Me, a chatter?

I am back again, I keep writing blogs, all tho its seems I don't have much to say, can that be? Me not have to much to say?

I have be known to chat quite a bit, actually my family and friends seem to ask me to "be quiet" for a moment while they get a word in..

Sunday was my second installment of a group of cousins of mine turning 50 within a few yrs of each other, these cousins are on the Marciano side, their parents are all pictured in the picture I shared with you all. It was so much fun for all of us to be together. We chatted for hrs, but most of all laughed our butts off.

During a bathroom break with two of my cousins, we were standing near the sink washing our hands. There was a woman standing next to us, and I struck up a conversation with her. My cousin tried asking me something several times, and I guess I ignored her, cause I was chatting. When I finally turned to say something to my cousin she was gone. I wished the woman well, and told her it was nice chatting with her. My other cousin and I left the bathroom, when I got back to the table, I asked my cousin (the one that left) why she took off. She looked me square in the face and said, "Do you talk with everyone? I tried to get in a word and could not cause you were chatting away with a stranger, so I left, you never change" I burst into laughter and so did she, the tears flew out of my eyes to meet hers, the laughter was infectious. She then reminded me of our summers at the Jersey shore and how I chatted with everyone as we walked the boardwalk night after night.

I am no doubt a chatter, I can't help it, It is embedded in me. I am still loved tho, so it is def a good thing.

:O)

    Morning Bebbi!

Carol you crack me up! People chat with me while I am out and about but I can't say I am a bonafide chatter. I have a cousin who like you will strike up conversation with anyone. We all laugh about it as she has gotten into some pretty amusing situations with people she has chatted up. LOL She will try to extricate herself and is stuck. We have all learned to drift away and and laugh about it. It drives her Mother crazy.

Off to get a coffee hit!

  4. Good Morning!

CPGEM: Oh I love to chat..and chat and chat. And chat some more. I have no problem talking to strangers in stores, and it drives my sister batty. My mom and dad were the same way, they could strike up a conversation with anyone.

    I still think I'm pretty shy though...maybe it's a selective shyness..?? ;)

  11. Good morning, Tina (congrats on first!), Bebbi, LynnD and Zona!

Carol, you sound like a lot of fun! I like to chat, too, and often get teased for it. I called aol to cancel my service years ago and talked to the guy on the phone for two hours--he told me all about his girlfriend and everything! When we moved here, we got a wrong number call and I talked to the lady for an hour. One of my friends says I attract strange people! LOL (She says she's an example!) But, I met her by chatting and now we're best friends!

I'm headed out the door shortly to mail the necklace to Carol! Here we go!

By the way, I decided not to include the list of addresses, I'll just send a note to each person telling them who they send it to next along with the address, if they don't already have it.

  12. LynnD, I'm sorry you still have cold weather. Our temps will drop again this weekend (to the 50's) but today and tomorrow will be in the 80's!

**singing** I'm wearin' my flip flops ...

  13. Good morning, Hooters! Carol, chatting with strangers is just a side effect of being an extrovert - no crime in that. It might have been a little uncomfortable if you'd struck up a conversation with the stranger in the stall next to you, but you had the manners to wait until the sink!

  14. LynnD~ blizzard last night~ but sunny now....don't be sending me any more snow! :D

    good morning sandie~

  23. Back, while I am at lunch. Carol, great blog. I am not a really chatty person.

Although, yesterday, a funny thing happened at QDoba. I decided to go and get a naked burrito since I had a coupon for their anniversary for free chips and queso. Their queso is so good! Well, I decided I would relax a little and eat it there. Usually I just take it home. I was sitting there watching the cars go by and there was a little family there. A mom, a little boy was about 6-8, a little girl 10-12 and a boy, 15-16. The mom was speaking spanish and english and talking to the boy about his math class. The boy was saying that he went to math.com and talked to the teacher and he was just not getting it. I didn't mean to eavesdrop but it got me to thinking. I called my son who is a whizz at math. I asked him if he would ever be interested in tutoring. Well, he said he would do it after I explained the situation.

So, as the family was getting up to leave. I told the mother that I had happened to over hear the struggles in math her son was having. I told her my son is a Junior at U of L and he was very good in Math (he has a 3.97 GPA). If she liked, I could give her his number. Well, long story,,,no so short,,, they called him last night and he is going over to help the boy on Thursday with his Trigonometry.

Mr. Bebbi thinks I should have minded my own business. But, from one mom to another, I could tell she was really stressed about it all and he genuinely seemed to want to learn it. Hopefully, it works out and my son can help him.

So, occasionally I am chatty to people too. Or just nosy?? Or can't help but to try and help other people??..

Also, all my kids hate it when I brag on them. I have the bad habit of doing that to random drug store clerks or miscellaneous people. It drives them nuts!

Okay, I have officially written a mini-blog inside Carol's blog..!! haha!

  24. Good morning!

    Tina gets 1st again! Congrats!

I like to chat, not so much on the phone. I find I spend lots of time with people at work, whether another staff member, or a patient.

I love talking to the elderly people who come in, they have some really interesting things to share.

Sometimes I get backed up because I am busy talking. It's all good, the patients enjoy it, I enjoy it, and hopefully it makes their and my day better!

I have to go to the dentist this morning, and some errands to run.

So the necklace is getting mailed to Carol, the 1st of the chain gang, today. Should be fun!

Hope everyone has a nice day today!

    ReplyDelete
  25. EBJ: Have fun at the dentist..as it is always so much fun.

  26. Bebbi, your huz sounds like a normal man. I think if they had their way, they'd just grunt to each other and shoot people with peas and slingshots to get their attention. Women are more verbal.

I don't know why I have the impression, or what gave it to me, but gay men and women seem to have an advantage. The men can be verbal if they need to be and the women are good with peas and slingshots. A definite advantage, if you ask me.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh, I made a faux pas. I didn't mean "normal" man. I meant "typical" man. That was a terrible misstep on my part and I meant no disrespect at all. Pls forgive and accept my apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Good Morning Everyone.
CAROL - Chatty is a good thing. Many times chatty will bring a smile to someone's face who didn't feel like smiling beforehand, or maybe learn something new, and on and on and on. I inherited chatty and nutty from my mother. So CAROL......chat on!

    ReplyDelete
  29. BEBBI - You are definitely on a Divine Roll. The fact that you stayed behind to eat lunch yesterday out of the clear blue sky meant you were supposed to hear that family's conversation and your son was meant to help.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tina Congrats on #1. You're becoming an expert at swooping in early.

Bebbi I think that's great that you reached out to that family. I'm sure your son's assistance will make a big difference to that boy. Kudos to you both.

Carol I will occasionally strike up a conversatin with a stranger but, in general, although I think I am friendly, I am not a chatty person. I grew up in a very quiet household so maybe that has something to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Slani Yes, you are chatty and nutty. That's part of your charm. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. BONACCI - You are forgiven. I think we grow up hearing NORMAL/ABNORMAL over & over throughout our lives and it makes it so easy to refer to situations, or people as normal or abnormal, as opposed to a person or situation being typical or atypical.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lani, thank you. I am an expert at putting my foot in my mouth. When I travel outside the U.S., people will refer to me as "American" either to tease me or insult me. I take no offense. But then one time I was having a "discussion" with a person from Brazil. His English wasn't great and my Portuguese could definitely be better. I got frustrated and told him that I was an American, trying to discuss an American product made by an American company and could he please find someone who spoke English. Oh. My. God. You'd have thought I'd insulted his dead mother who happened to be a saint and martyr as well. I learned that I was arrogant, stupid (on account that I didn't know there was such a place as South America) insensitive and ugly. Sometimes it really pays to just shut up.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good Morning PORNLESS _IN_UT.

Maybe we should ask EBJ to hook us up to iv cath with a cawffee drip and Foley cath and we would never have to leave our computers.

LYNN - So you have a stair master. ;)

SANDIE - It is your warm heart talking.

ZONA - My sister is the quieter of the two of us also.

GOLDIE, IBB & MEK - I guess we are all actually chatty because we are on the Nest.

BIRDEE - I think your little chicken body needs to take a trip to TJ Max. :)

EBJ - I'm sure your chattiness helps to relax your patients.

SLIN - I hope you are feeling better today.

    ReplyDelete
  35. BONACCI - Now I have to apologize. Rather than referring to people as typical or atypical, I really mean that a behavior or a response could be typical or atypical. And I guess it should only refer to a situation. Does all of this go back to ITEACH'S blog about labels?

    ReplyDelete
  36. yeah- 2 for 2

Bebbi- I think what you did for that lady and her son was the right thing- and I think your son is FANTASTIC for helping!! Kudos to both of you. Isn't that what we should all do? Help each other?? Hell yes.

I remember one day in the Hilldale mall a few weeks ago there was a young mother with an infant and a 2-3 year old having a meltdown. She had to go potty RIGHT NOW. The bathroom was full,(it is a 2 staller) and she was trying to push in a stroller.

Just then someone came out of a stall and I said to her- I'll stay with the baby you go with her. Well you know she was tempted but not sure if I was a crazed baby stealer. The little girl really started yelling and I said "look, I'm a Grandma - want to see pics?" I promise to watch your baby and I won't move him a muscle.

Well, I am pretty sure she said a prayer as she let go of the stroller and went into that stall with the other one, who screamed even louder that she couldn't go WITH the door OPEN. I stayed with the baby, made him smile and giggle and the Mother burst out of the stall when they were done and was so relieved to see us by the door I thought she was going to cry. We said goodbye and I met up with Mr. Lacy for lunch at a little chinese place.

Lo and behold in comes the mom with kids in tow. You order at the counter, get your drinks and stuff then sit down. Well, same problem. Stroller, little girl and no free hands. Mr. Goldie got up and offered to carry all her stuff. She let him, and when she found a seat next to us she recognized me and just couldn't get over all the help we gave her.

What was surprising to me (us) was that NOBODY offered to help her at all besides us.

Ok, how was that for a long ass comment??????????

    ReplyDelete
  37. GOLDIE - That says a LOT, BIG TIME, for your character shining through that she ended up trusting you in this day and age. You and Mr. GOLDIE are a great pair.

  38. The necklace is on its way to Carol!! I put it in one of those little padded envelopes and it was $1.51 to mail. Yea!

IBB and MEK, LOL @ MEK teaching a craft class in the aisle!!

    Lani, xoxoxo!

My Dad talks to EVERYONE. He cuts up and jokes wherever we go. He just makes me laugh all the time. Then my Mom says her famous line--"that man doesn't have a brain in his head!" That's the secret to their 55 year marriage! LOL

Hello to everyone I didn't say hi to this morning--Goldie, Lani, Bonacci, IBB, MEK, Birdee, EBJ, and Just_Lin!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Bebbi, that was very nice of you to offer your son's help. It helped the boy/mother and your son!

Goldie, that was so kind of you to help that woman and her babies.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think we stumbled upon an issue here. The world has gone nucking futs. People don't trust each other. People look for insult where none is intended. Everyone has to walk through the minefield of free thought to ensure the thought police don't catch them having politically incorrect thoughts.

I think there's a distinction between labeling and celebrating our differences. If we were all the same, we'd be clones. I do get tired of having to be respectful of people from other countries while they spew hatred at me because I'm "Americano". God forbid I call myself that, though.

I'm me. If people don't like it, SUCK IT!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sandie, your dad sounds like the type of man who can put anyone in a good mood. People like that are true treasures to discover. I hope the pleasure he gets from being himself is equal to the pleasure he gives.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thank you, Bonacci. He is fun to be around and everyone loves him. Sometimes he embarrasses Mom though because he says whatever he's thinking.

The other day a man said to him, "It sure is nice out!" and my Dad said, "Yes, it's so nice out I think I'll leave it out!" Mom slugged him.

    ReplyDelete
  43. When I was growing up people were not afraid of each other. A man could pass a person and tip his hat and you would smile back. My mother didn't have to wonder if I might be abducted on my way home from school. We could leave our doors unlocked.

    Celebrating each other is best.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Goldie, I liked your long ass comment :)
Bebbi lol @ your min blog!

Bonacci~I love your "foreign adventures". I take it you travel a lot.

Carol, I love to chat, but hate to be the first to say something for fear that I am intruding. An example is on airplanes. Some people put out definite vibes to be left alone.
On my last flight Mr Mary and I were seated apart. The young man to my left spoke and was very interesting(student). The gal to my right was silent the whole trip. As we were landing I said something to her like "rough landing". Well she opened up and didn't stop talking until we deplaned. I found out more about her than I had from the young man! I guess you never know about those "vibes" lol

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lani, I remember the days when people thought good of each other until proven differently. In 1992 my then-husband threw me out of a car 15 miles from home during 110 degree heat. I was 7 months pregnant.

For about 8 miles, nobody stopped. I had no money, no water, no phone, nothing. Finally, a man pulled over and asked if he could take me somewhere. I was beyond caring about who or what he might be. I took the ride.

What a shame it was that people were afraid to help another person out. I can't blame them. I am thankful though, for that man who did stop. I had an emergency c-section that night. Things could have been a lot worse if not for that angel.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mary/MI; Foreign adventures? Yes I travel for work a lot, but not on purpose. My official role is as a technical advisor of sorts and someone who supposedly speaks several languages. Mostly I manage to stay out of foreign jails, though. I don't do anything wrong per se, but things just happen.

I think the most trouble I've been in lately was last November. My clients had some work in Las Vegas. We were invited to NEVER come back.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good Afternoon everyone. The snow has stopped and the sun has come out but it is very cold here. I just got up from a nap after returning from my doctor's visit. I think I will put the snowsuits on my 'fur babies' and go for a walk. I will be back to read the blog and comments. Hope everyone is having a great day.

  50. oh oh oh .... Goldie~ When I worked for See's Candies, I was on a break and walking in the mall with my uniform on. I was walking back and was passing the bathrooms and this dad with his 3 or 4 yr old daughter was trying to figure out how to take her to the bathroom. I could see on his face that he didn't want to take her in the men's room and he didn't want her to go by herself in the ladies room. So I stopped and asked him if he'd like me to take her. The look of relief on his face was evident, but boy was I nervous. I think he trusted me because I was in uniform and he knew where he could find me if need be. I just wish kids didn't have to be afraid the way they are today~ Thanks for reminding me of this. I think it's great that you and the Mr (no name here):D were both so helpful~

    Bebbi~ you've got an awesome son there~

    ReplyDelete
  51. Carol!! I think you wrote this blog about me lol

I can totally relate!! I have ALWAYS loved to talk/chat...with a brick wall if it would listen lol

It has been my downfall at times, but for the most part, most people enjoy my chatty nature...I do strike up conversations all the time with complete strangers(Surely most think I'm a nut job lmao)

It is a bit odd though because I am NOT a telephone person and when I met my rosie group friends back in May 2008, some of them found me rather "shy" lol..Me? shy? haha

I do tend to get quiet when I'm nervous around crowds, but soon warm up and you can't shut me up haha

    lol@bonacci with "nucking futs" haha
I'm SO excited about Idol tonight, but I hear it's "michael jackson songs"...Ugh lol

I mean only Michael can do Michael songs..We'll hafta see....

    ReplyDelete
  53. wow bonacci, that was some ordeal!!

Tina, that was a cute story..thanks for sharing!

I think I mentioned this before, but I tend to strike up personal convos with customer service reps. on the telephone lol

I can tell if the person is going to be receptive, just by the way they talk, and I have had some interesting conversations lol

Some of them can be so cool and kinda step out of "business mode" to be personable

I have had some even admit that they were answering my calls from HOME lol...That's the kind of job I want!

    ReplyDelete
  54. zona, I sandwiched you in between my comments lol

What is ijs? I made Joey Sandwich? lol

goldie, I didn't see your comment at first and you're the same as me! you aren't a phone chatterer either haha

I hate a telephone lol..I mean they're great for emergency, but I dunno why, I just don't like talking on the phone...I even have a prepaid cell because of this..I make my minutes last FOREVER! lol

    ReplyDelete
  55. MEK: LOL at the regular squatters! ;)

IBB: How's your day been going? is your back any better?

BIRDEE: Your blog was great! Funny, I have a mop on my head too. ;)

BEBBI: How sweet of you to offer..double sweet of your son to agree!

    ReplyDelete
  56. that being said, I have been known at times in the past, to talk for 6-7 hours straight on the phone! LMAO

It's rare, but I have done it!

Once when my honey came to see me in VA, we talked almost 4 hours straight without hanging up, of his 5 hour trip lol

Well, I walked 15,257 steps so far today. Getting up and going to the Y at 5:30 was interesting. I am going to try and do that 2 days a week.

    ReplyDelete
  71. lol@phooey!! Thanks for marching with me..I was starting to think I was doing it alone!(by doing it alone I mean marching LMAO) too early for porn!

Well, I just talked up Carol haha

  72. I scared everyone off lol

How could I forget my main crush from Idol? My boy Danny Gokey..SO adorable!;)

  73. Zona, I know it's hard to believe, but there are some things that even Las Vegas frowns upon. I'm not entirely sure what the exact mortal sin was, but I think it was either base jumping from hotel roofs or skydiving without a parachute in L.V. airspace. It could have been both together. This is an example of my guilt by association. I didn't jump out of, or off of anything. But my client was responsible for the antics. Our names were taken and we were told to feel free to never return. I guess they don't want potential gamblers going splat.

On that note JoeyVA, I do have the pleasure of working from home most of the time. I have clients in assorted time zones, so there is no such thing as a full night's sleep. Usually 2-3 hours on the nights that I do sleep. I'm also on a 12 hour leash, which means that I have to be ready to leave for anywhere in the world for an indeterminate period of time 12 hours after being told I'm to leave. It's great fun and a wild adventure, but it is hard work. No kidding. A sense of humor does wonders.

  74. birdee: I think Paula stole some of your feathers tonight on American Idol! ROFLMAO;)

    ReplyDelete
  75. bonacci: very interesting!

wow, I bet you never have a dull moment lol

    ReplyDelete
  76. JoeyVA, this week has actually been pretty dull so far. You can tell because I post a lot. I work like a fiend for a while, then it gets quiet.

One day I will have to write a Travel Log on how to keep laughing when everything that could possibly go wrong, does.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Zona I never chat about my 69s. LOL Oh, and congrats on 100.

Joey I love your little St. Patty's day owl. So cute!

Bonacci I'm fascinated. Exactly what is your job?

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm intrigued by your job too bonacci lol

    Thanks Just_lin!

Without giving any spoilers, I have to say that the FIRST HALF of Idol, was SO SO great!! WOW! lol

This year is smokin' hot!! these people can frickin' sing!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Joey I have a green owl but he's not as cute as yours.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Hello all of my chatty friends!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Here is somthing a little funny.

Today at lunch my son bit into his apple and it had a brown spot in it.

He asked the other little boy what it was and the little boy said "apple poop". :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. JustLin; I have a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and neural networking. My minor was mechanical engineering. I used to have respectable titles like Software Engineer for respectable companies.

Then I started homeschooling my daughter and needed more freedom. So I went to freelance consulting. It was just one thing leading to another. Now I have clients who ask me to mix up a nice batch of solid rocket fuel, integrate hardware for scientific research, write software examples for a university professor or do simple maintenance on PCs. If, 10 years ago, you'd asked me if I thought I'd calmly sit in a little plane whilst some idiot jumped out of it with neither shirt nor parachute, I'd say "absolutely not". Times change, no?

    ReplyDelete
  83. CAROL...great blog! I can totally see you chatting up people! And that's a good thing!

I like to chat, too. But it seems that I am a chat magnet...strangers seem to feel the need to tell me their life stories! I tend to walk away asking myself if I had a post it note on my forehead that said I care!!!! LOL!

TINA, GOLDIE and BEBBI...your acts of kindness don't surprise me one bit...just sayin'!

BTW...Idol is great so far tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hi JOEY - I am glad you are feeling better, and that you r family is setting in their new digs.

Your new owl is great SLIN.

ITEACH - I love the "apple poop". It reminds me of Art Linkletter's show, "Kids Say the Darndest Things"

    ReplyDelete
  85. iteach, what's that saying about the apple? The only thing worse than finding a worm in your apple is finding half a worm?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Well that was a long "bbl" lol! My internet service crashed so I went outside and played in the mud! We have had so much rain that our ground is saturated. My son & niece parked on the grass and got stuck. I was out there filling ruts and smoothing mud on the driveway. I forgot about the time change and stayed out til dark. I was out there "mudding for 3 hrs! I did take a break to talk to our missy Jody :). Thanks Jody, you prob. saved my life lol!!

Bonacci, You are a very interesting lady. You do need to write a book on your adventures. I hope you are keeping a diary.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Bonacci- I forgot about that apple saying! It made me gag. :)

Mary that is a lot of mud! We have a lot here too. Today's weather was just plain darn nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  88. bonacci~ lmbo at half a worm~

    iteach~ that's just precious~

    Mary_muddy_in_MI~ hi~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  89. MoJo~ uh....i read that post it....was it wrong? :)~

    ReplyDelete
  90. Just_Lin: your owl is cute!! I like his very big eyes lol

    Too cute iteach!

Oh, and my girl crush on Idol is Megan!! lol..she's just precious!

I think it's going to be VERY difficult to pick a winner this year if tonight's any inkling as to how well they're gonna sing each week!

I think I know the 2 that are going home though lol

    ReplyDelete
  91. Mary/MI, I think my life is no more interesting than yours. I have never had to dig cars out from mud, and I think I'd just panic and give up if something tore my front lawn up. It is what you make of it. You call it "mudding" and seem to be able to laugh about it.

I keep hearing about people having snow. How do you live with it? I'm fascinated by people going on with their lives when there's a blizzard. I don't even know what a blizzard is. To me, that's a challenge that frankly, I don't think I'm capable of. A life like yours is a true adventure that I am too cowardly to attempt. Nothing I do matters. It's all silliness. You and people like you survive.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Bonacci, Tina used to be interesting until Lent started lol!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Mary~ LMBO!!!! omg!!!! spit my DP all over the monitor...the Mr is mad now!!! LMBO!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. well heck....no one told me we were dressing up for St Patty's day already~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  95. Bonacci, Yes, our winters can be challenging. I guess I don't know how to live any other way. My Husband is a Fin lander and lived in our Upper Peninsula. His winters were a lot harsher than ours. I guess it is all relative. I think it makes us appreciate the other seasons more.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Did any of you get to watch "What would you do?" tonight? It was really good. Kind of the same theme as the blog today, chatting, helping, caring, and connecting!

    ReplyDelete
  97. TINA: LOL! Top of the evenin' to you! Eunice is a vision in green! I'm lovin' the lipstick...and she kinda looks like my 7th grade English teacher..well, without the hat. ;)

MARY, ITEACH: It was sunny and warm here today..think flip flops. Wish I could trade..I love the rain.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Zona - Thanks for getting my room ready. I am applying for my passport tomorrow. I am off to bed. I think I am getting another cold.

    Good Night everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Sorry to be a bummer, but....

It was just on the news that a local hospital, not mine, just laid off 145 people. I am asking you all to pray that my job stays safe and secure. I truly don't know if I could take losing another job.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Mary I LMAO that Tina used to be interesting! OMG, still laughing!!!!

Tina Love Eunice's new outfit. She looks so smart and dapper.

Bonacci That must be a very interesting job. I would imagine it pays well, too, but isn't it difficult to put your life on hold, unexpectedly, at a moment's notice. It seems it would be hard to make plans in your life.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi Everyone!

On the front page of the blog is our very first, well 2nd pic with the

  103. EUNCIE - Stunning, just stunning. You are so 1940's sophisticated with a bit of the Irish.

    ReplyDelete
  104. MO - I will pray for you and all workers. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear a report of people being laid off or losing their homes.

SLIN - I can see in your owl's eyes that he has consumed an abundance of cawffee.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Mo,
The vibes, the smiles, the prayers, the energy, the hugs, are all on their way to you..

You will def. be in my prayers.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Tina, Eunice looks great in her St. Patrick's Day get up! But, in that little picture, she looks a bit like Boy George, don't you think?? :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. Bonacci,
I must say.. your job description, very interesting...

    Mek,
    Thinking of you

    Joey,
I noticed all your top faves were male, gee, I wonder why..

    Zona,
Hi, glad you are up and about..

    Tina,
I can't mention porn, cause you won't let me, so I ate 5 girl scout cookies..

btw, has anyone noticed that girl scout cookies have gotten smaller, or did my mouth get bigger.. cause the whole cookie fits right in without a problem, two chews, 1 gulp, and its gone...

    ReplyDelete
  115. Oh crap! Eunice, you look like a St Pat's hooker..

    LMAO...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Mo- I'm thinking extra duper positive thoughts.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Carol LMAO @ St. Pat's hooker! You just have porn on your mind. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  118. I lmbo at what you all do with Eunice! That woman is famous as well as a very good sport. Er, well she would be, anyway.

JustLin, it took some getting used to; Sometimes you feel like a gypsy. In 2005 I pretty much left home in January and was gone till June. Kids can travel with passports. Dogs just have to get through customs. I made the world into a classroom for my daughter. Looked out for learning opportunities. You can pay bills online and I have a good support system to ensure the house doesn't fall apart. Some of my work was inappropriate or not exactly safe, so I sent my daughter to stay with my Dad. When she finished high school, I sent her to university and granted guardianship to a professor I knew. That daughter is finishing up her B.S. degree at 18. The other daughter (16) who lives with her dad dropped out of school this past year. I'm not saying my way is better, but I'm more pleased with the results.

The pay is decent. I am unfortunately, a better scientist than business woman. I never feel right charging my full fee. It all works out. I appreciate the slow times and turn on auto-pilot during the crazy times.

    ReplyDelete
  119. J/L,
Crap I am not suppose to be thinking of porn, please, just don't tell Tina!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thanks guys. I am trying to process it all. The hospital is in Akron, and I think they are even a little worse off then Cleveland economically. I keep going over in my head how we could cut staff in our division. There really aren't any worker bees that are non-essential. There are, however, an abundance of Managers, Directors and Supervisors...and they earn a hell of a lot more then we peons do. We all also see the Managers spending hours bullshitting in each others offices...maybe one could do the job of 2 or 3 if they really worked. My job directly helps to bring in money, so I am hoping they realize that. OY.

Thanks again. I love you all.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Mo,
Sometimes in situations such as this the upper management goes first, as their salary would save money for any company. Whereas the average worker will stay on the job. So, that would be good in your case..

Not that your average, but you know what I mean..

    ReplyDelete
  122. Crap, she saw it...

Does this mean I have to throw up the cookies I ate..

    BTW,
Who told you about the porn? :O)

    ReplyDelete
  123. Bonacci,
I admire anyone who travels, and who is willing to look "outside the box" cause I truly live in a box, and never look outside..

    Kudos to you!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Time for bed... 12:19AM...

    Yawn, Yawn...

    ReplyDelete
  126. OH - and I totally agree about the girl scout cookies - small cookies, less in the box and cost more..

Heck, i remember when the cookies were 50 cents a box and we had to actually carry the cookies with us and sell them door to door..... i was a brownie then!!!

    ReplyDelete
  127. cpgem - is going to bed right before a march......
    I can't believe it.......

    ReplyDelete
  128. I have a typo - but got it anyway!!!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Mary/MI; Technically, I am from California. I bought a small home in Italy this past year, so I can claim Italy as a residence and be truthful. It's in Dolomiti, the Italian side of the Alps.

I'm not surprised that a cabbie tried to scam you. Most europeans think of Americans (okay, USAers) as "easy marks". It's not a great time to be an American outside the USA right now.

    ReplyDelete
  130. okay -off to bed for me......

seems that everyone else has gone to bed.......

so - Just lin - when you arrive - please have sweet dreams!!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Bonacci, thanks for being so kind as to answer so many questions from this curious owllett! Now I know why you don't write with an accent lol!

    HAPPY B-DAY JODY!!!

Now I'm REALLY going to bed!

    ReplyDelete
  136. JustLin; The house is actually set up like one of our B&Bs. Bottom level is kitchen, living areas and a room for the 78 year-old woman we call Zia. She came with the house. 2nd level for the main bedrooms and baths. 3rd level is more bedrooms and water closet. If you don't mind communal living european style, I don't mind telling Zia to expect you. She keeps the 3rd level closed but will open it if need be.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Bonacci Someday, if I ever think I could stand to be in an airplane that long, I would like to see Italy.
