♪♪Tuesday Afternoon♪♪
Chosen by EBJ
The is one of my favorite songs, "Tuesday Afternoon" by the Moody Blues. It's currently being used in a Visa commercial! The video has some nice pictures.
ongrats once again Tina! Glad Tucker had a nice b-day!
Hi MEK and Lynn!
We had a really nice day yesterday. We took Nancy with us and she was the hit of the party.
Someone ese had brought their dog, and Nancy went after him a few times. We can't believe how aggressive and fearless she is.
The dog was a "rat terrier" and not really big, but Nancy is tiny and had him running.
There were lots of fireworks (sounded like gunfire and bombs) going off last night, poor Poe is so frightened by it all.
My motivation for today's song comes from my looking for tickets for the Moody Blues concert on July 24th. The tickets are pretty expensive, so I am not sure we will be going.
It is at amphitheater at a winery out in the sticks. Oh well.
Good Morning Mek - I hope your 'baby' is okay today. My big Golden Retriever Chelsea used to get so scared of fireworks she would hide in the bathtub. They have no effect on Tango and Tia as long as I am close by.
Tina Congrats on first! You would have thought Eunice would at least wash her face before going to work with you.
Tinka Congrats on 25.
EBJ Thank you for the music vid today. I like the Moody Blues, too. I hope you decide to go to the concert. It would be a lovely evening and you can consider it a "once in a lifetime" thing. All the band members may not be around much longer. You just never know.
EBJ: Lovin' the Moody Blues..my fave song of theirs is "The Story In Your Eyes"..but everything they do is good. I hope you're able to score some tickets to the concert!
Thanks for the nice vid today EBJ. :)
TINA: Yeowch..what happened to Eunice? I hope DEEDEE didn't invent aloe vera cuz it looks like Eunice is gonna need a vat of it!
Congrats on FOIST too! :)
Oh...I didn't have a hard night..but I had a hard afternoon..ijs.. ;)
MEK: Glad Tug wasn't scared..Nikki did really good too..
LYNND: How many pots of coffee have you had so far? ;)
TINKA: I hope you are having a good time with your family today. :)
J/LIN: HI! I broke the spell.. ;)
JODI: Please come up for air.. ;)
SACBARB: Waving HI and continuing to say prayers for you and for Chad.. {{hugs}}
GOLDIE: Had to change the bulb..but the light is burning bright for you.. :)
DIANNE: I'm glad you had a such a good time with that wonderful family of yours...safe travels home!
It's 105 here..111 tomorrow..where's MARY so we can trade? ;)
It is cold and gray here today and I don't feel like doing crap. Well, maybe eating and sleeping, but that's about it. I am really dragging my ass today.
Hi Hooters!! Hope to swoop by the nest more often now that the hotter 'dog-days' (i.e. my lazy season)of Summer have begun....if you'll still have me, that is. Enjoying your holiday weekend wind-down?
Sunny mid-70's perfection here today after a gawd-awful 95* Fourth. UGH!
EBJ~~Is your Moody Blues concert like their stop here--part of a Summer Concert Series? They'll be at our Cuthbert Amphitheatre (outdoor seating for 5k) 7/27--$60. reserved/$35 gen'l admission. Chicago's here 7/19, Bonnie Raitt/Taj Mahal 9/7, Crosby, Stills & Nash 9/11, among others.
Hi there J/L! Sorry to post 'n run---just refreshed as I cruised by the 'puter between tasks. In answer, I used to luv me some Chicago, so thinking about that one. Saw Bonnie Raitt last time through, I think with Keb Mo.
SacBarb~~Hugs to you & Chad if you stop in. IOU an e-mail or call...I'll shoot for later tonight.
Bono...welcome back!!!! So great to see you here!!!
EBJ.....love, love, love me some Moody Blues! I wonder what ever happened to them! Thanks for a great song to dance and hum my way through the day by!!!
EBJ~~I like Diana Krall (have all of her cd's) & Brian Setzer's Orchestra, ♥ Boz Scaggs! and VIG & I will be right there on 8/28, right VIG?? I keep thinking some day he'll stop here & I won't have to leave town to see him.
The American Idol Tour starts in Portland tonight, but I passed...can't wait for the 'all-Adam' concert tour, though!
Iteach - I just woke up and can't get back to sleep. Good for you for calling the police. Too many people don't want to get involved and turn a 'blind eye' to things like that. I think we should look after our neighbours.

ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a nice three day weekend and maybe would like a few more days.
It's nice to see all of you and it's nice to see Bono back in the nest. This is much cooler than that 90 degree outside.
Well, I don't have much to say and just wanted to do a fly by to say hello and goodnight to everyone.
It is 1:30 in the a.m. and just a little too scared to go to bed.
ReplyDeleteAn idiot on my street was beating the crap out of his girlfriend at midnight.
I called 911, because her screaming made me cry.
Thank you for doing that, iteach! There are evil people out there.
