A wish from you to me~

in times of confusion i find myself focusing on the worst of the disarray, so much that it consumes me, instead of trying to reason it out and take one muddle at a time, my focus stays put.

that is until something comes my way, and i am jolted out of the muddle by one simple yet profound blessing.

when this blog started it was truly and wholeheartedly to keep us all together, as we were misplaced and needed a home, friendships had started, a camaraderie had begun, a new journey was ahead, and I was more then happy to be there and watch it grow

and in my confusion i will be the first to admit i forgot that, i wondered if this is to be, as at times anger takes center stage, and i for one don't want front row seats.

i am old enough and smart enough to know not all will like me, as i can't please all, and if one does not like me, that is really ok, fore the world revolves around likes and dislikes. what i most try to do is keep peace, so the journey will continue, and the friendships prosper.

my blessing came in the mail, a christmas card from Bon, an unexpected delight, when i opened it and read the front cover i had to stop and read it again, on the second read, the confusion cleared, and the yellow appeared.

it truly was very simply stated, and it was bought for me, i then imagined her in the store looking for a card that would suit me, which i know can be a daunting task, she must have took her time, because right in front me in the form of a card was a Christmas Wish for me, with words that formed my name. So simply, So profound. I love words then can mean so much, especially when one can't touch.

and it reads

My Christmas Wishes for you:

May every day of your life bring you sweet smiles, kind words and warm hugs.

May you realize how important you are in the lives of all who know you and care about you.

May you take time each day to see the beauty and joy that's all around you..

inside

And may you always know the love of friends and family who mean the most to you.

Merry Christmas!

I am done with confusion
cause i am me
for I now have a Christmas Wish
a blessing so true
and with these wishes
the sun shines through
as I so believe in wishes
and I know you do to

Thank you ~Bon~

Great Blog Carol- but the real gift you got wasn't the Christmas wish- it was Bon Bon. :)

I got some wonderful cards myself from some great owls- although when I opened one I was a tad disappointed the potato salad didn't fall out..... LOL

Hope everyone has a great day today. Colder than a witches tit. Have to go to a Holiday open house at noon and stuff my face then we are going to go put on our long undies and go pick get our Christmas tree.

The pic is me when I was 5. I was standing with my dad and all my sisters. One of my sisters was using my head as an armrest which is why I look so angry. :D

Thanks for reminding me I need to update my blog. HAhahaha!

  15. Good morning NoNewz, Shirley, Jodi, LynnD, Joey, Goldie and MEK and all you land after me.

NoNewz Congrats on first! I love the look on your 5 year old face. Too cute!

Shirley What a darling little snowman. I love seeing the different ones you come up with every day.

Jodi HO HO HO Enough said.. LOL

LynnD I so admire your spirit of giving all year round.

Joey So glad you are back. We missed you.

Goldie It sounds like you have very nice day planned. Good luck finding the perfect tree. My daughter and her SO will help me do that tomorrow.

MEK You are a very special Night Owl, indeed.

BonO You are such a special lady. Thank you for reminded Carol just how special she is and how special this place is that she created for us.

Carol You are our yellow, always. xoxo

  17. Good Morning to NN/LL, SHIRLEY, HODI, LYNN, JOEY, GOLDIE, & MEK, and ALL who fly in later.

I doesn't surprise me to hear that BON found the perfect card for CAROL. How great that a few chosen words from the heart can brighten up one's day.

I have enjoyed and appreciated all of you. Thank you for your warm welcome when I joined the NEST.

JOEY, I am a friend of J/L aka SLIN.

  18. Good Morning All OWLS.

Lois - Good Morning and congrats on first

Good Morning Shirley, Jodi, Lynn, Joey, Goldie, Mek and Just Lin.

What a lovely blog Carol and what a sweet poem you received from Bonnie. I know I certainly appreciate you. You gave us such a great home in cyberspace. It added a lot to your work load and it hasn't always be easy. I love you for it.

Bonnie - I am going to frame the gorgeous picture of Elvis you sent me. It will be on my wall forever. Thank you so much.

Jodi - Thank you for the phone call that made me feel so much better. You are very kind to take the time to do that.

We are expecting a cold spell for the next week. I always thought the only reason I would ever consider another husband was to 'do up' my necklaces. Then Dianne sent me a "magic clasp" and there was no longer any reason. Now I have discovered a second reason and that is to have someone keep the fires burning by bringing in the wood. I just can't do it so I guess I will have to resort to using the oil furnace. I must be thankful for what I have and not regret what I can't do. That's my mantra for the day. Have a good one, Everybody.

  19. Hi there, HooterPals! This weather-wimp has missed you while taking a couple days to batten down the hatches for winter's initial blast. Now,first things first!

Area 51: Tina~~A well-written tribute to angel Alex. I'm sure his family appreciates you and the Mr. for being such a part of the 'village' that got him through the tough years. Kudos.

Area 52: EBJ~~What vast mysteries are out there! I have no clue what the grand scheme of the universes may be, but I can't help but think we are not the masterwork.

    ReplyDelete
  20. To those of you who mentioned me in relation to the card to Carol, thanks much but I had NOTHING to do with it, really. I love searching for cards which make me think of the recipient. In this case, CAROL literally jumped out of the card as I read it. All I did was tuck her back in and send her back 'home', as a small token of appreciation for a year of 'nesting' with you all.

    ReplyDelete
  21. btw, Carol~~Gosh, I hope it's clear to all who read today's blog that the very poetic words after the card are yours, not mine. More poems please!

    ReplyDelete
  22. NN/LL: Grats on 1st~~Now, get to bloggin'!!

Shirley: How's the weather in the far north today?

Jodi: You (freakin') ALWAYS make me smile :-)

LynnD: Two words for you...bathroom curtains! Luv YA!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Joey: I am SO glad you're back with us. Don't you ever abandon us again! "Y'all" need to post more often, you've been missed.

Goldie: Gosh I miss those long-john trips for the perfect tree. It's just not the same removing it from a huge red and green tote in the garage. Did you bring us pics of the adventure?

MEK: Must be about lunchtime at your house. Are you at McDonalds?
We just got our first Sonic. Haven't been yet. Anything good, guys?

    ReplyDelete
  24. J/L and Lani: Can I come park my bare feet under your table (and maybe a cat) and work a puzzle tonight? I'm pooped from all this winter-prep, and ready to party!

Tinka: :-) My major to-do for today is to bring in enough wood for the weekend. I agree, that's one time when I abandon my motto about wanting a man in my life but not in my house!

OK, enough already with my posts! Just had to catch up on 2-3 days absence. Time to run. See ya tonight?

  25. Happy Friday Owls.

Carol, thanks for sharing your card from Bon. It says everything and is perfect for you.

Bon, Thanks for the Owlidays card and the nice sentiment you wrote. I love it.

I am rushing out to work at Christmas Promise and will be back late. Waving wildly at NN/LL, Shirley, Jodi, Lynn, Goldie (good luck tree hunting), MEK (do you know all the people at McD's yet?), Tinka ((Hugs)), Joey Zona (are you up?) and all who land later.

    ReplyDelete
  26. GOLDIE - You'll get yours on the 23rd!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Good afternoon Lynn D, Jodi, Joey, Goldie, Mek, Just Lin , Lani, Tinka, Bonnie and Sacbarb.

Is there no one in your neighborhood that could bring some wood in for you?

Bonnie the weather here is depressing. It has been windy and raining for 3 straight days. It's about 50 degrees and within a half hour it will be dark here. The northern part of Nova Scotia got some freezing rain and I think New Brunswick got the snow. Tomorrow it is suppose to be freezing again.

I mailed the last of my cards today. I bought four gift cards for my mother and siblings and have distributed them so I am all done. Ready to hibernate until after Jan.3rd.

My brother told me yesterday I have to put a tree up. I told him no one comes here and I really didn't want to. He said he was coming on Christmas day and I had better have a tree up. If I put it up but don't decorate it would that count?

    ReplyDelete
  28. BonO You'd be welcomed at the table any time. You might have to help me decorate for the holidays first, though, as I have done nothing, yet, except get a wreath on the door!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Shirley Um, no! When my kids were little, I would take the time to string popcorn together to make a garland for the tree. I really like the old-fashioned look. I still put candy canes on it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. A quick fly-bye...I FINALLY have internet....Apparently it went down due to the storm...If it was out much longer I think I would have needed therapy!! Hello to everyone, Hope all is well in Owl land....Will try and catch up on comments later

    ReplyDelete
  31. As if the rain wasn't enough, we are now getting thunder and lightening. What month is it?

    ReplyDelete
  32. SLIN, I see someone is still on her computer. Getting a lot done?

GOLDIE, I love your Santa Dog. I am picturing you with your long johns and witches tits at the tree lot.

NN/LL, Smart move to use your 5 yr old picture. Wish I would have done that on ms.

SHIRLEY: Decorate the tree and enjoy it with your brother.

LYNN, What would all the people you help do with out you.

Bon, Come on down in the morning and you and SLIN & I could work the puzzle in our snap-fronts.

MEK, Enjoy your burger of the day with special sauce.

TINK, I wish I lived in Victoria so I could help you with your wood.

SCIRISH, I know what you mean about OWL withdrawals when the Internet is down.

SACBARB, How is the weather up your way? It is supposed to rain here this weekend. What is with California and no rain.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lani - I wish you lived in Victoria too. I would love to meet with you. How about a visit?

Bon'0 - I am glad you agree with me about bringing in the wood. I wonder if they make robots that do that sort of thing.

Shirley - I rarely see my neighbours in the winter. The one neighbour who is my friend, works long hours and so does his wife. My grandson will bring me in lots of wood tomorrow when he is off school. It isn't just the bringing in, it's also the bending down, opening the stove and placing the logs on the fire. That is something one doesn't think about until one can't bend without severe pain. I am not complaining. I have a good oil furnace and thank God I can afford to run it. The high price annoys me however and I miss the 'feel' of warmth from a wood stove. The people I feel sorry for are the ones who are homeless and living under the bridges. A lot of homeless come to the West Coast because of our mild weather. When the temperature drops, they suffer. At the moment the city is trying to find shelters for these hundreds of homeless. Most of them have dogs too. I wonder how cold they get.

  36. Oh, yippee...off to gross-ry shop in the rain (now) before the 40-57mph wind gusts (later today) and the 2-6" of snow in the weekend forecast. Anyone want to come help bake cookies? Bring a good book!

**PSA**Don't forget~~Your mail carrier, like mine, may be gathering food for the hungry tomorrow. God knows many families are hungry. Nalleys Chili is on special at my store. Think I'll snag an extra case and some PB. Protein is always welcomed!

    or maybe red gloves.. :O)

    ReplyDelete

  49. I think I have a plantar's wart, is that how you spell it? The bottom of my foot on the ball to the left by my pinky, is a small discolorment and it hurts to the touch. It has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. I made a appt to see my doctor on Monday..

Does anyone know about plantar's warts?

If is a plantar's wart, I probably got it from getting pedicures..

Which totally sucks and will totally gross me out...

Never ever had any such thing...

    There is always something

  53. Carol, ring worm, grosses me out.

Every year I find it on a student and then I run to the hand sanitizer.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh my, iteach, you really think its ring worm? I want to puke..

    ReplyDelete
  55. No , it is not ring worm, I'm just saying ring worm grosses me out compared to warts.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Lice is another one that freaks me out.

I have the school nurse check my hair all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Iteach, warts are kinda grossy to..

    I still want to puke..

So glad you don't think its ring worm tho..

    ReplyDelete
  58. I was just thinking about lice, that would freak me out to..

    ReplyDelete
  59. Why the heck is it called ring worm anyway, does the worm have ring around it?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have student with MRSA right now. He is pussing all over the place it is gross, I get on him each time he takes his band-aid off.

    ReplyDelete
  61. No worm, just fungus.

However, it is shaped just like a ring and it is raised.

    ReplyDelete
  62. You guys are cracking me up! None of these things are the end of the world, although lice really is a pain to deal with.

Carol Plantar's warts look similar to a corn. They do hurt when pressure is applied to them. They make topical medication just for them and it clears it up but may take a little time.

iteach Ringworm is just a fungal thing and can be cleared up with over the counter anti-fungal medication like what you would use for Athlete's Foot.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sorry, iteach, I see you already know ringworm is fungal.

I have to go to work for a little while.

    BBL

    ReplyDelete
  64. J/L

Even though, I know the difference, I still invision a little worm inside. I wish it could have a different name.

Okay, Barney is over, time to cook.

  65. Hi all, congrats on first Lois!

Tink, I miss you. Sorry to hear you can't move the wood around very easily right now. Will your back get better over time? Did you go to the doctor?

I had a good day. I walked at lunch but need to go out again and walk some more. I have to do Christmas cards and stuff this weekend.

    Take care all and bbl!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I did not leave yet...

    J/L...
Still freaks me out in a totally gross kinda way...
And yes it looks like a corn, so I really think that is what it is, and yes as I said before when I walk or press on it, it hurts...

    ReplyDelete
  67. LMAO - I come back and you guys are talking about some pretty gross things!!! Nice dinner conversation - good thing I worked in the medical field for so long that it doesn't bother me!!

cpgem - we don't have a SONIC in our little town - but LOVE them!! It's like the old R&W Root Beer stands!!

waving howdy to you, Iteach, Just Lin and Bebbi (think those are the three that landed since my last shout out)

  68. Whabby - the paper said that Tonight's FULL MOON will be one the brightest and fullest ever!!

Thank you for giving me a GOOD laugh this afternoon!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. okay - I'm going to go heat up some left overs for dinner!!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well I am finally home and my fingers are as black as my tiny heart! I am covered with permanent marker. I think I priced over 2000 items today. I am also cross eyed and can't straighten my back out! Pretty picture huh?

I also bought 3 things. What the hell is it about rummage sales that I can't leave one without something?

Scrishy I got some beautiful antique pressed glass candle holders they hold dual candles for 10 bucks! Not a chip on them anywhere! Also a Halls magnolia platter for $2.00 and some vintage plug in electric window candles.

I paid more when the gals weren't looking! Hey it's for the kids.

I also wonder why at every rummage or garage sale the same damn platic bowls show up? I think people buy them just to pass to the next rummage sale! It is like the mystery of missing socks after they are washed and dried. One is always missing.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Carol I would guess you have a corn just by the placement. I have had planters warts and usually get them on the soles of the feet. I had them bad when I was a kid and then when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. Not just one, clusters of them. I won't tell you what I went through to get those suckers removed.

Try over the counter corn medication first and see if that works. Corns are usually from your shoes being a bit tight and rubbing.

Ok I need to lay down for a bit and give my hump a rest.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Bebbi - Thanks for missing me. I have arthritis in my back but last Saturday I slipped and fell on the stairs. That wrenched my back. I just have to be patient. It will calm down. It is such a busy time of year it is hard to have a completely restful day. I do a little then ice my back for ten minutes. That's why I am not on the computer. I use my active minutes to do something that needs to be done for Christmas. There aren't many more sleeps until Christmas morning.

    ReplyDelete
  73. The wind is starting to blow hard and the rain is turning to snow. Driving could soon be very treacherous if the wet roads suddenly turn to ice. I hope all the guardian angels are on duty tonight.

  74. That's it for me today. Have fun little Santa Owls. Good Night.
God Bless and Keep Us Safe.

  75. Survived grocering and now the white bean/ground chicken chili is getting 'crocked'! Yummmm, perfect for a blustery night....chili, that is. Not the getting crocked part, although....

Carol~~Don't forget to buy another purse ;~)

    Just missed you, Tink...stay warm!

MEK~~Luv the McD pics (lol). So, what do I want to order when I go to S-O-N-I-C?

Bear, Bebbi~~Grab a branch and stay a while.

    Iteach~~How'd the cake turn out?

LynnD~~lol. Do you ever go to a garage/rummage sale that doesn't have at least one of the ceramic pitcher/wash bowl combos?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Bon'O: OK!

MEK: Yep! Two factors are at work to make this full moon unusually bright:

    1. The Moon is at perigee, the closest it comes to earth in its orbit (which is not a prefect circle, but an ellipse).

    2. The moon is opposite the Sun in the zodiac, which it always is when it is full. The Sun is in Saggitarius this time of year. That means the Moon is in Gemini. And yep... Gemini is the zodiacial constellation that rises highest above the southern horizon. That means that the moon will trace a path tonight that brings it as close to directly overhead as it ever gets.

Result: Less "atmospheric extinction" of the Moon's light, especially around midnight when it is at its highest point!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Lois: I love it when people are laughing their ass off. I love it even more when they are laughing their fucking ass off!

    LMFAO!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Bonnie,

I had a lot of nice compliments on the cake and a few asked for the receipe.

However, I did think it had too much carmel. I will cut back on it next time.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Carol,

Corns sound better then warts. So let's hope for a corn on your foot.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Bummer. Don't think we'll get to see the moon tonight. We'll be lucky to see across the street through windblown rain/snow!

    Iteach~~Glad it was a hit!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I thought last night's moon was gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  82. iteach Since Carol said it was on the ball of her foot, I'm betting on Plantar wart.

Bear I noticed last night, how unusually bright the moon seemed. Gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  83. With a perfectly fine but artificial pre-lit tree, I was already 'pine'ing for a more old fashioned Christmas. Today, I got 3 videos from 8-year old g'daughter's school 'winter' musical last night. NO holiday music allowed.

Then I got the Christmas 'everything our family did all year' letter from a distant friend, complete with photos....in an email. That was a first for me!

  85. Congrats on first, Lois!

Carol, what a perfect card for you! Bon just has a way of doing what's good and right all the time.

Carol, my hubby and son have had plantar warts. Try some over-the-counter stuff but often you have to go to the doctor to get rid of them, and even then it can be a long and hard task. You should try to take care of it before it shoots off babies. (First you get the mother wart and then you get clusters of little ones.) And, they can be painful! Ouch.

Bon'O, we have a Sonic on every corner here in GA! And, my kids will tell you everything on the menu is good! We often go on Tuesdays when they have five hamburgers for $5.95. And their burgers are pretty big. Yummy!

Shirley, I love your little snowman!

Tinka! So glad to see you here today. I hope that means you're better! You're still the same sweet Tinka--I think I would be whining if it were me!

I hope everyone has a nice Friday evening.

    It sounds yummy!

  88. What type of intervention would Carol would need , if they are planater warts.

I'm starting to think maybe we should name this wart.

  89. WARNING, THE FOLLOWING POST MAY BE A DEPENDS MOMENT!

    Italian Night Before Christmas

    Twas the night before Christmas,
    Da whole house was mella,
    Not a creature was stirrin',
Cuz I had a gun unda da pilla.

    When up on da roof
    I heard somethin' pound,
    I sprung to da window,
To scream, "YO! Keep it down!"

    When what to my
    Wanderin' eyes should appear,
But da Don of all elfs,
    And eight friggin' reindeer!

    Wit' slicked back black hair,
    And a silk red suit,
    don Christopher wuz here,
    And he brought da loot!

Wit' a slap to dare snouts,
And a yank on dare manes,
    He cursed and he shouted,
And he called dem by name.

    "Yo Tony, Yo Frankie,
    Yo Vinny, Yo Vito,
    Ay Joey, Ay Paulie,
    Ay Pepe, Ay Guido!"

As I drew out my gun
    And hid by da bed,
    He flew troo da winda
And slapped me 'side da head.

    "What da heck you doin'
Pullin' a gun on da Don?
Now all you're gettin' is coal,
    You friggin' moron!"

    Den pointin' a fat finga
    Right unda my nose,
    He twisted his pinky ring,
And up da chimney he rose.

    He sprang to his sleigh,
    Obscenities screamin',
    Away dey all flew,
Before he troo dem a beatin'.

Den I heard him yell out,
    What I did least expect,
    "Merry Friggin' Christmas to all,
And yous better show some respect!"

  90. Hi Mary!!

iteach, you would enjoy Sonic. You pull your car in next to a menu board and push the button when you're ready to order. You order right there from your car and the Sonic person brings it out to your car on roller skates.

We're going to name Carol's wart?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Shirley:
Were you at my house last Christmas Eve?

    LOL....

    ReplyDelete
  92. Shirley, LOL!! I just bought my hubby a book called Redneck Night before Christmas. I should post it, too.

  93. Sandie:

  94. Sandie, I really think I would love Sonics now.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Well, come on down, iteach! I'll treat you to Sonic! ;)

  97. Shirley, no wonder those kids love you!

    ReplyDelete
  98. You are all cracking me up!
I'm picturing Carols wart at a warts convention with a name tag that says "I'm Carols wart" lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. MaryMI~~Glad you liked the cards. Loved Barb's! I had to joke back to her, saying "Hey, I went on that ride at Disneyland, too!" I'd love to see the sights of Bavaria in person some day, and the 'real' Matterhorn, but almost felt like I had been there looking at her hundreds of beautiful photos last fall.

Sandie~~HI!!! Any poodles floating past the window tonight?
Your comment is embarassingly SO NOT TRUE, but thank you for the Sonic tip, anyway! I'm just glad it's across town, as I'm surrounded already by McD's, Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, Wendy's, Subway,Arby's, KFC, BurritoBoy, Taco Time, BBQ joints, etc. BUT, I honestly don't remember the last time I did fast food. I was tempted by the food court at the mall a couple days ago, but resisted.

    We're naming warts now?

Shirley, Shirley....how do you write "LOL, LOL" backwards?? Yep, I'm blonde.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bon, it FINALLY stopped raining this morning. We got four inches of rain in two days! Got rid of our deficit for this year, though!

Yes, I think we are naming Carol's wart--if she so desires. Maybe we should have a "name Carol's wart" contest!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Shirley, I'm printing them for my class.

    Especially Ian.

He is a brillant boy and he is an excellent reader.

However, he thinks reading is boring.

I finally found something he loves to read and that is jokes.

So I think he will really like yours.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Carol, do you think of your wart as a female or male?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Popping in before I hit the heating pad.

Carol I thought you said it was on your toe. That's what I get for reading to fast. I agree if it is on the ball of your foot, more than likely it is a wart (I suggest Wartina for a name) LMAO. You can try over the counter but really the best way I have found is to have the doctor freeze them. Yes you do not want the babies! That is what happened when I was pregnant and it was a nightmare!

Bon no pitchers and bowls sets at this one. Tho the George Forman Grills are making the rounds! Thank your for the Owlie card!

Mary I do the same thing at charity sales! If I have extra they get it.

I am just pooped and my eyes are blurry!

Shirly your jokes are cracking me up!

    Waving a wing at everyone!

Whabby could this moon be the reason that some of our Senators have gone ape shit crazy? I always abscribe to full moon crazy theory and with it so close.....well I'm just sayin.

    OK heating pad awaits!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Glad you all liked the jokes!

Iteach I think your class will like them too. Let me know.

The "Italian Night Before Christmas" was funny. I thought of Carol and her family first then when I saw the name Guido I thought of Sacbarb and knew I had to post it here. Lol!

I think I am going to call it a night. I have to make three batches or peanut brittle for someone tomorrow. I have put it off all week. Good night!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Mary: Lame, yes, but I like it too!

    :)

J/L: I can't see the moon very well... high clouds are moving in! :(

    Shirley: Re: Tomorrow's blog: Wink!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Bear~~I can see it now from my living room! No detail though, major white halo effect.

    ReplyDelete
  107. iteach:
Well, I think its a girl because
according to Sandie it has babies, and LynnD just name it Wartina!

    So yes, def a girl...

I can't believe my plantar's wart has a name.. and I am going to a wart convention with her, as per Mary. I sure hope the convention is in Las Vegas...

    LOL...

    ReplyDelete
  108. Lynnd:
So you had your babies, and your wart has babies too? Wow that must have been a hell of a celebration, I hope you did not have to breast feed them all..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  109. I am heading to bed... I have a long day tomorrow...

Hope all has a good nite...

    Maybe second cousins?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Goodnight Carol, your the best!

    Peanut brittle!! I'm there!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. I've had two plantar warts before but they never had "babies", thank goodness. I didn't know plantar warts spread like that.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I'm off to bed. Family get-to-gether tomorrow' Its about a 90 minute drive to the north and the weather is looking a little shaky, so we will have to leave early. I am not a morning girl!
Have a good week end all.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Whabby - after our weatherman made such a HUGE deal about the moon - he teased us that we would NOT be able to see it, cuz of the clouds -and they still haven't cleared.

    oh well.........

bono - you can't go wrong with anything at

    S O N I C!!!

    I am off to bed..
Hope everyone has an excellent Saturday!!

  115. Bon'o, wish I could have stayed for a bit, but the Christmas cards are DONE now..and I am so glad. :)

Now, take them to the post office tomorrow then work on setting up the tree!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Good night and sweet dreams everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Tink: Very true, not many more sleeps till Christmas morning. I hope the back get a chance to get better. Glad to see you on a little more anyway..you went MIA on us for a bit there, it must have been a pretty wrenched back!

I hate to hear that you can't burn your wood because of it too. That would drive me crazy, i would have to be concocting some sort of levy system, wagons, or whatever to do it. Probably would hurt myself worse with the crazy ideas on how to get the wood in the fire!

Take care, good night..I am Christmas Card Loopy. Sweet dreams everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hello everyone. I'm back from Christmas Promise. We were very busy tonight. A big group (15) of firemen came in to wrap gifts and they were a hoot. They had all kinds of remarks about the "Ho Ho Ho" wrapping paper. We laughed the whole time they were there.

I am really tired (not used to working) so I am going to bed. Sleep well everyone and sweet dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Shirley, I loved the Italian Night Before Christmas. It brought tears to my eyes. LOL

Lani, It has been cold (for CA) here and we expect rain tomorrow.

OK, I'm really going to bed now.
