I can't watch the Olympics without crying. Happens every time, no matter who wins. Everyone has a story. They are always overcoming something, whether it be a tragedy, like the Canadian figure skater who lost her mother, or an injury, like little Miss Vonn who pretty much hurt everything! I took a break from it all on Saturday to watch Saturday Night Live. Why did I think I would get away from the Olympics? This skit had me on the floor laughing.
When the Olympics started, our guests from Mexico were here. We were comparing the fact that the United States had over 200 athletes competing while Mexico only had one, a 51 yr old Alpine skier. He didn't even come close to medaling. I have a feeling not everyone is as excited about the Winter Olympics as those of us from the United States and Canada~

omg......so funny~
ReplyDeletey muy bonita~ :D
ReplyDeleteGood morning!
ReplyDeleteOkay, now that everyone is gone for the day, it's back to bed for me.
ReplyDeleteTina. I can't see your avatar on my hone but I'm sure you're lovely.
Good morning TINA & SLIN!!
ReplyDeleteTINA ..... so freakin' funny!!!
Been fighting a headache all night, so I'm heading back to bed.
I hope everyone has a good Monday.
I meant phone not hone, although maybe a hone would be easier to type on.
ReplyDeleteMorning Glories!
ReplyDeleteTina Eunice is so beautiful this morning!
That skit was cute. It does make you wonder about people in warm climates and if they really do think this is all insanity. LOL
I did not cry but was very excited for all of the athletes and teams who medaled. It is so fantastic to see the joy on their faces and sad for the others who have competed their hearts out. All winners everyone!
Jodi and J/L waving at you! Get some rest.
good morning......
ReplyDeletethat sketch was funny.....
you do have to admit....some of those sports are kinda retarded....I wondering what curling was....I had pictured people getting their hair done....
I watched nothing so I have no opinion about it....Well I have one....but it doesn't count since I didn't watch...well it counts ok....I just need to pray about it...WELL there ya go...meds haven't kicked in....."pray about it...omg"
I did hear the radio this morning....Two guys with a morning show who are very funny apparently.....they were talking about that Delta flight that was grounded because of because of the "big breasted brawling space waitresses".....they would trying to figure out what the fight could have been about...
One guy said..."well you got that cart moving around and you have your pusher and your puller... maybe one was tired of pulling and wanted to push"...
its funny yes...but they should be slapped with the same penalties that anyone about that aircraft would have been......not to mention fired.....I know that one couple missed a non-refundable cruise because of it.....not to mention all the other missed connections......
I personally would have escorted the heifers off the plane....closed the door and let the cockpit crew be none the wiser......then I would have grabbed the intercom and explained to the passengers that we could go or be cancelled....and I figured they would rather go and leave the nuts behind.....and make their connections....even if I would be a little slower getting the peanuts passed out......
Hello Hooters. Tina, very pretty today and a cute blog. I watched a total of about 30 minutes of curling and that without sound. I didn't hear the stories. I am amidst a large movement to boycott NBC consisting of me, Ernie the Fat Chihuahua and Dolf the now- deceased goldfish.
ReplyDeleteDeeDee, I thought you were high, rambling on about pushing, pulling and peanuts. It's a real thing! Forget shoving them out the door, I'd have gotten to cruising altitude and yelled, "FIRE!". See which one of them jumps.
ReplyDeleteDeeDee. I hadn't heard that story. I am shocked! You mean Delta still hands out peanuts?
ReplyDeletelol....Lynn D...
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on a commercial airliner in many years....lol....I am just assuming they still pass out peanuts.....
I guess people need to watch this....

I MEANT J/L!!!! God!! I just had a dizzy spell J/L....please forgive me.....
ReplyDeleteDeeDee. You are forgiven. Maybe they hand out those styrafoam peanuts for old time's sake.
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone!
ReplyDeleteTINA: "When we return..more freezing insanity"..LOL..loved it! I actually like the Winter Olympics because I live where the 'sun shines and it's warm'..I like to see people play in the snow!! ;)
J/LIN: I saw your post in 51..dang you worked late yesterday..were you able to get some rest today?
JODI: Headaches suck..I hope you're feeling better. :)
BONACHI: What happened to poor Dolf?
DEEDEE: Delta actually passes out an array of snacks..at least they did a couple years ago. I think you can choose from 4 or 5 things!
LYNND: We're fascinated.. ;)
DIANNE: Welcome home! I can't wait to hear how the cruise went..don't leave anything out when you write that blog!! :D
Well it rained here all weekend and the weeds have made a resurgance. I've already pulled a bunch of them..time to go and pull some more. I really love when it rains..just hate what it does to a gravel lawn!
Have a good day everyone!
GOLDIE: I've got the light on for you!!
ReplyDeleteMARY: Have fun in the sand! ;)
..resurgence..sheesh..
OMG! I just got home...worked 8:30-7:00...and I am soooo tired. I didn't eat lunch until 3:00. Why did everyone come to get their taxes done today, they have 2 more months!?
ReplyDeleteTina I'm so tired today I think your picture looks gorgeous!
Can't watch the video but I'm sure it's funny as hell.
I really enjoyed the Olympics. Unlike some of you I like to watch Curling. Not as big a hockey fan though, except when it is something like the Olympics.
Well, I'm going to say hi to everyone and good night to everyone. I have to get some supper, take a shower and go to bed. (((((HUGS)))))
TINA...didn't see the skit, but the first thing I thought of was the Jamaican bobsled team!
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I noticed was that so many of the athletes from other countries actually train in the US.
I think airlines gave up peanuts for pretzels, due to nut allergies. If all the attendants are brawling, who would stab the ailing passenger with the Epi pen? LOL!
ZONA...hope this makes you happy...we had the snowiest February in recorded history! We even had more snow then our snowbelt area!
The snowiest?? I guess an Inconvienent Truth is now an Incovenient Weather Pattern.
ReplyDeleteZona, I don't know what happened to Dolf. One morning he was fine, eyes and mouth bulging. I came home in the afternoon and he was a floater. I felt bad but I've never had a goldfish live more than a week or two.
ReplyDeleteI loved that vid.. I did not see SNL.. so funny.. and yes Tina you are right I guess not all were excited about the Olympics..
ReplyDeleteLOL
Mo..
ReplyDeleteI noticed that to this year.. many train here in NJ.. which shocked me..
MoJo~ I thought of the Jamaican bobsled team as well~ We met them here....have a picture with my oldest~ They autographed a cap for us~ They were so cute and funny~
ReplyDeleteoh....and I have peanuts all the time....it's the only time I eat them~ (unless they are chocolate covered, and then I'm all over them!) :D
Zona. Actually, I worked for several hours in the afternoon but one of the reports I run and the actual monthly statements can't be run until the hospital is closed for the night so I didn't go back in until after The Amazing Race was over.
ReplyDeleteI like the Olympics, winter and summer.
ReplyDelete25 and sweet dreams.
