A Work in Progress

the summer is actually flying by, August is so near
which is so amazing to me, because i just don't know
how the time goes by so quickly, when August arrives
i know i only have one month left of summer

i had alot of plans for this summer, i was going to
accomplish so much, i made this list in my head, and
now it seems the list has diminished

i tend to procrastinate, it is just part of my personality
there are things that i say i am going to do, and i just
put it off, however at work, i am the complete opposite,
i am on top of everything, deadlines are always met,
schedules are done on time, reports are always in order

so it astounds me as why i can't do the things i need to
do for myself, and why i always put things off for another
day, i would never ever do that to anything work related

as the summer now flies by, i am going to try to shorten
the list and do some of things i had so badly wanted to do,
perhaps if i worked 24/7 everything would get done, as
i am much more productive in my work environment

i guess after reading what i just wrote, it seems to me,
when it comes to myself, i become lazy, as i will say
laziness is definitely one of my not so great traits

so here i go again, working on me, and trying to fix
what i think is broken!!

a work in progress, and on i go!

    Happy Tuesday.

Shirley!!! Congrats on being the early bird.! LOL@ cargobeepbeep.

Gm Iteach, have a wonderful day with Matthew.

Carol, I have a hundred lists laying around my house they are called "Honey Do Lists".
I keep adding to them. Slowly but surely somethings get done. Not always as quick as I would like..hehe.
If I didn't keep lists, I couldn't stop my brain from working over time.
    Good luck on your list.

The sun is out today and it's gorgeous.
I've decided to have a tea party in my yard, with my babies a book and me :o)

Wishing all Owls a terrific Tuesday.

  11. Good Morning All!!

CPGEM: Truth be told, summer can't be over soon enough for me. Things that need to be done, are easier and more comfortably done in the fall and spring in AZ. It's just too hot to do anything right now. Except swim. ;)

SHIRLEY: Congrats on FIRST! I heard your wake up call all the way down here!!

ITEACH: {{HUGS}} I hope you'll get that appointment moved up. I'm praying for you, and have a really strong feeling everything is going to be ok. Enjoy your day with Matthew! :)

LOVEY: Good to see you this morning!

TINA: I'll be thinking about you today...SWAK!! Oh, and I'll be singing Kumbaya...;)

TINKA: I'm going to sleep now..but wanted to wave HI!!

DIANNE: Heck, you didn't write and ask when I was coming to Denver...;)

    VIG: Hey, hello and howdy-do!!

    JODI: Hmmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm....hmmmm....hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm...hmmmm.... :D

    MEK: SWAK!....just cuz!!! :)

Off to bed with me...I think I'm getting a little punchy....I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

  14. Shirley you cracked me up this morning! Congrats on 1st.

Hi iteach, lovey, zona and scirish!

I always put things off that I think I will do in the summer. Because the moment I have to make the choice between doing something or being out having fun in the sun- the fun always wins! I am way better at getting stuff done in the winter.

Hope all you Hooters have a wonderful day today.

Shirley, I'll be back in a couple hours for breakfast (brunch?)

    ReplyDelete
  15. GOLDIE: Quick stop back in to say HI!! NOW I'm off to bed....I think. ;)

SACBARB: I'm really trying to get to sleep...I swear..;)

  16. Morning Zona (or is it good night?) and Goldie!

Goldie in a couple hours I will be at my skydiving lessons, then on to bungie jumping and scuba diving. I'm not sure I'll be able to fix brunch, but I'll try!

  17. Morning Glories!

Oh Shirley LMAO Cargo beep! You got first!!!

Iteach: Sending hugs and prayers for you. Never heard of swollen optic nerve. I agree with everyone from yesterday. Push to get the appt. moved up! Do you have managed care. Sounds like it. We do and they always book way out. I have had to be pushy before to get needed appts.

Tina: Iamb surb all willb fineb tobay! That is the novocaine talking. Sending you (((Hugs))) to!

Carol I occasionally make lists actually I make them in my head all the time. Then I do a reality check and say "do you really think you will get all of that done?" The answer is usually NO!

As for myself there always seems to be a work in progress and that comes with time constraints as I am usually taking care of someone else. I have a hard time relaxing and doing what I need to be done.

I had a list of projects for the summer and well...nothing is crossed off! There is always tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Shirley...I just read yesterdays comments...Do you get sinus headaches? It kinda sounded like that with the pressure in the back of your head. They can make you eyes not focus well, although it sounds like you need reading glasses as well.

iteach...My ex had optic nerve problems, I don't remember if it was swollen, but his vision would cut out every once in a while. It turned out to be problems with a deviated septum. I Googled swollen optic nerves and there are many causes, including a simple bacterial infection. In fact the article said that some people may appear to have swelling when they really do not. I hope this helps and try not to worry.

  23. Good Morning Shirley - You were first. Good for you. I seem to be getting slower this week.

Good Morning Iteach, Scirish, my ZonaBaby, Lynn and Goldie. You are all up and going, I am just up and that's it. Well my 'babies' are fed and that's the most important thing, although writing on the blog comes in at a close second. As long as I have my orange juice, it doesn't matter about breakfast. I am however waiting anxiously Shirley for my cup of tea.

Iteach - Today I hope you start demanding faster service for your eyes.

Zona - Loved our 'over an hour' talk last night. That's so much more fun than watching a movie. Now go to bed like a good little girl and I will write you later.

Shirley - There's nothing like waking up to a joke. It makes me feel like my grandkids are here - all warm and fuzzy.

Scirish - You didn't clear the room. The same thing happens every morning. Hang on and they will be back.

Lynn - You really are good at looking after other people. Remember Tweedle Dee? I think you are just kind though. It's not because you are avoiding other things. You are a giving person.

Goldie - I think summer is for having fun. Save the dull things for the dull days.

  25. Happy Tuesday!!

Shirley - congrats on FIRST -

Good Morning, Shirley, Iteach, Lovey (good to see you), Scirish, Zona (right back at ya), Goldie, Lynn D, and all who land.

Tina - I'll be thinking about you today - hope your root canal goes well.

Iteach - Still thinking about you - hope the doctor can get your appt moved up..

cpgem - your blog today is GREAT - I have had the SAME list forever and this week, started being able to cross some things off - but with each thing removed - I add several - SO, it's a no win situation. BUT - progress is being made - heck, Salvation Army truck is scheduled for tomorrow - so I'm still "gathering"...

SO - I will again today be busy, busy..

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
    :-)

  29. Shirley - I am so happy you made your eye appointment. If you need and get glasses your whole world will seem brighter. I know that happened to me after I got my cataract surgery. I couldn't believe how bright the colours were everywhere I looked.

  30. Carol, You are so busy and organized at work you just have to slow down when you are at home. Other wise you would keep winding the inner spring until it snapped. You have to decompress somewhere and you can't do that at work. You are being too hard on yourself. You accomplish more in a day than 5 average people do altogether. Keeping this blog going so well is a job in itself. I think you are amazing if you are able to get anything else done besides your demanding job and the blog. (((Hugs)))) to you.

  31. Scirish - Now I have cleared the room. I will go over to myspace and read VIG's morning letter to me and I will be back.

  32. cpgem - I just re-read the blog - and I had to chuckle - PROCRASTINATION is my middle name for MYSELF and things at home, but in the work force, I was SO anal about deadlines, organization, etc. SO - that is why I had that little chuckle - WHY am I not like that at home?!! good question, and one that I decided this week to work on!! (I started on Friday) - it's amazing the progress I am making..

Zona - I agree 100 percent that it is really hard to do things when the temps get so high!!

Goldie - I've decided to "ground" myself and NOT play until I get some things done - funny, huh?!!

Lovey - your tea party sounds wonderful..

Lynn D - your relatives have been located!! :-)

Tinka - I see you waving back!!

Okay - I'm off to "get busy"!!

  33. Good Morning....as many of you know, and owl in Utah is going to the dentist today....I should let these lyrics do the talking...."HIT IT BOYS!"

    "Long Clooney Blues"

"Doctor Long Clooney. My dreams are full of Doctor Long Clooney."
I got a dentist who's over five feet tall.
I have a dentist who's over five feet tall.
His name is Doctor Long George
    and he answers every call.

You know, I went to Long George's office.
I said, "Doctor, the pain is killing me."
I went to Long George's office.
I said, "Doctor, the pain is killing me."
    He said, "Don't worry, baby.
It's just your cavity needs a little filling."

He took out his trusty drill.
    Told me to open wide.
He said he wouldn't hurt me,
but he filled my whole inside.
Long George, Long George, don't you ever go away. No.
'Cause you thrill me when you drill me,
and I don't need no novocain today.

Oh, when he got done drilin' he said,
"Now, Miss Tina, that is going to cost you ten."
"I was prepared to pay twenty"
Yeah, yeah, yeah, when he got done drillin' he said,
"Baby, that's gonna cost you ten.
But if it ever starts in to throbbing,
come back and see old Long George
again and again and again and again and again.
    Oh, yeah. Yow!

    "Long George.
I sold my heart to Doctor Long George and I will never, never be the same.
Oh, that's so heavy I just gotta lay back."

  34. Carol I've been playing too much and forgot that I hadn't responded to the TOTD.

I think when other people are involved it's easier to get things done. When it is just something for you it's easier to put it off till tomorrow. Unfortunately tomorrow never comes for somethings.

Look at me. My eyes have been bad for about two years and I have just made an apt. for an exam. Had I gone when I was working I would have had insurance to pay for glasses. Now it has to come out of my very empty pockets.

  35. Good Tuesday morning Owls! Saying hey, hello and howdy-do to shirley, iteach, lovey, scirish, zona, goldie, lynnd, whabbear, tink, mek, delores and everyone that arrives later!

Shirley...beeping backatcha! Congrats on first, second, third, forth and fifth. Good job on getting your appointment made!

Zona... morning merry sunshine! Now go to bed!

iteach....hope you are able to get in to see the doctor very soon! Thinking about ya tons! Enjoy your special day with your son!

Tinka...really enjoyed our chat yesterday! Extra hugs for you today.

Carol..great blog! I have similar patterns! Work always gets done spit spot at work and gets put off at home...especially in the summer. But I think that is because we learn as kids that summer is about having fun. And home is a retreat - a place to relax and recharge from work. Besides I made that summer to do list, put it in one of the very messy drawers that was on the list to clean this summer...haven't seen the list since!

Have a great day everyone...productive or non-productive...whatever you want it to be!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Happy Tuesday Owls.

Carol, You do so much at work, for the Owls, and your family, you need to let down sometimes. I was the same when I was working...Deadlines always met, and everything was very structured. I think Tinka's theory is right on...if we did the same thing at home we would snap...or at least I would. I do know people who are very organized both at work and home, but those people hardly have any fun. I think I like our way better.

Shirley, LOL and congrats on first. I'll take a pancake, thank you.

Lovey, there's that red hat and boa. Missed you.

Zona, GOOD NIGHT...I'm yelling because I want you to hear me in the bedroom.

Tina, I'm thinking about you today and saying a prayer that Dr. George will take good care of you.

Waving a wing to Goldie, LynnD, Tinka, Bear, MEK, Delores and all who land after me. I am off to run errands before it gets too hot!

  37. Procraassstinaaation I'm making me wait!

    (sung to anticipation)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good morning!

Congrats on first Shirley! Is this your first first?

I don't think Tina will mind going to THAT dentist! ;)

Oh man, I am a procratinator too. I still have lots of stuff to do in this house that I haven't done yet. Luckily, my mom is great at getting things done so she has done lots of organizing for me.

I wish she'd passed that on to me!

MR. EBJ is good at getting things done too so at least there are not 2 procrastinators in the house.

Iteach if your dr. said you might have meningitis I would think that is urgent and they would do some diagnostics right away. That isn't something that should be put off a month!

Blood tests and a spinal tap are usually what they do first.

If it's viral, it is less serious and there is really no treatment.

I would imagine your dr. is thinking viral and that why he is being so casual about it. But I would still insist on quicker treatment and referral.

Just telling you what I know from experience, and knowing several people who have had it.

They all had symptoms such as headache and fatigue.

I hate when drs. tell you you "might" have this or that and then you have to wait and wait. You might consider going to patient assistance and ask them to help. Many times they can.

Has anyone ever been to Mimi's Cafe? It's a chain restaurant, not sure if just in this area or not. We ate there last night and the food was tasty, plus good size portions. MR. EBJ is a big guy, and he couldn't finish his food!

    Have a nice day everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Why EBJ that is a rather personal question don't you think? (in my best southern voice) The answer is no it isn't my first time. Have a good day!

  41. More owls have arrived since I was flying around myspace.

    Good Morning, Vig, Delores,
SacBarb, Lynn and East Bay J.

I am back on my "right brain, left brain theme again but 'they' say left brain people keep lists and right brain people do not. I think it has been proven that there really isn't any difference in the end result. My sister could never understand why I didn't keep lists. It worked so well for her. Making a list for me doesn't get the job done any more quickly. She liked to be able to check things off on paper when they were done. I checked them off in my head.

I really believe in that song from "Show Boat". "Summer Time and the Livin' is Easy". That's my theory.

Delores - You are quite a poet. I hope your poem gets Tina through her pain today.

Tina - Thinking of you, with (((hugs)))

VIG - I love it when you have time to post in the morning. You have been so busy lately.
I think you do a fantastic job with kids. Talk to you later.

SacBarb - I agree. I think we have more fun.

Shirley - Are my pancakes ready? May I have strawberries and cream on mine?

EBJ - Mimi's must be American only. I have never heard of it here.

I would like to thank Shirley, Tina, Vig, Zona and others who have sent me messages and comments today about my sister. It was two years ago today we found out she was sick and had three months left. I am trying not to re-live the day but rather to focus on happy memories. I can't say I am exactly successful at doing that. Quite a few of us have had sad anniversaries this summer. I guess we just have to work through them.

I am off to the doctor's to refill my three month prescriptions. Thank God I only have to pay about one percent of the cost or I wouldn't be eating this month. The total would come close to $2000.

Have a great day owls. I will be back late this afternoon.
    Love, Tinka

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good Morning Owls!

My "To Do" list always seems to grow no matter how much I get done. I don't know why I even bother to keep one, because it's more discouraging than helpful. LOL!

Shirley, glad you called your eye doctor and Iteach, hope you'll do the same.

Back to work so a quick Hello to everyone!

    Have a beautiful day!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tink...thinking of you tons today. Hope the diversions you have planned help to focus on the good memories. And thanks for your kind comment! I haven't been on for awhile and like it when I have time to post in the morning too, but my summer job means I am busy getting ready to go to work in the morning and too tired in the evening.

Sacbarb, EBJ, Amicus....you have flown in since my first post. Happy Tuesday! Have a great day!

Off into the sunshine to enjoy my day off today!

  44. Good Morning Owls...

~Shirley, I never thanked you for the yummy lunch you made yesterday and now I must add congrats on being first.

~Carol, I love to keep lists for myself, but I get irritated when my husband says "Make me a list of what you want done around here." I know, I know... how lucky am I to have someone willing to do these things. But why should I have to make a list that points out the obvious? THAT's the problem I have with making his list. I need to put every single detail on it or he doesn't "get" that it needs to be done. And really, do I need to put on MY list the fact that I need to make HIS list? It just keeps going in circles. I do enjoy the process of making a list and marking things off. It is a feeling of accomplishment.

I need to go now and make a list for all the things I need to finish before tomorrow. I have a birthday party for two sweet little boys that are turning 7 years old. OMG, I can't believe they are already 7!!

I'll pop in later and see how everyone is doing. Have a fun afternoon!

    ReplyDelete
  45. 69 for Tina in the dentists chair

    ReplyDelete
  46. Glynis, Happy 7th Birthday to the boys!!!! Take lots of pictures! What do they want for their birthday?

All this talk about lists reminded me that before Dad had his stroke he was constantly making a list of things he had do. When his dementia began taking over, his lists turned from things to do to songs. I have a notebook with pages of song titles he wrote down. Not sure why it was song titles but it obviously ment something to him. He also wrote down an idea to sell donut holes door to door from a wheelbarrow. I just had to laugh at that one. He was quite sure it would be a hit. He thought the wheelbarrow should be red. I agreed that red would stand out and attract the customers.

  47. EBJ, We have Mimi's here and they are usually next to a Macaroni Grill. I have eaten there and I agree with you, food is tasty and portions are large. However, I like Macaroni Grill better because I love Italian food, but I don't order the Spaghetti & Meatballs since I learned the dish has 2200 calories! YIKES!!! Even if I only eat half, it's almost my day's allotment of calories. It's really good though!

Hi VIG, Don't work too hard today. Summer is supposed to be easy livin' according to Tinka.

  48. Afternoon Owls!!

    Shirley I love pancakes. Ty

    Zona Nice to c u 2 hugs

Mek Thanks, so very good to see ya. Yes my morning tea party was wonderful.

DeeDee!! Hi there. LMAO, I'm sure she'll love that tune. Loved your "no condiment"

VIG Nice to c u xox

SacBarbThanks my friend, I have missed u too.I was thinking of a new hat, but I kinda like this one lol it goes with my boa.

LynnD While singing your song I made a list of things I procrastinate :o)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Shirley Congrats on #1. Geez, you were so loud I heard you all the way ont he west coast! LMAO! I'm so glad you made you eye appointment.

iteach I hope you and Matthew have a grand day. Maybe you could squeeze in a call to your doctor, too, and have him intercede on your behalf with the neurologist.

Lovey Love seeing your owl here today dressed in all her finery.

    Zona ***whispering****Sweet dreams.

MEK I have a pile of stuff to take to Goodwill but it's still "a work in progress" so I haven't taken it yet. :(

Sweet Tink The song "Summertime" is actually from my favorite musical, "Porgy and Bess". Did you know it was actually written as an opera? I was lucky enough to see the opera performed in San Francsisco several years ago.

Delores That song ought to keep Tina distracted through her dental work today.

LynnD You are a very generous person. However, the fact that you feel you had an epiphany today probably means there is something there to take a look at. We are such wonderfully complicated creatures. I think it's great to learn something new about oneself. It's nice to know we can grow in more ways than just our waistlines. LOL

Waving a wing and blowing kisses to scirish, Goldie, Bear and anyone who comes in while I type this long ass post.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wow! All sorts of owls arrived while I was procrastinating about publishing my comment. LOL

Waving a wing at VIG, SacBarb, EBJ, Amicus, and Glynis. Actually, I got distracted and should have double checked the nest for new arrivals. Sorry.

Carol Thanks for the blog today. I was also much more organized and motivated at work than I am at home. It seems the more time I have, the more time I waste. I should probably try to set some daily goals for myself.

  51. OMG!!!! I forgot our Bear!!!! So sorry Bear I hope you're having a wonderful day.

Way too busy in the nest today for shoutouts, so I'll just say "Come on, everybody up~~GROUP HUG!"

Special thoughts to Iteach & K'girl.

Lovey~~can't run off without saying how VERY good it is to see you here (and I, too, cracked up at 'Dr. Tugwell', especially since we'd just been discussing odd or appropriate names).

Just posted an MS Bulletin with a question or two...if anybody has an answer. THANKS!

  55. Back from the doctor's and Zeller's. A quick hello before I have the Slim Fast that Shirley so kindly left just for me. Thank you Shirley.

Just_Lin - Thanks for the correction. I knew it was from some musical I owned. I guess I was thinking of "Old Man River". I have never seen "Porgy and Bess" but I would like to.

VIG - ((((Hugs))))) Talk to you later.

Glynis - Happy Birthday to your 7 year olds. Doesn't time just fly?

Bonnie - I will check your MS after my nap. I will be smarter then and will maybe have an answer.

Zona - I hope you are sleeping.

Tina - I hope you are drugged up and sleeping too.

    Have a great afternoon everyone.

  56. LOVEY- do you mean to tell me that people actually grate their own cabbage and carrots? WOW- the only way to make coleslaw is pre-grated and slaw dressing in a bottle!! :)

Hope you are well drugged and feeling no pain tina~

Hi and waving a wing at all!!

  57. Oh Carol....I'm exactly the same way. I'm so efficient and productive at work, and I could care less about the stuff at home I need to do. Stuff like dusting, laundry, emptying the dishwasher. Ugh...I get so lazy at home. I always say the same thing "Why can't I be at home the way I am at work?" Seriously....Why?? Is it because at home I don't have to impress anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  58. One moment please while I laugh my ass off!!!!! DeeDee....that was hilarious...thank you....from the bottom of my...uh....you know....what you called me yesterday! :)~

Shirley~ Congrats on first~ And....I'm sorry if you got offended by any personal questions.....but hell....it's just us....you can tell us if it's your first time! :)~ Also, so glad you made the appt~

Thank you to Zona, Kgrl, Jodi, Lynn D, MEK, sacbarb, EBJ, Tinka, Glynis, and Goldie for your well wishes~ They gave me laughing gas....I was so tingly all over...I could have stayed longer (yeah, not!) But all is good....the numbness is starting to wear off, so I think it's time for Lortab! :D

    ReplyDelete
  59. Tina a girl has to keep some thing a secret you know! Lol! I'm glad your appointment is over and all went well. There are some jello shots in the frig and I bet if you ask real nice Goldie will give you some of her "special" brownies.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Darn, I should have told Tina my naughty thought from church while she was under with laughing gas... she would have REALLY had a good laugh.

Tink and Shirley~ Thank you for the twins' birthday wishes. The camera is charging and I am about to go make macaroni salad.

Just Lin~ Waving a wing back at ya!! Have a great afternoon!

    ReplyDelete

Tina, glad your dentist appt. went well! Laughing gas sounds good :)

Glynis happy b-day to your boys!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think it was the laughing gas Tina...but it's OK. I dedicate the 100 to your tooth!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thanks EastBay!!

I think I better add some mac and cheese and doritos to my shopping list or they might think the food at the party is all for the adults.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Congrats on both marches, Glynis!

Does Tina know you let her have a 69 while in the dentist's chair? Plus, thanks to Delores, it was with Dr. Long George Clooney. No wonder she was "tingly all over". LOL

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm not sure Lin... 69 for Tina and 100 for her tooth! I hope she is still enjoying the laughing gas and George Clooney somewhere in the universe.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Glynis My son is 30 years older than yours! Yikes!!!! Happy Birthday wishes to your boys. Hope you have a great party!

    ReplyDelete

  73. Hello....EBJ: We have Mimi's here and love it. They have the best corn chowder there and we always take a 4-pk of muffins home with us.

TINA: Glad that root canal is over and you are on your way to feeling better.

SHIRLEY: Ok, now you know how much I love you BUT do you have to yell Wake Up so early? It was only 7:09AM Denver time and I am a late night person. I am glad you were able to get that eye appt. You will see a whole new world!!

You know ZONA, if I had all that "fun" swimming...I would keep that pool open year round!!

GLYNIS: Happy Birthday to your boys. They grow up too darn quick!

TINK: I hope you are finding a lot of happy memories to think about of your sister today. I am sure there are so many. Thinking of you and sending hugs.

MEK,EBJ AND SACBARB: Did any of you watch that Bachelor show last night?

I am a huge list maker and love to cross things off. I find if I accomplish something not on my list, I put it on so I can cross it off!! Now I know this may sound weird but I am a list "maker" not a "doer" so you can see why I do that..to feel like I am not a total lazy a@@!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Carol~ I meant to mention that I really like the new look of the blog. I love the paintings. Very calming...thank you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Dianne, yes I did watch the Bachelor show last night! I thought the end was kind of funny, when it showed Brad clicking to a different channel during Jessie's proposal.

    Obviously, he could care less.

I have never tried the corn chowder at Mimi's but that sounds good. We brought home honey oat muffins last night, yum.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I meant to comment on the list subject. I use post-it notes for everything, anything that needs to be done or anyone I need to call gets put on a post-it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Dianne - Thanks for your concern. Yes I did try to make it a happy day with happy memories. My new MacBook arrived this afternoon. VIG thought that was a good sign.

Tina - I hope you have a good night's sleep. My advice - Take all strong pills offered you.

VIG - Thanks for the phone call. I enjoyed talking to you as I was sitting in the beautiful sunshine.

Zona - Mama says you can wake up now. Talk to you later.

Amicus ((((Hugs)))) for the picture comment and just because.

Shirley - I am going to grab another Slim Fast. I don't feel like cooking.

BonO - Thank you for the picture comment. I loved it, especially the words.

Carol - Thank you again for a great blog.

I am signing off early today. I am looking forward to a nice long night's sleep. See you all tomorrow.
    Love, Tinka

  98. Goodnight everyone.... and thanks to those of you who left birthday wishes for the twins birthday tomorrow. I will show them all the pretty comment pictures in the morning and let them know that people are happy for them.

I just finished making homemade macaroni salad and pressing out hamburgers. I have a huge watermelon to cut up tomorrow and a salad to make, but I think I am ready. Berry just wrapped their gifts and we put them out so they could be tortured all day looking at them. (OK, I might let them open ONE!)

Carol, I wish their aunty from NJ could make it for the party!! Maybe someday....

OK, heading to bed so I can get up and make chocolate chip pancakes.

I cannot believe my baby boys are 7!
