just hope Louis will be able to handle it. We have tickets for a day or two in Salina, Ks, which is also six hours away and that’s in April. I can get refund on hotel but not show tickets. He told me to go ahead but he sure can’t go like this with walking.

My youngest grandson will graduate in May so he’s visiting colleges. He’d like to go to Tennessee to school. Middle grandson is a jr at csu here in ft Collin’s. He was on the deans list last semester. They r all doing good ..My wish that they didn’t drink so much when they go out they’ve not learned to just drink socially. I guess that why they all call me The alcohol police. Don't have those issues with the younger one…that I know of anyway.

Well, that’s about it hope you’re all ok. I’m glad the ground hog predicted spring soon hope he’s right.
