  1. Carol, I loved my ride to work with you in the rain. I was just wondering how in the world you ever find your way back anf forth with all those turns.

Actually I love rainy mornings, but I only saw one cup of caw-fee. I guess I have to bring my own, huh?

You are such a Sweetie for donating the video, it will make me keep a smile :) on my face all day.

No kidney for me....but you already gave me part of your heart, so I'm good to go.

Have to run, need to leave for work, but I'll be back tonight. Thank you again for remembering me.

  2. Let me repeat.....First....
but Carol will have to tell you I cheated. It still counts in the 'Book Of Records' that Shirley is keeping.

See everyone later and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

    Ronnie

  3. Morning Glories!

Oh Sure I stop to put medicine in the dogs ear and Ronnie flys into first! Congrats Ronnie! So good to see you! I would give you a kidney.

Carol I love seeing your drive to work. I am a little weird as I love to see other parts of the country but I love to see towns and cities and the houses and how people live. I find it fascinating. So thank you for the ride!

PS I could not read the license plate but now I am dying to know what it said!

Ibb, did you have a bear free night?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hey Lynn, I'm a little weird like that too. I so like to see other's hometown's. I especially like to look at the older home's. Remind's me of the big old house I lived in growing up.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Actually Birdee ..NO...I got home from work at 10:30... every exterior light was on and Mr IBB was up on the deck... he said... "The bear is across the street.. hurry up get in the house..."
I moved real fast .. it was kinda funny!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Birdee.. to funny... Sopranos...

Morning JODI.. enjoy your day with friends...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Morning Birdee, IBB, and Jodi!

IBB how weird you living with a bear! I would be worried sick!

Birdee my favorite part of a drive is driving through small towns.

Jodi have fun with your friends today!

From area 51: Tina don't know how effective I would have been but I would gladly throw my cellphone at the arguing pair! LOL I would probably say something and then they would come after us.

Dianne in Denver where are you? I keep forgetting to let you know that I did eat all of the candy and all by myself! Yes it made me feel better.

Bonacci worm farms good description. That is part of the reason I have not been on Myspaz in awhile. Seems everytime I do I end up with something on my computer.

Ok must get more coffee. This week is going to be busy!

    ReplyDelete
  18. LynnD.. I have to keep telling myself that I moved into HIS neighborhood!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Good morning LynnD, IBB, Birdee, Jodi, Carol, Ronnie and all the late morning Hooters.

What a wonderful drive, Carol. Maybe you could put some velcro tape on your dashboard and the bottom of your flip; then you could just mount/remove it and take us on all kinds of field trips! With cawfee, of course.

    Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Happy monday!!

RONNIE - YEAH - congrats on FIRST.. and GOOD TO SEE YOU..

I have to fly in quickly - we are off to have Mr. MEK's bandages removed........

    BUT -

    I must say -

ITEACH - I can NOT print the words i would like to say about that woman in church....... so - just know that i am appaulded.... and shaking my head........

    IBB - BE SAFE!!!!!!!

  22. Good morning (just a few minutes left here on the east coast) Ronnie, LynnD, IBB, Birdee, Jodi, Bonacci, MEK and EBJ!

Congrats on first, Ronnie, and great to see you!

Carol, I loved the ride to work this morning! But ummm, I hope the flip camera made the drive seem faster than it really was .... otherwise, you scared the Birdee-poop out of me!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Good Morning Hooters!

Congrats on 1st Ronnie- and so good to see you again!

Thanks for the ride to work today, but like Jodi, I had my foot on the brake! Have fun today JODI.

Thanks for the 25 IBB. You have a bear- I have a coyote. Yes, in the city. We have lots of greenspace and wooded parks. Apparently one has taken up sleeping under the neighbors (4 houses away) pine tree. They are worried about their new (9 weeks and sooooo cute) black lab puppy. It seems that said coyote has already killed and abscounded with several small dogs in the region. YIKES

Hope everyone has a good day and that the sun shines where you are..:)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Goldie.. I will keep my bear.. coyotes scare me...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Damn Carol!

With all those right turns couldn't you just pull outta your garage hang a left and be at work? Seems like there was a lotta right turns. LOL.

Sorry I been away, was sick and work has been crazeeeeeee~

Ronnie nice to see ya lady.

Ok off to start my day.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ATTENTION K-MART SHOPPERS:

The traveling necklace has left the building.

I took it to the post office, and it's on it's way to IBJ.

It should arrive in 2-3 days!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thoughts and wishes to the people of Italy~

    ReplyDelete
  28. Kgrl, I heard from my Italian cohorts about 5 hours after the quake. All the people I know are in the north and they're fine. The citizens aren't too happy, though.

It seems this quake was predicted with some degree of accuracy. About 3 weeks ago a physicist told the area in and around l'aquila to vacate and the government censored him because he was causing a panic. What, I wonder, does the government think is happening now? People joyfully skipping down the streets throwing confetti?

    ReplyDelete
  29. bonacci:

I have a couple of geologist friends here and they too said that area was "waiting to happen" in a conversation we had last week. Out 7.2 that we experienced a few years back was pretty weird, but luckily we had no major destruction and no deaths.

I hope that the government listens now....tho I am sure not everyone would have left on his advice...but if even one death could have been prevented.

    From Area 51:

    Bear....Yeaster really? ewwwww

Tina: I so agree that Eva Cassidy does that song better justice than Christine did.

I just saw Mick Fleetwood last Thursday (he lives on Maui and did a couple of gigs with his blues band) and that man still rocks!!! He did a drum solo that went on for 15-20 minutes.

    ok back to work.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd be skeptical of a quake prediction. But if CERN was literally in my backyard and someone came to me with a prediction, I'd at least get a consensus.

I tell people I don't really like Europe because all they do there is eat, drink and look at old S@#t. They just can't let go of their landmarks, no matter how many people they may kill. This has happened over and over but they still don't get it.

As for the guy who Italy insists just got lucky, he should go buy a lottery ticket, walk his dog on the autostrat, then do a nice swan dive off Pirelli Tower into a jacuzzi because he's the luckiest SOB alive.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ronnie Yay for you being first today! So apropos!

IBB Yikes, at having to run into the house due to the bear. I bet your car has good pizza smells coming out of it, too. Hey, don't let the bear wear the Traveling Necklace! ;)

LynnD I'm dying to know what the license plate said, too.

Birdee I wasn't breaking but I was starting to get a little car sick by the end. LOL

Hodi I hope you have a great time with your friends today.

Bonacci I guess you have a point about Europe's landmarks, but what a shame to lose them completely.

Kgrl LMAO @ why Carol doesn't just make one right turn!

Carol So, anyway........Love going on car trips with you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. CAROL - Your ride to work was great. Maybe you could do a spin off series called Cawfee Tawk w/ Carol on SNL.

Good Afternoon RONNIE, LYNN, IBB, BIRDEE, JODI, MEK, EBJ, SANDIE, BONACCI & KGIRL & ALL who fly in later. Have a wonderful day.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LYNN - I don't think you are weird. I love to see and hear about other parts of the country and world and see how they live. I love to hear peoples life stories.

IBB - Is this a black bear or a brown bear? How many are there? Does the county ever relocate them?

JODI - Wishing you a good time this afternoon.

MEK - I hope Mr MEK has healed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. EBJ - I am keeping good thoughts for Paula's appetite.

GOLDIE - That coyote better stay away from the new puppy. There are coyotes in the hills here and it is just heartbreaking when they take someone's pet. I know it is because we have invaded their territory.

    K-girl - LOL @ make a right turn.

    ReplyDelete
  35. SLIN - I see you just slipped in.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I had to leave and go to work for a bit. So now I will continue my long-ass port.

MEK I hope everything is going well for Mr. MEK.

Goldie A coyote! Yikes! Be careful. Gee, all I have is a pesty hawk and a couple of squirrels. Even the raccoons haven't been around for quite a while.

EBJ How's Paula doing? We've had such beautiful weather now rain expected for tomorrow. Oh, well, we can always use a little rain.

Slan Good afternoon. When are we doing our next puzzle?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I guess that would be my long-ass post as probably nobody cares about my long-ass port. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  38. And yes... I am telling..

Cause Ronnie cheaqted on first, she took a crash course offered my Mo, it took her a while but she caught on..

    Shirley...
You can put in your notes that she was first, but please put that she cheaqted cause that is the right thing to do..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Suddenly, a little bird ran across the deck and grabbed a spider and started to eat it. As it was eating it, some of the spider's legs fell off. I am so totally grossed out that I just had to share. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am sorry if I made some of you dizzy, when I watched the vid I got dizzy too...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ronnie will have to have an asterisk by her "First" total, like they do in baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  42. J/L..
Good idea.. if you are gonna cheaqt, than you must pay the piper..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Carol How many syllables does Ronnie put in the word "cawfee"?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Lynnd...
You are not weird at all, I enjoy seeing other parts as well.. I live in a area that is not wide open spaces, all the houses are old and close together.. It is really like NYC.. houses on top of houses, and store after store, I pass two large supermarkets on my way to work, and it takes me 7 minutes to drive to my office from my house..

I am so a city girl..

    ReplyDelete
  45. IBB...

OMG.. I would have freaked out.. A bear.. You sure it was not Whabby?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Carol Did you see Kgrl's commment to you about all your right hands turns? So funny!

    ReplyDelete
  47. JodiHo!

Sorry, it did seem like I was going fast, but I really wasn't..

Its weird to flip and drive.. I would do it again tho, as I had a blast..

    ReplyDelete
  48. J/L..
No not yet.. I am working on it tho..

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think on LA freeways, they do a different kind of flipping.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Birdee...

A soprano.. LOL.. we have lots of them all around.. Just down the street from where I was driving, where the car (which was a cab) was in front of me and I panned down.. Is where the Frankie Valli clan grew up..

    ReplyDelete
  51. J/L..

    LOL.. flipping..

OMG.. I felt so bad that you can see the persons lic plate in front of me..

    Oh well.. :O)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bonacci...

What a great idea.. I then can take you guys with me everyday!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Mek..

Hope all went well w/Mr Mek..

    ReplyDelete
  54. Carol Their license plate was too far away and we couldn't read it. Water on the windshield would have made it difficult even if it was closer. So, anyway........no worries.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Carol: That was fun!

Ronniegirl: Congrats on first and congrats on the "donation"! haha

    ReplyDelete
  56. Turtle..

Nope sorry, need lots of right turns to get to work.. its city driving at its finest..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Turtle..

You crawled right in there.. and they say Turtles are slow. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  58. J/L..

Oh good glad you could not see it.. I hardly made it out as well..

    ReplyDelete
  59. had to grab that niner for old times sake....lol.

I have to give it to the US Postal Service... JodiHO sent me something from WESconsin on Friday and it arrived today. That's alot of miles over a weekend.

    Thanks JodiHO~

    ReplyDelete
  60. Turtle..

Yes, our thoughts are with the ppl from Italy... my business partner new some ppl that lived in the area of the quake, but he reached out for them and all are fine..

    ReplyDelete
  61. Carol So horrible about the quake in Italy. I'm so glad your business partner's friends are okay, many are not.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Kgrl Congrats on 69! Yes, just like old times. :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Turtle..

    Oops.. forgot to say..

Congrats on 69.. hope you enjoyed..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Birdee...

Could you watch it a 3rd time???

    LOL...

    ReplyDelete
  65. EBJ...

So fun.. the traveling necklace is on its way to IBB's..

    Turtle...
I think the Post Office is so slow.. perhaps they are just slow on the east coast.. when I mailed the traveling necklace to Bebbi it took 4 days to get there..

    ReplyDelete
  66. ok... I chatted enough.. I am tired of hearing me..

    See ya all later..

    DWTS..2nite..

    ReplyDelete
  67. Happy Monday Owls. I am late again, but I am here.

Carol, I loved taking the ride to work with you. You passed a big white house on a corner that looked like my grandparent's house on Long Island. That house is still in the family. I didn't think you drove fast at all, but then I tend to be lead footed myself.

I am cracking up watching Oprah. She is talking to Moms about the things they were never told about having children. These women are funny, and I can identify with everything they are saying.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Carol, I can't wait to listen to you video downstairs. For whatever reason the computer upstairs doesn't have sound.

Busy day! Carolyn somehow scratched her eyeball and she has been in a lot of pain. You can actually see the scratch. We went to the doctor and he gave us eye drops.

We finally got her to take some medicine with orange soda. My boys have always loved their medicine but not Miss Carolyn.

It is hard to watch her be in so much pain. The pain medicine has kicked because she is smiling again. So now we get to do the drops.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Ronnie, So good to see you here and at first, too.

IBB, so sorry the bear is back.

Birdee, LOL @ seeing a Soprano on Carol's route to work.

MEK, Hope Mr. MEK is all healed.

Goldie, A coyote is scary. I heard an odd clip clop noise outside today and looked out the window to see Bambi strolling down the street. I live on a dead end steet across from the American River and we see river animals all the time, but this is the first time I have seen a deer. It must have come down the levee and through the park at the end of the street. My neighbor called the Park Dept. to come and get it. They said "no!"

    ReplyDelete
  70. Carol, I will confess something about your driving.... it didn't bother me at all. I was the kid in the back seat, staring out the window and looking at the cool new place. You could have gunned it over a ramp, and through the open door of a moving train. I wouldn't have noticed.

    ReplyDelete
  71. sacBarb, they wouldn't rescue Bambi? Isn't anyone worried he'll get hurt? Does it happen often?

MEK, I was unaware that Mr. MEK had been sick/hurt/operated on or whatever happened to him. I hope he's doing okay; maybe that'll give you a break too.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Bonacci, I don't know why they wouldn't rescue Bambi. Some of the neighbors have seen deer on rare occasions, but this was a first time for me and I have lived here 40 years. We took a walk on the levee this afternoon and we didn't see any sign of the deer so we hope the Mom found him or her.

    ReplyDelete
  73. RONNIE...congrats on first! And how fun to have a blog donated to you ;)

CAROL...I can't watch the vid, but from what I gather, you drive rather like a maniac!!!

BONACCI...have you heard of Sulmona or Bugnara? They are in the L'aquila region but I can't figure out how close to the quake. I visited some people there a few years ago. I am worried for them and since I don't speak Italian and they don't speak English I will have to email them. Hopefully they will repsond quickly.

JUST LIN...we get so many deer around here. They are beautiful...until they dash in front of the car!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oops...SACBARB has Bambi, not JUST LIN.

    ReplyDelete
  75. 'Ello 'Ello!!

CPGEM: I liked driving with you in the rain. I felt totally safe, and I enjoyed the view. I'm another "so anyway-er"..I didn't even notice you saying it! Thanks for taking us with you, RONNIE and your cawfee today!

RONNNIIIEE! Congrats on FIRST! It sure does count..anyway you can get it! ;)

LYNND: I loved seeing the houses too. I'm so used to ranch style..

BIRDEE: LOL..next time CPGEM will have to warn you so you can take a dramamine!!

IBB: I know I would still think of that bear as "Teddy"...

    ReplyDelete
  76. JODI: :D

ITEACH: I hope Carolyn heals quickly..so hard to see a little one hurting.

SACBARB: Now ya did it..I'm going to be worried about Bambi..poor baby.

MEK: I want send my healing wishes to Mr. MEK too..

GOLDIE: We see coyotes all the time in the foothills. They are scary and I know they do go after small dogs. I wish that the builders would think more before they put housing developments right on top of these animal's natural habitat.

EBJ: Could you then send the rain this way? Thanks!

    J/LIN: LOL@ long ass port..

Waving HI to MO, KGRL, SANDIE, BONACCI, LANI and BEBBI!

Special shout out to JAX, DIANNE, TINKA and VIG..thinkin' bout ya..

    ReplyDelete
  77. TINA: I thought of your son's friends as soon as I heard about the quake..I hope they are all OK.

I hope everyone has a great Monday night...

    ReplyDelete

Can't remember who asked how many syllables Ronnie puts in the word Cawfee.....but I would like to know how long it takes her to say the whole word!!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  83. CAROL: Very fun ride to work with you. By the time I get up and watch this, you probably already had your ride home....never boring!! Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ok my Canadian friends- we got a scare today.. a student pilot in Thunder Bay, Ontario apparently stole an airplane an flew over us! Hence, our Capitol was evacuated and now the last report says he is by St. Louis, MO. Whats up with tha shit??LOL I always thought Canada was a NICE place to live, why is he trying to escape???

    ReplyDelete
  85. Zona, I'm sorry I worried you. I'm sure Bambi is OK. Is that better?

    ReplyDelete
  86. YAY.. Great news..

Birdee watched the vid for the 3rd time.. ya know what they say..

    "3rd time is a charm"

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  87. Again, I thought the video was a blast.

Poor Carolyn. I hope her eye is better tomorrow.

I usually keep up on the news, but not so much the last few days. I didn't realize how hard the earthquake hit in Italy. My thoughts are with them.

    ReplyDelete
  88. JAX...

Double YAY.. you found us.. :O)

How the heck are you typing with your broken wrist? Do you have a
secret typing thingamajig you are using..????

    ReplyDelete
  89. iteach..

Sorry Carolyn is hurting.. I am sure its breaking your heart.. I am sure tho the drops will help..

    Kisses and Hugs for Carolyn..
    ♥♥♥

    ReplyDelete
  90. Dianne...

You are correct, I am home..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Tina...

When I glimpsed your comment and saw "don't tell Carol" I skipped right over it.. I did not even read it, cause I knew it was a secret..

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  92. Jax..

Not me, no way am I giving my kidney away.. especially to a Texan you happens to love fisherman.. which we all know, some fisherman kinda smell fishy.. and there is no way I want my kidney to smell fishy..

    No way!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Bonacci...
"kid in the back seat" LOL.. well then next time, I will be sure to put a car seat in the back just for you..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Mo,
I can ask my business partner where those places are in regards to the quake, he is really knowledgeable about Italy.. Not that Bonacci is not tho..

    and

No, I really don't drive crazy, I just think the flip makes it seem that way.. at least that is what I think..

    ReplyDelete
  95. Mo, sulmona and bugnara are both just a little closer to l'aquila than Rome is, except Rome is on the west coast. I'm told that the world is seeing only the worst. Outside of l'aquila it's not so bad. Still, if I knew someone in sulmona or bugnara, I'd want to reach out with at least an e-mail. It's just after 4:00 a.m. there, so if you send it now, they might receive/respond in a few hours. I hope they're okay. I wouldn't doubt they'll have a case of nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  96. MO: I Google Earthed it..Sulmona is an hour and 12 minutes from L'Aguila..and Bugnara is an hour and 5 minutes away. I'm sure though that Bonacci can give you more precise distances because Google Earth tends to take the long route. If you want to check it out just go to Google Maps and plug in both names.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Ooops! I should have refreshed! I see that Bonacci has answered MO...sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Bonacci! I tried to find you on Myspace earlier. I had no luck.

Then again, I may have done it wrong.

Send an invite to eastbayjm if you want!

Iteach I hope Carolyn's eye is better. That sounds painful.

Tina, is it your kids that are going to Italy? How did I miss that? Is it with school or??

    Zona, I LOVE Google maps!!

I've been using the maps a lot lately while we've been looking at houses for my mother in law.

Some of the MLS listings don't have pictures, so I can see the house. Also use it to see what kind of neighborhood the house is in.

    It comes in very handy!

  99. Carol, I think you give me too much credit. I get lost each and every time I travel. Come to think of it, I get lost when I walk my dogs. I suck at that stuff. Hey, instead of the carseat, can I just lay spread-eagle on the roof and see how long I can hold on? I'll wear a helmet!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Geez.. we have so many smart owls here.. so amazing..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  101. Goldie..

Maybe this hijacker wants out of Canada for some reason.. Maybe he is on the "lamb" Kinda scary tho..

    ReplyDelete
  102. Bonacci...
You certainly can, however if you fall your on your own, cause I have to get to work.. LOL..

    ReplyDelete
  103. SACBARB: It's ok...you know I would worry regardless. If mama Bambi came out of the woods and took baby Bambi by the hoof...I'd still worry if they got home safely. That's just me...that's the way I roll. :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. I finally got home and thanks for all the welcome-backs.

Had some things to do after work and then dinner at my daughters.

Watched the video again and I'm still wondering how you find your way to work everyday.

If I haven't told you all, it's soooo good to see you again.

    ReplyDelete
  105. iteach I'm so sorry about Carolyn's eye. I hope it heals up soon.

MO Actually, we get the occasional deer in this neighborhood, too, but not today. :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. ibb~ please be careful with that bear. I remember last spring he got very brave in your neighborhood.

Really sorry to hear about the earthquake in Italy, and hope all loved ones and friends are safe.

  107. Goldie, many years ago, we in the L.A. area were blessed by a character who is now known as Lawnchair Larry. He tied a bunch of helium-filled weather balloons to a lawnchair to see what would happen. Armed with some beer and a pea-shooter, he set in for the ride. Some time later a pilot who was indeed, flying a plane, reported "some guy in a lawnchair" outside his window. Poor Larry had risen so high, he was afraid to use his pea-shooter to deflate the balloons. Larry was charged with an FAA airspace violation.

    ReplyDelete
  110. J/L Thanks ever so much for the kidney beans. You're so generous. Ha! Well Carol won't give me hers either.

LynnD, my sweet friend, said she would share, so I know I'll be okay.

  111. BONACCI and CAROL...thanks for the info. I googled it and Sulmona is 31 miles away. I did send a message on Facebook, so maybe by tomorrow I will have word. My friend did call our friends there and thankfully, Sulmona and Bugnara had minimal damage and everyone is safe. It did shake them up for a long time and they were scared, but no one was hurt.

Have you ever been there? It is so beautiful. And Sulmona has the best cumbet factory!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Just dropping back in to tell everyone 'Hello', and to say I feel like I've come home.

But I do want to say that I hope my dear sweet friend, Jax, feels better. Btw, I luv ya and wish I could take some of your pain away. If you're reading....go to bed. K?

  113. Good night everyone, sleep tight.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thank you again, Carol, for the fun video. Maybe someday we really CAN ride together.

    ReplyDelete
  115. G'night RONNIE...so good to have you back! Let us tuck you in tonight! Sweet dreams! :)

    ReplyDelete
  116. Thank you Zona. Good night to you and sweet dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  117. HA, Carol, don't even try it....ijs.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Mo, if I've been to either one of those cities, I don't know it. The reason I got to know people in Italy is because I was working ground support for a european car rally. We were (Surprise!) lost somewhere in the Italian Alps. We met a university professor who agreed to guide us back to where we were supposed to be in exchange for letting him drive a cool car. We got on well and now he and his wife are clients as well as friends.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ronnie..

Home, sweet word.. did you ever find that family that likes fish? cause that could be your next home..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Yeah, I finally got to listen to the video.

Wow, what a lot of houses and cars.

I also didn't see any tractors in the road like I encounter. lol

    ReplyDelete
  121. Ronnie..

Who the heck are you kidding, get your but off that couch and get back
    home..

    ReplyDelete
  122. Ronnie...

If we ever drive together, I am driving.. you my friend will be in the passenger seat all buckled up..
Just in case we hit a bump in the road I don't want you to go flying..

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  123. Carol thank you so much for your video today! I so enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Iteach..

Yes lots of cars and houses, all squished in together.. City life at its finest..

and no, no tractors. actually tractors are only allowed on certain highways here in NJ.. And those are the highways I try to avoid, tractors scare the crap out of me..

    ReplyDelete
  125. To everyone..

Are tractors allowed on all your highways or only certain ones, like in NJ?????

    ReplyDelete
  126. Carol I've never thought about it before. I certainly never see tractors on the freeway! They are way too slow. I think they have to be transported to whereever they are going to be working. I'm referring to construction type not farm. I never see farm type either.

    ReplyDelete
  127. J/L..

I knew I had not a chance of being last, just thought I would give it a try tho...

Maybe then tractors are not allowed on certain freeways in your area..

    ReplyDelete
  128. I should clarify.. when I say

Tractor, I mean Tractor Trailor, those big jobbers that haul stuff, not a tractor that is on a farm.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Carol, Tractors are not allowed on CA freeways unless they are on a transport vehicle, as J/L said. If they were wheels down on the freeway, they would most certainly get run over or, at the very least, shot at!

    ReplyDelete
  130. OK, I'm not sure what a tractor trailer is.

    ReplyDelete
  131. good evening....
HOW EXCITING .. the Necklace Is Headed My Way!!!!

Iteach... Hope little Carolyn's eye is better very soon... keep those pain meds in her... those little eyes hurt so bad ...(but make sure you give her stuff to keep her unplugged... pain meds can plug you up... so grapes and apple juice are real good now!!!)

Carol.. I live in a farming community.. so tractors are everywhere!!! They are not allowed on the interstate...but every other highway... but the law is if they get a line of cars behind them they have to pull over and let you by..I think it like 5 or more cars...

Sweet dreams Ronnie.. it was good seeing you today... the bear has already torn down the gate the other night...

    ReplyDelete
  132. How funny... I thought you meant farm tractor...
    Tractor trailer=18 wheeler!!
    no restrictions in Va...

    ReplyDelete
  133. Hi everybody ..

I'm trying to get caught up..

    I think cpgem means..

    semi trucks.......(right??!!)..

    ReplyDelete
  134. Lani.. Black bear... last year we had as many as 3 at a time... and they do not re-locate them ..as we moved into their neighborhood...
they range in size from 150 pounds to 300... the one the other night was about a 200 pounder!!

    ReplyDelete
  135. Hey MEK... Everything ok with my favorite BIL...???

    ReplyDelete
  136. Mek...

I don't know if I mean semi truck???

I always called them tractor trailors..

Ya know like the ones that deliver to your supermarket or walmart.. big trucks like that, what are they called?

    ReplyDelete
  137. J/L, I just heard that they found the body of that 8 year old girl that was missing from Tracey. Very sad.

    ReplyDelete
  138. IBB: Are you kidding me? You live with bears? I don't know if a bear s#@ts in the woods, but I sure would if I saw a bear.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Carol, I think those are semi trucks and they are allowed on our freeways, but they can only have a maximum of two trailers and their load cannot exceed 80,000 lbs. They also cannot go over 55 mph.

IBB, when I was in VA a few years ago the trucks scared the crap out of me when I was driving on the Highway. I was also surprised that they could haul many trailers.

    ReplyDelete
  140. SacBarb That is so horrible about that poor little girl, her body shoved in a suitcase. I hope someone kills the b*st*rd that did that.

    ReplyDelete
  141. SacBarb.. stay off I-81.. they are really bad on that road...

Carol.. they are called... SEMI's... 18 wheelers... tractor trailers...
    all the same!!

Actually the Tractor part is the big truck... and Trailer..well self explanitory..

    ReplyDelete
  142. oh no.. that is sad about the little girl... I agree J/L

    ReplyDelete
  143. SACBARB...how sad. I agree...kill the bastard. Haven't there been a few cases like this in Tracey?

    ReplyDelete
  144. AAAAHHHHHH... I needed that...

    ReplyDelete
  145. Mo..are you serious... like maybe serial type..??

    ReplyDelete
  146. RIP little Sandra. Nobody can hurt you now.

    ReplyDelete
  147. MO Not in Tracy, that I know of. My son and his family live there. I'm very upset about that litte girl. They had been showing a security video of her skipping home, was almost to her own yard and then it appears that someone off-camera calls to her as she suddenly detours out of camera view. VERY UPSETTING! If only we could rewind the video and make her continue to her own home.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Unfortunately, most of the death row inmates in CA die of old age.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Oh my, how sad for that little girl..

    You ever did it.. "Bastard"

    ReplyDelete
  150. Ok, I am off to bed...

    See ya all tomorrow..

    ReplyDelete
  151. IBB...

Congrats on 169.. so very glad you enjoyed..

    :O)

    really going now...

    ReplyDelete
  152. Good Night Carol.. I am turning in myself.. see ya tomorrow...

tomorrow will be very long and difficult day...

    ReplyDelete
  153. Good night Carol and IBB. Sweet dreams to you both.

J/L, When they said they found that suitcase I was afraid the news was not good. It is so sad and I too hope they find the b**t**d and hang him by his who-ha!

    ReplyDelete
  154. MEK, are you still here? Did you watch Medium tonight? Ihate shows like tonight's.

    ReplyDelete
  155. SacBarb That poor little girl. My heart goes out to the family. It seems the police are back at the mobile home park with more search warrants.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Hi all,

I am just popping in to let you know that Laurie, Olive and myself are doing OK. A few little upsets here and there but nothing drastic.

I have been checking in and reading the Blogs and comments, but for some reason my computer will not show the videos. That stopped about in January. Anyone have any idea why? (it really sucks not to see them)

I am very upset tonight about little Sandra Contu, from Tracy, CA. She is the same age as my granddaughter, and this hit home way too close.

I have always felt hurt and sadness for the parents of those little children that go missing, but this particular one struck a nerve in me that I wasn't aware I had.

I saw that video of her so many times over and over (they replay it so many times here in No Ca)and my own precious granddaughter is the same age, and also very gregarious and loving and trusting.

I remember myself being that age and saying "Bye, see ya tonight", and running off or riding my bicycle off to parts unknown to my grandmother, and no one was worried. (no cell phones in those days, but I would have a dime to use the pay phone). I would leave the house early in the morning to the park, etc, and return home before it got dark.
This of course was in the late 50's early 60's.

That is not to say that predators were not there to whisk me or other unsuspecting little girls/boys away. We were I am sure just very lucky.

We just hear about it more now. And because I am now a grandmother, I am more concerned and worried. In fact, my grandkids tease me that I am the "worry" Grandma. Well, I am happy to be known as the worry
Grandma, as long as my loved ones are safe.

Sorry to be so down tonight.

IBB- I can't believe you are so "whatever" about a huge BEAR in your yard! I would be yelling and screaming, and calling everyone from the police to animal control! I only had two huge raccoons on my roof several weeks ago and I was freaked!!

MARY- if you check in, (which you should not be doing) Hi, and have lots of fun, soaking up the sun, drinking those fabulous Drink concoctions they have onboard, and I do hope you go to the Spa for some real relaxation!!!

    Love to you all,
    DonnaJean

  157. J/L, Yes I heard that two search warrants have been issued, one for somewhere in the trailer park and one for an undisclosed location. I feel terrible for the family. The news said over a hundred people are at the trailer court, bringing balloons and candles for a memorial, even at this late hour.

I'm going to bed now. Good night all and sweet dreams, although that may be difficult tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Nothing wrong with a black bear!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Is it true that there is more to fear from brown bears than black bears? I guess if it is in your yard there is something to fear from either.

Hi DONNA JEAN - I am happy to hear all of you are well. When the news of Sandra flashed at the bottom of the screen I happened to be watching a program playing funeral music. The news was horrible enough, but the music on top of it really made me sob. Too many times it turns out that the monsters who do this have molested before. As far as I am concerned if some one molests once they should never be let out of prison,

    ReplyDelete
  160. Jodi Nice try. LOL

Slani I started crying as soon as they found that suitcase. So horrible!

SacBarb I hope you sleep well.

DonnaJean Hello, Sweet Lady. It is very upsetting about little Sandra Cantu. Tracy is where my grandchildren live although, of course, the dangers are everywhere. It is just so heartbreaking to see that video. You want so much to be able to change the course she is taking and bring her safely to her own home.

    ReplyDelete
