A Go Go!

by EBJ

Here is video that I thought would be good for a Sunday!

It is the Go Go's with Belinda Carlisle. I think she dances better in this video than she did on DWTS!

Enjoy!

  2. Morning Glories!

Way to go Scrishy you got first!

EBJ I am simultaneously laughing and mystified why we thought those haircuts and clothes were so cool at the time. LMAO! I kept getting distracted by the mullet and the rooster combs. Why was the dark haired gal wearing a modified straight jacket? Oh memories.

I also want to say I am very sorry about Paula. (hugs) to you and Mr. EBJ

Jodi send Sam a huge hug from me! Way to go Sam!!!!

  18. The spider relay was called due to the removal of the participants!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. scirish Congrats on your race to be #1! I had a spider in my bathtub a couple of days ago, too. Why do they end up there, I wonder? What really creeped me out was last week when I went to make cawfee and there was a baby one of those spiders with the really long, gangly legs sitting right inside the water well of the cawfee maker. Eeeeeeeewwwwww!!! After I removed him and wiped down the water well, I still had to force it out of my mind in order to make cawfee in it again. ***shudder***

EBJ Thanks for the peppy music this a.m. I must admit, I like the short hair cuts.

  22. Hi IBB I need to go check out your pics from last night. Your shots from Skyline Drive were great! We have a Skyline Drive here, too.

  23. I've been pet sitting my daughter's two cats while she and her SO are in MEXICO!!!!! I sure hope they don't come home tonight with the Swine Flu! They went to the Cancun area and are just staying inside a resort area. It's the exposure in the airport and airplane that worries me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I would like to testify, here and now that me or any of my relatives are responsible for the recent outbreak of swine flu. We are healthy piggys and we would never make anyone ill.

    Thank you

    ReplyDelete
  25. MO I never doubted you for a moment. :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. MEK Congrats on 25! I almost didn't see that.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Happy Sunday Owls.

EBJ, That was a fun video. I hope you are doing OK today.

Scirish, Congrats on #1. Were the relay participants removed for inappropriate behavior? I think I would have just washed them down the drain.

J/L, I would have to get a new cawfee pot.

IBB, The pics were a "HOOT"

LynnD, I kinda liked the straight jacket.

Tina, I hope all goes well today and the kids can answer the questions and they don't get slapped too hard. :) (Do they still do that?)

Waving to Jodi, Mo, Carol, MEK, Tinka, Zona (are you asleep?), and all who fly in later. BBL

    ReplyDelete
  28. LMBO SacBarb~ I'm the only one left who will slap them! :)~

    GET THIS!!!!!! IT'S SNOWING!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tina Besides having eyes in the back of our heads, us Moms also have a long reach, right?

    ReplyDelete
  30. J/L~ lol....you bet we do! Rosie talked about the Mommy Dot on her show once. I used that on my kids...OMG....it worked forever!!! When I thought they were lying, I told them to move their hair off their forehead and let me see if there was a blue dot there. My younger son gave himself away EVERY TIME!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tina I used to tell my kids I was going to get out the wooden spoon on the count of three. I never said what I was going to do with it and never got it out. It was fear of the unknown that did the trick. What an enlightened mother! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  32. My Dad just called from VA and it's hotter here (in MA) than there....Go figure!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just Lin...I don't suppose you could get them to wear those surgical masks on the plane? On the other hand, they might get arrested for being hijackers or something.,,

    ReplyDelete
  34. Happy Sunday!

    Congrats on first, Scirish!

EBJ, hugs to you and thanks for the fun video. I, too, was chuckling at the clothes and hair styles--why on earth did we ever think a mullet was flattering?? LOL

    Carol, I see your toes!!

Thanks for all the myspace comments about Ty's prom pics.

I'm off to finish cleaning the pool--we always vacuum it out after the winter since it's open all winter. It looks pretty good, just some yuckies down at the bottom in the deep end. Oh, and rocks of course, that Luc loves to drop in the pool. :/

If it stays this warm, I'll be in my floating chair reading a book next week!

    ReplyDelete
  35. scirish LOL @ the face masks. Actually, a lot of people in Mexico City are wearing them now. Fortunately, my daughter will not be flying out of Mexico City. That is where the most concern is right now.

  36. HI GUYS!

EBJ: Loved the video..it brought back some great be-boppin' memories! I don't think I ever danced without continuously snapping my fingers either..I still do it!!

I know how much you are hurting, take it slow and give yourself as much time as you need to heal. Big {{HUGS}}.

SCIRISH: Congrats on a be-boppin' FIRST!

JODI: You had a tail? Why you rascal you! ;)

CPGEM: You're way hotter in NJ then we are here...but you knew that already..didn't you? ;)

    MO: Yes..too proper..that's it..lol..

J/L: How did you know it was a baby spider? Diaper? ;)

    TINA: LOL@ Mommy Dot....

SANDIE: Our pool is ready too!!

Waving HI to MEK, LYNND, TINKA and IBB!

    ReplyDelete
  37. SACBARB: I wasn't sleeping..though I would rather have been!! We had an almost plumbing disaster and Mr Z has been working on it all afternoon. I think it's finally fixed...and yes, there was butt crack..lol..

J/L: My mom had an old belt on the wall..with "Peacemaker" written on it. She never had to use it, we got the message!

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!

    ReplyDelete
  38. ummm yes the turtle has a hangover and a rather good one....and is gonna put her head back in her shell and take a lil nap.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes.

GoGo's partied quite a bit, that dancing I am sure was induced, as Belinda is quite shy normally.

    OK where is my bed.....

  39. Hi...EBJ: I am so sorry about the loss of Paula. I know it is very sad right now for you and your husband and even Poe. Thanks for the nice and fun video today...the good ole' days.

K_GIRL: Sure hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration. Maybe you are still celebrating today!!

TINA: How is that Confirmation going tonight? Has it started yet? I sure hope the snow stopped and btw, I don't really want it this time..thanks anyway.

MEK: I hope you are feeling better. Be sure and try and get some rest for yourself so you don't get any sicker...please.

This video and a call from my ten year old GD made me laugh. She went to a 50's Birthday party last night. I am sure the parents of the bday girl don't remember the 50's either. Kayla was laughing when she told me how they all dressed and instead of a bday cake..they had milkshakes. I told her I wasn't even barely a teen in the 50's.

JODI: I am so happy for Sam and your family. How proud each of your must be today...of course you were proud before you even went to the competition. Please tell Sam congrats for me.

  40. Just going to sit down for an old fashioned chicken dinner. Will read comments later.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just popping in real quickly while my dinner cooks. My daughter called. After sitting on the tarmac for 2 hrs, they cancelled the flight and no more flights out tonight. The airline is putting them up for the night but she was afraid it would be a flea bag hotel. She is not a happy camper. Can't say that I blame her. She's really pissed about being stuck on the plane for 2 hrs because they might have been able to get on another flight if they would have been let off the plane earlier.

  42. 78 -

wow, I can't believe you guys left that open for SOOOOOOOO long!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Looks like spiders were all over the place today..

at my mom's - I saw something move out of the corner of my eye and just about died....... decided to try to stomp on it - but, it moved VERY quickly... I yelled at Mr. MEK to come take care of the spider - so he comes walking in the bathroom with ONE - (count 'em ONE) paper towel..... he took one look at the thing and said - you watch it, I'll be right back..

WELL, he came back with a broom!! several swats later (each time he lifted the broom - the damn thing sprang back to life and tried to get away)...... anyway - he finally killed it - and I have teased him about the ONE paper towel!!! :-)

it was big, brown and hairy!!! YIKES!!!

  44. Just Lin - sorry that your daughter got stuck - it sucks when travel plans get delayed.

  50. Good night MEK, take good care of yourself please!

I have had a busy week end. Our Karaoke gig was a little hectic, but fun. There were ladies there from all over Michigan. We had a lot of singers. The Ladies were all here for the Michigan "Moose" bowling tournaments. We have one more week end at the Moose lodge.
Today I went to Church not far from where I grew up. My Sister & BIL were invited to sing there. She lives in Ohio, and don't see her very often,so I decided to attend their concert. I think I got as much attention as my Sister, lol. I had so many old friends stop me and say "hi Mary, you don't remember me do you?" Isn't it frustrating when they remember your name, but you can't remember theirs? One was even an old crush of mine. He had beautiful gray hair that threw me off completely lol! It was good being around so many lovely people.
They had an old fashion pot luck after the concert. Love home cooked food!

MO, I about pee-ed my pants when you wrote the swine flue disclaimer!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. J/L, sorry about your daughter's delay in flight plans. It's a bummer when you are all set to come home and then it doesn't happen.

I just heard on the news that one case of swine flu has been diagnosed in Sac. It is a student at one of the Catholic Elementary schools and they have closed the school. Don't know how long.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good night Owls. I am going to bed now. I hope you all have a good Monday.

  56. I really don't want to go to work. Will somebody write me a note?

  57. TINA - I hope the confirmation went well. I hope you brought your Kleenex. When Sam got confirmed last year I cried like a baby!!
