Love as we feel it~

Whitney Houston, I Will Always Love You

Chosen by Zona

"This song speaks of a love that never ends...no matter how much time passes. I believe we have all experienced undying love...in one form or another. I get chills when I hear Whitney Houston sing this...it's a great song by a great singer."

  6. Good Sunday morning..

    Congrats Jodi on 1st.
    Tina, Good morning.

Zona~I really like this song so much. I fell in love with it when Dolly Partin sang it in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and then when Whitney brought it out, Oh My Goodness. The lyrics speak volumns of the bittersweetness I've come to know so well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

  8. Morning Glories!

    Hodi slipped into first!

Whitney has a great voice and this song is so beautiful, but sadly I think about her marriage and the road she has traveled when ever I hear it. I really hope she will comeback and put our another album and wow people again.

    Iteach: St. Mattress? LOL

    Waving a wing at ronnie!

Oh I see tina is here too! Waving at you!

I am going to go worship at the coffee pot. See you all in a bit.

    Our heavenly coffee bean.....

  9. Good morning feathered friends!

ZONA...I think this is my favorite Whitney song. If my memory serves me correctly, Dolly Parton actually wrote this song.

TINA...say a prayer for me, ok!

CAROL...I see in area 51 that BIRDEE made you a foil hat to ward off the aliens. I guess she likes you better since she didn't make me one. She did however poop on my windshield.

I am meeting my cousin for lunch in less then an hour and I am still in my pillow worshiping outfit! Better shake a fat leg and get going!

Jodi Congrats on being first today!

iteach It seems I've been doing some extra worshipping at St. Mattress lately. :)

LynnD I've now switched denominations and I'm worshipping the coffee pot!

Zona This song is really a classic. Excellent choice! I need more coffee before I can listen to it today though. Dolly wrote it but nobody can sing it like Whitney!

  17. Mo and HOTina,
Yes I did recognize a few of you at The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. I believe MoHo, HOTina, and the head Crackwhore, HOCarol, had portraits hung behind the bar. Of course, you all were sans feathers and wearing blond wigs and stiletoes, but I could tell who you were. I guess HOCarol must be the head of this place because she had a boa draped over her shoulders and a big ole smile. As a matter of fact, there's a sign on the bar that says: "Take A Number And Be Seated"

I, of course, was just a visitor and don't know too much about these things, so I was really shocked!!!

Sorry these things had to be brought-up on a Sunday, but you asked me.

    *****************************

LynnD, Hope you get some sweet Baby Sugar from your little one today.

Waving a wing to MEK, Just/Lin and Bebbi.

  18. Ronnie:
Hmmm... I thought at the "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" visitor's were not allowed unless one was a participant, so what exactly were you doing there?

Things that make you go Hmmmmm...

    :O)

  21. Zona:
Great Sunday Music Video, I love this song, and its Whitney at her best, when she was a talented singer, and had the world at her finger tips.. Her voice has changed so much throughout the years, so I when I hear a song from her, when she was in her prime, it just reminds me of her talent....

    Great Choice, and Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Carol I did not forget you last night. Did you check your gmail?

    ReplyDelete
  23. 10a appointment, all done!

And I was a little off..$210.. Yikes, however I brought a product, and that is with the tip...

So today, I am poor, but as I said my hair looks great.....

And the product.. Moroccan Oil, I use it before I blow dry my hair, it makes my hair so soft, I have been using it for a while now, and I love the way it makes my hair feel...

  24. J/L:
Yes, I posted your QOTD.. and did see your other e-mail as well..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Congrats on first, Jodi! Hey, didn't you get first yesterday, too? You go, girl!

Zona, who couldn't love this song?? It's fabulous and Whitney's voice is perfect. I am like LynnD, I feel sort of sad when I hear this song because I think of Whitney and what she would be like today had she not married that mess of a guy. Great choice, Zona!

    LOL @ St. Mattress, iteach!

LOL @ "our heavenly coffee bean" LynnD!

MEK, you may not want to read all of Nicholas Sparks' books at once as you may be crying all month!

    Congrats on your steps, Bebbi!

    Have a great day everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I forgot to say!!!

I have been going to the same hairdresser for over a yr, because I get a single process each month, and a partial highlight every other month my hair can get coarse/dry. Today he told me my hair felt different, softer...

    Bingo!!! Moroccan Oil!!!

  30. I went to get my hair stylist on Friday as a blonde and came out a brunette (again!). Just decided I wanted a change. We're going to see if this rinse she's using will just highlight my gray and help me hide it better.

  31. Just popping in to say HI!!!

ITEACH - lol @ St. Mattress!!!

LYNN D - Luvin' your heavenly coffee bean!!!

TINA - When I was sitting in on Jake's Sunday School class this morning, and Pastor Paul was talking about the disciples....I really, really wanted to ask where Biff was!!!

DIANNE - I have my shirt on.....GO BRONCOS!!! I'm not sure I'll be able to get the game....so you'll have to keep me updated by text!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. HODI...don't forget the disciples Folgers, Maxwell House and Chase & Sanborn ;)~

I had a nice lunch (actually breakfast) with my cousin. Then I stopped at the custard stand (no Just Lin...not that one!) and indulged in a hot fudge sundae. Today is the last day they are open until next spring, so it was my civic duty ;)

Maybe instead of counting my steps, I should count my plate to mouth reps of my arm!

CAROL...what a shame that the foil hat will cover your new haircolor...maybe forgo the hat and take your chances! Maybe an alien named Charlie will find you!

  33. Sandie About 7 months ago, when Custard and I went with his friend to the Comedy Club in Hollywood, it was a Tues. night and hardly anyone was in there. One of the few, however, was Bobby Brown! He had been performing on a different stage. The comedian didn't know Bobby and his manager were in the audiance and the comedian started saying some very uncomplimentary stuff about him. The manager (a woman)told the comedian to knock it off because Bobby was in the house. She and the comedian started arguing and things got really tense for a few minutes there. Finally, Bobby stood up and said everything was cool and he left the room. It was weird.

  34. Carol Last Sunday I was at a rememberance get-together and the salon I go to for my former hairdresser who killed himself last month. He had made a failed attempt 8 months ago so I was seeing someone else there while he was recovering and getting psychiatric help. I was told that this final time was actually his third try. Apparently, it's what he really wanted to do as he made sure no one would find him in time. He was a very nice, compassionate and talented person. It is such a tragedy that he left us so soon.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Zona: I've always loved this song too! Before I actually saw Best Little Whorehouse, I had always interpreted the song as being about a woman in hopeless love with a gay man.

"I know I'm not what you need" etc.

But, no! It was just Dolly in love with Burt! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just_Lin, wow, that is weird. At least Bobby didn't start some stuff over it, which is what I think he normally does.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Where are all the peeps today? Worshipping something? :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mo: LOL at "plate to mouth reps"!
Back from the trip to "Pull a Part". Car Troubles are so FUN! (NOT!).

  45. Hi Guys!!

I'm glad everyone enjoyed my choice of songs today. I really do think it is one of her best, when she was at her best.

JODI: Congrats on FIRST! I think I liked Kevin Costner best in "Silverado". Boy was that a long time ago..but then I'm old.. ;)

ITEACH: I love Dolly's version too...

LYNND: I agree..you can't help but think about the talent that has since gone to waste...but when she was good, she was amazing.

MO: Rumor has is that Dolly wrote this song about Merle Haggard.

    MEK: How's 'nothing' today??? ;)

TINA: I wonder if, when the time comes, your oldest will get married in that church too? :)

btw...hope you said a prayer for me today...

RONNIE: Would it surprise you if I said I've never seen The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas? ;)

CPGEM: I bet you look gorgeous! :)

    SANDIE: A brunette? Wow!!

J/LIN: No pain in the arm...but running a fever..can we trade??

    ReplyDelete
  46. BEAR: From Area 51...I watched "2001: A Space Odyssey" at the theater when I was a teenager and didn't get it. I got drunk and saw it again in my 20's..it made perfect sense. Imagine!! ;)

BIRDEE: A51- I saw you, you early Chicken Owl!!

    TINA: A51- "Well shit.." LOL!!!!

  51. Hello...from sad Dianne/Denver...went to a Bronco party today. We women talked a lot but I think I noticed that the Broncos lost. Heck, we only dropped it three DAMN times!! It looks like the Raiders lost (again) and so did the 49er's and I don't know about the Seahawks.
JODI, are you positive you didn't take your shirt off for the second half? Next game...next Monday night against the Patriots.

TINA; We did not get the snow you said your were sending to us last night. It is cold again today and very rainy...but no snow.

The wedding last night was fun and the bride was beautiful. We had a good time.

ZONA: I love this song. Back in the "old days", I used to have big old ear phones and would lay on the floor and listen to music. I used to sing with Dolly Parton to this song--at the top of my lungs. I think it might have been beautiful but I don't remember anyone being around to confirm that with me.

    ReplyDelete
  52. MO: I thought I should correct my earlier post....Google says Dolly wrote the song for Porter Wagoner..and Google knows all! :)

DIANNE: I sang "Don't Rain On My Parade" the same way..only my sister told me to shut up...so I don't think I was too wonderful.. ;)

    TINA: Thanks. :)

  53. Mo Thankfully, I threw my iron away so I won't have to iron the water is it's wrinkled. :)

Tina Mine doesn't agitate when it gets full of water, either, if I don't have the lid closed. Unfortunately, I accidentally closed the lid, then got distracted. :P

  54. Flying through!

Here is a good laugh for all of you. Evidently the car was having problems because I drove home with the emergency brake on yesterday. Hmmm, guess that is why the back tires where smoking when I pulled into the driveway.

Hey I am peri menopausal! That is my story and I am sticking to it!

  55. Zona Do you still have a temperature? Hope you are feeling better.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dianne and Zona~ I did the same thing to the Carpenters~ The refrigerator man came to fix out fridge.....my mom told me to stop singing..what do you think that meant? :)~

J/L~ my old one agitated with or without the lid closed~ THAT'S how I got in so much trouble~

LynnD~ Stick to that story....and in a couple of years let me know if it worked....I may need to use it too~
