Petula Clark - Downtown (1964 TOTP)

I just love old songs, even if they were popular when I was a small child, if the song made a impact, it could go on forever. This is one of those songs, when I hear it today on the radio, I turn the volume up and sing along with the song, as this song just makes me feel happy, and when one is happy, how can you not sing along.

I adore this video, the singing, the dancing, everything about it makes me smile, and I am hoping you are smiling too.

Enjoy!

And now about that avatar.. Which drug of choice was used in the making of that! It seems to me you are a little punch drunk, or maybe you are just doing the "chickenowl" dance. I prefer to think you were on drugs, and it would all make sense then.. :O)

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

  33. Iteach - sorry to hear about your friend....

cpgem - I won't be able to listen to the music of the day - when i saw the Title - the flash back just came flooding into my head..

I used to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song - it would play on the radio and my sister and I would sing it to the top of our lungs....

but - our family was traveling cross country to visit our grandparents for the summer. (we were in elementary school) and this song was playing on the radio and we came upon an accident...... a semi-truck has struck a vw bug. The woman passenger had been thrown from the vehicle and was lying dead on the interstate. I can even remember the dress she had on. Her husband was just leaning against the front of the car with his head in his heads........ (I can see the whole scene like it was yesterday) - anyway, emergency vehicles had NOT shown up yet.. very tragic thing to witness as a small child......

I was not going to share this today, but I figured music does have it's good memories and it's bad........

So I have to go, and I really don't want to, as then we spend the day there and MY Sunday is shot..

I feel very tense, because I am doing something I don't want to do. I know I will be quiet today, and everyone will ask me whats wrong, and I will say nothing. When I really want to scream...

"I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE"

I don't feel peaceful enough for church, so I did not go..

So that will be my day... I am leaving in about a hr...

    See ya all tonite...

  40. Tinkatia, I go by Lois Lane, which was already taken when I signed up with Blogger. Nonewz was on my license plate for years, so I used that. But you can call me whatever you want. :)

iteach, what does hubby do? We live near each other, maybe I can help. Friends are weird sometimes. I hope she doesn't use you as a crutch too much based on her choices. It makes a strain on the best friendships.

Group grope (do I "know" you all enough for that) to Carol, Tinkatia, Mo, birdeechickenowl (that's a mouthful) Mek Vig and iteach! Have a great day!! I'm off to be the maid here also.

Oh reminded myself of a funny aside, the other day I was sweeping the kitchen floor and my daughter asked, "Mom, you going for a ride?" I was laughing to hard to biff her properlike. :D

  44. VIG - Thanks for printing John McCrae's poem "In Flander's Field. I love it.

Carol - As I guess you already read, there were poppies growing everywhere in Flanders that day and the dead were everywhere too. It made such an impact on John McCrae that he wrote that famous poem. The poppies are sold with the proceeds going to the War Veterans. The poppies are worn on the left lapel to remember the millions who have fallen since the First World War.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Mek:
I hope so too, the song made me smile this morning. However now the smile is gone as there is too much tension in my bones...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Tinka:
Yes, I saw Shirley's avatar yesterday and asked her if it was a Poppy, and it was. She then told me to Google Flanders Field, as that would give me the reason why the poppy on days such as Veterans Day and Rememberence Day is used...

    That poem blew me away...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Lois - Thank you. I am up for a group grope anytime.

Carol - I love all the old songs that bring back memories. There were four songs popular when I bought my Nash Metropolitan in 1956. They were "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis, "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation" by Marty Robbins, "Singing the Blues" by Guy Mitchell and "Young Love" by Sonny James. If I hear any one of them I am right back in my little Metro. I can still smell that new car smell. I made the mistake of adding a green pine tree to hang from my rear view mirror. That ruined the new car smell very quickly. I wonder if I can find those old songs. I will try. Thanks for the memories Carol.

    Congrats on first Lois!!!

Carol gosh I hit the play button and I don't know why everytime I hear this song I get a shiver up my spine. It just takes me back to being a kid and hearing Petula sing this song on the radio and TV. It is one of those songs that stays with you when you hear it.

I actually have this album by her. I came across it at a yard sale and snapped it up. I don't even have a turn table anymore but I had to have it.

I remember my Dad loading us up in the car to go visit relatives and he always had the radio on. This song and few others take me back and I remember the vinyl seats in the back of the car (no seat belts) my brother and I sipping our soda and eating our treat that Dad would stop and get us and the cigarette smoke swirling around. He would sing and so would we. We would fly down I5 to get to our destination and anticipate seeing the relatives.

Weird how all of that flashed through my mind as I listened to that song.

    Downtown, Oh Downtown.....

Birdie good to see ya, you darling chicken owl. Did you get pictures of the wild turkeys?
Bebbi maybe you'll win McDonald's monopoly game. If I had any of the pieces then I'd give them to you. Bebbi yesterday we went to dinner at Jason's Deli again. I had the build your own sandwich and the chicken pot pie soup again. For dessert I went to the salad bar and got a bowl and put strawberry shortcake in it and topped it with ice cream.
****Shirley**** if you get to drop in then know that I am thinking of you and your Mum!

  66. Good morning everyone: I started reading the blog and watching Meet the Press at the same time. Not a good idea.

SHIRLEY, I am sorry, but I don't know the history with your mom. I hope everything will be alright.

Thank you for today's blog CAROL. I love music, and it has always been a big part of my life. I can't tell you how many songs bring back so many memories. My most sentimental era is that of Motown in the late 50's.

I'll be back later. J/SLIN are you going to cook breakgast for us today?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Carol~~The second I clicked on the blog this morning and saw the title, I could hear every word of the song. (The vid/dancers just gave an extra 'cringe' factor to how long ago it was!)

While the song was never a favorite, the first notes invariably send me back to the Spring of '65...first arrival in the big city to preview/apply for acceptance at Seattle Pacific University...then returning home to finish high school and dream of what would become of me when I finally arrived to stay the next Autumn. That song is the ultimate Transporter/Time Machine for me. It'll stick with me all day. Wish I could share the 'yellow' of it with MEK.

    (more soon)

    ReplyDelete
  68. LaniABreakGAST? What were you hoping for, beans?

NoNewz Congrats on #1 today. Shoot, I've never done that and I doubt I ever will. :)

Carol Thanks for the blog and song today. Um, I would have been a senior in high school when this was filmed. I guess I could have babysat a lot of you.

Also, Carol, sometimes it helps to realize that even those things we do that we don't want to do, we do by CHOICE. Apparently, you do not like the consequences of what you think would happen if you did not take the folks to your aunt's house. Therefore, you choose to do it. Maybe you could drop them off and go shopping for a while. :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Lani I'm not sure how I got an "A" at the end of your name. Sorry. :(

    ReplyDelete
  70. ((Iteach))~~You & Dean are inspirational. So glad you have each other. Keep the faith!! Do you have a cute little French Maid outfit you wear around the house? I have visions of 'Sonny' chasing his 'Cher' from room to room as you run backwards, luring him with a feather-duster!

VIG~~Shirley's poppies and the Flanders Fields poem bring back such memories. My mom used to recite so many poems to me from memory--some silly, some touching, among them Flanders Fields (and another favorite, The Flag Goes By by Henry Holcomb Bennett. Love its 'marching' cadence...still gives me chills of patriotism.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Tink~~I think I've mentioned here before that my very first memory is of looking out the car window at post-WWII battleships mothballed at Tongue Point Naval Base entering Astoria Oregon. Part of that memory is then seeing veterans on almost every streetcorner before Veterans' Day, selling those little red poppies with the white streamer attached. EVERYONE wore one in their lapel.

Gosh, these posts and all the Sunday morning newstalk shows are really tugging on my sentimental 'great moments in history' heartstrings today. Better get moving!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Carol I remember playing this record as a kid. I may still have it here in my closet somewhere. I have two boxes of record and don't know what to do with them.

    Congrats on 1st No Newz!

Good morning/afternoon everyone. Thanks for the flowers and good thoughts regarding mum. My sister took her to the hospital early this morning. She had severe pain in her head and was sick to her stomach most of the night before telling my sister.

She has thyroid cancer (her thyroid was removed 27 years ago) that has now spread to the bone. It is in the bone above her left eye but an ex-ray this morning showed that it is also in the bone on the right side of her head now. It is very painful.

I am going back to the hospital in a little while. I believe they are keeping her overnight. Thanks for all the concern. ((HUGS))

    ReplyDelete
  73. Damnit! I don't even have time to read the comments this morning! We're late for the Palm Springs Pride Parade!

But... Carol... I've always loved Pet Clark and all her songs!

BTW, did you know that Jodi sings a (just) slightly different version of "Downtown"?

Yep. All she does is substitute an "h" for the "g" in the word "go" and emphasizes it slightly, like it was written in uppercase.

Amazing what that one teensy change does to the song! LOL!

    Have a Great Sunday, owls!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Bono...it is a wonderful poem. The one that I would say that the majority of Canadians, can recite at least part of. We of memorized it at school and we hear or read it every Remembrance Day. It is cool that it conjures up memories of your Mom. It does the same for me. My Mom used to recite it all the time. She had lost a brother in WWII so it had a special meaning for her. When she would recite it, I always knew she was thinking of him! I have never heard of The Flag Goes By...I am going to check it out!

    ReplyDelete
  75. For Bono...
    (Is this the one?)

    The Flag Goes By

    By Henry Holcomb Bennett

    HATS off!
    Along the street there comes
A blare of bugles, a ruffle of drums,
A flash of color beneath the sky:
    Hats off!
    The flag is passing by!

Blue and crimson and white it shines,
    Over the steel-tipped, ordered lines.
    Hats off!
    The colors before us fly;
But more than the flag is passing by.

Sea-fights and land-fights, grim and great,
Fought to make and to save the State:
    Weary marches and sinking ships;
    Cheers of victory on dying lips;

    Days of plenty and years of peace;
    March of a strong land’s swift increase;
    Equal justice, right and law,
    Stately honor and reverend awe;

Sign of a nation, great and strong
To ward her people from foreign wrong:
    Pride and glory and honor,—all
Live in the colors to stand or fall.

    Hats off!
    Along the street there comes
    A blare of bugles, a ruffle of drums;
And loyal hearts are beating high:
    Hats off!
    The flag is passing by!

  76. Shirley - Saying prayers and sending good wishes for your mom. I hope they have her pain under control. It is possible. Sometimes you have to demand it.

Bon'O - I get sentimental around Remembrance Day. That was my favourite day to visit mom at the lodge. They always had a man and his wife playing instruments and singing all the war songs, like "There will be Bluebirds Over, The White Cliffs of Dover". I would cry every time.

  87. Good evening,

Carol: I loved the song and dancing. That's a happy little ditty from so long ago.

No_Newz: Welcome to the nest, and congratulations on losing your 1st cherry. I've read some of your blogs when I was an Ant, and you write beautifully with so much humor. Kudos!.

birdee(is a chickenowl): Girlfriend, have you looked at yourself in a mirror standing all nekkid there and everything? It's no wonder the meter-readers in your neighborhood come out every other day.

Shirley: Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your Mum.
I hope she has a pain free night. Btw, love your poppy, and thanks for telling us it's orgin.

Vig: I love the poem you shared, The Flag Goes By. I think everyone should just stop and remember, as it puts everything into a proper perspective.

Waving a wing to everyone that has flown by today, and those yet to arrive.
I think I might need to start walking with bebbi and iteach, because I'm not too sure if this branch will hold my fatten body much longer.

I wanted to change from my Halloween costume and needed my stylist, Rachel Mo to help me. I see from her new avatar on MS whay she was so happy to do it for me. I guess next time, I better use Rachel Zoe because she also provides accessories and doesn't try to eat you.

p.s.....Mo, don't get any ideas about my legs, they're already spoken for.

p.p.s.....Did you at least get some homemade pie, Carol?

  88. Happy November everyone!
Music has always been a large part of my life. I have been singing since I was 5 yrs old. My whole family loves to sing.
So many songs stir different feelings. Right now I am watching Frankie Valli and the 4 Season. The "Stars on Ice" are having a tribute with his music today. It is awesome!
My fav. is "Can't Take My Eyes off You".

I will go back and catch up on the posts...

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'll be back later...maybe!

Carol told me to get that cat out of my ass because Halloween is over.

  90. Hey kids flying through

Shirley praying for you and your family.

I have just realized I have been stress eating for the last two weeks.

I will try to stay away from ronnie as I just can't control myself right now!

Oy I can't wait for Tuesday to be over.

Anyone got any left over Halloween candy?

I think I am going to go root around the owl fridge. Be back in a bit.

  91. CPGEM: Loved the video..love this song!! I remember listening to this on my old 'Swinger' radio..which I swung right through the window one sunny Saturday in 1967. I also like "Those Were the Days" and "Timothy" though the latter was a bit creepy.

    NONEWS: Congrats on FIRST!

ITEACH: Faith can move mountains..I'm still praying for you and your family..

CPGEM: Mr. Z was watching a Frankie Valli special on TV this afternoon...just made me think of you.. :)

  92. I got back from the hospital about two hours ago. Had to make a bunch of phone calls. Still have to update my brother. Wasn't able to get him yet, although I left a message.

They are keeping mum in over night at least. She is on a liquid diet. They have given her morphine and something else I can't spell...dielotin (that's how it sounds). Also graval for the nausea. She wasn't in any pain when we left. I'll be going back down in the morning.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes.

  97. Shirley, my thoughts and prayers are with you & your Mum. I have been out of the nest for a couple of days and missed your post on your Mum.

Our State Journal has a wonderful column writer named John Snyder. He wrote about his Mother today who had been in a car accident. It had caused her heart to be erratic. Her kidneys began to shut down. They almost called their priest. She was on life support. By some miracle she survived and was sent home. Here is what I read that gave me shivers..
"She (his Mother) had made an oblique reference to the fact that "something happened to her" "She said " I can't explain it..I went somewhere...I was somewhere else..somewhere not here...then I came back.
"I saw a light in her eyes that I had never seen before. She said, in a voice electrified by conviction, "If you have any doubts that there's something beyond this, forget them."

  98. Shirley I'm sending healing thoughts to your mum. (((HUGS))) to you.

  99. I want to know if it was one of you naughty owls that egged my house on Halloween. I didn't even realize it until today as I stayed in all day yesterday due to all the rain. It took me quite a while to clean that up. :(

  100. Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA lately. October through January is just insane for me every year. Enjoying most of life though. School, Girl Scouts, etc.

Congrats to no_newz (Lois) for being first today! Do I know you? Are you Lois Lane, by chance?

I had to recite "In Flanders Fields" in 8th grade and I didn't get it then. I just said the words. I've never forgotten it, and NOW I get it. AND I love it!

Best of luck to your friend iteach.

Good thoughts going out to Shirley's mom.

My MIL has been in the hospital for over 2 weeks now. Doing better but has a long way to go.

    I've missed all of you!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi Everybody! I walked 15,989 steps today! Shhooooeeyyyyyyyy...that was a lot of walking this weekend. My daughter came in from college and we walked to the Drugstore, Fresh Market and the convenience store. It was good to see her. We hung out yesterday too and went to the Mall and walked around.

Tomorrow is the end of my Shape Up the Nation competition. I have lost so much weight and walked so much, partly because of this, so I am sad to see it end. I still do other things but this really helped me to do a team at work. I hope the company does another one.

Donna: I have missed you. I am glad you get on every so often to check in. Good to see you tonight.

I still wanna know who HEF was, does anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thank you, Carol. It would be fun to write a post here some time.

Shirley, tons of prayers and love going out to you and Mom. I hope they get all of her pain under control.

Hi hartldo!! Yes, It's me, Lois Lane. We go way back don't we?! :) Nice to "see you" again.

LynnD, I have some Twizzlers up for grabs. I hear they really make mouths happy. I've also been hoarding the bite-sized Snickers, but they'll cost ya.

JustLin, was it eggshell paint? Or just your regular, run-of-the-mill egg? (I ain't fessin' up to nothin' 'til I know I hafta!)

Jodi, thanks for reading my blog. I'm so glad you liked it. Some say I am not their cup of tea. Whiskey maybe, but not tea. :D

Thank you RonnieGirl! I'm glad you liked my blog too. Okay, now to slow the growing ego head. LOL! :)

Go Bebbi!!! That is great! How do you feel? Any major changes?

  106. Zona, I bet it was the same show. You tell Mr. Zona he has good taste lol!

MO, I love "It's my Party", I sing it at Karaoke. That's one neat thing about having a Karaoke library of over 17,000 songs. I can sing anytime I feel like it, right in my own house. Just like a rock star lol!!

Birdee, Is your avatar having an identity crisis?

Carol, I love your big flirty eyes! Where are your lashes lol!

iteach~ I have been counting my blessings lately too. During our Karaoke gig this Friday night I found out friend of mine was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that day. It is in her lungs and brain. She had recently placed her husband in a nursing home because of dementia and Alzheimer. They are in their mid 60s! They should be enjoying their retirement! I thank my lucky stars every day for my health. I thank my owletts & myspacers for nagging me into getting my physical. I appreciate every minute of my life.

  118. Lois: I feel really good. I am glad that I can get up and move. I have been watching my diet really well and not eating after 6pm. I am hoping that my weight will go down more soon, but I can be patient, I know it takes time. I appreciate the 36 pounds I have lost so far. SO MUCH better to live with less weight. My knees would thank me but they are too tired from walking. ;)

  119. Just back from Borders & Trader Joe's. What was I thinking, going on Sunday?

Shirley~~Appreciate the update. Continued very best thoughts.

Lynn~~20 some Reese's Crispy Crunchy bars in the freezer with your name on them!

MaryMI~~WOW! Doesn't it just make you SO curious about that "somewhere not here"?

    Donna~~Missed ya!

Bebbi~~Keep up the good work. Now that the weather's changing, I've started a new 3-5 mile/day stationary bike resolution for November. So far, I'm 2 for 2!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Carol~~Can't thank you enough for the lovely "upscale, one-of-a-kind" toaster in honor of a "one-of-a-kind" costume~~~~LOL. However, you coulda thrown in a bag of bagels with MINE .....................since I WAS also HEF ;-)

Mellowing out to the new Boz Scaggs cd that came out this week. It's a bit TOO mellow, but perfect for a rainy, too-dark-too-early Sunday night.

  125. Carol, you crack me up! I just checked myspace. How sweet of you to give me something that matches absolutely nothing in my house lol!! I may be re-gifting for Christmas bwah ha ha !! Not really. I couldn't part with anything you give me. :+)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Bebbi that is great! My mom was 100 pounds over weight. She also stopped eating after 6, cut out all fast food and junk food, she drank 64 ounces of water every day, and walked her dog until she was tired of walking. It only took her a little over a year. She was over 60 yrs. old at the time, diabetic, had high blood pressure and her triglycerides (sp) through the roof, doc said she was a walking time bomb for a stroke. In one year all of her medical problems ceased by those simple changes. And I say simple as in really those are pretty simple things. Keeping up on them is the hard part. I'll be here should you ever need a cheerleader, I rock the shit out of pompoms!! :D

Carol, Carol, Carol... you'll get your own special message. Please wait for the beep...

    ReplyDelete
  127. Carol~~As blog administrator, I figured you already knew who HEF, or any imposter, would be...NO?

Mary/MI~~We could all redecorate to match our toasters, don't you think? I hear the 60's colors and styles are coming back yet again.

    ReplyDelete
  128. ...beeeep!

Okay, I came to gloat about being the big winner, and well, seems they had a buy one get 50 free on the one-of-a-kind rockin' toasters. So me, along with 50 of my closest nest mates have won. Congratulations to us all, and God bless us every one.

  130. Oh, by the way... does anyone else besides me think of that little cartoon chicken "I'm a Chicken Hawk" from the Foghorn Leghorn cartoon when they see birdee's new name?

    ReplyDelete
  131. Lois how much do you want for those mini snickers? I may just have to go all in!

Bono will be arriving later at your house to attack the freezer! LOL

Thank god Carol saw the beauty in my costume and sent the toaster. I think I have a loaf of cinnamon bread in the other freezer. If you don't hear from me in awhile I am busy scarfing down more food!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Thanks Lois! I am going to do this. I have to for my health. No diabetes or high blood pressure yet and I want to keep it that way.

I just got a call from my brother and my dad is in the hospital emergency room. He is feeling sick and dizzy.

  133. Sending up prayers fro your dad Bebbi!

LynnD, for you hmmm... how about a rockin' toaster? You wouldn't happen to have one up for trade would you?? Mine is only a two slicer rockin' toaster, and I really like a lot of toast. :P

  138. bebbi~ Just sent a speedy prayer for your Dad. I have a long prayer list tonight! I may not always acknowledge someone in need of prayers here in the nest, but I never leave them out of my prayer list.

Carol, I wonder if they have matching microwaves?

  143. Carol: So could you have known who the Pillsbury Doughboy was too?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Bebbi:
No, I did click on Pdoughboy, but you made a profile just for Pdoughboy, so your (Bebbi) profile did not come up... as you were signed in as PDoughboy...

That is why I thought it was funny, as I clicked on PDoughboy, but never thought on clicking on Hef...

    ReplyDelete
  145. I am off to watch my shows... See ya all later...

    ReplyDelete
  146. Bebbi/Carol~~I thought of creating a new profile for HEF but was WAY too lazy. I did, while I was 'playing' HEF, just edit my profile to be invisible other than just the name. I figured that would hide it temporarily if anyone checked it OTHER THAN the blog administrator. But figured the Nestmeister/mistress knew all along.

  147. Bon'o, Hef was a great one. :)

Carol, that is funny. I would have probably done the same thing.

Well, I think I missed Desperate housewives.. going to go see if Brothers & Sisters is new tonight.

Lani, my fave songs are from the late 50s too.

  151. I need a little help here.
For the past hour I have been trying to post onto myspace, the blog that Tina wrote about Tango and Tia. I have tried over and over again. I copied Tina's blog and pasted it into the body of my blog. When I click 'post' all I get is the title and my mood. I tried copying and pasting it onto mail and also onto apple works. The same thing happens. It says "Click here" if you can't input your blog but that doesn't help. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong please message me. I will get it tomorrow. I am off to bed. It's getting cold down here.

Good Night everyone. Hugs to all who need them. Love, Tinka

    ReplyDelete
  152. I think I have talked more in the last few hours than I have in the last six months. I thought the phone was going to be permanently attatched to my ear. Anyway it's been an exausting day and I'm going to bed. Thanks again for the well wishes for my mum.

Carol thanks so much for the toaster. Nothing in my kitchen matches so it will be fit in perfectly.

Next time we all do a costume change I think we should be pigs. The smokers could come as smoked hams. HA!HA! That was my lame attempt at humor tonight.

    Good night everyone.

  153. Shirley,,,groan lol!!
Goodnight to you and Tinka Z-Z-Z-Z

  155. Great blog Carol~ I just got home from ...... downtown~ Went to church there~ I love that song by Ms Clark~ So catchy...and such a good year~ :)~

    Lois~ congrats on first...please write us a blog or two....or three~ :D

Funniest thing...I was talking to Dianne who was driving home with hubby...she excitedly told me that she thinks she won the toaster! She has limited access to myspace on her blackberry, so she wasn't sure. I laughed so hard! You see, right before I left for church, I read my emails real quick and one said I had a comment from Carol....something about a toaster. On my way to church, I realized she was sending it to all of us~ So when Dianne really thought she won, I couldn't control my laughter~ She's going to kill me for telling....but dang...it was too good a story to pass up~ :)~

Shirley~ Prayers for you and your mum~

    Zona~ haven't even seen lap 1 yet~:(

    Jodi~ I refuse to say if I received your text~ >:|

Tinka~ I don't know how to fix your problem....but do you want me to send it to you in a word document?

    ReplyDelete
  156. TINA: You are right...I am going to kill you for telling that story. I was so excited when I was able to read a tiny piece of myspace at my son's house. They thought I was crazy and then I "had" to tell Tina...damn!

ZONA: MrZ gave the perfect description of the Bronco game today!! I am about to change teams BUT NOT TO THE RAIDERS!

SHIRLEY: Sending postive thoughts to you and your mom and family tonight...get some sleep. Thinking of you.

My husband and I babysat our three boy grandchildren so my son and DIL could go to the game and lunch. The boys were good but 7 hours with a 3, 6 and 8 year is tiring!! They are very busy little guys.

BEBBI: Glad your dad is doing okay.

    ReplyDelete
  157. lol Dianne~ but you really did sound cute and all excited~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  158. TINA: That's the "sad" part...I was!! :)
