This Night Owl Blog has given so much! It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"! We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly. And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :) It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

♥♥Tango and Tia♥♥
by Tina~in_ut
My name is Tia and I live with my older sister, Tango, and a nice lady named Tinka. My sis and I are Bichon Frise doggies and we are really cute. We live in Canada…..Victoria to be specific! We have a wonderful life filled with love and laughter.
Every morning we wake up early and our mommy lets us go outside. We have business to attend to every day. Lately, we have been letting Tinka sleep in because she hasn’t been feeling well. (She’s old, you know!) When we come back in, we get to eat our breakfast. We love our yummy nummies, but that stuff that Tinka eats, ewwwwwwwwwww……shredded wheat and orange juice. I guess those humans like that stuff.
After breakfast, we get to watch Regis and Kelly. Mommy also sits in front of a computer typing things and laughing. We just watch her and shake our heads. It gets really boring when she is on the phone, especially when she talks for hours to Zona and VIG. We try to be quiet and play, but sometimes it’s just too much and we start whining for her to get off the phone and take us for a walk.
I like going for walks. It’s a bummer during the summer when the weather is too warm, though. We don’t get to walk as long because our fur makes us so hot. When the weather is perfect, we get to go for long walks or to see grandma or to see the gardens. Tango is lucky, though. She gets to ride in a stroller. I get jealous and it must show because I get to ride in it sometimes, too.
Bedtime is fun. We get to watch a movie every night before falling asleep. We are allowed to sleep with our mommy. I’ve heard that other doggies don’t get to sleep on the bed. They have to sleep on the floor. How sad for them. We are all bundled warm and cozy with Tinka.
All in all, we have a fabulous life. Our mom takes great care of us. Do you have an amazing human that takes care of you?
Good morning Tango, Tia and Tina!

Congrats on first Shirley, and thanks for breakfast! How did you know I was starving?!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute blog, Tina!
Smooches to Tango, Tia & Tinka! Not necessarily in that order. :)
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteShirley you got first! So happy to see you cooking breakfast again! (((Hugs)))
Tango and Tia it was so nice for Tina to write this blog for you!
What lucky little ones you are. I wish I had someone to look after me the way you have Tinka.
Will be back in a bit.
Good Morning Shirley!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on First, second and third! Nice to see you back♥
Breakfast looks great!
Hi, Donna! Hope you are feeling better too♥
Tina, cute blog! Tia and Tango are just too cute! So is Tink♥ ;o)
off to the shower, feel like dejecta this morning. hopefully the shower will help.
Hello to everyone posting after me♥♥
Good Morning Lynn♥
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Hooters! Is that the correct verbage? Congrats on 1st Shirley and thanks for breakfast. I'll just have the bacon please.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Pepper and my mommy is writing this for me. I am an amazing black lab, but haven't mastered the keyboard yet. Nice to meet you Tia and Tango. Would give you a good sniff if you were closer.
I live with mom and dad, Mr. & Mrs. Goldie. They are great humans.
They were very easy to train too.
A couple of those "woe is me" looks and they jumped all over themselves to please me. I found it very helpful to be house trained in 3 days, and to have never chewed on their posessions, only my own.
After we established the ground rules that "I am the princess",I slowly led them into the land of princess rules. I sleep on the couch, am allowed on the foot of the bed, I get to run free (no kennel or crate for me). I love to play fetch, and I have taught them to both play a good game of it. But dad throws better then Mom.
Every night at about 7:30 I get my little cup of doggie ice cream. It is what make the world go round!!!
My vet says its ok, because I am trim and fit and it is non-dairy.
My humans buy me toys, and treats and take me for sniffing walks everyday. I love my sniffing walks. I meet up with some of my best friends that way.
They are not perfect, sometimes I have to look at them like "hello- I gotta pee or your late with the ice cream" but over all they are pretty good folks. Best of all they love me with all their hearts.
I am interested to hear about all the other humans out there who are owned by pets. I hear there is some raunchy bird who knows some interesting words!
Happy Tuesday!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning..
Shirley - congrats on FIRST and thanks for breakfast - it's good to see you again..
Pepper - you are one lucky dog, to have Goldie for your mommy!!!
waving howdy to Shirley, Hart, Birdee, Lynn D, Goldie, and all who land..
Tina - thank you for sharing Tango and Tia with us - they are SO lucky to have Tinka!!! as are we!!
My "children" will have to stop in later - as I have tons of places to take my mother to today!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
Good Tuesday morning Owls. And in honour of today's blog writer, barking hello to Shirley, Hart, Lynn_D, Birdee, Goldie, MEK and those that bounce in later.
ReplyDeleteHappy Election day, my fellow Canadians. Our federal election to elect the prime minister is today. It was called six weeks ago and has been a very boring and uneventful election.
Tia...thank you for writing the blog this morning. I have met you in person and knew you were extremely cute and friendly, as is your sister Tango, but didn't know you were also very talented. Great blog, dawg! I like when I come to visit the nice lady who you live with and you and your sister make me feel very welcome....you come to the door and you let Tink know that I am there and then you get quite excited when the door opens. It is always so nice to see you and you always let me sit by you on your couch...you are a great hostess! I especially liked seeing you the last time I popped by and you and Tango had decided to have a makeover...your white fur had black highlights and Tango had pink. You both looked very chic and elegant. (I think maybe you had both rolled in something...but you looked sooo cute..and I thought it was very fitting that Pink Tink had a pink dog!) I look forward to seeing you and Tango again soon and to read more of your blogs! The Adventures of Tango and Tia!
Pepper..nice to meet you. Sounds like you have trained your humans well! Icecream at 7:30...that was a great idea you had for Mr. and Mrs. Goldie...you and I would get along well!
Zona...are you busy with that noodle or something? Just wondering where you are and hope all is well! I just wanted to let you know I have been singing Dolly's song since your blog on Sunday. Catchy little tune isn't it. I think I am particularily good at the high notes and know the people in the grocery store line-up were making faces and giving dirty looks because they couldn't hear the full extent of my voice because of the PA and the musak that was blaring! Hmm!
Good Morning - I can hardly type because I am laughing so hard. I was planning on checking in before I fed my babies but I never expected to see their pictures when I opened up the screen. Tina - You are a hoot and I love you. I will be back as soon as I tend to them. I won't show them their pictures or else they may get a "Star" complex and become very demanding.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry. I forgot to say Good Morning Shirley, congrats on first.
Good Morning Donna, Lynn, Goldie, Mek and last but never least VIG. Be right back and thanks again Tina.

ReplyDeleteTia and Tango: You are so cute! You both beat the pants off Louise! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi, T & T~~My name is Mick. I let Mom stop here on the way to the kitchen to begin her morning duties. She gets a bit cranky when I wake her-----ever so gently----with several pawstrokes to the nose, cheek and forehead. Hey, I just want to let her know the morning paper has arrived! It's my job. (Did I mention that this usually happens around 5 a.m....Sunday mornings are the most fun, as the paper comes even earlier...but I digress).
ReplyDeleteI'm 9, ever-so-handsome, slender and just as fit as when I was a wee lad. I'm definitely the strong, silent type, but very lovable. My twin sister, Willa, is so jealous when Mom pays attention to me. Poor girl, while I just get more handsome with age, she's gone totally gray, has gotten quite paunchy, and loves to talk, talk, talk. I finally realized Mom does like her better...I think they just have more in common (if you get my drift from previous sentence!) But, I must go to the patio door and 'make nice' now. I see squirrels and birds that need to be chased away. That, too, is my duty as Man of the House. Tough job, but---truth be told---I'm a sweetie, and it's the least I can do for Mom and Sis. Oh, and come visit any time, even if you (gasp) don't like cats. Willa and I have a tendency to clear out whenever company comes, so you would never know we're here....IF you promise to leave after a few days. If not, we'll come back and show you whose space you've invaded!
Can't wait to park my purring cuteness right in front of Mom's monitor later. It'll be fun watching her bob and weave to see around me as she reads your stories to us, so DO TELL. ~~bbl~~
Whabbear - Good Morning. Tia and Tango say "Thank You". They think you are pretty cute too.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Bon'0 - I haven't read the Mick's comment yet but I will get to all of them now. Mick appears to be as good an author as his mom.
Tina - What a sweetheart you are to write a blog for Tia and Tango. I am trying to teach them how to type but as smart as they are their paws find it hard to type the right keys. You have made my day my lovely friend.
ReplyDeleteShirley - Thanks again for breakfast. I will have fresh fruit and pancakes with my tea. I was going to ask if I could share Bebbi's and Iteach's Slim Fast and then I read the next comment and saw you didn't forget me.
ReplyDeleteHi Tango and Tia..I'm Nikki. I'm a Border Collie, cocker spaniel, sumthin' else mix. I was born in Mississippi and brought to Az..so I'm really a southern girl at heart.
ReplyDeleteI love to run, and run and run. My mommy thinks it's because I'm only 2 and have a lot of energy, but the real reason is so I can watch her chase after me...there is just nothing funnier!!
I sit next to my mommy's feet when she is on the phone with your mommy, and I cry..and growl and whine to get her attention. How come that never works?? I think we need to come up with a better plan!
I would sure like to meet you someday. Canada sounds like a beautiful place...and your mommy sounds just wonderful.
Donna - Tango and Tia thank you for the smooches. They love them, the more the better.
ReplyDeleteLynn - You come and live with me and I will find someone like George Clooney to look after both of us. We could have a ball.
Birdee - I think you win the "cuteness" category, both in looks and writing.
Goldie - I would love to meet Pepper. She sounds like quite "The Princess". My last dogs before my Bichon babies were
a Black Lab and a Golden Retriever. They looked after me when I was suddenly on my own. They looked after me as well as I look after my little ones. There is nothing like a Black Lab for loyalty. Don't tell Tango and Tia I said that as they think they are the best in every category.
My first #25 in weeks. Do I get a prize?
ReplyDeleteTINA: Awesome blog...
ReplyDeleteSHIRLEY: Congrats on FIRST!
VIG: I'm not feeling so hot..running a fever, headache...same old same old...thanks for thinking of me! :)
BIRDEE: Hope your shower helped and you feel better.
TINKA: Good Morning to you and your now famous babies!
Waving HI to HART, LYNND, GOLDIE, MEK, BON'O, and BEAR...
Tink- Pepper says thank you.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the loyalty. I love that dog with all my heart and would throw myself in front of a bus for her. The kicker here is that I did not want a dog, did not want her and was totally pissy about it the first few months we had her! She upset my routine and I do believe in hindsight I was jealous of her. Now I can not imagine life without her.
I never got the whole pets are like children thing before Pepper came into our lives. My boys now call her their "sister"!
Bon'o - Your Mick writes like a pro. He could get his work published. Have you ever thought of that. My Teddy and I will visit you someday. Teddy is a big orange male. Do you think Mick would like him to visit?
ReplyDeleteZONA- feel better!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteZonababy - As soon as I say Good Morning to you I will be ready for your phone call. I have nothing else to do today except vote. I must do that some time today. As VIG said it was a boring election time but at least it's over fast. Any more than eight weeks of those ads and I would have sold my TV.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to talk about our Thanksgiving. Thank you all for your lovely picture comments. After dreading the first Thanksgiving after losing mom, I really did have a great time. It was an historic Thanksgiving in our family because my ex who had not spoken to me for 20 years (not until Mom's funeral and he did the eulogy) invited me to attend Thanksgiving dinner at the Bear Mountain Resort with him and our kids. I think it was a gift from my mom.
ReplyDeleteI hope all of our Canadian Owls had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now I am going to get ready to celebrate the American one too. One can't have too many Thanksgiving Days.
Tina - Tango and Tia wanted to thank you for making them Stars of the Day.

ReplyDelete35
ReplyDeleteAww, Tink, thanks much. Funny you should say "Teddy is a big orange male. Do you think Mick would like him to visit?" Too bad my daughter (who used to be a vet tech) is not here to answer that. Her answer would be that Mick would be 'happier than Bear at the Lone Star!' Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteWow Tink- that is fantastic about your Thanksgiving dinner. Glad your ex finally saw the light! It really was a gift from your Mom.
ReplyDeleteShirley- it seems that Pepper ate all the bacon - but the gingerbread pancakes were great!g
Good morning,
ReplyDeletePoe here. I am the talkative one, so will talk about myself and my sister Paula.
Paula is asleep on her bed (mom and dad sleep there too).
Paula is 16 1/2 years old. Around here she is known as the kittycat princess (is that dumb or what?)
My mom adopted her when she was 8 weeks old. She's had her a long time!
She has been sick for almost a year now, she has to get something called "lactated ringers" put under her skin every other night. She hates this and hides under her bed now. Dad has to go get her and hold her, and mom pokes her.
But, she is doing ok.
Now on to ME! I'm called a Congo African Grey, I'm about 9 years old. I was adopted by my mom and dad, I had been rescued from an owner who was not very nice to me (and yes Aunt Goldie, that lady taught me some very bad words)!!
Mom said she felt like she was adopting a human child, because her and dad had to fill out stacks of papers, have telephone interviews, and had to let someone inspect the house to make sure they would be adequate birdy parents.
They had to drive over 4 hours to meet me, then, once they met me, if I showed any signs of not liking them, they would not be allowed to take me home.
Now here I am years later, I don't say bad things too often any more.
I did learn a new sound this week, thanks to our neighors. The neighbor has been making something and hammering a lot, so the past couple days I have been making that sound too!
I think mom is getting tired of my hammering, because she will tell me SHHHH and then I tell her to shut up (yes I am a sassy boy).
I was happy when Paula and I got to meet some blog buddies in August! I was on good behavior and enjoyed the company.
Aunt MEK stayed with us and I think she really liked me!
Thank you for breakfast Shirley, I will have some wheat toast, hashbrowns and fruit. I'll take a piece of cheese too if you have any!
Nice to meet you T&T, and thanx to Aunt Tina for writing such a nice blog today!
Good afternoon Hartldo, Lynn D, Birde, Goldie, Mek, Vig, Tinka, Whabbear, Bon'O, Zona and EBJ.
ReplyDeleteI just got home from voting (federal and local) & some errands. I called everyone I could think of this morning to take me but no one could so I ended up walking. Now my knee hurt like a son of a b#@$h. But I got my hair cut. It had been six month and it was way too long. I just got a dry cut and it was only $10.00 but I feel quilty for spending the money.
Thank you all for the welcome back comments and the comments on my glasses. My mum thinks my glasses look "stupid" but everyone else seems to like them. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by her comment. I guess it doesn't matter how old you are you still look for approval from your mum.
Zonababy - I was so eager to get off the computer so I could get your phone call I forgot to say Hi to Nikki.
ReplyDeleteNikki - I think you are a beautiful dog. Your mommy says you are part cocker spaniel and part Border collie but I think you are a purebred Labrador and your mom is fooling you. She doesn't want you to get conceited about your royal heritage. I am going to meet you next year when VIG and I come for a visit. I will play lots of running games with you.
VIG - Tango and Tia no longer have highlights. I know how Tia got hers. She will stick her head in the fireplace if I forget to close the screen. I have no idea how Tango got pink tufts. I think she secretly snuck out to the beauty parlor of her choice.
ReplyDeleteI have been catching up on some of the blogs I missed while I was unplugged. I have to say the blog on nothing was fantastic! Loved it. I actually laughed out loud a couple times, which I haven't done in awhile.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed someone new to the nest. Lani welcome!
Great blog today Tina...or should I say Tango and Tia. I think I'll leave some extra treats in the kitchen for all the pets that are going to stop by, and some water too.
Shirley Woo hoo!!! How great to see you here today. Not only are you first, but you even brought breakfast! Way to go! I'll take some scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and wheat toast, please. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteTina What a very cute and clever blog today! Beaner and Heater Tweeter are sleeping, as usual, but one of them will be back later to write a little something.
Tinka I'm so glad you had an especially nice Thanksgiving. (((HUGS)))
Bon'o - I really think we should get Mick and Teddy together. I think they would make a good couple.
ReplyDeleteGoldie - I know some people can't believe there are others who think of their dogs as children but it is so true. I don't know what I would do all alone in this big house if I didn't have my four legged kids.
East Bay J I am so happy Paula is doing well. You must be doing everything just right. Poe sounds like such a neat bird. Does he make visits? I would love to meet him too. You are lucky he adopted you.
Shirley - Tango and Tia thank
you for the treats and the bottled water. They love it really cold.
I haven't met Lani yet either. Maybe she will be on today. I have a lot of blogs to catch up on too. It is going to take a while.
Good for you for getting out to vote even though you had to walk. A lot of people would have used that as an excuse to stay home.
Tango, Tia, Teddy and I are going to have lunch, (Slim Fast for me and kibbles for the others) and then we are going to have our nap. I will vote this afternoon. It is a beautiful sunny day here so there should be a good turn out.
See you all later. Thanks again Tina for the fun this morning.

ReplyDeleteJust Lin - Good morning. Yes we had a lovely dinner and we were one of the lucky ones. We had a 4:00 sitting and were just finished when the lights went out over the lower half of the Island. The people ready for the 6:00 sitting had to go home. Thousands of people had their turkey dinners interrupted. I think a lot just settled for pumpkin pie eaten by candle light as the half cooked turkey waited two hours for the lights to come back on. It was an historic Thanksgiving in more ways than one. I know I will never forget coming home to a dark house. I will put up some pictures after our nap.
ReplyDeleteGood morning/afternoon, I am J/L's Heater Tweeter and I just wanted to slip in a little comment before my mother flies in. Lani is the good one because she lets me jump up onto the dinning room table when we are working on a jigsaw puzzle. She doesn't care that I sit on the pieces and they stick to my feet. I also like the way she smells, like crazy dogs, noisy parrots, and a mentally challanged cat.
ReplyDeleteHello Shirley, I hope you don't mind that I ate some of your breakfast even tho you don't know me. Thank you.
Lani LMAO!
ReplyDeleteTINA - Great blog!!! Your mind never ceases to amaze me!!!
ReplyDeleteTANGO AND TIA - Welcome to the nest.....I love hearing about your adventures!!!
PEPPER - I can't wait to meet you!! As your Mommy might have told you, I used to have a black lab named Dakota. I think I will always have a special place in my heart for labs (especially black ones!!!).
SHIRLEY - Congrats on first!!! You served breakfast while I was at work, so I'll just grab some fruit for a snack. Triple luv your new glasses. Very "naughty librarian".....lol!!!
ZONA - I hope you get your sweet self better!!!
NIKKI - Please take care of my friend ZONA!!
Waving a wing at the rest of my friends!!
My apple crisp is almost done baking. I'm taking some to my Grandma this afternoon.
I'll bbl!!! SWAK!!!
50!!!
ReplyDeleteTINKA - So glad that Thanksgiving worked out so well. I truly do think that it was a gift from your Mother. :D
ReplyDeleteQuick fly by. I just heard from Joey and he wants to tell everyone, "Hey". His laptop is still broken. He misses everyone and hopes it won't be too long until he can join us again.
ReplyDeleteShirley:
ReplyDeleteCongrats on First! Oh my, and breakfast was served, what a treat. And I see Mo has been shaved, as you offered mounds of bacon. Her arse must feel so light! Thanks Shirley!
:O)
Tina:
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing on behalf of Tango and Tia, I have gotten to know them so much better now. Kudos..
Tinka:
You have two beautiful pups... :O)
Tina:
I forgot to say, I like Shredded Wheat..however not has much as bacon...
Loved all the comments from everyone's pets, so fun to read.
ReplyDeleteBBL....
ReplyDelete:O)
Hey Lani- welcome, sorry I don't think we have met yet or that I have said hello!
ReplyDeleteI also apologize for Pepper eating all the bacon, but you know how those princess's can be.....
JODI- Pepper wants to meet you too. She loves people who love Labs!!
Hi Jodi and Carol. Thanks for the kind words about my babies. We just woke up and we are about to go and vote and then go for a little walk. This nice weather is not supposed to last so I must make the best of it.
ReplyDeleteHello Lani - Nice to meet you. Do you have a myspace?

ReplyDeleteTINA: Anytime... ;)
ReplyDelete72 for Jodi...I feel bad only mentioning her apple crisp... ;)
ReplyDeleteHi, this is Heater Tweeter again. I'm an 18 yr old tortoise shell kitty and my sister, Beaner, is only 17 1/2 yrs old. She's a Siamese mix and if you look closely at her eyes, you will see that they quiver back and forth which is typical for her breed. I'm pretty petite but Beaner is heavier than I. Sometimes, when she wants to be affectionate with me, she accidentally pushes me over. That makes me crabby and I give her a small growl and bite her. I only have one small tooth in my head, but she gets the point. We spend most of our time taking naps. Sometimes we sleep out on the deck in the sunshine. Beaner tries to sit as close to the potted plant as she can because she's hoping the birds won't notice that she's a cat! She's so stupid! I can't hear as well as I used to, but otherwise, I'm in pretty good shape. Lani takes care of us when our mom goes away. I really like Lani because she gives us extra canned food.

Just Lin - You are so lucky or clever to get your cats to such a great age. I hope I can do the same with Teddy. They sound like wonderful pussy cats. We should have a kitty cat party someday.
ReplyDeleteTina - My dear, how do you manage to slip into 69 so easily? You must have practice.
Zona - You have been having fun while I was gone. Are you tired from all that marching? Don't forget to call me tonight.
Lani - Sign me on please at myspace/tinkatia.com. If that isn't the right way, just find me on a friend's page and click on 'tinkatia'.
Well, we have had our nap, voted, gone for a walk and now we are waiting for Brian to come and carry out the recycling. There is a lot this time. Then I think I have put in a pretty good day's 'work'. Ah retirement, Thou art Good.

ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Shotzie and I still look over the little girl I fell in love with 38 years ago.
For whatever reason I could never have pups of my own. So when Jennifer came along, I fell in love with her right away.
I slept under her crib every night. Whenever she woke up I would go lick her biological mother's face.
I enjoyed playing all her silly games even when she would put all her multi-color barrettes all over my short hair.
I have a lot of good memories of Jennifer and I will forever keep them close to my heart.
Oh, Zona, I wasn't even trying.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!!
MEK & IBB congrats on your new little nephew!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to my bed.
I hope everyone has a good night.
HI Tia & Tango!
ReplyDeleteI am Bandit and I am 6 years old, I am a male Pomeranian and I must be gay because I have a great partner that my Mom human got for me, but we have never mated like Mom wanted. Her name is Chloe. She is 3 years old and everyone says she has AD&D because she is silly and not real bright. She is really friendly though and very sweet to her humans.
I am the smart one, I trained my humans to throw the ball over and over again. Also, if they don't, I like to nudge the ball toward them and tell them to get busy! I start early in the day with my daddy human and end the day with my mommy human throwing it for me. Some days my daddy human gets the hockey stick and I stand in the doorway of the kitchen. He will hit the ball to me and I will be the "goalie". I am way better goalie and catch the ball A LOT!
I like to show off and wave, rollover, sit, lay, speak, stay, sit and all kinds of fun commands. I do not like teenage boys!! AT ALL! I don't know what it is but when they come in my house, I have to bite their heels all the way up to the teenage humans rooms that live here. I don't bite the ones that live here, only the ones that visit.
Now Chloe, she's really funny. She thinks she can take on any big dog she sees when we walk. My mommy human has to get her a special leash that she can pick her up right away if she gets too out of hand. I don't know what all the fuss is about, I just want to smell other doggyie's stuff. I always just smell and smell. I love our park.
One time, my mommy human was sick and she couldn't take me for a walk, so I just went on my own. My Human was really mad and worried. I thought it was funny and just kept walking until she came to join me.
Well, there are many more stories but that is a little about me and my good family. It sounds like you have a nice family too.
iteach: I hope you get to feeling better!

SHIRLEY...welcome back! I like the glasses. I'm sure there is no breakfast left, but my arse feels much better!
I had a long day, so I am off to bed.
G'night all.
Hello... My name is Tuesday... I live in northwestern Virginia with my mom , Dad, and brother and sister...
ReplyDeletei am a beautiful gray and white cat...I was rescued from a barn when I was a little baby... and thank goodness my momma responded to the add "free to good home"... I have been here 8 years now... a couple of my siblings are gone to heaven already...Kayla, Ellie Mae , Patch and Duke.
my sister Maggie is very loud obnoxious Hound Dog... she can howl with the best of them...She is spoiled rotten and is Daddy's girl... acts like she is the boss of me... If I go out on the deck to sunbathe, she chases me in the house... if I am really quick and get around the corner and down the steps the steps I can enjoy the sun in peace!!! When I come back in the house she always has to sniff my butt... I hate that!!!
My brother,Gus, is a mix breed ... we aren't sure what all is in him... but he sure is cute... and very loveable... he looks like he could take your head off... but he loves me... and protects my from our rowdy sister!!! maggie is a crazy thing when she sees squirrels in the yard.... you think they were her mortal enemy... is funny watching her run after them... especially when they are running on the eletric wires way over head... she acts like she can reach them or something.... she hates it when anything ... and I mean anything flies over the back yard..she chases airplanes helicopters and birds.. I think our backyard is a "no fly zone"
Gus just runs around the yard with her ... he thinks she is a little over the top also...
we all get along great... we sleep in the same bed together.. and sometimes we make room for mommy and daddy...
Mommy gives us treats when she gets home from work... anad sometimes she sneaks us extra treats when daddy isn't looking.... we have aunt Alice to come and stay with us when mommy and daddy go away... so it is not so lonely... we love Aunt alice... she brings treats every time she comes to visit too...
so I guess you could say we have a pretty good life!!!!
nice to meet all of you today!!!!
Oh i forgot to mention... gus thinks he is mommas boy and maggie thinks she is daddy's girl... but I am first in everyones hearts!!!!
I am the Queen of the house!!!!
TINKA/TIA/TANGO~
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved your Blog today!!!
And the other pets that wrote in, you also are ADORABLE!!!
I wish I had a little doggie to write about.
Miss Laurie and I almost were able to adopt a Maltese/Poodle female last week. We were second in line, and the first family got little "Minnie". Sad for us, but happy for the family that was able to adopt her.
All is not lost though. I may have mentioned this a few days ago, we are #1 in line for another doggie that comes available!!!
If it is appropriate to pray for that special doggie to come into our lives, then, we would surely appreciate the prayers!!!
I know this comment is very late, and that mostly it will be the West Coast Owls that will read this tonight, but I just wanted to wave a wing and say HI!
Also, just wanted to say that I am enjoying fresh delicious, sweet strawberries, Dove Dark Chocolate, and an excellent Sonoma County Zinfandel. This to me is heaven!! (and could be almost orgasmic)!!!
Try it ladies, you may agree with me!
Nightie Night, DJ
DonnaJ~ I am posting late too. I have been trying to catch up on the blogs& comments before I get too far behind!
ReplyDeleteTina,You and Zona did a good job writing the blog today. All the comments have been fun to read.
I decided to go to the Casino with Mr Mary today. We made a little money and ate a good meal.
It was a colorful trip up north with all the leaves changing color.
I am pooped, so i will be heading to bed. Hopefull I will get some 'puter time tomorrow.
Good night everyone who is still up!Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z
Sweet dreams, DonnaJean and Mary!
ReplyDeleteMary/MI, DJ, and J/L: Hello! Posting late here too!
ReplyDeleteDJ, that combo DID sound orgasmic! I love doing fondue dinners sometimes where the appetizer is dipping bread cubes in cheese fondue, the main course is beef and/or chicken cubes dipped in oil, and dessert is strawberries and cantaloupe cubes dipped in chocolate fondue!
And, ya know? A nice Zin would top things off quite nicely!
Shirley, good to see you back! And welcome, Lani!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Trixie. I am in heaven now, but wanted to let you know about my folks. I was not the smartest, cutest dog around. I was what you call a "mutt". My family loved me just the way I was. I was not very friendly to strange dogs and would not let them near me. I did have two babies once. One died and the other was adopted out to a great home. My Daddy Jim took me walking so I could chase rabbits and other critters. They tried to keep me inside but I wanted to be outside. They really felt guilty about that. I especially loved the snow. I would run through the deepest snow banks and watch Jim laugh! I lived a long time for a dog 18yrs. Thank-you for letting me go Jim & Mary I was tired.....
ReplyDeleteWell, I just noticed after reading most of the comments that CONGRATULATIONS are in order for our wonderful ""AUNTIES",
ReplyDeleteMEK and IBB!!!
I have no nieces or nephews of my own, but I am a Grandma of three, and I can understand the happiness and exhilaration the two of you must be feeling tonight!!!
There is nothing in this world that can compare to the the joy it is to hold a newborn in your arms, and smell that wonderful "newborn" smell!!! It is almost intoxicating!
I think that is why we mothers keep having more children, that smell becomes ingrained into our "memory bank" and we just want to have more babies!!!
Until, of course we are finally old enough to appreciate our own daughters and sons having children of their own, and we become the "Grandmothers or Grandfathers" ready to spoil our Grandchildren rotten, and then send them home to their parents, and hope that "what goes around, comes around" for our kids, and that their children give them as much grief as they did to us!!!
And a quick Hello to my dear friend SHIRLEY. I am so glad to see you again. Love you, dear one.
I think I am now going to go watch the Late News and hopefully be able to sleep. (sleep has been elusive for me the past few nights, which doesn't contribute to a happy morning or the rest of the day)
If anyone is still up, have fun tonight on the blog, and for those ready for bed, sleep well!
Peace & Love, Donna Jean
Now, where's SacBarb?
ReplyDeleteMary/MI That was very touching. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteYes, where is SacBarb?
ReplyDeleteMEK and IBB: Congrats on the new addition to the family!!
ReplyDeleteBon'O: LOL at your dog "digressing"! That hit the funny bone with me!
And as for happiness and the Lone Star, yikes! I made the huge mistake of 1) going there on Sunday night without eating something first, and 2) having an extra shot of tequila, knowing I was going to be off yesterday. Whoa! I spent most of yesterday on Mr Whabbear's couch, nursing a rotten hangover.
One would think I'd live and learn!
Mary - you just made me cry!! in a good way!!
ReplyDeleteWhabby - it's a FULL moon tonight.
Tina and Zona - thanks again for today's blog - I have enjoyed hearing from several of our pets.
I have been fortunate enough to have met many of them in person!!
Poe - thank you for letting me stay in your home and feeling comfortable enough in front of me to talk and let me give you snacks..
Nikki - thank you for the leg hump - you made me feel VERY special!! :-)
Tuesday, Maggie and Gus - you three are the best!!
I need to get out my number two pencil for the shout outs that I need to give - SO, i will do that tomorrow!!
i hope everyone has an excellent WEdnesday!!!
:-)
P.S from Trixie. I have been gone over two years. Jim, do you have to mow so close to my grave? The noise and vibrations wake me up! JK :+)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I can run & jump now with no pain!
Whabby - was there alot of drunk texting going on??!!
ReplyDeleteand SacBarb is at a family reunion!!! she'll be back soon.
You're right, J/L! That was a very poignant first-person (first-pet?) narrative from Mary/MI!
ReplyDeletemary - (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteMEK Thanks for the reminder about SacBarb. I knew that but forgot. Oh, and love the wonderful pictures of your new nephew. What a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteMEK: Alas! Something is wrong with the settings on my cellphone... I can't text right now!
ReplyDeleteI've been letting JAC down... but talked to her tonight in chat. It's getting sparse in there... tonight, just JAC, CG, Beth, Scrappy, myself, and... drumroll please... everybody's chat favorite, Roland, dropped in!
Thank you Whabbear and congratulations on your marriage.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lani! :)
ReplyDeleteJust Lin - thanks - They will be really sorry when I show up with MY camera!!! LMAO!!! there will be SO many pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteWhabby - sorry to hear your phone is acting up....... and i won't comment on the other!! LOL
:-)
Hi Lani!!!
ReplyDeleteWhabby, I love tequila, but I can taste it for d-a-y-s afterward. I am only allowed to drink it around Mr. Mary as it tends to make me.... should I say, "very affectionate" lol!
ReplyDeletemy eyes are bulging, I better get to bed!
Goodnight,Justlynn,Whabbear,MEK,DonnaJ& IBB
Bear I didn't realize Roland was still around, but then again, I only have time for one blog. :)
ReplyDeleteLani Hi! :)
Good night, Mary. It was nice to see you tonight.
ReplyDeleteNighters to Lani too!
ReplyDeleteNite mary..
ReplyDeleteokay - I guess I must -
rollin, rollin, rollin, keep that shuttle rollin, roll on!!!!
OH - i can't believe I just did that....
I love a good Margarita! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay - i must go to bed...
ReplyDeletenite, Whabby and Just lin and anyone else that is still up!!
Good night, MEK and congrats, again.
ReplyDeleteSo, Bear, do you have several fondue pots going at the same time??? All of that sounds too good to handle!
ReplyDeleteI had a great fondue pot back in the (gasp) 70's, sold it at a garage sale in the 80's, and now wish I had it back!
I know that now you can buy newer more elaborate ones, but, I wish I still had my 70's fondue pot!
And yes, nothing more orgasmic (at least food wise) than chocolate, strawberries and red wine!!
I loved seeing the Wedding Photos of you and Huz on SSL's MySpace. Since I don't have a MySpace page, I don't think I could see the photos you posted. (SSL's page is somewhat open for public viewing)
What a gorgeous venue for your Wedding, and the hotel rooms were absolutely lovely!
I need to check this place out, just for a weekend "away from home". (sometimes I get a weekend away without Miss Laurie, and am always looking for new and exciting places to visit, not too far, but far enough away to feel like I am "on vacation" :)
TTFN, DJ
PS I am getting really tired, could it be the orgasmic strawberries, chocolate and wine???
Goodnight Mek, goodnight Mary, and J/L start baking that tuna casserole. Goodnight everyone Love, Lani
ReplyDeleteGood morning everyone, I have been asked to help out with some accounting work at the office today (that I will be doing taxes in next year), so I won't be back until later today.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
