A little slice of my life...

Our Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving came and went so quickly, I can't believe how fast my long weekend went. We spent Thanksgiving at my house entertaining the Italian Stallions and my dear SIL. We ate, drank, played games, and most important laughed. My mother was as giddy as a teenager. She loves her family and was thrilled that all went so well.

After Thanksgiving I headed down to Atlantic City (AC) to meet up with the Italian Stallions and extended family. I arrived on Saturday, and took a long walk on the boardwalk, the weather was perfect, not to cold. The walk felt so good, and my legs did not bother me once, so even tho I hate the treadmill, and I was thankful for it.

All that walking certainly made me parched, so, we did what anyone would do while in AC, hit the bar. We drank till we were swimming, no one had to drive so we were all relaxed and continued on our quest to drink as much as possible. My choice of drink, a red wine spritzer, so refreshing, and lite. The laughter throughout the day was infectious

We had a wonderful dinner at Carmines, and then went to hit the gambling tables. I did not gamble as I don't enjoy it so much, but everyone else did and they all did well.

I love doing things with my family, we get along so very well. It is surely a treasure. I would have not wanted my weekend to be anything other than what it was. Pure Perfection!

    Carol: Your weekend sounded fabulous! And, it made me a pine a little for the days when I was part of my family Thanksgivings, up in Thornbury Ontario. I have a photo of my Mom serving dinner as part of a "Thornbury Collage" down in Palm Springs, and these days, that's the closest I get! :(

    CAROL - Thank you for sharing yet again a "slice" of your family!!! And can I just say how beautiful your picture is?!!? GORGEOUS!!!

    It's been a crazy day, and I still have to go to my year-end meeting!! In this lousy economy I am very thankful to work for a company that hit it's gross profit goal @ Eastertime. And they are being VERY generous with us, their co-workers and gave us an extra 5% in our year-end cash bonuses!!! I'm taking the first $500 and putting it away for our weekend in Chicago!!!

    I hope everyone has a great evening. Oh, btw.....it's freakin' snowing here!!

    Good Afternoon Everyone -
    I just woke from my nap feeling good. When I feel well the first thing I want to do is to see what is happening on the blog. I loved your story Carol. I feel I know your family now. I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Ours was so long ago (October) I hardly remember it.

    Maureen - I must apologize for not getting to your blog until now. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I enjoy a night out but I pay for it the next day. I loved your story of pig collecting. I did the same thing with bears. I don't just collect the furry bears. If it relates to bears I have it,from wind chimes, banks to drink containers. The two things I am looking for are covers for light switches (with bears on them) and a bear ceiling lamp shade. I have looked in baby departments and thrift shops but I haven't found them yet. I will someday.

    Now that I am feeling energetic with less pain today I will try and decorate. Usually I am finished by now but this is a different year with a different body. Please remember if I don't blog I am still thinking of you all.

    Great pictures and Thanksgiving break for you, Carol. How fun! Your table is beautiful. When you said that about your mom being so happy, that is how I am on these days. I love my family. :) It is nice to have them around.

    Well howdy again, Hooters! I've just finished another short day. One day, someone will ask me to do something that doesn't take forever.

    A man, not associated with my clients, called me "Cutie" today. What? Maybe at 20, but... Cutie?? My clients heard it so they were calling me Cutie all day. With one word, I have lost any sliver of respect I might have had.

    Carol, Beautiful table and beautiful picture of you. My family always took before and after pictures of the table, but I don't know why. Who wants to see a half eaten turkey. So nice of you to share your familia with us.

    Dianne, I saw Spring Awakening in October. I didn't know anything about it before I went and I was quite surprised. Quite a few people left at intermission. In the performance I saw, there were people from the audience on the stage during the whole show? I didn't quite 'get' why. What did you think of the show?

    I am throwing out a new party date Dec. 31 and call it a New Years Eve party!

    Tho I did like Tina's suggestion Dec. 24 at Deedee's. I would love to see Deedee string her up for that invite. LOL

    I think we should shoot for the 19th, I have a dinner to attend, but I will be around in the afternoon, and of course at night.. Goldie is having her party but she said she can stop by, and Jodi said she would stop by to.. Plus that gives me three weeks to do the blog.. and if I don't get it done I can work on it Friday Nite.. with no worries of work the next day..
