This Night Owl Blog has given so much! It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"! We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly. Its in the movement!
"Hooked on a feeling", sung by Blue Swede
there are times when we all need a smile
or a laugh or perhaps just a wink, as all
of these, seem to lift our spirits and make
us feel that all is going to be ok...
i remember this video clip from a show
i used to watch "Ally McBeal" when I saw
it many years ago, it made me smile, and the
song to go with it, is a favorite of mine..
the dance is just so simple, however its
in the movement that makes me smile, its
the way the body moves to the music, when
the music is there the body will move, and
then the smile will appear!
if you lost your smile, or your laugh has
been forgotten, i hope this video brings a
silly smile to your face as it does mine!
:O)
First again?
ReplyDeleteThis is weird. Both yesterday and today I just happened to get on the computer at the right time! Off to read the blog!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first AGAIN Sandie! And yes, Carol, that DID bring a smile to my face! I remember that baby from Ally McBeal too.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day Owls!
Carol, thanks for making me smile this morning! I've always loved that song--I remember it by BJ Thomas--not sure if he was the first one to do it. Anyway, thanks and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna Jo!
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteSandie first again? LOL It must have been quite the experience yesterday!
Hi Donna Hart!
Carol love the music but the dancing baby kind of creeps me out! LMAO

I also want to say how horrible about what happened to the guy from Rent-a-center! I feel bad for him and for all of the workers involved!:(

ReplyDeleteGood morning Lovey! 10!! lol
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Lynn D, Joey & Lovey!! Joey: That watermelon owl came from Photobucket. I think it's amazing how some very talented people can carve such beautiful things like this.
ReplyDeleteI never watched Ally McBeal but I remember this weird dancing baby was all the rage with her show.
I am also praying for Dianne, but can someone tell me what is going on with her? Seems everyone knows. Maybe it was mentioned here and I missed it. If she doesn't want it discussed here, I completely understand.
Gm Sandie,DonnaHart,LynnD & Joey.
ReplyDeleteLOL Sandie, it's nice to see a virgin getting a good break in..hehe..
LynnD yw and ty :o)
Joey, I agree, time is flying these days.
I'm needing some sunshine rays today, so I'm out to soak it up.
Wishing all Owls a day filled with sunshine, lollypops, rainbows and everything wonderful.

Loved that video yesterday Lovey. You really know how to make us smile. :)
ReplyDeleteI was just talking to my mom this morning about how this year has flown by. It will be time for the hectic holiday season before we know it! Yikes!
DonnaHart, you have MS mail :o)
ReplyDeleteHappy first again Sandy!
ReplyDeleteHi there, Joey,Hartldo,LynnnD,& lovey!
It is unusual for me to be posting this early, but I have a lot to do today and had to fly in to wish all a wonderful Thong Thursday!
Carol. the video was a wonderful way to start the day, thanks!
Joey, I almost flipped my calender to Aug. today lol! Retirement is sooo confusing :+)
Good morning Hooters! Now sandie, breaking your cherry is one thing, but there is a word for those who have an addiction to it...baahaahaa
ReplyDeleteCarol you Crackwhore ;)- you made me smile this morning. Never watched Ally McBeal, but I sure remember watching that video a lot of times.
LOVEY- I sang that sunshine, lollipop song for HOURS last night.... thanks
After telling my Beta story last night I forgot to include the poor fellows name. It was Norton. There, I feel better now.
Hope everyone is doing well today-
Hi Goldie! How is the Mrs back today?
ReplyDeleteoops I meant the MR LOL!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that video, it brought a smile to my face, and my son Victor was laughing a big belly laugh, so that was an extra smile. He thought that was so funny, I had to play it 3 times for him. I also loved that song, I had it on a 45 record.
Congrats Sandie two days in a row, WOOHOO
Goldie we have two Beta fish also, they belong to my sons Vincent & Victor, Vincents is blue his name is Jack, Victors is red is name is Bob. LOL They have been with us for 8 months so far.
They are in seperate bowls but its so funny if you put the bowls next to each other, they really get active and their fins all fan out.
Good thoughts being sent out to Diane and her family.
Mary/MI, Have a safe trip to Vegas you LUCKY THING!!!!!!
Have a nice day, I will stop back later.
Good morning Mary/MI, goldie & Renee! Thank you, Carol & Lovey, for the MS messages.
ReplyDeleteRenee: We once had a beta fish named Jack too! For some reason, that is what our daughter wanted to name him. Then a stray cat came along (and stayed) and our daughter named her Jill. Get it: Jack & Jill. The beta is long gone but Jill remains. And when Jill came, she was preggers. Had 5 kittens. We still have 2 of them, plus 2 other strays that showed up here. Yes, I have 5 cats total. And I am allergic to cats!!! Shows you how crazy I am!
Goldie: I am an idiot! I hope Mr. Goldie is feeling better today. I hate back stuff!
ReplyDeleteSince we have lived in this house we have buried a rabbit, hedgehog and a dog. We don't flush anything as we have a septic system. LOL
Those were pets. I am not counting the moles or mice or garden snakes. Yuck!
Mary who lives part time in Vegas. Please when you get there spit on the Ebay machines for me! Will you??? Huh? Huh? LMAO
LynnD~ You ARE kidding? Ebay machines? Good Lord have mercy! LOL! I may not spit, but will "toot" as I go by wha ha ha !!
ReplyDeleteNo I am not kidding! Toot, spit anything to show your disdain and I will be happy! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do don't play them! You will lose your money in fees faster than filling your gas tank! Then they will only let you leave them positive feedback and take more money! LMAO
I thought I would wait until the nest filled up. Now there are so many owls to greet.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sandie , (First again), Donna, Sandie, Lynn, Joey, Lovey, Mary, Goldie and Renee Eve. How are you all today?
25
ReplyDeleteI will be right back.
ReplyDeleteLynnD~ You are cracking me up!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Tinka!
ReplyDeleteGoldie: How is Mr. Goldie's back? If he's done with the Vicadin, you can send it my way. ;)
Mornin' Tinka, I am having a great morning! I should be getting my "ars"
ReplyDeletebusy though. I have another busy day today. I will be checking in as I fly in and out.
LMAO LynnD & Mary
ReplyDeleteToot toot
Mary, I am having a slow start this morning. Yesterday at this time I had already been at the computer for two hours. I will never do that again so early in the day.
ReplyDeleteGm Mary,Lynn,Goldie,Renee,Tink..and ALL OWLS to fly into the nest.
ReplyDeleteGoldie,keep singing baby!!
I gotta get my butt outta here or I'll be here all day...hehe.
See ya's later xox
Hartldo~ your owl is making me hungry. Hope birdee doesn't pop in until I have eaten my breakfast lol!
ReplyDeletem&ms are looking mighty good too heh heh!!
Happy Thursday!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, everyone!!
cpgem - thanks for the smiles this am....
Dianne - needs a hug - in Denver - love ya..
I'm off to card clinic -
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
lynn- I almost spit out my coffee. I am seriously laughing here- I am so glad that you didn't flush the dog, hedgehog or rabbit into your septic system! Ewwww.....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wishes for Mr. G- he is moaning (not in a good way *wink, wink*) laying on ice packs and I'm drugging him up. Could be worse- it could be me...
I remember the time we were 'babysitting' for Norton and went on a 2 week vacation and I made Mr. Goldie take him with us. LOL...
Good moring to all!!!!!!
I can now what happens every morning. There is a certain time that everybody gets busy and leaves the nest. I am arriving at just that time.
ReplyDeleteLovey - You once told me the blog was very addicting and it is. Have fun today.
I am going to listen to the baby and come back. I can already hear it in my head. I used to watch the baby and then change the channel. I feel the same way Joey. I didn't get much out of the Ally McBeal show, was it called that?
Before I head out I wanted to let Diane in Denver that my thoughts & prayers are with her & her family.
ReplyDelete[[[HUGS}}}
Hi MEK! Have a nice day all
sorry for the bad writing. My mind is racing with all the things I SHOULD be doing lol!
ReplyDeleteSandie
ReplyDeleteEnough is enough. You're beginning to be a first ho. (just kidding) I love ya!!
Anyone who needs a laugh should see me right now behind this monitor. I am trying to whiten my teeth with that gel and little blue light. I have it all crammed into my mouth and it feels like I've got a pacifier sucked to my lips. I have on my gray mud mask. I look like an alien but this stupid stuff really works. My face feels soft and my teeth get the tea stains removed. Of course after this I'm going straigh for my morning tea!. I should use straws!
Top of the morning to the rest of ya:
ReplyDeleteCarol, Donna, Tinkatia, ReneeEve, Sandie (again)LynnD, Joey, Mary/Mi & Lovey.
Mary
Did you win in Vegas! We want to go. We had planned to go but David's Mom will be in rehab hospita for her broken hip for the next 2 months. Family comes first!
Joey
ReplyDeleteCan you fix all of my typos. :0)
Good Morning MEK! A card clinic sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading out to take my daughter to play practice and to go look at furniture with my mom.
BTW, my daughter is in the play "The Secret Garden" and she got the part of Mary.
Good Morning Sunshines!
ReplyDeleteJust popping in quickly at the start of a busy day!
Carol...what a great way to begin the day. Who can't help but smile.. a dancing baby! It cracks me up every time I see it. Thank you, friend, for the morning smile.
Good thoughts and huge hugs to any Owl who is worried or sad today!
Hi Dreama! Beauty is tough! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vig!
I'm off now. I'll be back later!
Good Morning Dreama - You should post a picture on your myspace like Bebbi did.
ReplyDeleteCarol - I think your video worked. I am having a good laugh at all the comments this morning. I think everyone is.
Everyone seems to have a fish story. Here's mine.
It was in one of my early years of teaching. I had such ideals. I always kept a fish tank in my classroom. It was part of our Unit on Families. We would see the babies leave their sheltered area and go out into the big tank. One day I noticed the tail of the mother fish kept getting smaller. I finally discovered the father was slowly eating his mate a little bit at a time. The mother fish died before I had time to discover this and remove her. It certainly ruined our unit on Family Life that year. It never happened again but I never forgot it.
VIG - Good Morning my dear friend. I ordered sun for you today and I think it's coming out. Call me when you have time.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome brought a tear to my eye. My dad always said
"Good Morning Sunshine" when he first saw me in the morning. It is so many years since I heard that I started to tear up - but it was a good cry. He has been gone 20 years now and I still miss him. My mom only remembers him when he was young. Maybe that is a good way to remember someone.
Have a good day.
Tink...thank you kindly for sending the sunshine. I am off to Butterfly Gardens with two kids today and it would be nice if we could have our lunches outside. Sorry to make you tear up..but it is sweet to think that your Dad said that to you, as you are truly a ray of sunshine! Have a great day filled with yellow.
ReplyDeleteWishing a yellow day to you all!
Hartldo...hi backatcha! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteDream I gave up on beauty a long time ago. I will take aging gracefully. LOL
ReplyDeleteTinka: Just read your post about the family unit. I think there is a metaphor in there somewhere but I will just mourn for the poor Mother!
Hi Vig have fun at the butterfly garden that sounds like fun!
I was just thinking we never had fish. Now I wonder why?
Ok back to housework.
50- if no one steps on me..
ReplyDeleteHello and good afternoon to all! Flying in for lunch break and hope everyone is having a good day. I have to get back to work soon so not enough time to individualize...but hugs to all!
ReplyDeleteBebbi - Good Morning. I forget we are on different time zones. You are having a lunch break and I am just going to have breakfast. I don't know why that hit me today but in the nest I feel we are all there at the same hour. I guess senility is hitting me. Have a good lunch.
ReplyDeleteLynn - Yes I think there is a metaphor there, one that I didn't want to explain to the kids.
VIG - I love Butterfly Gardens. When I would spend part of each summer in Cincinnati, I would think of Butterfly Gardens every-time I went out the door. The high humidity hits you in the face. I don't know how people survive outside in places with high humidity. Just an hour in Butterfly Gardens and I am soaking wet and exhausted. I guess that's why I lot of people stay inside with their A.C.
I am off for breakfast and to get something done today. My son, DIL and my baby are coming
ReplyDeleteSaturday. I don't want any dust in the house when my baby is here. I can't wait to see her again. Have a good day everyone. I will be back this afternoon.
55
ReplyDeleteSandie: We'll be changing your owl to an Eagle at this rate! An eagle with an eye firmly on the nest!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Hart, Lynn D, Joey, Lovey, the early bird Mary/MI, Goldie, Eve, MEK, Dreama, VIG, Audrey, and as always, Carol!
It felt so good to type all these familiar names! I wish we were all together having a big communal breakfast this morning!
Personal and confidential to Hartldo: I love you too! ;)
Well, owls, it's THAT time year again, when huz and I head out for the small Northern California town of Guerneville, just 40 minutes or so away from Donna Jean.
Yes, it's Lazy Bear Weekend, once again. What's that, you ask? Oh, giggle giggle, nothing special. Just four days of sun, fun, fur, and frolic with 2000 or so fellow bears.
I promise to be good, and if I can't be good, I'll be careful, and if I can't be careful, I'll name it after Carol!
Dianne, I'll be thinking about you up there... and check back in the nest after we arrive, assuming the house we've rented has internet access...
Have fun Bear. I will miss you. I love you, you big old teddy bear you. I swear you belong in my teddy bear room. We must all have breakfast together someday somewhere.

ReplyDeleteBack to work I go. I just have to find another good cleaning couple. I miss my last ones so much.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday Owls.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I loved Ally McBeal, but like LynnD, the baby creeped me out. I guess I just didn't 'get' it. The video did bring a smile however. Thanks for that. I hope you Dad is still doing well.
Sandie, Congrats on #1 again. This could become a habit.
LynnD, How do you age gracefully? I am certainly aging, but gracefully is not the adjective I'd use.
Goldie, Hoping for a speedy recovery for Mr. G. In the meantime, drugs are the answer. LOL
Renee, I hope your Mom is doing OK.
Bear, Have fun at the lazy bear weekend...I know you will.
MEK, can't wait to see pics of the new cards.
Dianne, You and daughter are in my thoughts today.
Waving a wing at all the other Owls and all who land later.
I am off to take my other friend Sharon (not the chaperone) shopping. She is recovering from back surgery and can't drive, so I guess I'll have to shop with her. It's a sacrifice, but I'm glad to do it for her. BBL
Whabby have a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteTinka: I am having quite the time imagining Whabby in your bear room! LOL
Sacbarb: My formula for aging gracefully.
1. I accept the fact that everything is heading south.
2. Use hair dye at least once every two months just for convention sake.
3. Refuse to buy any wrinkle cream over $20.00 dollars.
4. Accept teeth maybe yellow sometimes because I refuse to give up coffee. Use fake tanner on my face so the teeth appear whiter.
5. Gave up contact lenses and just accept that I wear glasses and need to.
6. Accept all hormanal changes and the weight gain that comes with them.
7. I am getting to the point that if my feet are clean then I do not need a pedicure.
8. The wrinkles on my hands are from a lifetime of cleaning and yardwork so get over it!
9. Lipstick is chapstick with color and I have found chapstick with color so there you go.
10. I am what I am and will worry about all of the above later.
Last but not least I do not have to wear a bikini or thong or any other kind of nasty uncomfortable underwear anymore and yet I know I am still sexy. Well sometimes.
Sandie Nice to see you arrive first again today.
ReplyDeleteCarol Thanks for the dance today. I have to say, the baby is a little creepy. I enjoyed the quirky tv show, though.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much for the last few days or so. My brother is still visiting and there are some unrelated family issues going on at the moment. I guess if life went smoothly all the time it would get boring. I'd like to give it a try, though. LOL
Whabbear Have a good time!
Dianne_thinking_of_you_in_Denver(((HUGS)))
DonnaJean I'm glad things are finally moving along for Laurie Elizabeth. (((HUGS))) to you as well.
I hope all the owls are having a wonderful day today.
Lynn D - You have seen pictures of my Teddy Bear room. Can't you picture Whabbear in there? I can.
ReplyDeleteLove your formula for aging.
Just Lin - I remember those family issues. I don't have them any more now that I am single. Another good reason for staying that way, no second family to deal with.
I am slowly getting my work done. It's nice having my Mac Book nearby.

ReplyDelete68
ReplyDelete69 for K-Girl
ReplyDeleteTinka Congrats on 69 even if you are giving it away.
ReplyDeleteThe first computer my brother had was a laptop so he started out learning how to scroll, etc., with his fingers. Now he also has a pc and he had a hard time controlling his mouse at first. I guess it's a learning curve either way. Practice makes perfect!
Just swooping in to say hi again! I am so bored at work that I am making myself file! Oy
ReplyDeleteTink, I really CAN NOT picture Bear in your teddy bear room. I am not sure that is something that YOU should be imagining either!! LOL
Lynn, hope you havent' had to bury anything this afternoon..
I agree with your aging gracefully list. Except I won't spend more then $10 on face cream and I say, if it comes out of me and I dont'get any on you- be grateful.
Hope all you Hooters are having a good day.
Dianne- ((BIG HUGS)).
Goldie ROFLMAO! Please don't get any on me, whatever it is!
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, owls!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the first comments (especially the funny ones Lynn, Lovey and Goldie!) and hello to Donna (congrats to your daughter), Lynn (loved your list!), Joey, Lovey, Mary (have a good trip!), Goldie, Renee (glad Mom is okay!), Tinka, Dreama (wish I could have seen your beauty routine face!), MEK, Bebbi, VIG, Whabbear, sacbarb and Just_Lin!
Prayers to you and your family, Dianne.
We once had two goldfish named Left and Right (don't know why my boys named them that) and when one died we didn't know which was "left!" LOL
When Left (or Right) died, my daughter, Aubree, was about five. She was upset and so I talked about the fish and how he brought joy to us, etc. and then we said a prayer and flushed him down the toilet. Aubree was very sad and quiet until we flushed. Then she smiled and said, "That was fun! Let's get the other fish and do it again!" LOL!!
Ahhhhh, home again! Mom and I went to 5 furniture stores today and then back to 2 of them a second time. To cut costs, none of these places were very well air conditioned. I swear, I feel like I'm melting! Just like the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Sandie's fish stories and the fact that they were named Left & Right. Tinka's fish story was sad, but also kind of funny.
lynn d & goldie: Love the aging gracefully techniques. I KNOW I'm still hot.....They just come in flashes now! I saw that on a t-shirt somewhere.
Awwwww Whabbear...You're the best! My very favorite bear in the whole wide world. Thanks for being such a good friend.
Well, my daughter and I are starving. Hubby is out on a call. I think it's going to be pizza night!!!!
75 I am just waking up. I will be back.
ReplyDeleteFlying through!
ReplyDeletegoldie: Nothing to bury here today. Does sucking up a spider in the vacuum count? LOL
I just read the qotd and laughed my ass off! Does that mean Iteach eats road kill?
Sandie I think your daughter might have a bright future as a mortician! LOL
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Oh I wanted to amend my white teeth beauty secret just a bit. I also think it is aging gracefully that I still have most of my teeth!
That sounds like I was writing my age. Even I am not that old. I just feel like it when I first wake up. I am making some tea biscuits so I can have them with my new homemade raspberry jam and tea. Anyone want to join me?
ReplyDeleteHey HO's!!!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to pop in and say Hi!!!
I don't have time to read comments right now.....it's been an extremely busy day.
CAROL - THANK YOU for the video today!!! I danced my ass (I wish) off and it just made me smile!!! A much needed shot of yellow today. :D
Tinka: I would LOVE to join you for tea biscuits and jam! Sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteTinka How lovely! I'd love some tea biscuits and jam.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick fly by to say hello to everyone that I missed this morning. I have been home for 5 minutes and leaving in about 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteWabbear
have fun on your trip with huz!
I will check back later tonight to see if we've had any more pet tragedies. I sure hope not!
Typically the best remedy for the loss of a pet is honestly to get a new one so I hope that y'all will all give it some thought! I did!
Tina might want to get a new parakeet. If I should ever get a bird then I want to name it Tweetie.
Donna and Just_Lin - Tea and biscuits are ready. See you soon.

ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late! Tinka, any tea and biscuits left??
ReplyDeleteI am worn out from puppy-sitting. He has knocked over a candle, chewed a shoe, pooped on the floor and pulled my hair. He jumps in the pool every time he goes out so we have to leash him and take him out front or he's constantly wet. I'm exhausted. :P He's cute, though! :)
The nest is very quiet tonight ...
popping in again. We were out of power for 5 hrs today. Never did find out why. I was in the middle of washing all the bedding! Dinner was fast food. I thought I was sooo cleaver mixing the meatloaf earlier! No oven, no meatloaf lol!
ReplyDeleteI did get my nails done, so not all was lost. Now I have to do that four-letter word..i-r-o-n!
We leave for Vegas tomorrow evening.
Thanks for the well wishes. I'll be back after I make the beds and check emails....
Sandie:
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first!
Lynn D:
"ooga chucka, ooga chucka" loved it, I actually saw your comment this morning and was going to thank you, however a client walked in, and I had to jump well fly, off the nest...
Those words were the whole meaning of the blog today, what they mean does not matter, it is the movement that they create, and the smiles as to WTF do those words mean...Silly...but good!
Thank You, Lynn
Mmmmm. Thanks Tinka! That really hit the spot!
ReplyDeleteRenne Eve:
ReplyDeleteFrom Area 51, sorry about you mom, I hope she is doing better today!
Bebbi:
Did you get any test results back?
Dianne-our-friend-Denver:
Thinking of you
Lovey:
Thank you, for that great video you sent out yesterday, How Fun!
I adored it...
Goldie:
I love being called a "crackwhore" in the morning, as it means to me my performance last night was superb :O)
and
What is a beta fish?
Have a wonderful time in Vegas Mary! Is this a vacation for you?

"Goodnight Crackwhores" So funny!
Perfect!
Donna:
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100!!!
My first march in the Owl's Nest.
ReplyDeleteMary:
ReplyDeleteOpen your suitcase, I am soaring in... :O)
Thank you Carol. Glad someone noticed. LOL!
ReplyDeleteTinka:
ReplyDeleteI will take some tea and biscuits
Thank You!
Oh my, Whabby in Tinka's Teddy Bear Room, oh no, there will be a orgy!
ReplyDeleteMek:
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your card clinic..
Vig:
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly garden sounds so neat, I have never been...I am sure you had good day, butterflies are just so pretty...
Sacbarb:
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw that baby on Ally, it kinda creeped me out as well, it then grew on me, and I just love the song, so it just all came together...
Is just about the movement...one has to move...Rosie always that..
Speaking of Rosie, she is taking a break from blogging, a whole month, it seems she want so see if she can break away...Geez a whole month without Rosie...
Do ya think she can do it?
Hey Owls. I hope everyone is having a good day.
ReplyDeleteGoldie, Is the ceiling fan on? That could be quite a ride!
LynnD, Well, OK, then. I love your formula, especially #4. I still have all my teeth too. **Note to self: buy tanner**
J/L, I'm glad you are enjoying your visit with your brother.
Tinka got 69...Yay!!!!
Hartldo, I love the Secret Garden. How nice that your daughter is in it. And congrats on your first march to 100.
JodiHo, Glad you could fly in, even if just for a moment.
Bebbi, Congrats on 90
Carol I hope you are having a great crackwhore day.
Hey Owlettes,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long and exhausting day and I love popping in and getting to smile with my slightly yellow teeth! LOL
Darn I missed the Tea and biscuits with raspberry jam. I love raspberry jam, that and blackberry!
Donna Hart the Secret Garden was one of my all time favorite books! I bet your daughter will be great.
Mary leaving for Las Vegas, don't forget to toot every time you pass an ebay machine! On second thought if you do give into temptation and play one and win I would like my cut so I can get some of my fees back! LMAO
Carol that is my favorite part of the song ooga chucka, ooga chucka, only a guy would sing those lyrics! So caveman! ROFLMAO
I hope everyone has a great evening!
VIG- One time I went to a butterfly garden in Iowa and I absolutely loved it. I would love to go again. Maybe next time with you? :)
ReplyDeleteHartldo,Vegas is almost our second home, so not sure if it is a vacation or not. We go every 3 or 4 months. It's Mr Mary's drug of choice lol!
ReplyDeleteCarol, no need to jump in suitcase, just use your owl wings and meet me there! Try not to poop on anyone on your way! Oh, I think you can poop on a certain ebay slot machine lol!!
I so enjoyed reading everyone's comments today!
ReplyDeleteWe have been gone most of the day and evening.
Busy day for us.
Mary, do you always stay at the same hotel or do you try different ones?
ReplyDeleteMy parents always try different ones.
Carol, no test results yet. I have a call to the doctor for more pain medication for my knee. My other one started hurting now from putting more stress on it.
ReplyDeleteI think Rosie can do it. I will miss it but she should do what she needs to do. I hate those people that whine to her that they didn't get a "hi" in a while or where she is. For goodness sakes, give the woman a break! I don't understand that whole train of thought. I enjoy when she answers a question but I think she has enough pressure on her without adding to tons of people demanding a "hello".
I just really respect her for doing the blog and allowing people to be a part of her life. That is an awesome thing to do. She's got an awesome awesome heart.
Mary, I haven't been to Vegas since I was 7 years old! I really want to go back. I have been to Reno in the past few years though.
ReplyDeleteRasberry Jam is my FAVORITE~
ReplyDelete120
ReplyDeleteWOW MARY! Every 3 or 4 months! My husband would be so happy to just get to go once.
ReplyDeleteHartldo, there is someone on myspace who's name is Donna that claims she is you!! ;) hehe
ReplyDeleteHi Bebbi and Donna!
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who dropped by for the biscuits and tea, thank you for the pleasant afternoon. I am off to see my daughter and family who just got home from their camping trip. They were gone 2 weeks and I am so proud of myself that I wasn't whining on the blog about missing them. That is what I usually do but I guess I am getting to be a 'big girl'. See you all tomorrow. love, Tink
ReplyDeletelynn d & Sacbarb: I love The Secret Garden too. It's going to be an amazing play. This is my daughter's 7th play she's been in but none have ever been this serious and demanding. The museum hired a very strict professional to direct this year's play. He is an old, eccentric Englishman who doesn't stand for any clowning around from the children. It's all serious business. But the kids are really liking it and they're learning so much! The play isn't until Sept. 5th & 6th. I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteTinka dinka pinka tinka dinka! Hi and have fun visiting!! good to see you!
ReplyDeletebebbi: You're hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHi iteach!

ReplyDeleteOhhh Lovey! Wait, I take that back! I did have a rainbow today! I had Lucky Charms..all the colors of the rainbow and magically delicious! I haven't had that in forever.:)
ReplyDeleteYou're all invited to come see the play in September!
ReplyDeleteJust had Lucky Charms for breakfast, as a matter of fact. One of my favorites. I love Captain Crunch, Raison Bran, Honey Bunches of Oats, Basic 4....oh heck, I just love cereal! I really do! I could eat it for dinner, and sometimes I do!
The price of ceral is insane, though, don't y'all think?

ReplyDeleteWell, it wasn't too bad $2.50 at Walmart, but that was for the smaller box.
ReplyDeleteWell, I am going to hit the hay. It's been a long day. Hugs to all and sweet dreams too!
ReplyDeleteNight bebbi. I'm outta here too. I've caught myself asleep, here at the computer, 4 times already. Goodnight to all the Owls! It's TGIF where I am!!!!
ReplyDeletenight hartldo & bebbi
ReplyDeleteHartldo I would love to see the play! You do live in Michigan, right? lol!
iteach. We always stayed at the Star Dust until they tore it down. We knew every body by name. We were treated wonderful there. They always picked us up at the airport with their limos, and we got free rooms & food.
We have been "courting"(spending most of our money there) the Venetion. We have been invited there & Treasure Island, so we are staying a few days at both.
I will say goodnight now.I am having a hell-of-a-time typing with these new nails lol!!
HONESTY!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to be totally honest with everyone. It is now almost 9:45 pm PDT and I have not read the Blog, or any comments.
I had a wonderful day with my 8 yr old granddaughter, and I will post about that tomorrow.
I don't know what was said or posted today, or actually even later in the day yesterday.
I will get to both days Blogs and postings Friday, and will be able to comment back.
I do know that MANY of our BEAUTIFUL OWLETTES are going through tremendous personal family issues right now today, yesterday and for some of us, awhile back.
For those dear and wonderful Hooters, (FRIENDS) I send my love, my support, and most of all positive thoughts. You know who you are that I am sending these thoughts to.
May Peace, Love and Strong Arms to hold and give strength to those of you who need it, come to you at this time of need.
Sleep well, and sweet dreams my friends, Donna Jean
PS: I will be back tomorrow with a full report of my fantastic "Grandma Day", along with a new picture of the two of us!
I hope everyone had a great day!!

ReplyDeleteGood night and sweet dreams to everyone.
just lin: It really doesn't matter to me. Maybe "Hart" would be better since there is another Donna here. Some have been calling me Donna Jo, which is okay too. Like I told everyone the other night, just don't call me late for dinner! Unless you're having oysters, olives, mushrooms and tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteBebbi: There is nothing quick about me tonight. My daughter had 2 friends over today and they wore me out! One of the little girls is coming back over for the day tomorrow. I should really get to bed.
