"OH, DEJECTA!"

by Just_Lin

I learned a new word the other day, "dejecta". I had to look it up but perhaps you won't need to.

We usually know dejecta when we see it, although sometimes we may not see it and end up walking right into it. Hopefully, we know it when we hear it and are wary of those people who are full of it. We don't want to take any of it, but, too often, we put up with it. It's probably getting stirred up a lot more than usual these days and it means real trouble when it hits the fan.

Some people think their dejecta doesn't stink but we all know better than that. Some people don't know it from Shinola. Others don't have theirs together. Sometimes we have to work through it in order to get to the bottom of it. At times, we may feel we are just shoving it against the tide or are treading knee deep in it. Hopefully, none of us are up dejecta creek without a paddle.

So, have you had to deal with any dejecta lately? Have you found yourself uttering the words "What a bunch of dejecta!" or "Don't give me that dejecta!" or "Whose dejecta is this?" Perhaps you know someone who has dejecta for brains. Please tell. I find everyone else's dejecta to be so much more interesting than my own. No dejecta!

  1. 1. I change it daily with one year old.

    2. My three year refuses to do it in the potty.

    3. I stepped in it yesterday when I mowed the lawn and I don't own a dog!

  2. Last one, my scale yesterday was full of it.

Love the Blog Just/Lin. Too funny!

    Congratulations iteach on 1st.

I've got a lot of dejecta to do today and will be gone for a while, but hopefully back on this evening. You know how dejecta can get pilled up and you just have to take some time and do something about it.

I better stop now, I probably sound like dejecta, going on and on.

Hi to everyone who flies in after.

    Congrats on 1st iteach

j/l I laughed my ass off. Loved your blog!

I am always up to my ass in dejecta at work and I have a couple of other things to. I have a niece-in-law who is so full of dejecta she is the family entertainment.

I believe a certain politician and running mate are full of it too. As well as the current admin.

My neighbors yard is full of dog dejecta- something I hate! I damn near follow my dog around and pick it up before it even hits the ground. You would never know we own a dog and you could walk barefoot in my yard.

I finally posted a few pics of the wedding- more to come!

Shirley- smiling back at you, hi IBB and ronnie and zona.

    DEJECTA, DEJECTA, DEJECTA!!!!

    I LOVE that word!

Just last night, right before Laurie was to be in bed, and I was sorta "sleeping" on the recliner, she reminded me that I had not put on her freshly laundered sheets. Well, I said the "other" word three times outloud, due to frustration!

Well, she promptly corrected me and told me NEVER to say bad words again! Well, now I have a new word to say, and she won't know!!

And I have been feeling like dejecta warmed over, for the past week and a half.

No energy, no desire to do anything other than the bare necessities, etc.

But here it is, another new week has started, its Thanksgiving in Canada (Happy Turkey Day all my Fine Feathered Canadian Friends) and the sun is shining brightly and it will be a beautiful Fall Day in Northern California! And I don't feel like dejecta today!

So, the next time I feel like dejecta, I will smile, and remember this funny and oh so real Blog, and not feel so dejectable! (I don't think that is really a word, but it seemed appropriate)

Hope everyone has a good day today, and if you feel like dejecta, well, smile, it just might go away!

    Peace and Love to all,
    Donna Jean

Oh, and BTW J/L~ TERRIFIC blog today!!!!

  22. Good Morning Everyone:

Great Blog Just-Lin: I learned a new word.

I want to thank everyone for the Anniversary Wishes on Saturday, I was busy cleaning yesterday and still have 1/2 the house to go. Then my moms house upstairs. We had a very good time. We never made it to the movies. SO John said he owes us one. Dinner took to long, but thats ok we laughed, talked and just had a good time.

Boy Goldie, you are good with your dog Dejecta. My boys pick it up twice a week.

Lynn D., we'll be cleaning in the same rooms today, LOL TOLIETS, TUBS, I call them the YUK Rooms, especially with 3 boys. They just think that thing is gonna aim straight for the bowl. NOT!!!!!

Iteach thats funny about your 3 year old. My Anthony he was 4 when he finally used the potty for dejecta. He would wear underwear, but when it was time to go dejecta he would go in his room, take off his underwear and put a pull up on and go. I mean it would of been a lot easier to go in the potty.

Hi to RonnieGirl, IBB, Zona, DonnaJean, Shirley YAY your back, and Carol, I'm sorry if I forgot anyone.

Ok off to scrub the YUK Rooms.

  23. Good Morning All~~~Happy Thanksgiving, Friends of the Far North! Happy 46th Anniversary of the Columbus Day Storm to PNW pals (if that was 'before your time', Google, baby!)

J/L~~Good Grins! That was some funny dejecta! So, when folks get the flu and lose 'stuff' from every orifice, is that the "Dejecta Trifecta"??

    We never cease to amaze!!!

waving howdy to Iteach, IBB, Ronnie, Zona, Shirley, cpgem, Goldie, Lynn D, Donna Jean, Renee Eve, Bono and all who land!!

  26. Hey, IBB - aren't the banks closed today!!! LOL
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. OH - about Dingleberry!!

Last year, during the college football season - West Virginia's team had two players that sat down on the bench next to each other- the announcer said, "Oh, i don't think they should let those two sit next to each other!!"..

One's name was Dingle and the other was Berry!!!

the announcers had WAY too much fun with that one!!!

it was pretty funny - guess you had to be there!!

okay - I have some dejecta to do..

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mek, the banks are closed LOL, I went there today, I needed to see a real person not a machine, boy was I shocked to see the bank closed it took me about 5 min. to realize its Columbus Day, at least I won't be looking for the mail man LOL, but at 2:00 pm I might have forgot and I'll be swearing at him. LOL

  29. Just Lin - I think I forgot to say...

  30. Great blog JustLin!
The end of last week I wanted to set fire to a paper bag full of dejecta and set it on a cyber troll's front porch, ring the door bell and then run. But then my true nature took back control and reminded me that I don't play third grader games.
When I find dejecta in my yard I just hose it away. I'm getting better at using hoses BTW. I haven't had any more accidents. Knock on wood!
DonnaJean it's great to see you as always.
ReneeEve I am glad that you enjoyed your Anniversary. So many marriages fail these days so 22 years is a wonderful accomplishment and says a lot about your love and devotion towards each other.
Tinkatia I hope that you feel better soon.
Carol I think the turkey goes gobble gobble in every language.;)
I hope that Amicus will return in the near future. I miss her very much. I loved our shared e-mails about pets.In our last e-mail she taught me about using a dremal tool to shave a dog's nails instead of using nail clippers.
Have a wonderful day each and everyone!

I will e-mail you later. I am going shopping at Sam's Club and then to visit my parents. Then I have to come home and spruce up my guest bedroom and guest bath for my sister who plans to come visit. My nephew is also planning to come down again but he plans to stay at his buddy's place. I am very excited. For 25 years my entire family lived in the same city up until this year.

  32. Hi All

I have been taking a break for a few days and will continue to be breaking after I write this. I am needing some time to get caught up on work and to enjoy that Thanksgiving tofurkey, but I just wanted to fly in to thank you for the wonderful and heartwarming Canadian Thanksgiving wishes! Sooo kind of you! I am so thankful for my Owl friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian Owls...Tinka, Shirley (welcome back!!) Lovey, CG, Whabbear (who started out in Canada!) Have a great turkey (or tofurkey!!!) day!!!

I celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday with my brother and his family who live up island. The turkey had just come out of the oven and the veggies were cooking and suddenly the power went out. We waited for a bit to see what was going to happen and by this time we were getting mighty hungry. We decided to eat dessert first...the pumpkin pie was ready to go...and then maybe by the time we were finished eating it the power would be back on! And that is exactly what happened...we ate the pie and the power came back on and we were able to finish cooking everything and have a fabulous dinner! And now I think I want to eat dessert first every year. I really enjoyed the pie because it was delicious and because I was really hungry and because I wasn't to full to enjoy it! My new mantra...eat dessert first!

The power was out for 200,000 homes on the Island for about an hour. I was wondering about Tink who was out for dinner with her family at a fancy place and what happened there. Did the power go out on Bear Mountain, Tink?

Happy Thanksgiving Day to you, Shirley, and Tinkatia!

If I was back with the family today, we'd be having turkey, mashed potatoes, turnip, peas, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin and apple pie.

Thanks to my Mom for all of her cooking efforts for all those years!

Isn't it interesting that all that Thanksgiving food ends up as dejecta!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mornin' Hooters. Thanks for the kind remarks about my dejecta blog. It's good we are expanding our vocabularies. LOL

My mom's wallet was stolen the other day and she had a lot of dejecta in it. :(

Carol, I think I like GOOble better. Sounds good when you say it out loud. Ha!

Goldie, Loved the wedding pictures, but didn't see any poles.

LynnD,I think you're right, we'll probably need hip-boots before the night is over. lol

Donna Jean, I like the new word substitution. Our children have a way of keeping us on the straight and narrow about this kind of dejecta.

Renee, glad you had a great dinner celebration with your family.

    Bon'O, Dejecta Trifecta...LOL, too funny!

Mek, lol I remember seeing Dingle/Berry jerseys side by side on the news. Thatwas just too funny for the announcer to pass up.

Vig, Happy Thanksgiving, and what a fun way to start dinner...desert first sounds like a good idea to me.

Jodi, Great brisk march. Have I told you lately that I luv ya?

    Tina, please, no dejecta pics.

Whabby, Love childhood memories of our mothers so lovingly cooking fabulous celebration dinners.

  42. I haven't gotten all the pics back yet- those were only ones on my camera. Mr. Goldie refrained from taking pole dancing shots....LOL
I'll let you know when the juicy stuff starts getting sent to me.

Thank you for all the nice comments! The photo's dont' do justice to that black dress either, it has a satin sash under the boobs (helping hold them up!) and it was great, as well as a nice swing to the skirt part.

So nice in fact that I had a Marilyn Monroe moment!! We were standing by the window in the church getting ready to take a picture when the air vent on the floor started blowing. My dress went up so fast I barely caught it before it went over my frigging head- but I got it just in time to prevent total humiliation! My nephews and everyone around just busted out laughing- and I laughed so hard I got the hiccups. Typical Goldie moment.

Today is a day full of dejecta. I need a cocktail.....

    ReplyDelete
  43. IBB George Carlin really knew his good dejecta from his bad dejecta, especially if he was smokin' it! LOL

GOLDIE: I loved your pictures too but was wondering where those pole pictures were hiding. I sure think your grandkids are adorable.

SHIRLEY: Nice to see you back on the blog. I missed you. I wish some of the other "mising owls" would fly by for a swoop.

I have been doing dejecta around here all day but it sure doesn't look like it and *drum roll* I am even cooking dinner!! If this keeps up, I will need to go get a check-up soon and see what is coming over me. :)

ITEACH AND BEBBI: You are walking inspirations. Congratulations on all your steps every day.

JODI: Don't toss that shirt but maybe when you wash it .. hang it out to dry this time. We need to get all that dejecta off it from yesterday!

Well, I guess I had better go check the oven for my dinner as I sure don't want to burn the dejecta out of it. Ok..enough...I feel like I am in class trying to come up with sentences!

  64. Many yrs ago, my cousin who is now passed, was dating a girl
from Canada, she was living in the states when they met. One yr
she went home for the fall months.

My cousin took myself and his
sister to Canada for a visit, we just happen to go over the Canadian Thanksgiving. We all stayed at her house, and celebrated the Holiday
at her Moms. I was able to have two Thanksgivings that year. The
hospitality we received was amazing. Her mom cooked a traditional Thanksgiving feast, all my fav's, it was delish! I had such a good time.

This is a memory, so very dear to my heart, more so that my cousin
is no longer with us. Eventually they broke up, and I always
wondered what ever happen to her, I don't even remember her
name... It is super Canadian Thanksgiving memory!!!

  92. Thanks, Carol! I can't wait for American Thanksgiving... we're doing it over at our friends Mark and Louie's condo in Palm Springs. Louie is an amazing southern cook, so my mouth is watering already!

  94. Mek, I also love Warren Sapp, and that Brooke is a really good Dancer, Cheryle Burke's partner is pretty good too. Rocco will be going tomorrow. Cloris actually tried to dance tonite, wasn't bad, still didn't vote for her, Susan Lucci did good. I was reading in the magazine at the therapist this afternoon, about Cheryl Burke and her weight, I think she looks good, she said she took the summer off and put a little bit of weight on. I don't know how people can call her FAT, She is no way near FAT.

Well Goodnight Everyone is 1:23 here and I have to get up to drive my boys to school.

Thank you Dreama for the Beautiful words you spoke of John and I, yes 22 years is a long time, but marriage takes work, and a lot of give and take. I'm not afraid to tell him anything and him me, I know he would never walk out on me and I would not on him. We have a very comfortable marriage, with spice ;0) but we work at it daily.

  99. DIANNE...imagine the thrill it will be if we can actually win 2 in a row! That doesn't happen very often!

Cloris did try to dance last night...still looked like dejecta, but at least she tried. Poor Rocco, baby needs to stick to dancing around a stove! But he sure had fun...gotta love it.

Denny Crane and his humming penis...oh my! I felt bad for Alan Shore.
