~I’m bringing Sexy Back~

Chosen by Tina~in_ut

I love watching Justin Timberlake move! The song is catchy and I love dancing to it, but there is nothing like watching Justin move. That boy can dance! I taped his concert at Madison Square Garden on HBO just to watch him sing Sexyback. I think it’s better than watching his video~ The boy is hot!

  43. I just txted two of my nephews to see if they wanted to go for breakfast.. No reply, so I would say they had a few to many last nite and are sleeping soundly...

My SIL is at the inauguration in DC, her SSO has a very high profile job and was invited, so she went along, they had a limo drive them yesterday, DC is about 4hrs from here. I think she is coming home Wednesday. She was very excited.. Well actually a little stressed as well, as she had to buy a some dresses clothes for the balls..

I just spoke to her, DC did not get any snow, but its cold.. She took her camera, so hopefully she will take some pics...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Dang it Jodi! I didn't win the powerball eiher. I was counting on you.

No Zona and Jodi- my problem isn't any clearer. Here's the jist of it:

Sister-in-law and her DIL not really getting along. DIL wrote a blog on myspace about her that was awful. Called her names, including a drunk and a psycho. Not true.
Hatefull, and very loose with the facts- and some things just not true at all. Some things close to the truth.

My DIL sees this and she and my son debate about sending to me. They finally do, and they are upset about it. I am now shell-shocked. I know how my SIL feels about this girl, and I don't know what to do. They are not close, and things have deteriorated since she married her son last year. Now they have a baby.

The DIL and her son are leaving for overseas for several years (armed forces) so they will be stopping at home for one last time in a few weeks. Mr. Goldie, I and my son and DIl have decided not to share this with my SIL until after they leave. My husband says that I have to tell her because if she finds out I knew this she will never forgive me. We have been the closest of friends as well as SIL's for 25 years. OY

I decided that I am going to let play out what happens between the when they are all home for those 2 weeks. I can no way be responsible for her not seeing her Granddaughter by stirring the pot. The DIL is already threatening to keep the baby away and my nephew has not figured out the way to handle both the STRONG women in his life. I believe that they are staying at her mother's house again and just visiting my SIL- which she is threatening not to do.

I do not want to put a stake thru my SIL's heart. She did a world of things for this girl before the wedding. Let her live with them for 2 months, gave her a wonderful shower and wedding- lots of things. But it has gone down hill.
The believe if that the DIL got everything she wanted and then turned.

Sorry this is so long- but I didn't sleep all night!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh, and Jodi? You met all the players on this!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. GOLDIE...my heart goes out to you. So hard to keep that in and not wanting to hurt your SIL. I know that you will decide to do the right thing. {{hugs}} dear one

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks Mo- I just want to slap this girl silly! It might not be easy to get along with your MIL but to put out a blog like she did was crazy. I would love to call my nephew and rip him a new asshole too about this- but he tells her everything and again, I would just be starting trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Good morning!

Tina, AWESOME song! JT is soooooo SEXAY!! There is another song of his I like, I can't think of it right now (got up a while ago and just started with coffee). Still in the fog!

We are having unusual warm weather too, MR. EBJ was wearing shorts yesterday. We would prefer to get some rain.

Goldie, sorry for your family problems. I need to re-read your post before I can comment.

Mo thank you for the food this AM!

Zona thank you for the Tinka update. I hope she is back soon, too.

    Congrats on 1st Scrish!

  58. Goldie....Does your Nephew know about this blog? If not, maybe someone should send it to him?? Regardless of the difficulty he has handling them both, I would hope that he would be shocked about his wife saying such things about his Mother. Also, if they are leaving for two years, wouldn't this be the last chance (so to speak) of clearing the air and resolving this if at all possible??

I don't know the players in all this, but if I were your SIL, I think I would want to know so that I could decide whether or not to take the DIL aside and discuss whatever the problem might be or ignore it.

Again, you know best....just my two cents...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Goldie,
That is surly a dilemma, I would be so torn as well, and very upset that she would post a blog on ms about your SIL. If you tell your nephew he will probably tell his wife and yes that would start more trouble. I think I would do the same wait till they visit, and then tell your SIL, for if she finds out you know and did not tell her she will probably be upset. I am feeling for you, cause I know how hard this for you. Hang in there, and whatever decision you make, and I completely sure it will be the right one..

    Many smiles coming your way...

  67. Hi and congrats on first, Scirish! We just have wet, clear stuff falling from the sky.

Tina, can't help but love Justin! Thanks for the video! My oldest nephew resembles Justin--he used to get stopped all the time when he was younger. Now that he's older, not so much, but I still think he looks like him. There's a picture of him on myspace--my oldest nephew.

Hi Jodi, Mo (thanks for the yummy breakfast), Goldie, Zona, Carol, IBB and EBJ!

Thanks so much for the Anniversary wishes yesterday Goldie, Carol, Jax, Mo, J/L, Donna and Tina! And, thanks for all the lovely myspace wishes, too, everyone!

Tina, I know you don't want the details but too bad. Here they are: We went to dinner, came home and watched the Dark Knight, where Mr. Sandie fell fast asleep. The End. I knew we shouldn't have watched such a long movie!! LOL

Goldie, I'm so sorry you're in the midst of all that. I have mixed feelings because I agree that you want to spare your SIL's feelings but at the same time, what if this is the last face-to-face time they have to work it out for two years? And, I think it does need to be worked out face-to-face. I don't know what I'd do.

I'm off to the gym again. Have a good day!

Shirley I'm glad to see you. Was it the smell of bacon that brought you out?

MO Thank you for the wonderful breakfast spread.

Jodi Glazer donuts and chocolate milk? Yummo!

Goldie I wish I had some words of wisdom but I don't. How old is your SIL's DIL? 12? Unbelievably immature and stupid, frankly. I have a feeling it would be best if your SIL didn't get too attached to her granddaughter because I think the DIL is just a selfish trouble-maker and I doubt the marriage will last long. She'll find someone else that she thinks can give her more. She'll be the type to cause all sorts of problems about visitation with the child. IMHO. Do I sound jaded and cynical?

Bebbi I've seen JT in two movies and , yes, he can definitely act.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Goldie, I have re-read your post, and I feel terrible for you.

The DIL does sound incredibly immature, ungrateful and selfish, and it is pretty surprising that your nephew would tolerate that kind of treatment toward his mother.

Is he not aware of what his wife says or does?

He must prevent his wife from keeping the grandchild from his mom and dad.

I also think I would wait til they visit you to mention this.

    What an upsetting situation!

Sandie, happy belated anniversay! What an AMAZINGLY romantic evening you had last night :)

ZONA, I might be able to march to 69 even if I were in a coma! haha!

    Shirley, good to see you!

    HI IBB, JL and Tina!

I'm on my last load of laundry! woohoo

    ReplyDelete
  89. Goldie: It sure sounds like a lot of drama. What a terrible time for it too with the two years away coming up. I am sure you will figure out what to do. Hopefully the nasty blog has been removed by now. If not, I would work on getting it removed. Good luck to you. It really sounds like you are torn up about it and I can't blame you, but you are very smart and you will figure out the right thing to do. :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  91. Joey, could you post here how to make a hyperlink? Pretty please???? :)

    ReplyDelete
  92. Bebbi I saw JT in Black Snake Moan and Alpha Dog. Alpha Dog is based on a true story. It's upsetting but good. JT was very good in it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. GOLDIE - I remember all the players. And I think you really should just stay out of it. Although TINA has something and maybe you should just smack your nephew upside the head!!!

If anyone has the chance to watch the Concert at the Lincoln Memorial...watch it!!!

I'll be back in a bit....

    Oh, and ZONA.....they're winning!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. JODI: I was just walking out to the car with Mr Z, and from everywhere in the neighborhood we heard angry voices yelling "F&@%"!!! and we both knew a TD had been scored by the other team.

I just turned it off...I can't watch..it's too nerve wracking!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thank you, EBJ! Well, at least the movie was AMAZING!

Just got back from the gym where I had fun on some weight machine I like to call "the jungle gym." It's sort of like doing pull ups but the machine helps (thank God). I was scrambling all over that thing like a monkey! Okay, so I wasn't so graceful. Well actually I fell off the bottom step and made the weight clang really loud so that everyone looked at me.

Zona, I'm sorry but I thought of you. :)

Mr. Sandie loves going to the gym with me. He's says I'm great entertainment. :/

    ReplyDelete
  96. Mo, sure I'll help you with your laundry!

I am always surprised at how much laundry just the 2 of us have in a week. Always have 2 loads of whites, 1 or 2 loads of towels, and usually 2 loads of darks. I wash my work scrubs separately too. I am not even counting in sheets or blankets, which are washed every other week.

That just seems like an aweful lot for 2 people, maybe it isn't unusual.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Sandie LMAO! That's why I don't go to a gym!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Dianne~ is it okay if I root for the eagles in the last 2 minutes?! :D

    ReplyDelete

    I give him props though!

    OMG

Whabbear will appreciate this one lmao

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hi everyone.

I have mulled it over, talked to friends, and have decided that I will do nothing. I like Tina's advice though, and if I get close enough to do it I will!

I will take my chances that my SIL will be pissed if she ever finds out. I just can NOT be the one to hurt her so much. One way or another things are going to blow up or make up before they leave (its for 4 years actually). I just can't have any part of it when it comes to a chance of involving her grandbaby. OY!

Thanks everyone, it is so much easier when you know you have a bunch of people who care about you and will offer advice.

I would talk to my nephew but he in turn tells his wife everything- so that will just end up causing more problems. So, keeping my mouth shut. BUT- I am printing the page and keeping it for down the road. Because you never know when you may need it. Like when my nephew wises up and divorces her ass!

That's totally something I would do!:)

  104. GOLDIE: I think your decision is a sound one.

Although each situation is different, I'm a pretty firm believer in not telling someone about something that will only hurt them, especially if they can do absolutely nothing about it..but be hurt more by knowing.

Lots of hugs and smiles to you, I know this day had to be a rough one for you.

  107. Someone from New York went to HomeDepot and bought $10.85 on something with our debit card.

It was red flagged right away and we were just notified on the phone. So we canceled our cards.

I feel so naked without my debit card.

  111. iteach That is terrible! I am surprised that they caught it for only $10.85, though. Did you lose your card?

  113. Iteach, that stinks. It happened recently to my son. Except his was a foreign country! He didn't lose his card either-it was right there in his pocket, and it was from his account in England and hadn't been used in 2 years (the card). The reversed everything and had to cancel the account too.

  114. iteach, my friend just had that happen to her! Apparently, an employee of a store where she used her debit card wrote down a list of card numbers that went through that day (this employee had access to them from the system) and then sold them to some bad guys for $10 a number. My friend got a call from her credit union saying thousands had just been spent in a Best Buy in Michigan. They wiped out her whole checking account.

The police told her it happens all the time. She did get all her money back. Scary, huh??

Goldie, so glad you made a decision--that alone must make you feel better. Families sure can be tough!
