I Don't Care

by EBJ

Tonight when I got home from work, the tv was on, and there was Jon from Jon and Kate Plus 8.

I turned on the computer, there he was again on the Yahoo home page.

There he is on Perez, Comcast, every f*@#ing place I look!

I am sick of hearing about him, seeing him everywhere, reading about him. I don't care!

His wife or soon to be ex wife doesn't seem to be as prominent. I don't care about her either.

To me they are irritating and annoying. I am sure the $$ is why they want to continue on with the show. Well, I read that now he won't be on the show, it will just be her. Oh, now he wants to shut down the production as he feels the children are being exploited!

I just don't care.

Is there anyone you are sick and tired of hearing about every place you turn?

  1. EBJ I have not watched that show or followed the family in the media. It does not interest me.

When Michael Jackson died the media grabbed at that like a dog with a bone and they still won't let it go. They watched the family like a hawk. I even heard one idiot ask one of the brothers how upset he was to loose Michael. WTF??

The media needs to report the news. They don't need to hover and then when someone grabs a kleenex break into your show saying so-and-so is having a breakdown. Good grief!!

  2. Sorry Tina, you're about 10 minutes too late for 1st!

    Good morning though!

  3. Carol you might want to open some windows in here. Something isn't smelling right, and I don't think it's Tina (for once).

  7. Good morning Shirley & Tina.

EBJ, the media people would murder their own family members if it meant better ratings and more $. I make my statement by tuning out.

As far as that mess withose baby factory people, place the kids in a good home and let the two of them kill each other in private. We don't need to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Shirley.. Happy 1..

    Tina.. I wanna know..

Bonacci.. Crap, I tune in.. (can't help it)
    :O)

  9. Shirley..

    OMG.. Skunk! HA! PUUUUUUU......

    ReplyDelete
  10. Tina.. Ignore them, they are assholes.. I hope they both get ear infections!!!!!!!

  11. Pepe La Pew.. is in the nest..

    How fun!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Morning glories!

Shirley got first! Way to go!

EBJ Ditto what you said. They both seem to have mental issues to me and really don't give a wit about their children.

The other news story that is bugging the crap out me is the Letterman story. OMG David Letterman had sex more than once in his life! Why the hell do I care who he did the mattress mambo with? Oh it was with a co-worker. Well if we reported about every personality that had sex with a co-worker I suspect it would be all sex all the time on every channel.

Seems to me the story should be more about the crime that was being committed you know like blackmail. Gee no wonder this dumbass is not employed any more. Blackmail someone that has more money than you and is not a political figure and guess what? They have your ass arrested. MORON!

Now if they had reported that Conan O'brien had sex I might pay attention as I can't figure out who the hell would find him attractive. Ewwwwww

Ok now I feel much better.

News is not news anymore it is all gossip and spreading of half truths or down right lies. Sigh

  13. EBJ..

Yes I am certainly tired of hearing about them.. However I love train wrecks, can't help it, while I do feel bad for the children and hope they are ok. I can't help but follow the wanna be stars Jon and Kate.. I guess I am looking for the downfall of them both, cause it is def gonna happen..

I get all my trashy news from radar on line..

    ReplyDelete
  14. Tina just give me the high sign and I will put a curse on the jackasses! Oh wait judging by their personalities someone else got there first.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lynn..

(bows head in shame) I have been
following the David Letterman train wreck as well..

I am a Jersey Girl ya know, we love drama! :O)

  16. I feel better today.. I wore one of the sweaters I bought yesterday and the jeans that I bought.. the jeans are def a size bigger then I have been buying, but the sweater sizing is the same..

    We shall see...

Shirley.. Please make sure Pepe La Pew does not spray, cause I gotta tell ya that smell is god awful..

    Everyone have a good day!

    :O)

PS.. Shirley on second thought.. let Pepe Spray away.. LOL

  18. Good morning!!

I don't even watch that show and I am tired of hearing about them....but I guess America wants to know....why I can't imagine.

But something I am tired of is all the hate in the news....like Rush Limbaugh saying he sides with the terrorists and Hamas over Obamas Nobel prise....and churchs with their attempts to hold everyone to their silly standards.....and people having to fight....yes fight for equal rights...
Sometimes I long for simpler times....but we are going through major changes for the good...and you don't get smooth sailing with that kind of growth....

I was going to say I hope the victory is as sweet as the battle has been bitter.....but I am reminded of a few days ago when I read that the Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Bill has finally passed after an 11 year battle.....I just put my face in my hands and cried....joyfully....but sadly as well because it had taken so long..

and it is important to know that another person may be spared suffering and dying the way Matthew did because supporters never gave up the fight....

  19. It's ok Carol really! I still love you!

Shirley that's a skunk? I thought it was a weird bird of some sort. LMAO

    DeeDee Hear Hear!

  22. Good Morning Hooters!

    Congrats on 1st shirley!!!!

EBJ- I am actually kinda glad they are all over the place- it means that Paris Hilton and Lindey Lohan are not!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Here is my post from Area 51 at 7AM. SHIRLEY: Does this count for anything? Probably not, especially since you are the second first of the day and the record keeper. Happy Thanksgiving to you

Well it is 7:00AM here (no I have been in ben since 1AM) and I up to take my kids to the airport. I was hoping a blog was early so I could be first. Soooooo, I am going to declare myself first today, Monday, October 12!! BBL

    October 12, 2009 9:00 AM

    ReplyDelete
  24. ATTENTION OWLS: I think you might all want to go back to Area 51 to the last few posts as BEAR makes some announcements/confessions, etc. They may surprise all of you.Oh and btw, I was asking yesterday and received no answers but I was "wondering" how your football teams did yesterday...(ZONA AND SACBARB)? I only heard from J/L. Boy, the Seahawks knocked it out of the park yesterday.

Ok, I have to go and rest for awhile before my next appt in two hours. I was amazed at how many people are driving to the airport at 7:30 in the morning. Just where is everyone going.....?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Happy Monday Owls.

EBJ,I am more sick of Jon than I am of Kate, but they both need to just retreat. They are both panicky now because that show is the source of their income and without it...well someone would have to get a real job.

I am also sick of the Duggers, who happen to be on the Today Show AGAIN today. They have 18 kids and another one on the way and now they are grandparents. Whoopie! Everybody stand and cheer!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shirley, The only reason why the media is in such a frenzy about this stuff is because there are people who read/watch/listen to it and it means lots of $$$ for them.

I am also sick of listening to/about Rush Limbaugh. He really likes to push people's buttons and I don't understand why anyone takes him seriously. BTW, he used to be a DJ here in SAc.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Tina, I could call my Uncle Guido into service if it gets too bad for you.

Lynn, It is sad they are making a bigger deal over Letterman's having sex than the blackmail issue. Oh, and I so agree about Conan. ewwwwww

Carol, Train wrecks like car crashes are hard NOT to watch.

Dee, what is really sad is that we needed a Matthew Shepard bill in the first place.

    Goldie, Congrats on grabbing 25.

Waving to all the other Owls. I hope everyone has a good day. (Tina I hope your day gets better)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Congrats on first Shirley!

    Good morning all.

Great blog, EBJ! I don't care to hear anymore about...hmmmm..

copiers and how to fix them.

Long and boring story on that one...lol.

    Great blog though.

I had an emergency root canal this morning, oh so much fun and a fine and dandy way to start off the work week too.

Oh happy day! At least I am not in the excruciatingly horrible pain I have been in for the past two days.

I hope everyone has a good Monday!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Crap I just had to go there Barb and I imagined Conan's Orgasam face. Scared the hell out of me! Scrubbing brain, Scrubbing brain........

Bebbi yuck! I hope you do feel much better.

Ok gotta fly see you all later.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Making a quick fly-by. I am going to attempt to chose my new kitchen cabinets. I can't decide on going dark or light. My kitchen is quite small so I may go light. My contractor stopped by with his itinerary. He is first going to build me a new larger pantry. Hooray!! Next I have to pick a counter top! oy vey, Donna how did you ever do all this? I am going with quartz... I think lol!

On today's subject. There are only a couple on tv that I either turn the tv station or put on "mute". nuff said.

I do get super irritated with the whole Letterman fiasco! The media keeps steering away from the actual crime, to David's past love life. We all (well most) have had prior relationships. Dos that make us monsters? I wonder why more isn't said about the gals and what their motivations were. I would think it was all plain old hanky panky lol!

    And on Conan, double eeewww!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. DeeDee...Your reference to Rush Limbaugh pushed a hot button!!! I really get steamed that so many people BELIEVE idiots like him. I had someone tell me that it had to be right because it was on the radio. They could not grasp that it was someones opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Shirley....No wonder you got first...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Shirley Congrats on first! How nice that you brought your cute little pet with you. Carol is probably especially pleased. ;)

Tina I know of whom you speak. ;)

Bonach I have no time for those people, either.

Carol ROFLMAO @ ear infections! That was the rottenest and funniest thing I've heard in a long time!!!! Thank you for such a good laugh!

LynnD I agree that the focus should be on the blackmailer. It's hard to believe that someone who is a tv producer would be so stupid and ruin his career. What an idiot!

DeeDee I was in high school when I realized there were people in this country who were not allowed to vote in the south. I was absolutely flabbergasted! It seems to take a lot of fight, blood, sweat, and tears and years to gain rights for all people.

    Goldie Congrats on 25!

Dianne I was very disappointed in our Niners yesterday. It was like they turned into a different team.

SacBarb Oh, I can't stand Rush, either. What a blowhard!
Bebbi So sorry you spent the weekend in pain but so glad it is all taken care of now. (((Hugs))).

Bebbi Sorry about your tooth but so glad it is all taken care of now.

Mary If I imagine it being Conan (eeewww), his hair is bobbing up and down. I have a small kitchen, too, so I didn't choose the darker cabinets for that reason.

    scirish I hope you're having a good day. :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. EBJ I don't follow the situation or the show but I will say that I find Jon to be annoying. He's just now figuring out that his gravy train will be over. He seems very immature to me.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good almost Afternoon Everybody!

EBJ: I don't watch much TV..but I still seem to know an awful lot about Jon and Kate..which tells me that the media really is saturated with stories about them. There certainly have been times when I turn on the TV and the first thing I say is "Who cares?"..luckily that hasn't been happening too much lately.

I do think that the media is causing a frenzy over the swine flu..and scaring a lot of people in the process. I guess that's just how they work though. They take a story and wring it out til it's dry..then it's on to the next one...seems to be a neverending process.

    Great blog today EBJ..thank you..

    ReplyDelete
  36. SHIRLEY: Congrats on FIRST! I think your erect tail and threat of a potent squirt will keep me alert today... ;)

BONACHI: I was a journalism major and I actually switched majors because I knew I didn't have the ruthlessness it took to be a reporter. I can't stand the way they hound people for a story.

LYNND: I don't get all the interest over the Lettermen story either..and as for Conan..gaaaaggg...ick..

CAROL: I get mine from TMZ.. :)

DEEDEE: What happened to Matthew Shepard was just horrible..you are so right..it has taken much, much too long to get this bill passed.

DIANNE: My silence about the Raiders should speak volumes..ijs..

SACBARB: I take it you're not impressed by the Duggers' "talent"? ;)

BEBBI: Sorry to hear about the root canal..yeowch..

    TINA: Hope work gets better..

MARY: Mr Z still thinks he's going to be able to re-do our kitchen..and the gate..and put new insulation in..and paint the house..and..and..and.. ;)

    SCIRISH: RL..double ick..

    J/LIN: Your 49ers..my Raiders..sigh..

  37. I think I'll give Hugh Grant a rest for a couple weeks and get festive with a Halloween owl.. :)

  38. Hi hooters,

I have never watched John and Kate Plus 8, or the Duggers. I feel like I know them because of all the media attention.

I'm sure the Duggers will continue to pop out babies, no doubt TLC pays them lots (I read the J&K+8 gets something like $50,000 per episode).

When I turned on the computer this morning, there was John!

Zona, I agree with you about the swine flu. I know it is a serious virus and it's out there, but people are in a frenzy over it.

Our clinic is giving the first shipment of the H1N1 vaccine starting today, and I'm sure work is nuts.

They are limiting the vaccine to kids right now, so no doubt there will be LOTS of adults screaming for it.

I don't care about Letterman either. The way I see it, his wife was with him for 15 years or something, she more than likely knew he was seeing other women. She has his kid so she is set for life.

I know that sounds really cold...

We are having our first really chilly day. I had to turn on the heater and defroster in my car this morning.

    Love the avatar today Shirley!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Zona, MR. EBJ had lots of project that he intends to do/fix/put in, etc.

Very seldom does he get any done, he is too busy.

I love his intention but he needs to realize he can't do it all.

Tina, hope your day gets better!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Fed Ex guy came to the door between 46 and 47!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Not so fast, Shirley. There's one of us popping in now and again.

I think the reason we all HAVE to watch train wrecks is that we have to assure ourselves. Find a reason for what's happened. Blame someone, even.

As far as Rush Limbaugh and others like him, if they weren't the way they are, they wouldn't be known. Like that New England conservative racist bitch. Can't remember her name straight away. Ann Coulter?

I prefer to get facts, then form my own opinion. I do watch television programs (I am human), but not on the telly. Mine come without the brainwashing option that others know as adverts. Ironically, my programs often come before they officially air.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Tina, if I had a customer service department that consisted of more than just me and my mobile phone, I'd want you manning it. Come to think of it, everyone here would do a bang up job. It takes a certain patience and quality personality to handle the arse-bites that call in.

    ReplyDelete
  43. i probably shouldn't say this out loud.....but my day is been kinda nice~ after the initial freaks....i took 3 hrs to work on a project...and when I got back on the phones, the people were nice. I like it when the nice people call~ :D

    Bonachichichichichichichichi~ ur so sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  44. oh...and J/L~ :)~ i'll send you an email with a link! :)~

    ReplyDelete
  45. DIANNE...I did mention my teams performance..even addressed it to you. Guess you don't read my comments ;(

I had a SHITTY day today at work. I am going to stuff my piehole and try to forget it.

Prolly wont be back tonight...in case anyone misses me.

    ReplyDelete
  46. EBJ: My doctor told me I should get both the regular flu shot and the H1N1 shot because of my asthma...only..he didn't have them yet. Don't know if I'll go back and get them or not.

Mr Z has great intentions..he just doesn't have the time..

MO: I'm sorry you had such a bad day at work..here's a {{hug}} and a smile from AZ..or as JODI's daughter calls it..'the end of the Earth..' :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. ooops...that was a misquote..it was "the end of the world.." but you get the idea..lol..

    ReplyDelete
  48. MO: I do read all the comments but I must have been thinking about my sheep on Farmland or something and spaced it out. I do know you won but the score was pretty small and I also know it is almost your Birthday so see, I pay attention to you. I also know that I am going to get to meet you in Chicago in the Spring!!

It's been a busy errand day and MrD had to go to the mtns to school for the day so I should have stayed home and had the place to myself. I know I will be going to bed early tonight after being up since 6:30AM.

I don't care about John and Kate but I also know about them from TV and reading my important newspaper (Globe).

Regarding Letterman, I do have an issue with him. Of course I do with the blackmailer but he has been living with his "now wife" for 15-20 years. I just wonder if she knew about all this before she married him in March. If so, than so be it...if not..well. My opinion is that maybe Letterman would not have been so open to telling all of this if the blackmail thing didn't come up. Maybe no one would know about it except he and the women. So I guess I think he came clean because he got caught but then that's just me guessing.

Ok, enough rest for me now I have to unpack my findings of the day.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Afternoon Glories!

I am pooped and ready to hibernate!

Mo quit shoving food down your pie hole, wait on second thought scoot over and share. I'll put my sweats on and we can eat away.

Dianne Love ya but don't quite get your logic. Are you saying that if he had the affairs when he was in the relationship with wife before he was married? Or he should have told her about everyone before he got married? Because I have to say there are a couple of guys Mr. Lynn D does not know about and I really don't see the point in telling him as it was before we were married. At this point I don't see the point. Shrug. He had a life before he met me and really I don't care.

Crap maybe I should not post this as Dianne can now blackmail me. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  50. LynnD I think what Dianne was saying is that Letterman and his wife, although not yet married, were living together for a number of years so she probably had reasonable expectations that they were in a committed relationship. The only good part of the situation is that the affairs did not happen recently and a blackmailer has been arrested.

MO Of course we miss you when you aren't here. Sorry you had a bad day.

Tina Thanks for the email but I don't see it that way. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Zona I like your Halloween owl. I should go find one, too.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Cute little pumpkin owl, J/Lin!

I often wonder what everyone's avatars mean. I know Shirley's trying to stink up the place. Tina's... well, it's Tina.

Whab's got that astronomy theme goin' on and DeeDee... well, like the person, strange.

Goldie's Goldie and Diane's Diane. Scrish looks like an up-side-down waterfall (to me), Mary's with her boy toy. Mo used to be a piggy, but now she's smellin' like a rose.

I can't make out what Bebbi's doing, Just_Lin has the owl version of a cross-eyed Mr. Magoo. Even her new pumpkin owl has that eye thing going on.

Carol, SacBarb, LynnD & EBJ all have some owlishness going on and Zona was Hugh. Now she's not.

What would a mental health professional make of all this?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hey Bona, what do you think of this avatar?

I used it last year too!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Bonacci....

I may try and make you laugh from time to time....but there is nothing strange about me....
I make Tina's avatars....what would you have mine be? I think that should be included in your critique of me...and frankly...I'd be more interested to know what a mental health professional would make of you.....because my experience has been that usually the one doing the critiqkee is the one thats the most freekie......

Now put that in your car and fax it!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think a mental health professional would say "what a great and diverse group there"!!

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. i think a healthcare professional would yell:

RUN TINA, RUN!!!!!! RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!!~

    ReplyDelete
  57. Bonach If I recall correctly, Bear's avatar is the Owl Nebula. Clever, don'tcha think? Your avatars seem to all be up in the air. Does that mean something? ;)

EBJ I remember your red mask. Scary!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Tina Oh, yeah. Like you're the "normal" one. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  59. ur right once again, J/L~ I'm truly extraordinary~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  60. EBJ Good one!!!!

Tina Yes, dear, you are. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Toddling off to bed mourning my lost island dog.

J/L that makes sense. I get it now.

    Night owls!

    ReplyDelete
  62. EBJ; OMG!!! Get HELP!

DeeDee, you're strange. Own it. Embrace it. I know you make Tina's avatars. I rest my case. Nobody ever accused me of being normal. Why start now?

Tina; Don't bother running. You're in to stay.

Just_Lin; I guess a lot of my avatars are airborne. Welcome to my life. There's usually something "not quite" right about them. Any guess what's wrong with this one?

    ReplyDelete
  63. LynnD lost a dog? Farming? Didn't someone lose a cow recently as well?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Yes, EBJ! Looks like someone blew up your avatar.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Tina, is Eunice dressing up for Halloween?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi everyone.. just flying in to say goodnite.. I was busy farming.. this farm work is pretty hard and very time consuming..

    I will catch up tomorrow..

Has Shirley skunk sprayed anyone today!

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Just skimmed.. lots of avatars are for halloween how fun..

    I have to find one..

    ReplyDelete
  68. Bonach Well, that guy on the left does not look like he's skydiving. When you first started using this avatar, I thought he was actually surfing but on closer inspection, I'm not sure about that, either.

EBJ I think Tina's avatar is ready for Halloween exactly as she is. ;)

Shirley Thanks for behaving yourself today. No tomato juice was needed.

LynnD So, on FB you have pretend animals that bad things can happen to? I wouldn't be able to take it.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Carol I have enough trouble remembering to take care of the house plants. Farming sounds way too labor intensive for me.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Just_Lin; Not surfing. Skydiving. Both of them. Before you ask where Surfer Boy's parachute is, I will tell you. He didn't have one.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Bonach Does that mean he has to grab onto the person with a parachute?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Dianne: LOL! I was a little tipsy last night... combination of the Lone Star beer bust and a holiday today!

Well, I actually went in to the office for several hours, so not that much of a holiday...

Just read all the comments on EBJ's blog...and... I have to say... one was truly frightening.

Thinking of Conan O'Brien putting on his orgasm face... ewwwwwwww! :)

    ReplyDelete
