Every time I hear this song on the radio, my hand automatically reaches to turn up the volume. I drive down the freeway dancing, singing and music blaring. When I saw Coldplay on Saturday Night Live, I was enthralled with the energy the band had. I found this video and related to the enthusiasm of the crowd. I can't keep still either. There are many theories as to the meaning of the lyrics, but it doesn't really matter to me what the song is about. I just love how it makes me feel.....happy. And it doesn't hurt that they won 3 Grammy's last week. Enjoy~

Thanks Carol and Zona. We are doing better. The new car helped a lot. Today Lane 1 took Lane 2 out to get her hair cut and to see Coraline. It was the first time my kids made plans together. It was actually really nice, since they came back still smiling.

Yes of course she gave you a pedi, you can't eat pigs feet, when the toe nails are sharp... LOL...
toward the end of church today, this older man didn't seem to be feeling well. The lady behind (a cop) went up to him and started talking to him. Hubby leaned over to me and whispered, "I think he's having a heart attack." He then RAN to the school to get the deffibulator (sp?) and call 911. The paramedics were there by the time mass was over. (thank God hubby didn't have to use the deffib!) We drove the man's car to the hospital so his wife could go in the ambulence with him. She just called to say everything is okay and they are home safe and sound. No heart attack, but really low blood pressure. She is 74 and he is 85 and going blind. I'm almost more worried about her now as she is so tired. So glad she called though to update us. In true Tina fashion.....I told the priest that I think it was the homily that did it! :D

A homily is a commentary that follows a reading of scripture. I remember as a child the homily was the most boring part of the church service, as the priest picks a topic then discusses it with the congregation. As I grew older tho, I learned to appreciate what he has to say...
Tina: So glad to hear that he is okay. I went to a daytime mass when my children were in catholic school. The priest invited everyone up to the front and an older gentleman came up with the group. During the prayer, he fell straight back. It was so sad, and he never recovered. He died a few days later. :(

You make me feel so guilty though, I haven't been to church in a long time. We used to go regularly and then we became Chreasters (Christmas and Easter attending). And now we don't go at all.
Bebbi I'm like you, used to go on Easter and usually Christmas Eve mass.
In the last 10 years or so, seems like the only time I have gone to church was for weddings, or funeral masses.
I think you should call it "Cheaqters" in honor of MO!

Since it's Sunday and we're talking about church, I thought I'd post these pics of the church I had my first marriage in.
It's very old, and very charming. An old organ, a loft for the choir.
My first wedding was 2 weeks before Christmas, so it was decorated for the holiday.
I've been there a couple times for Christmas Eve mass, my parents still go every year!

I was married in a quaint little church. It was called the "Candle light Chapel" It was in a beautiful setting too.....Las Vegas lol!
