When we moved into this house, I loved it. One of the reason's was because it was a quiet area and behind the house was a wooded area. I thought, PRIVACY!!! A good thing. Hey, if I wanted to, I could walk around the family room nekkid....If I wanted to. Plus, there were Deer living in the wood's. Another plus, we also had wild Turkey's in there. I had never seen one, so close up. I'm not in the country, but the property behind me is not developed. Plenty of house's around.
There was a huge tree in the backyard, great for shade because I have three large window's facing the backyard and it could get very warm in here. Well, that huge tree turned out to be a pain in the ass. No grass would grow under it, and it did nothing but clutter my yard with ACORNS! I hate Acorns. You couldn't even walk outside barefoot. Then there were the Squirrel's. Not bad at first, just a few of them. They were cute. Well, after a couple of year's, I couldn't take the mess anymore and I wanted some grass to walk on. So we had it cut down. It wasn't in that great of shape anyway. Then we put up a fence. I thought it would help to keep the squirrel's in the wood's and I was thinking about getting A dog. We still had one tree left in the backyard that would provide some shade. And......One dog turned into Three!
All was fine until last summer. I started to notice that the Squirrel's seemed to multiplying, more than usual. I thought ok, they're cute, fun to watch. Yeah, right! It seem's the Wood's were not enough for them. They would climb the damn fence just to get at that One tree left in my yard. WTH! That tree doesn't have acorn's! I figured out they wanted the leaf sprout's. You know, the little whirlybirds. Now this turned into a big problem. Dog's and squirrel's do not mix well. Actually, Pepper started it all! She turned out to be a little hunter, not the quiet little dog I thought she would be. She live's for Barking!!! As you know, I have two Boxer's too.....they are Not barking dog's. But, crazy Boz soon picked up the bad habit. Pepper also taught my sweet Boxer's how to CHASE those damn Squirrel's!
Well, last summer the dog's caught two squirrel's and they died. Boz got scratched on the nose and I freaked out! All I could think of was Rabies! I got the dog's in the house and called my Vet, then I made some call's to see if I could get someone to remove the squirrel. It was caught in the fence. Some place's would not do it and another place wanted like $75.00 to get rid of it. Oh, Hell no!! The dog's were going crazy, wanting to get back outside. I certainly was Not going to remove it. What if it was still alive and went crazy one me?? So, I did the only thing I could think of...I called Mr. Birdee at work and Made him come home and remove it. All summer it was like I had to be on guard duty. I was not going to deal with another dead squirrel. Then winter came, I thought good, I get a break! Wrong!! Those little sucker's seemed to be everywhere. I swear they climb that fence and into that tree just to torment my dog's. Ruby and Pepper would sit under that tree, staring up for hour's, just waiting to pounce on them. The freak'n squirrel's would sit in that tree, flipping their tale's....taunting my dog's! Some would even come half way down the tree and run back up. More torture for the dog's. So, I put a little two foot fence around the tree, thinking at least this will put some distance between them. It help's a little... but instead of just jumping off the fence to retreat into the wood's, these bullies run along the top of the fence. Some slip. Which mean's, of course, the dog's simply must chase them in hope's of catching one! In the last few week's.....these squirrelly squirrel's have taken to jumping on the roof and now the dog's are jumping on the house trying to get to them!
I'm so over it! What are they going to do next?
Oh! It also seem's that there are alot of FROG'S in the wood's. They like to hop all the way into my yard too. It's not bad enough that I have to be on Squirrel watch, I also have to Save the Frog's! You should see the dog's try to 'play with them. It seem's the frog's like to hang out right by the back door's! Just Lovely! Not! I've also found two snake's on the back patio! WTH!!
So, my question's are.....why do these little bullies have to climb my fence to get to my one tree, when they have a whole forest to play and eat in, and why does it seem they have multiplied so much? Why are these creature's not staying in the woods???? Why can't they leave my dog's alone?? Why are they not afraid of my crazy dog's?? I don't want to be on guard duty this summer! It's time to move....the vermin have Won!

ReplyDeleteZONA - Good to see you!!!
Off to read the blog....bbl. :O)
BIRRRDEEEE!! Can I laugh?? Is it ok? Cuz I want to..and yet I can 'hear' the frustration in your words.
ReplyDeleteAw heck..LOL! When I read your blog it reminded me of a Chip and Dale cartoon. I know, they were chipmunks..but still...I got the same sense of mischief from your backyard squirrels. I really wonder if they sit in their nests..or holes..or wherever they live...and laugh at your poor pups barking down below.
I hope the squirrels realize there are other places they can go and be squirrely and leave your backyard in peace!
Loved your blog this morning BIRDEE...thank you!
FIRST!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecrap!~
ReplyDeleteOh Birdee...
ReplyDeleteI feel for you...
We actually had to take out our bird feeders because the squirrels thought it was for them.. and my HOUND DOG thinks taht squirrels are her mortal enemies!!!
and yes they do know exactly what they are doing... they tease my dogs soooo badly... and poor ole Gus used to be a good boy... but Maggie has taught him how to chase squirrels...... they di the high wire act over the yard ... and that just drives her CRAZY!!!!
so Birdee.. I feel for ya...
not much you can do!!!
Morning ZONA.... almost...
Morning JODI!!!
ok....first....I loved the video!!! Second, I have a simular problem, but with rabbits!!! We have huge evergreen trees that surround our property and they love them. They have also eaten every bulb that I have ever planted, so now I just have a few planters out front with flowers. I can't understand why they would want to tease your poor dogs, but don't let the vermin win!!!
ReplyDeleteTINA - lol @ first!!! NOT!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to thank everyone for their comments on my blog on Friday. I have been a bit under the weather for the past couple of days, but I will read the blogs and comments I missed.
ReplyDeleteMorning JODI! Great to see you too!
Morning TINA..I missed Eunice..
ReplyDeleteBIRDEE: Loved the video!! (thanks JODI for mentioning it, I guess I'm not all here yet).
ReplyDeleteMorning Glories!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first IBB!
Birdee I will trade you I will take the squirrels in your yard if you will take the moles and pigeons that I have. Kay?
The pigeons create havoc with the dogs and they have caught a couple over the years. I make Mr. Lynn D deal with the departed. I used to get upset but they are doing what dogs do.
Now the moles I keep hoping the dogs catch the suckers! They are tearing up our yard.
I say the squirrels take their chances!
Waving at everyone!
Zona so glad you are feeling better!
Ibb!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on First..
Tina!
I missed ya!
Mek!

LynnD!
Moles??? so funny I don't think I have ever seen a mole, except for the ones on ppls faces, which totally freak me out..
Birdee...
ReplyDeleteI loved your blog, I can just picture you putting a fence around the tree.. so funny.. and the dogs, my oh my, they are like cujo when it comes to squirrels.. Geez..
The vid, I thought if Birdee's cujo's can attach this poor not so innocent squirrels.. well than the squirrels will fight back with one of the most popular MJ's songs ever..
Perfect!
Today is Birdee's first blog ever.. Kudos Birdee.. clap, clap, clap..
ReplyDeleteattach should be attack..
ReplyDeleteGotta go..
ReplyDeletesee ya later
Good Morning Hooters!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1st ibb.
Great video and great blog birdee! I have the same problem as Jodi- rabbits! Pepper lives for chasing them out of the yard. I just cringe at the thought if she ever catches one.
I'll take my frigging vegetation eating rabbits over your moles anyday Lynn. Now those things are a pain in the ass!
mini- march....
ReplyDelete25 for MEK
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first, IBB!!
ReplyDeleteBirdee, congrats on your first blog! You made me laugh but I know the squirrels are frustrating. Luc & Remy love chasing squirrels, too. The squirrels run along the top of the fence and the dogs go crazy. We also have frogs, lizards and voles in our backyard. Luc's mission in life is to catch them. One night he came in from outside and Mr. Sandie pulled what he thought was a string hanging out of Luc's mouth. It was a frog leg, with the whole frog still attached. Ewww! Mr. Sandie is always telling Luc & Remy that poodles are supposed to be more refined than that. LOL
Zona, so glad you're feeling better.
Hi Jodi, Tina, LynnD and Carol!
Hi Goldie!
ReplyDeleteHappy monday!!
ReplyDeleteIBB - congrats on FIRST!!! (now, get to work!!! LOL)..

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
Good morning everyone!
ReplyDeleteBirdee, I have a feeling the "an-i-mules" are wondering why YOU have moved into THEIR territory lol!
We have everything here including deer, moles, 10ft blue racer snakes, gobs of squirrels, rabbits and bats. Our dog barks and chases the squirrels, but hasn't annihilated any of them yet! Just likes to play.
Good luck this summer!
Birdee - congrats on your FIRST blog - and what a good one it is!!
ReplyDeleteour little Tug has discovered the lizards in the back yard - I pray that she NEVER brings me one of those - it's bad enough that she comes to the door with shit hanging out of her mouth!! I would much rather deal with that !!!
I hope your "frogs" are not those poison ones like we have here.. "Colorado River Toads" -
I'm posting the necklace list again but I did change up the order some. Jodi and Goldie wanted to be together so they could hand it off to each other and I thought J/L and Lani would want to do the same.

I'm thinking I'll include the list of names and addresses in with the necklace. Just check off your name before mailing to the next person. The last person can mail it back to me. It's okay to join in as we go, just let me know!
Is that okay or should I email people with the info of who they mail it to after them?
I did ask Mary when she was going on her cruise so she could have it then and she said not to worry about it. If you change your mind, Mary, just let me know and I'm sure we can change around for you! I did move your name up but I'm sure I didn't get the week right.
Mary - i would have to move if i saw a TEN FOOT snake!!! YIKES!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh - and good morning!!!
Happy Birthday Jodi's little Brother!
ReplyDeleteIn Colorado, we had LOTS of squirrels and rabbits....
ReplyDeleteat my office complex, this gal in the next building used to throw peanuts to the squirrels and they would line up at the same time every day to get their daily fix - well, she left, but the squirrels were programed to get their nuts - SO, the doc sent me to the grocery store for a large bag of peanuts - and we started feeding them..
One day - we heard a knocking noise on the back door (it was unlocked, so we didn't know why someone was knocking) - we opened the door and one of the squirrels was right next to the door and the others were lined up - guess we didn't feed them soon enough.. and that started the ritual - when they knocked - we'd toss them some peanuts!!
gotta love 'em!!!
Sandi, I leave on April 6, no problem on when you send it as long as I am not gone while it is sitting at home lol!
ReplyDeleteMEK~ ew! pretty bad when you prefer dog shit lol!
Jodi, You daughter's vid was too short. I would love to hear more!
BBL Have to dry and straighten my curly locks...
ReplyDeleteYou guys are cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteMEK I would take shit over the moles!
Goldie Mr. Lynn D has been gathering weapons of mass mole destruction the last week or so. As soon as the weather gets better it is going to be all out war! I keep having visions of Caddy Shack for some reason.
Carol they are ugly suckers when you see them but they tunnel all over the yard and have been known to tunnel under foundations of houses. Not fun. They have killed our butterfly bush and a vine maple! The little bastards.
Sandie the list with the necklace sounds good to me.
Mary thank god the only snakes we see hear are garden snakes! When we lived in Eastern WA you had to be on the look out for Rattlers. That is why I don't miss Eastern WA.
Ok need to get stuff done it is freaking snowing here again this morning! Already an inch on the ground. Don't know how Mr. Lynn D is getting home unless he walks. If this keeps up I am not driving!
Mary, I did have you listed for the right week! LOL But, we were going to mail the necklace on Monday or Tues to allow people to have a weekend with it. It would come to you the week you leave if I leave your name where it is. IBB would only have it a couple of days if she mailed it out early to you.
ReplyDeleteHow about I switch you and IBB and if you keep it extra time to take on the cruise, that's up to you!
MEK, I love your squirrel story!
ReplyDeleteBirdee, would you prefer the squirrels knock on your door to ask if the dogs can come out and play? ;)
FORETY!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Owls!
ReplyDelete~
Birdee-
Sounds like your squirrels are squatters. (and squatters have rights, you know. )
~
If I was you, I think I'd just name them and pretend their family.
(albeit family that stays way too long and trashes the place.:)
~
Congrats on your first blog and I also loved the video!
~
I wish I had those squirrels in the video. I would have them opening for Britney and her 'Circus' tour......or maybe she would be opening for us. ;)
~
Way to go IBB on 1st!
~
A huge {{{HUG}}} and "Hello" to all owls above me and all that drop in later!
~
Great day everyone! :) I'm off to chase squirrels! :)
corretion...'their' should have been 'they're.'
ReplyDeletecorrection,( I honestly know how to spell) and this is the last time I'm fixing anything. :)
ReplyDeleteSandi, Great,if Susan doesn't mind my "jumping her". lol!!
ReplyDeleteLynnd, I forget where you live?
Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone!
ReplyDeleteibb, Congrats on First!
Zona, Laugh it up! Ok by me. ;o)
Carol, Thanks for finding a vid to go with the blog♥ I like it!
I'm enjoying reading all your post's.
Thank you all for being so kind about my first blog. I was so nervous about it. You all write so much better and more interesting blog's than I can come up with. That's why it's taken me this long to send one to Carol.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Mary, a 10ft snake! Now that would really send me over the edge! LOL
so far, mine have been very small.
MEK, no poison frogs, just really big ugly one's, along with their babies! The squirrel's knocking on the door for peanut's! That's funny!
Lynn, The pigeon's pretty much leave us alone, but we do have duck's that love to walk around the neighborhood. The first year we were here, we had a momma duck lay her egg's in the flower bed out back. A freakin raccoon got to them. Pissed me off!
Sandie, If the squirrel's start knocking?? Oh Hell No!
jigglin, you crack me up! The squirrel's opening for Britney!
Thanks again!♥
I'm outtah here. I am taking my Niece Raquel shopping today. I noticed her tattered coat when I was with her in the hospital last week. Like I needed an excuse to shop lol!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day all, and my sympathy to all you getting hit with snow!
Sandie- the list sounds fine to me. I am going to be gone from July 3rd until 14th- and am too lazy to figure out the time frame of the necklace. I think this still works for me right???????? LOL
ReplyDelete50!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, Mary, I have a tattered coat. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, Goldie, you'll be near the end of May.
ReplyDeleteYep, Goldie, you'll be near the end of May.
ReplyDeleteLOL at poor Birdee and your wildlife willys! Perhaps a BB gun? And congrats... an excellent blog debut!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, IBB, Zona, HOdi, Tina, Lynn D, Carol, Goldie, Sandie, Mary Ellen, and JAX!
Two posts, Goldie, just to make sure you got it! LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't know why that always happens on my hubby's computer!!
MEK: I love the squirrels too! When I was about 12 I started feeding the squirrels around our house, and eventually tamed them to the point where they'd eat nuts out of my hand. It took a long time, though.
ReplyDeleteWOW...I work for a little while come back to 56 comments!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbout the necklace... Mary you can JUMP me anytime!!!!!!!!!!
So that means I get it after a cruise.. that is the closest i will ever come to going on a cruise... so I get a relaxed necklace!!!!
I almost forgot about our bears...
it is almost time for them to start coming around again...
my neighbors have built some fancy trash bin in their back yard...
i had to laugh...the bears will be in it in a nano second...
they are city people and don't realize they have moved into the bears neighborhood...
I hope to get pictures this year!!!
Waving a wing to all who have dropped in..
Birdee... OH MY... you are looking awful sexy today!!!!
Hey JAX...LONG time no see...
Hi hooters!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to all :)
Congrats to IBB for 1st today!
And congrats to Birdee for an awesome 1st blog! Yipee!!
I used to live on the outskirts of town, where it was zoned for horses, etc.
One night I came home fairly late. I had a couple roommates at the time, but no one was home.
I went to bed and started drifting off, and heard what sounded like someone trying to open the screen on my bedroom window.
I called 911 and reported that someone was breaking into my house. I was so panicked, and stayed on the phone with the dispatcher.
She told me when the police arrived, and I hung up.
Shortly after, there was a knock on the front door. It was 2 police officers, they informed me that my intruder was actually a raccoon trying to open one of the grates to get under the house.
They caught him red-handed, or red-pawed! LOL
Needless to say, I was pretty embarassed.
Sandie- I need the 2 posts. Somedays I need to be told 3 times for it to sink in!! :O)
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon to everyone.
ReplyDeleteI think you have done a great job in conveying your thoughts on your first blog BIRDEE. I wish I had an answer to your questions of what to do, but I do not. I have lots of wildlife in my back yard. The whole yard is not fenced due to the creek, however, there is a portion that is surrounded by another smaller fence which came about when one of my dogs had a confrontation with a skunk at 11PM! As far as the front yard, the deer love their snack bar.
SANDIE - The necklace with the list is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteZONA - I am glad you have mended.
I am waving to IBB, JODI, TINA, EUNCIE, LYNN, CAROL, GOLDIE, MARY, MEK, LYNN, JIGGLIN, BEAR & EBJ
ReplyDeleteBARB I hope you are enjoying your new kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHello, Lani!
ReplyDeleteOK, this link's for:
Birdee!
Birdee - Great blog.
ReplyDeleteIbebold - Congrats on first.
Zona - I have been worried about you but now I see you are getting better. I am so happy to see your name on the blog.
It is snowing today and I am busy making Hot Cross Buns. This is my first time to get at the computer. I have some blogs and comments to catch up on.
Birdee - I loved the video. We have a lot of grey squirrels too. We used to have cute little brown squirrels in Victoria but the grey ones took over. I used to think I had one grey squirrel that use to cross my driveway in the morning. Then I discovered there were at least a dozen living in my Douglas Fir tree. They stay way out of the reach of the dogs but they steal all the bird seed from the feeders. What a nuisance.
Have a great day everyone. I must get back to my Hot Cross Buns.
Birdee, I loved your blog! The subtle O2 Arena humor especially.
ReplyDeleteI live in an area where it's illegal to cut down an oak tree, so we have a large squirrel population. My dogs chase them but never catch them. I don't think they'd know what to do if they did. I keep plain pecans on hand. The squirrels run across the fence and wait for me to bring them their treats. I've only been slashed once. Their claws are sharp.
There are also blue jays who hop along the bar in my backyard and will take pecans directly from me. I already posted about the little duckies, and I once wrestled an eagle of some type (with a broken wing) into a dog crate - with leather gloves, of course.
The strangest "wildlife" I've ever seen though, was the neighbor's chihuahua walking on top of a 7 foot fence. It's just not something you expect to see. The little bugger used to get up there all the time and scared the crap out of me.
Life would be simpler without the animals, but not nearly as eventful. I'll put up with the inconveniences and enjoy the view.
guess I have too..
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Everyone!
ReplyDeleteJust got done with dinner.
Pork chops and yam's (sorry Mo..I think the chop's may have been distant relative's. I cooked them with care♥)
Whabby!!! LMAO!! @ that vid. How the heck did you find that?
Bonacci, A Chihuahua walking a fence? Now that I would like to see. They usually shake so much..how can he stay up there? LOL
Tink, I think the cutest squirrel's I've seen are the black one's. Until I had seen one, I had no idea there were any.
I think they knew I wrote about them..the majority of them seemed to be laying low today.
MEK, Congrat's on 69
Better get to the dishes...
Thanks everyone...I'm no longer a blog writing virgin!
aaahhhhhhhhh! Feel's good!
I guess between ibb's bear's and EBJ's raccoon's, the squirrel's aren't too bad.
ReplyDeleteI have had a couple of Bat's get into the house too. There is one tree close to the driveway and street that alot of Bat's like to hide in. When you walk by it they all start flying out. A few time's we've left the garage door open and they've gotten in there and then into the house. Talk about being scared.
Birdee, no foolin' about the chihuahua. His name's Archie. When the neighbors brought him home, he didn't like being alone during the day. He'd already met my 2 chihuahuas and was trying to come play. I never saw the entire process, but I know he climbed up a hot tub, then somehow managed to climb the rest of the way up an adjacent fence. Then he'd walk along the fence until he got noticed.
ReplyDeleteYou really question your sanity when you look out your kitchen window and see a dog on a fence. Your first instinct is to panic and run to the rescue. But you don't want to scare the bugger into losing his balance, so you remain calm. At least you try to appear calm. I'd pluck the little guy off the fence then keep him till the girls next door came home from work. I wish I'd had the foresight to snap a pic, but my main concern was getting the damn dog off the fence.
Sandie! Sandie!
ReplyDeleteMy hand is up in the air!
May I please join the list? Thank you!
Birdee I loved your blog today , it made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteIt kinda of reminded me of my ma. She is terribly allergic to cats. She tries very hard to stay away from them, but every house we go to that has a cat, jumps on her lap! lol
There is a squirrel that is always outside my classroom window. He sits on the ledge and watches my class. I like to think of it as my guardian squirrel, protecting me from something.
ReplyDeleteIBB Congrats on first today!
ReplyDeleteTina Congrats on being the first #7 today. LOL
Zona Glad you're feeling better.
Jax Great to see you today.
Birdee Excellent blog today. Kudos!
I have bird feeders so now I have two squirrels that come to my yard, a black one and a gray one. Yesterday, I looked out and saw the gray squirrel sitting on the top of one of the highest willow tree branches, holding a small branch in her hands, eating all the new leaf buds just as is she was eating corn on the cob. It was too funny!
Bonacci One of the veterinarians I work for has a very large dog and a couple of chihuahuas. Every time the big dog lays down, the little ones either, stand, sit or lay on top of him. LOL
JustLin; One of my chihuahuas (Ernie) is fat. I hate to put it that way but it's the truth. His nickname is Burrito. Sadie is only about 5 lbs and treats Ernie like a piece of furniture.
ReplyDeleteErnie puts up with all the abuse from Sadie. He's a cool dude. I just wish he'd give me a little more room on the bed at night. I never get a good night's sleep because I'm always perched on the edge. I know the answer is, "Who's the boss?" and I should move him, but I feel guilty waking the little guy up.
Oh, what about frogs? When I was little my brother and I caught about 20 of them and put 'em in a sack. We stopped at the market on the way home and Dad found out we had frogs. He told us not to let the damn things out... Then my sister, always the "good kid" screamed, "THEY'RE LOOSE!!" I truly thought my brother and I were going to die that day.
ReplyDeleteJL and Bonacci, when I worked for the vet clinic, there was a lady who came in who had a huge Rottweiler, and a tiny Chihuahau.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the little guy was the boss!!!
Iteach, neither of my parents were cat people. They liked my cats over the years, but Paula has really made them change the way they feel about cats.
She has always been pretty anti-social, but can sense when there is someone who isn't a kitty fan. She will go to that person and lay in their lap.
Just this past weekend, both my mom and dad were trying to coax Paula to come lay on their laps, it was really nice to see! They adore her, and she has turned them into kitty people!
MEK congrats on 69 today!
The area where we live now has lots of pigeons. I have met people who have hired pest removal, because the birds get into the attics and multiply.
BIRDEEEEEE!! YAY for your first bloggy! It was great...honestly! I can just picture you on guard duty...a little bird in a guards uniform flying around the backyard when the pups are out!! bwahaha
ReplyDeleteSquirels surely are squirely! My friend had a beautiful and expensive birdfeeder a couple of feet from her garage on a pole. She kept noting wood chips on the ground. She looked and half the feeder was eaten! She was thinking WTF. Then she saw it...a squirel spanning the distance from the garage and had its front paws on the feeder and was eating it away!!
I'm so glad you finally broke down and wrote a blog! You rock!
Hello and Happy Monday everybody! Don't forget Medium is on tonight, I hope it is a new one.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first IBB.
Birdee: Loved the video and loved the squirrel stories. They are crazy here too. I tried setting out bird feeders but I ended up just feeding the squirrels. They try and get in our house (the roof) in the winter too...oh, what a pain!
Bonacci I used to have a doberman who slept on the bed with me. She'd lay on her side and stiffen her legs, pushing me to the edge of the bed. LOL
ReplyDeleteJIGGLIN...sooooooooo happy to see you! I missssss you! ROFLMAO@ naming them! Is that kinda like the donkeys in your yard??? LOL!
ReplyDeleteBirdee, way to go, GREAT First BLOG!! woo hoo! :)
ReplyDeleteSandie: What do we do when we get the necklace, probably when I have it nothing interesting will happen. haha.
I thought I was part of the chain chain. Guess I'm not ;(
ReplyDeleteI even coined it the chain chain!
;(
Sandie Quick!!!! Get Mo on the Chain Chain!
ReplyDeleteBebbi Just have someone take a pic of you wearing the necklace while you're doing something, anything. : ) I guess we will share our pics via MS, right?
I think we should all take just a chest shot and then we can try to guess the chest!
ReplyDeleteWell, all of you on the chain chain that is ;(
Yes, via MS would be awesome. So how long do we keep the necklace? This is going to be fun!
ReplyDeleteGood evening everyone. I had a great time shopping with my niece Raquel. She was feeling wonderful. She thanks everyone who sent her good wishes during her illness.
ReplyDeleteAs usual I got carried away buying her stuff lol!
Sandi~we waited for you. Where were you? :+)
IBB~ thanks for letting me "jump" you!
Bebbi~ Thanks for reminding me about Medium. It's about the end of the world! Dang, no more can paymnts!
MO, I'll vouch for you!
ReplyDeleteDid you send Sandie your addy on myspace though?
Birdee, your blog really set the tone for a fun blogging day! I've enjoyed all the blogs I've read/seen here, but I'd love to see more from you.
ReplyDeleteJustLin: Doberman v chihuahua. No contest. The doberman gets the bed and I'll sleep on the floor.
Years ago I was dating a very dignified lawyer while housing 4 small dogs of my own and 2 of his. We were um, intimate one night, and one of my dogs did what most curious dogs would do. To be blunt, my lawyer friend got a very cold, very wet nose to his balls. He became very embarassed and insulted, while I couldn't stop laughing hysterically. It's absolutely the most fun I've ever had in bed without the Big O.
Bonacci~ROTF!! Any pics? ;-)
ReplyDeleteDang, it's almost 9:00, Medium time, and I haven't cleaned the kitchen!

ReplyDeleteMO!! I'm so sorry--you did tell me to put you on the list!! Please forgive me. You're on it now! I'll tell you as it gets closer who you mail it to--you can give that person your address.
ReplyDeleteiteach--I see your hand! I've put you on the list.
Bebbi, do whatever with the necklace! Just write a blog about what you did with it and pictures/video would be great.
Mo,you crack me up lol!
ReplyDeleteokay poop!!! I know I said I wanted in on the necklace before I left for Vegas....didn't i? :(
ReplyDeleteBirdee~ Your first blog was a hoot~ I just got to watch the video....that scared me...just a little~ :)~ Great job~!
IBB~ congrats on first~
Mary~ can you even believe this....i didn't gamble at all....not one penny....not a single slot! :)~
Carol~ i missed you too...you made me blush~ (and not the wine!) :)~
Boy, Sandi & Bebbi my mind went right to the gutter in regards what to do with the necklace and then talk of a video with it on.
ReplyDeleteOMG...little poopin' birdee wrote a blog. I love it, I love it, I love it. I'm just glad you are not entertainig the animals in Africa and sticking to your own backyard. Btw, do you think Boz, Ruby, and Pepper will need therapy when your little furry friends get through with them this summer? Or maybe you?
ReplyDeleteCongrats ibb on first.
I've been MIA for a while and miss all you Owls. Hopefully, my extra
cirricular activities called work and family will slow down soon and I can get back to having fun time with some of my favorite people. I've been missing all of you.
Guess I better go check and see what's hiding in my trees
G'night.....
(that was for you, birdeeee) Ha!
iteach~ guess what the ladies who bought "the necklace" did with it on? :)~
ReplyDeleteHi ROnniE~ :D
RONNIE...RONNIE...RONNIE...is that really you????????
ReplyDeleteTINA...how did the son do in his Lacrosse tourney??
MARY...I was getting a complex!! Feel so much better now!
Bonacci: ROFLMAO at your query over on the Rossblog about what demographic NBC is going after!!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely not you, honey!
Whoops, I meant CBS!
ReplyDeleteiteach, you really have to quit hanging around Tinaho lol!
ReplyDeleteTinaaaaa! I can't believe you didn't touch my slots! Mr Mary would have to have been roped and tied not to have gambled!
Hello, Ronniegirl! WB!
ReplyDeleteMO We should just take a chest shot while wearing the necklace? Would that be with or without clothes on? LOL And then we could try to guess who is who? LMAO!
ReplyDeleteWHABBear!!
ReplyDeleteRaquel sent you a special "hi"
Hi Ronnie! Been fishing lately? :)
ReplyDeleteKewl, thanks Mary! I'll check it out!
ReplyDeleteAlso, iteach: If you REALLY want to go into the necklace gutter, than
THIS
is for you!!
Tina, you're on the list. I'm sorry. I was counting myspace people and forgot about the ones who told me on the blog.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else I missed? It's okay, we can always add people as we go.
Oh, I so love Whabby!
ReplyDeleteBear I don't think I'd want one of those on my chest. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteMary/MI; I'd give just about anything to have a pic or video of the "moment of discovery". I am an evil person who takes great delight in the humiliation of both myself and others.
ReplyDeleteAt first my lawyer friend was "surprised" until he realized he'd just been violated by a poodle. The poodle in question was looking at him with a "what'd I do?" expression while the lawyer was naked, yelling and screaming about me and my damn dogs.
I was laughing my arse off, which caused the three dogs not involved in the hideous violation to become excited and start barking. Then the other two dogs started howling outside the bedroom door. This of course, woke the entire house up and along with the two howling dogs, came three curious pre-teen girls.
So we had a naked, pissed-off lawyer, one poodle who was trying very hard to figure out what he'd done wrong, three other barking lapdogs, two howlers, three girls and me, laughing like the village idiot. It's the best sex I never had.
good heavens...there's a blizzard goin' on outside....i didn't even know it was going to snow~
ReplyDeletebonacci~ I would even take your kind of sex~ ijs~
Mary~ I understand the Mr....it would be like me going to the scrapbook expo and not buying anything~
Mo~ they lost the first game, won the second, tied the third, and lost the fourth...but you should see his hair....they always bring the clipper with them on the trip, and my son chose to go with the monk look! omg!!! and instead of fixing it for school tomorrow, he wants to go like that! Whose kid is he?! :D
thanks sandie~
OMG! Did anybody watch DWTS?
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ i did~
ReplyDeleteTina A bit of a surprise there, huh?
ReplyDeletelol....oh....at first i was...huh? what are you talking about!! I guess I didn't know who was supposed to be on it, so it didn't surprise me~ I liked Sex and the City boy~ yummy~
ReplyDeleteWhabbear, OMG Where do find this stuff!! (necklace).
ReplyDeleteBTW, I meant Raquel asked me to relay the "hi" lol!
I had no intention of watching DWTS this season, but I did and now I am hooked...again!!
ReplyDeleteOne particular dancer had me in hysterics! Another one looked like a board dancing! And the surprise last minute entrant...awesome!!!
Tina Well, she's a replacement just within the last couple of days so it is a surprise.
ReplyDeleteBonacci,
ReplyDeleteThat comment was "priceless" so funny, and btw, did he ever comeback for seconds...
Oh, crap, porn...
MO,
ReplyDeleteMe too, I did not want to watch and then I did, and now I want to watch more... I am a reality show addict, I wounder if there are meetings for such addictions.,..
Carol~ always with the porn....how 'bout you give that up for lent! :)~
ReplyDeleteMo and J/L~ i really didn't plan on watching it either.....but now I gotta...and I gotta vote too....for Jewel's hubby...i really like him~
J/L,
ReplyDeleteI watched it, and I liked it..
I am like Mikey.. remember the

You can take a picture with you in the necklace, and write a short caption, then send it to me via my e-mail. I will post the pictures on the main page of the blog. If you send a vid, I will post it at the end of the daily blog..
ReplyDeletecpgem88@gmail.com
Oh my goodness, Ronnie was here too..
ReplyDeleteHi Ronnie, waving madly with both arms and both legs.. oops legs went to high and I let one rip.. Sorry..
Still waving tho...
Birdee, you hottie..
ReplyDeleteEveryone came out for your blog. You must feel like the Princess of birds, that is until you poop, then you must only feel relieve.. like Ahhhh, now that was a good one..
:O)
Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhen I get the necklace can I do what the ladies did?
My mother is afraid of squirrels, she screams when she sees them on the deck and than bangs on the door with a spoon, they totally run for cover..
ReplyDeleteI never said my mother was not crazy..
carol~ yes.....but you need your SSO's help! :)~ AND you have to give up porn for lent! :D
ReplyDeleteOh, Tina, Please I don't think I can, can I give it up next year, as that will give me a whole year to prepare..
ReplyDeleteMy SSO is always ready and willing to help..
Which reminds me, the charmer texted me today.. and I answered his txt only once tho...
I ignored his second txt..
ReplyDeleteGood for me..
:O)
OK, I am off to bed...
ReplyDeleteSee ya all tomorrow..
I hope I dream of porn, as Tina might make me give it up for lent...
Bonacci, I love your sick mind lol!
ReplyDeleteTina, we are getting rain up the wazoo! Our rivers are overflowing. Our yard and driveway is a mess! Mr Mary had to hook up his truck and drag my nieces car out of the soft lawn. She didn't want to plug anybody in so she parked off to the side. Mr Mary did a little mumbling under his breath! Now we have a large area to fill in. I should say 2, my son made another huge rut! Guess what we are doing tomorrow lol!
Goodnight Carol! Happy porn dreams!
ReplyDeleteCarol, of course he came back for seconds! I enjoyed torturing him for 2 years. It's my contribution to society at large for all the crap lawyers put us through.
ReplyDeleteyikes mary~
ReplyDeleteno porn starting friday, carol!~
goodnight everyone~ :D
Good Evening...anyone still awake? Heck, it's only 10:52 on the West coast (and this means Arizona right now too).

ReplyDeleteHmnmm, I wonder if TINA is sending that snow over to me? She usually does but this winter has been different and it takes a crooked path and misses us. They keep telling us that it is going to snow and then it turns out blue sky and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI was glad to see some of you watched DWTS..you all know me and reality shows. I was so excited to see the last surprise dancer tonight and thought that person did pretty darn good for only a couple of days! TINA: Did you vote for Ty Murray? I wasn't all the impressed with him but then I am not crazy about his wife either.
BIRDEE: Good job on your first blog today. I don't think I want to live where many of you live with all the animals and bats, etc. We have rabbits and squirrels but not trying to get in our house. I guess that is another reason I live in the cooler areas...too cold for lizards and things. We do have some Prarie Dogs in fields. Anyway, great job BIRDEE. ps You look kind of cold in your new avatar!
ReplyDeleteTINA: Glad you had a good trip and your son won a game. Did you ever start feeling any better? I don't think I would/could go to Vegas and not do slot machines...the thing is...I want to find MARY'S SLOTS!!!
ReplyDeleteDianne I'm here! I'm with you, I want to find Mary's slots, too! She knows how to pick 'em.
ReplyDeleteJustlin & Diane/Den You two are true
ReplyDelete"Hooters" lol!! Stay away from my private slots!
It is after 2am here. Time for me to fold in my wings and sleep!
We are supposed to get more rain tomorrow. Anyone have a canoe, ark, or a pontoon I can borrow?
Sweet dreams all, incl. my lovely lurkers :+)
Good night Mary. Sweet dreams of hot slots. :)
