Sunshine!

a new day has begun, with eyes
wide open, i look up to the sky
and see the sunshine beaming thru

it is time for the sun to shine
life does present us with rocky roads
however we find a way to get thru

april is very near, it is when our
weather changes, and our spirits bloom
it is time for the rain to bring us
that wonderful spring smell

close your eyes you know that smell
breathe it in

our bodies can feel it, we know
it is time for the awakening of spring
it cheers us on, and gives us hope

our spring and summer clothes may
not fit, but heck we got the sunshine!

i am ready for change, for new beginning's
to look at everything around me in a
different way, to take the time to be
grateful, for the trees, for the flowers
for family, for the owls, and for the nest!

iteach was right, her comment
stuck with me all day, and hence this blog

"They sweep everything under the rug
and don't deal with anything".

"No sweeping here"!

sweeping is not allowed
and because of that, there is only
sunshine today, look up to the sky
you will see it, just as i did!

and if you have raindrops
push them aside with all your strength
just like curtains
and the sunshine will peek thru~~

:O)

  1. Good morning sunshine (Carol)

    Congrats on 1st EBJ

Spring has sprung and I intend to have a great summer. Right after the snowstorm blows thru tomorrow....LOL
The positive is the birds are now singing in the morning and it is light out when I go to work and when I come home!

  2. For me, the weather has a lot to do with how I'm feeling.

I was talking to someone at work about this not long ago. We had been having some rainy, stormy days. And then there was sun!

A beautiful, early spring day. I was giving a patient a breathing treatment, she asked me why I was so happy and smiling.

I didn't even realize I was happy and smiling, but I thought about it for a minute, and said that it was the beautiful weather!

From where I work, we have a view of Mt. Diablo, and across the street are cows in big open fields. Everything is green right now.

Sometimes, I catch myself just sitting and staring out the window and daydreaming!!

It's hard not to be happy and smile!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

  3. Good Morning Sunshines (OWLS),

Congrats EBJ on first, good for you!!!

Goldie, I know more snow for us too, about 5 inches. They said south of Detroit, with possible North of Detroit, So we are North of Detroit, I'm hoping is passes us. Wisconsin had a lot of snow this year. But I think we all broke records with snow this year. We did.

Yes, its Spring, as Goldie said, birds are singing, and its SUNNY. I so need to go clean up my gardens, but its so cold, I usually go in mid April and clean them out, I only have 3.

Our project this year is taking down our swing set that is inlayed in a mulch playground. So we have to breakdown the RailRoad ties, and clean the mulch out and prep for sod or seed. I want to hire someone, hubby, wants to do it. Hes very good/handy around the house, but his delivery dates are not good. So were going back and forth on this one.

Well I'm gonna go start my work.

Joey, Thanks, I emailed her this morning and told her about the rule of HO's LOL. You guys are so kind. Thank you. So if someone comes in here by the name of tahari its her. But Joey already gave her a name taHOri, LOL.

    Check back soon.

    Love you guys,
    Renee Eve

  7. Good morning Carol, ebj, Goldie and Renee!!

My computer is in the shop so I only get a few minutes a day on my hubby's since he does have to work. :(

Carol, you're so right--the sunshine and warmer weather send out good vibes! I was so sorry to read about your aunt yesterday.

Renee, loved your son's essay yesterday. He's very articulate.

    Hi, Joey!

I was just outside cleaning up the pool after our rain storm yesterday and thinking that it won't be too long before we're back in it! Okay, off to clean--I guess someone's got to do it. LOL

    Have a great day, owls!

Carol, at last it's here, and it is a time for renewal. It's a beautiful sunny Spring morning and

goldie, It's always a good sign when the birds a signing. Hope things at the office are getting back to normal.

Renee, Sounds like you've got a lot of work planned. It's almost sad to take down a swing-set because it means the children are not little anymore.

Joey, Good to see you...thanks for the comment. I'm making pastel colors to celebrate the season.

Sandie, Good to see you. I guess we all know there's no Good-fairy...but why is it always us who get's the honor of cleaning? lol

  17. Morning Glories!

    EBJ got first!

Spring in the Northwest is always interesting. We can have beautiful sunshine and bam 2 minutes later pouring rain, thunderstorms, hail and ocassionally snow! LOL I was born and raised here and we just say yeah this is spring!

I know it is spring when the grass starts showing signs of life and I start dreading digging out the lawn mower.

When the sunshine hits I am outside mumbling to myself 20 minutes of sunshine leads to happiness and sanity! LMAO (Yes I really do this)!

The last couple of weeks I have been watching the ducks in our back acreage ( which is seasonal wetland) hatch their babies. We have our annual pigeons on the roof hatching babies! ( I should write a blog about the pigeons) By summer we look like we are filming for Hitchcock, The birds The birds!

The eagles have been out more than usual. It is like everything has not just a mission but a wonder and renewed hope. Just have to enjoy and live in the moment!

Hi goldie, Joey, Renee, Sandie, Ronnie and anyone else blogging in while I just type away.

  20. Well Morning glories to you too, Lynn. The picture you just painted sounds like a beautiful postcard. We don't see eagles where I live and they are so beautiful. We do see a lot of hawks soaring through the air though, and many buzzards in west Texas. Not pretty at all, rather nasty looking. lol

Good morning Jennifer. Sounds like a day with sunglasses for you.

Hi everyone, been really busy today at work (catching up from NO work the other day). I am happy to report that things are back to normal. Only had to talk to the insurance company once today ( I believe the latest request was for a pint of blood to prove we really are who we say and have what we say). Lordy help me.
Thankfully my agent is terrific and she is getting between us and the claims dept. and gettting it all done.

I am soooooooo hoping this winter storm goes south of us so I can go have lunch with HODI tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed.

Fresh ingredients for the brownies- but someone else will need to grow them IBB. I dont garden. Period. I would probably pull the plant thinking it was a weed (bwaaaahaaahaaa....) Geez I crack myself up sometimes.

  44. Shirley,
Glad to see you back home in the nest.
I think this winter has been the severest on record. On Myspace all winter long I started seeing more blue frowny faces and each time it had to do with the severe rainy, cold weather. When I grew up in Germany my first summer there it didn't get above 45 degrees. I guess I was young and could cope better. There wasa lot of gray skies constantly. The Germans drank shot liquors to stay warm. They even poured creme (cream) liquors over ice cream to warm up. They would have red wine with a meal to make their body warm. They were a happy people. Maybe the liquors helped.
    Mek

Ok, I'm sorry I have something VERY FUNNY to share, I was reading our Township Newspaper, yesterday and they have a part in there about crime watch. Well this is what it said:
    `
    `
    `
Woman gets grouchy about take out
    `
    `
    `
Police were called March 8 when a man said his wife assaulted him after he brought home carryout for dinner. The man brought dinner back to their residence on Lida Lane at 5:30pm, he said, and sat at the table to eat. His wife reportedly started yelling at him that the food was "all hers," and he shouldn't touch or eat it, according to reports. She allegedly hit him.
    `
    `
I was laughing so HARD, this is NOT a joke it came from our local newspaper that comes once a week.
    `
    `
I can't believe this what was he suppose to eat LOL. Has she not heard of SHARING, especially since his A$$ went out to get it. But that is a mans job to go pick up carry out. IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!
