"There is no place like home."

by DeeDee

I know just how this young lady feels......I felt the same way when Rose walked to the stern of the research vessel in the movie Titanic and threw Louis XVI's Le Coeur de la Mer into the sea.....WTF!!

I hope this starts out your week with a laugh!

Oh DeeDee~ that was the funniest video I've seen in a long time~ I do hope tho that said person in Denver doesn't have a heart attack~ Of course, we won't know for another 12-16 hrs~ :D

  2. Why am I not surprised that this comes to us, courtesy of our own beloved DeeDee?

    Good Morning, Tina!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Morning Glories!

Tina I see you distracting me with thoughts of cooking a big bird! Congrats on 1st!

DeeDee there is no place like home unless it is with unlimited money and a tropical island get away with the best suite money can buy!

Poor tin man that was his home? Where is the ambiance and decor?

Never did like Dorothy. Sorry Dianne!

    ReplyDelete
  4. A gracious Good Morning to All!

DEEDEE: I think I am second only to DIANNE in my love of the Wizard of Oz...and I thought this video was very funny. As much as I love this movie...and understand that Dorothy had to realize how much she missed home before she could go back..I always wondered why she wasn't just a little bit upset when she found out that home was only 3 clicks away. Thanks for the early morning laugh DEEDEE!

    TINA: Congrats on 1~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  5. LYNND: You don't like Dorothy?

    HI BONACHI!

    ReplyDelete

  8. Good Morning!!

    "psycho glitter bitch!" lol

I can't tell you how many times I have driven all the way through town just to find out there was a loop!

It is infuriating to do something the hard way just to find out that there was a simple way that no one bothered to tell you about til you were finished doing it the hard way.....

I am sure many of you have had the experience and would like to share that today......

    ReplyDelete
  9. Why didn't we see DeeDee in the video? Was her broomstick in the shop?

    ReplyDelete
  10. DEE DEE - Thanks for the hilarious video!!! Just what I needed to start my week off right!! lol @ "phycho glitter bitch"!!!

  12. lmao at Lynn D!!!!

Never liked Dorothy!!?? Come to think of it she was kinda silly....always talked like she was outta breath....I started loving Judy Garland after Liza was born.....

I liked the witch of the west...with her marching guards and flying monkeys..

And the Tin mans house was just wrong...I have never been in a gay mans house that wasn't just really "done".....

    ReplyDelete
  13. Bonachichi...

    I resemble that remark....

    ReplyDelete
  14. Carol, Mum used to infuriate me.One day Mr. B found me in the garage dropping F-Bombs and punching the air. Sometimes you just have to let it out.

    ReplyDelete
  15. DeeDee~ you reminded me of something the reps here do....one of my jobs is to help reps with any problems they may come across. Sometimes they call and rant and rave and yell and scream because they are so frustrated with something another rep did to a reservation and now "they have to deal with it!" I usually laugh (inside) and let them have their say, and most times, when they are done, I've fixed the reservation. Knocks the wind right out of their sails~ (I almost wrote sales!)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hodi~ I finally made it to work.....cough cough...3 hrs late~ :)~

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bonachichi~ no picking on my DeeDee~ shhhhhh....she doesn't know she's ugly....I tell her she's pretty~ :D

    ReplyDelete
  18. Carol~ my son pissed me off yesterday....took me half way thru mass before i wasn't pissed anymore....okay...3/4's of the way thru~ Then he did it again this morning....so I grounded him! Will that work for your dad? :D

    ReplyDelete
  19. OMG...that was hilarious! Thanks for the laughs, DEE DEE

    ReplyDelete
  20. OMG.....my image of my all time favorite movie is ruined. This office that I am sitting in right now with all the WOZ items surrounding me and I all I can picture is the fire coming out of the Tin Man's funnel.

DEEDEE: How could you when you obviously know my love for this group? I am guessing your next blog is that there is no Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc. Well, you will probably say the Tooth Fairy is the Tin Man!!! When reading the comments and the end of your blog regarding Denver, I got up right away at the crack of 2PM to read this. Not only am I heartbroken to think, could it be possible but I am missing valuable sleep. WHY THE HELL DIDI YOU HAVE TO TELL ME THIS?? I am going now as I have to take one of your pills and call my therapist. (Click Click, there's no place like home and the uncles were making passes at her)? Oh no, what happened to Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh no?

    ReplyDelete
  21. ZONA: Are we going to stand for this or are we going to protest this awful ending of our favorite movie? We need to think up a plan.

And my little pretties.(owls), don't think I'm not writing on MY stats list who is enjoying this ending!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Dianne Are you rallying your flying monkeys? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just stopping in real quickly.

Tina Congrats on first, yet again. *sigh*

Carol I hope you are feeling less pissed off now.

DeeDee What a fun way to start Monday! Thanks for the laughs! I know I have done things and made them a lot more difficult than they had to be. I just can't think of it at the moment.

I just had a leak fixed under the sink (hopefully). Apparently, the hose to the dishwasher had to be replaced. Now I am off to work for a little bit. I hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Waving a wing at you all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. omg omg omg~ Di....your reaction...classic~ :)~

p.s.~ why are you up so early?~

p.p.s.~ Janice thought it was hilarious, too~

    ReplyDelete
  25. OMG...J/L~ did you just call Di the wicked witch of the west? :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. So I went grossry shopping and some lady in the next aisle kept ranting at her kid. Damien quit doing that, Damien if you don't quit we will go home, Damien I said quit right now. All I could think was lady you named your kid Damien what the hell did you expect???

Di ummm just sayin' don't let a house fall on you. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Di, forget the house. You need to worry about DeeDee. We're doing a spectacular job of pissing her off.

This will be one of those lessons we learn the hard way, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tina Well, Di did expose her true self when she called us her little pretties. :D

    ReplyDelete
  29. That's right, I said it. Dianne is exposing herself in the nest. Where is that naughty mat?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I saw the best sign tonight in front of a church...

Prayer is a wireless call to G-D without roaming charges!

    I love church signs!

    ReplyDelete
  31. lol Mo~ I love them too~

    J/L~ I talked to Di....the woman is traumatized!!!!!~ lq~

LynnD~ The whole time I was reading ur post, I was thinking.....uh...they named him Damien~ duh!!~

    ReplyDelete
  32. Tina I am now thinking I maybe should have peeked around the corner to see if he was running her over with the cart or setting fire in cereal aisle.

    ReplyDelete
  33. lmbo LynnD~

Okay....this is how far behind I am on my tv watching~ I JUST now watched the tribute to Patrick Swayze~ so sweet~

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dianne..

    LOL.. hope the pill worked..

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lynn..

LMAO.. Damien.. I was thinking the same thing...

    ReplyDelete
  36. I will admit.. I am still pissed off, I tried my hardest to get in a better mood, but to no avail..

My dad caught a skunk in a animal friendly trap, put the trap in his car and took the skunk to the park. Never thinking that the skunk would spray while being trapped in a cage in a dark trunk.. Well needless to say it did, my fathers car was hit big time with that god awful smell.. To make matters worse, he puts the car in the garage instead of keeping it outside.. My poor mother scrubbed her hands dry using vinegar and everything else she can think of to try and get rid of the smell.. When I came home and pulled in the garage, I became more pissed.. calmly I told him to put his car outside, which he did. My car is sitting outside as well, as I don't want that fucking smell in my car.. I am sure it will be days before that smell goes away..

I don't know which is worse the vinegar or the skunk aroma..

so.. I am still pissed.. I do not blame this on age, I blame it on stupidity.. sorry just had to say that..

    ReplyDelete
  37. i'm so sorry Carol~ not only for what you are going thru....but I can't stop laughing~ You poor thing~ I still say....GROUND HIM!!!!~

    ReplyDelete
  38. CAROL...I can understand why you are pissed...but...that was funny! I know I wouldn't think so if it happened to me, but ya gotta admit it...it's funny!!! Sorry! Is your garage attached to the house? Did the smell permeate the house, too? Maybe call an exterminator and see if they have something to neutralize the odor. I'm sorry for laughing!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. ok, I'm not really sorry for laughing!!! If I was, then I would have stopped already ;)~

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh Mo~ I'm so glad you're here....I couldn't stop laughing either~ I was picturing Carol and her big family, including the Italian Stallions out for dinner, open bottles of wine, and everyone laughing over the whole thing! (of course....this whole picture is weeks from now!) :D

    ReplyDelete
  41. Carol Oh, yeah. The smell will linger for a loooonnnng time. There's an air spray called Orange Mate which is, as the name implies, almost straight orange fragrance, and it does a pretty good job of covering the skunk smell. As for the trunk of your dad's car, at pet stores you can find a product called Nature's Miracle Skunk smell remover.

    ReplyDelete
  42. That was funny! Thanks DeeDee

    Congrats on first Miss Tina.

Hello all..I hope everyone had a good Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Carol~ If it will help, I could come over and fart in your garage~

    ReplyDelete
  44. as i was typing....i was thinking...I never get 50!~ AND I STILL DON'T~

    ReplyDelete
  45. But you get #1 a lot and I never do.

    ReplyDelete
  46. TINA...they will laugh MANY weeks from now!!

My friends dad would trap racoons and take them to the park. The difference is he had a pickup truck and the racoons don't spray!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Carol: I always say, Better to be pissed off than pissed on. Sorry to hear you had such a pissy day. Sounds like the car got pissed on.

    ReplyDelete
  48. TINA...honey, if you fart in the garage I think the 2 odors would be combustible...BOOM!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've had skunks fight under my house before and spray, permeating the whole house. It's very difficult to sleep at night when that happens. Plus, my clothes and everything else smelled like skunk.

    ReplyDelete
  50. We have skunks around our house. In the mornings we sometimes go out and there will be that smell. One time my daughter and her friend were sleeping out in a tent and they saw the skunk. Needless to say, they came back in.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You are all welcome to laugh, cause when I told Vincent.. we cracked up..

It is funny.. and I so wish I could ground him.. maybe I will take away his remote to the TV.. that will surely get him..

    J/L..
Thanks I am going to look into your suggestions..

    Mo..
Yes the garage is attached to the house.. The smell has not climbed the stairs yet, but there is always tomorrow..

    ReplyDelete
  52. shew..I got so nervous, I just put 9...oops. Got it!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Okay, goodnight everybody..sweet dreams!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Seriously, what was he thinking?? Has he done this before? I bet he never does it again!

    ReplyDelete
  55. My father told me he has no luck, cause of all the animals (he is trying to catch a gopher) that could have gotten in the cage it had to be a skunk.. and I am thinking..

WHAT!!! you put a cage out with peanut butter in it, and geez you can get anything..

I think he thought the gopher was just gonna stroll right in the cage and that would be the end of it..

The funny part.. is we really live in a city, we are far from woods and expanding lands.. My father is like Pa Kettle in the middle of Times Square..

    :O)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Mo..

He would surely do it again..

The dreaded cage is still out there..

And I went to get peanut butter, and its all fucking gone..

    ReplyDelete
  57. LOL bebbi~ goodnight~

    I sleep with a skunk...and i have two more across the hallway~

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  59. Mo..

There is a corner in our backyard that my dad is convinced a gopher is digging.. its driving him crazy, he put bricks there but he is also convinced that the gopher moved the bricks... hmmmm.. I know..

    Hence the animal trap..

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rats like peanut butter, too. ijs

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ok.. I am cracking up on my comment..

    ReplyDelete
  62. Tina..

You have no idea how many times I typed "surly" and had to go back and retype "surely" once I typed "surley"

    ReplyDelete
  63. CAROL...HIDE THE CAGE! And the peanut butter!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  67. And a little gopher hard hat, gloves and tool belt!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Mo...

    ReplyDelete
  72. Tina..

    Yea, with his TV remote..

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  73. And the squirels all stand around chanting...move that brick, move that brick....

    ReplyDelete
  74. Poor Carol! OMG... what a story!

    Bebbi: You said:

"I always say, Better to be pissed off than pissed on."

Not all would agree with that sentiment!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Mo..

    I am losing it.. I can't breath..

    ReplyDelete
  76. Whabby..

    But some surely would.. ;o)

Who you kidding.. you love it..

    ;O)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Tina..

The ciggy is what keeps me sane..

    ReplyDelete
  79. The skunk will come back in a hummer limo and cry tears of joy to see its new home. And Thumper, the celebrity designer will hop around in spastic happiness!

    ReplyDelete
  80. WHABBY...you live in the Golden State...not the Golden Showers State!

CAROL...breathe, just don't inhale the skunkness!

    ReplyDelete
  81. and when the skunk comes back I hope the gopher eats him alive..

    ReplyDelete
  82. omg....i forgot to tell you...i had great news today~ Aunt Vera went to Heaven this morning~ :D On the first...she would have been 100 1/2~

    ReplyDelete
  89. i still can't get over that skunk!~

    ReplyDelete
  90. Since gophers eat plant roots, I don't know that they would care for peanut butter.

    ReplyDelete
  91. You are all cracking me up! I needed a little cheering. I went to visit my ex SIL . She is on high morphine doses. I am amazed at how alert she is. She gabbed the whole time I was there1 I was told that last night she was talking out loud to her deceased Mother and Grandfather. She pointed to the man next to her Mother and said "is that Grandfather?". Gave me the chills.
I am off to bed with a funny skunk story in my head and a little "tin porno" to boot lol! Niters all....

    ReplyDelete
  92. Carol, I am sorry about your Great Skunk Tragedy. Not sorry enough to stop laughing, but a little sorry.

    When Animals Attack.

Bad Things That Happen To Good People.

What a great video blog that would have made.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hmmm. I think we came full-circle, wort of. DeeDee mentioned learning the hard way, yes?
