  14. Morning Glories!

    Tina got first!

    Hi Iteach and Carol!

Carol I swear you made this video just for me. That was so soothing to watch the water and waves.

I am amazed at how many people are at your beaches. Ours are never that populated in WA. At least the ones I go to.

Sand and surf, Ice cream and funnel cakes yum yum yum. Then a little drink to end the day. Sigh I need a trip to the beach!

  18. Tina Congrats on First! How's your MIL doing today?

    EBJ Congrats on 25!

Carol Loved the beach vid! When I lived in SoCal, we went to the beach a lot. When I was a kid, my dad taught me how to body surf. We would bring a picnic lunch and I remember the sandwiches always had some sand in them no matter what you did. LOL Once as a teenager, when I went to the beach with a boy and another couple, we were out in the ocean when all of a sudden a freakishly huge wave appeared. I swear I have never seen a wave that big before or since and it was like a giant building looming over us. When it hit us with its full force, we were pounded down and held under water, being turned every which way so you had no idea which way was up. I really thought I might die that day. We all finally made it back to shore but it was the last time I ever went in the ocean. Of course later, "Jaws" came out and that gave me another reason not to go in the ocean. LOL I live only about 1 mile from the ocean now but it is Northern California and going to the beach isn't the same as it was during the hot summers of SoCal. I used to come home sunburned and full of sand. I would take my kids and dog to the beach when the kids were little but I never go there anymore. It's still a beautiful sight, though.

  19. cpgem - I just LOVE your family..
thanks for sharing your beach day.

LOL at your four dollar beach chair.

Your mom's ice cream cone makes me hungry for some..

I am not a fan of the funnel cake.

LOL at people thinking you are crazy for talking to yourself..

    and - I wasn't around earlier, cuz I had/have no internet...

Iteach - I just sent Mr. Mek to McDonald's to pick me up a sausage biscuit - cuz this video made me hungry also!!

Just Lin - i don't like to go into the ocean either!!

    :-)

Lynn - yes, that ocean sound was very soothing this a.m.

cpgem - your Jersey Wives are on Regis and Kelly right now...

    goldie - safe travels..

    Whabby - safe travels..

    hugs to everyone..

  20. MEK Another reason not to go into the ocean is jelly fish. My girlfriend got stung once all over the front of and between her thighs. It was not fun at all! Also, I remember how it was to stand in the water and feel something slide against my leg. Usually, just a piece of kelp or seaweed but it's very unnerving 'cause you just don't know what might be lurking out there.

  21. LynnD.- Are your beaches the nude ones?

  22. Happy Thong Thursday to Carol, Tina, iteach, Lynn D, Justlin,Shirley, EBJ, Birdee,MEK lurkers and future drop-ins!!

Carol, You have made a video that I will probably play over and over! I love to watch the waves! It reminded me when I went to visit my Son in San Diego while he was in boot camp. We sat and watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. It was a sight I will never forget. I could listen to the waves for hours!

    Tina,Congrats on # 1-5

iteach we had pancakes here too. Next time cross your legs and get #1!

MEK,sorry about your 'puter, or is it your service connection?

    Justlin,"between her thighs" eeww!!

  23. G'morning Everyone...

CAROL: Thankyou, thankyou thankyou for this video! I woke up with a mother of a headache this morning, and watching and hearing the waves hit the shore has made me feel better. The smiles I gave you yesterday, you've given right back to me today when you checked out the young guys..said you didn't have a boat, but the 4.99 beach chair made you happy..killed the bug..when one of your nephews ate the funnel cake..and the other did color commentary. I loved every minute of this video CAROL..you've made my day. Thank you.

Btw..is that the boardwalk? The one you tried to send me a pic of a while back? If so..well, you know.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary Yes, sunsets over the Pacific are spectacular. And jellyfish stings hurt like a mofo.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tina Did you ever go to POP (Pacific Ocean Park) when you lived in SoCal? I used to love the roller coaster there.

    ReplyDelete
  26. TINA: 'Grats on FIRST! Eunice is going to have the most beautiful skin when she washes off that mudpack..well, if she has any skin at all..ijs.. ;)

ITEACH: "The best laid plans.." ;)

LYNND: No one is ever at our beaches either.. ;)

    MEK: hugs back... :)

    J/LIN: Jellyfish..ick..and what a place to get stung..yikes!

MARY: We used to go to Newport Beach all the time when we lived in Ca. I loved just sitting and watching the waves. We always stayed to see the sunset..there's nothing like it.

    HI EBJ!

    BIRRRDEEEE!! :D

GOLDIE: You got it..light's back on..have a safe trip..

    BEAR: you too..

DIANNE: Have fun on your All Girl's weekend..have a Chuckle for me..safe travels..

Well, I'm going back to bed with a bag of frozen corn (Cha-ching! DEEDEE) for my neck. I hope everyone is having a good day, and that it only gets better.

    Waving HI to everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Zona I hope the corn helps! As teens, we went to Newport Beach and Balboa Beach a lot. I remember the sand would sometimes be so hot, you truly could not walk on it with bare feet.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Zona, It is a sad day when we have to go to bed with corn lol!! Get better!

Tina, I beg of you! Do something with Eunice! She looks like a firecracker hit her in the face!

  29. Morning Hooters....

Carol I need to video the waves here...lol. Right now we cannot run our Submarine operation cause there are 8-12 footers breaking on the south shore (Honolulu side).

I think I will video some this weekend as I have a friend flying in from Long Beach to visit. I will also try to get to Spitting Caves which is a spot I especially like cause there are Sea Turtles, Monk Seals and dolphins.

K gotta get to work now....woohoo tomorrow off and three days off next week, I so need it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ive waited patiently for an hour...lol

  31. Kgrl Hey! Just missed you or I would have marched, too. Long ago....I think it was in Maui, I went on one of those glass bottom boats. OMG, I felt so nauseated! I felt bad for the rest of the day. I def should have loaded up on Dramamne before going on that.

    Mary LMAO @ firecracker!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I do realize there is an "i" in Dramamine.

    ReplyDelete
  33. K'girl - great marching..

Just Lin - OH YES, the creatures!! OH MY!!

Zona - sorry you aren't feeling well..

Dianne - safe travels to you also - some how i missed that..

Mary - apparently our cable/phone/interent company is affecting each neighbor in a different way - we didn't have internet, but our neighbor didn't have phone service and some didn't have tv...... go figure - you would think that it would ALL be out.. oh well.......

it's back up.......... and that is what's important..

    ReplyDelete
  34. Okay - I am going to spill the beans now!!!

Mr. MEK and I are getting a swimming pool!!! We started this process over a month ago - permits are in place, HOA is approved - pin and paint is done and the DIGGER is HERE!!!!

i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited.. we are stimulating the economy!!
    :-)

I have been trying to talk mr. mek into putting a pool in ever since we moved into this house - we have a huge backyard and it is going to fit SOOOO nicely back there!!!

YIPPEE!! I am SO happy to have that off my chest!!!
    :-0

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dianne and Zona - my mom and I saw "My Sister's Keeper" yesterday.

Yes, it was a sad movie - I did enjoy it - I haven't read the book, but saw a story today that people are REALLY upset about the ending!!

and - if anyone is going to go - you need kleenex thru the WHOLE thing.. not just the end...

    ReplyDelete
  36. MEK So that's why you were moving rocks! Congrats on getting the new pool. You def need one with the temps that you get there. I wonder if any of your dogs will go swimming. My mom's dog went swimming all the time to cool off in SoCal.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just Lin - YES, that is why we were moving rock...... and moving rock....

    :-)

Tug loves the wading pool, so we are sure she will be swimming - our trainer has told us to just make sure she knows to enter the pool at the step area and how to get out the same way!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. MEK You'll have to post photos for us. :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Glad everyone enjoyed my beach blog.. yes the waves are soothing.. but that day, they were really rough..

    Zona..

That is the boardwalk but not at Atlantic City, the boardwalk I showed was a different shore area.
Thanks for loving the vid.. ♥♥

    Mek..

Congrats on the pool.. so that is why we were moving Prudential ;O)
I am very, very excited for you..

    ReplyDelete
  40. Turtle..

I would love to see your waves.. your beach is def much prettier than mine..

    Lynn..

Our Jersey Shore beaches are always that crowded in the summer months, going to the beach in the summer here in NJ is a huge event.. Something everyone does..

    Tina..

Yes you have to pay for most beaches in NJ.. I think Atlantic City and Wildwood are the only exceptions..

    ReplyDelete
  41. Zona..

I loved my nephews commentary as well, I was driving so I gave him the flip.. I actually love making these vids, I have so many to look back on now.. The flip is def a memory maker, I recommend it to all.

    ReplyDelete
  42. we have crime scene tape in the backyard - so, naturally, i crossed it!! (shhh, don't tell)..

I can report... my hole is bigger than Tina's....

    :-O

    ReplyDelete
  43. But Mek the question is...does your hole hurt as much as Tina's gaping hole did. ija :o)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good evening everyone!

    Tina congrats on 1st!

Hello to Tina, Carol, Iteach, Lynn D, EBJ, Mek, Just Lin, Mary, Zona and K-girl (nice marching for the tie).

    ReplyDelete
  45. Carol loved your video! The waves were fantastic. I could watch them for hours. I hope K-girl does a video of her waves. I want to see which one has the biggest waves! Lol!

Carol I for one don't get bored of your family videos, especially when you show the nephew with hair (sorry I don't remember his name. He looks very...ummm...nice! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  46. one 0 one

Shirley: I will try and film this weekend..... I will be all around the island with my friend that is flying in....will have many opportunites.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks K-girl! Don't forget to film you too!

    ReplyDelete
  48. ummmm......NO~

And Tina ain't here to do it with or without my permission.

    ReplyDelete
  49. MEK, I am so glad you are back on line! What a mess eh? I can already see me lounging in your pool! lol! Someday.....

Kgirl, I will be looking forward to vids on the ocean! Don't forget to wear your best string bikini!!

Shirley, I kinda had my eye on Carols Nephew too, especially when he was eating and licking his fingers lol!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. ok, that didn't sound right. He wasn't "eating his fingers" lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Flying through!

I thought I would get to stay home today but as usual that did not work out. I am finally home and exhausted.

I need more beach time! LOL

MEK that is so cool you are putting in a pool! I won't tell Mr. Lynn D he would be jealous as all hell! He has been yapping about putting one in forever! I just don't know if we could get permits as part of our property is seasonal wet land. :(

Iteach no my beaches are not nude beaches LOL. The beaches here get visitors but it does not seem to be the event it is in New Jersey. I have never actually been to a really crowded beach in WA. Now lakes are another story. The lakes here that allow swimming are always crowded in the summer.

Hmmm Maybe that is why our beaches are not crowded we have so many lakes and rivers that people have many water choices.

I actually thought paying to go to the beach was a good idea. Call me crazy but it would be a way to keep our state parks open. They are closing so many with the budget cuts going on. It is very sad as we are a state rich in parks. From the ocean to the mountains.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Mary LOL at Carols nephew eating his fingers!

I am thinking I will be very very jealous when Kgirl posts her beach vids! (Sigh) I want to move to Hawaii when I grow up or win the lottery.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi hooters!

Carol I loved the video! I love the beach and the sounds of the waves is so calming. Even with screaming brats, just have to focus them out!

The beaches here are nice but N. Calif. has notoriously cold water. I think the only time I have ever swam in the ocean here was after a few drinks (back in way younger days).

MEK how exciting to get a pool! You need it there. You'll be so glad you did it.

I hope you are documenting the whole process! I made Kodakgalleries of everything, from chalk outline, first dig, plumbing, even the landscaping after the pool was in.

Kgirl congats on an awesome march! I did not even get to peek in from work today.

Would love to see pics from around your beautiful island!

Shirley, thank you for the German chocolate cake! Now my mouth is watering.

Zona, hope you are feeling better...

Shout out to JL, Lynn D, Mary, Tina and Iteach!

Our clinic is closed tomorrow, and I'm on vacation til the 15th! Yipee!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Congrats on first Tina.

Tina: Great video of Di yesterday. I watched that.

Carol: Loved the Jersey shore, it sure looks like fun!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hi...well, here we are up in the mountains and it is cold. It rained the whole way up here and is in the low 50's. The sun finally peeked out about 7PM. We went to eat and back to our hotel early. We will head up to the campground where my son will be tomorrow.

MEK: How exciting to have your own pool. I have always wanted a pool just to walk out of my back door and jump in and be alone without so many people. You can even go skinny dippy. It will be fun to compare your pool stories with ZONAS'S!!

CAROL: I really enjoyed your video. I love watching the ocean. I always wanted to have one close by to drive too. It seemed like years ago, whenever we would go on vacation it would be so we could be around an ocean. Thanks for sharing your family. I just had an ice cream cone like your mom a few minutes ago.

Well, guess I will get ready for bed like these lazy girls with me.

    Night

    ReplyDelete
  56. There seems to be a number of people in the neighborhood shooting off illegal fireworks. We go through this every year.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Just Lin - sweet dreams to you as well..

Dianne - don't think there will be any skinny dipping going on here -

Mary - you can come swimming here and i'll come ice skating at your house!!

EBJ - LOL - I think it's a given that i will be taking LOTS of pictures!!!

Shirley - NO, my hole doesn't hurt!!

    Lynn - :-)

okay - it's been an exciting, long day..

I hope everyone has an excellent Friday!!
