Playtime

by Zona

This really is a cute video, but I have to admit that the first time I saw it, I had a fleeting thought that this play session could end badly. I'm curious to hear what you think though...cute?...or could this have been a disaster? Would you have let your baby or grandbaby play with the dog this way?

  1. The dog and kid in the vid were just having fun.....

I suppose it could have ended badly....the kid could have bitten the dog but usually dogs are smart enough to stay clear of the kids teeth....if they have any...

That collie was going for the SNORT wasn't it!!

  5. Morning glories!

Deedee you are so much prettier than Tina!!! imjs

Zona I was way more worried about the baby being so close to the pointy, razor edge freaking coffee table. The dog was just playing and obviously loves that little one.

    Shirley sending (((Hugs))).

Sorry I was MIA yesterday but it is end of month paper work again and yesterday was a bitch of a day. To long and involved to go into right now.

Need to finish up online as I have more paper work and laundry to do today. Waving at everyone!

  8. DeeDee, I thought Tina was the little stinker! Well after your 5th comment I didn't even notice lol!
I am sure you smell better than my jeep did a few weeks ago!

Our puppy does the same run around "woofing" when something new is added to the room. She circles like crazy and woof woofs until it is removed or she gets used to it. She has never attacked anything.I have to admit I was a little nervous watching the vid. At least it wasn't a Rottweiler.

LynnD, I have been doing a lot of paperwork for out VFW Aux. Not complicated but time consuming. We now have to file tax forms even if we are a non profit. Our tax fiscal year ends June 30.I have to go online and fill out an E-Postcard 990-N. Pretty simple.

Diane, I still have my toes & fingers crossed! Hurry from Dr please!

  9. DeeDee You look devine this morning. Now I know the answer to the mystery of the disappearing bees. Your zorch is buzzing.

LynnD LOL @ an FDS scent called Honey Pot. It sounds somehow pornish.

Dianne Good luck today. I hope you get to change casts.

Mary I need an idea for dinner tonight. What are you making? I always want what you're making. : )

Zona That was a really cute vid. Thanks for the giggles.

  12. Zona, I think that video was so cute and I'm sure the parents knew the dog well enough to know it wouldn't hurt the baby.

Like Lynn I was more worried about the coffee table. I immediately thought of the time Chad fell (he was almost two) and hit his chin on the baby sitter's coffee table. His tongue was sticking out and he bit it so hard he had to have stitches in his tongue. Consequently, he spent three days in the hospital in case his tongue swelled and cut off his breathing.

  14. DeeDee, How pretty you are today. LOL @ the baby biting the dog.

Lynn, Try not to stress over the paperwork. :)

Dianne, fingers crossed that you don't have to have another cast.

Mary, The best thing I make for dinner is reservations.

J/L, see above for dinner idea!

  15. ZONA!! So stinkin' cute!! The dog is exactly like my bro's Sheltie. Total spazzo when someone new walks in. I think the most danger the baby was in was being licked to death ;)

Waving a wing @ DEE DEE (lol @ it's 9:44...do you know where your blog comments are?), LYNN, DIANNE (how did your appt go?), MARY, SLIN & BARB!!

Heading out to take my in-law's out for dinner. It's their 49th wedding anniversary ♥

  16. Shirley: My thoughts and prayers are with you.

All: I just want to let you know that I am going to take a break from the internet for a while. I did the stupidest thing ever and I got caught up in a blog and someone's words and thought they were going to or did hurt themself. I tried to get them help and made a complete fool of myself in the mean time.

Kathy: thanks for the facebook message..I will be fine.

I just need to get away from it, I got so caught up and I am so embarrassed. It was the best of intentions going so wrong.

I really cared about the person.

  17. Hi hooters,

Zona, that was such a cute video! I too thought the baby might hit himself on the coffee table!

The dog loves the baby, you can tell.

Congrats on 1st today Dee Dee! You are so lovely!

We spent today in Sacramento with MR. E's mother. She told us she finally bought a house and she is in escrow.

WRONG! The first thing I asked the realtor was why is there still a lock box and a for sale sign?

He explained that the house is a short sale and it can take months for the bank to accept her offer.

So here she is thinking she has bought a house when she hasn't. She misunderstood and the realtor either didn't realize she misunderstood, or he didn't explain the situation.

Anyway, I told her to keep looking.

She's been trying to buy a house over 1 1/2 years now with NO luck.

We stopped in Lodi on the way home, and went to a great bird store we like. Bought Poe some toys and treats.

Hope everyone had a good day today!

  18. OMFG...I thought the pooch was gonna rip the baby apart limb by limb and then cover her in salsa and have a fiesta :)~

    Just kidding!

ZONA...I have seen the video and it is so darn cute! We had a sheltie like that...Laddie and she was the kindest and sweetest crazy-ass dog in the world! And smart, too. She was so gentle and protected my brother and me to no end. The only time she ever showed any aggression was when my brother and his friend were boxing and she thought Steve was hurting Mike and when they were done and Steve went up to her she ripped a chunk of his arm out!! My mom warned him and he wouldn't listen!

Thanks for the blog and the smiles it brought. Nothing better then the laughter of a baby.

BEBBI...I'm sure you were doing what you thought was right had only the best intentions. I hope YOU forgive yourself.

    Smells like gardenias in here.

    SHIRLEY...hope your doing ok today.

    DIANNE...what happened at the DR?

JUST LIN...what did you and MARY have for dinner? LOL!

I will be leaving in the morning for Dayton for the wedding. I hope the hotel has a computer center so I can check in.

    Hopefully, be back soon!

Oh and adios to LeBron...hope the door doesn't hit him in the ass on the way out. Rat Bastard!!

  23. Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the comments on my blog today! Sorry I'm so late..Mr Z needed the computer for a project for work. I think work needs to buy Mr Z his own computer..don't you? ;)

I guess that one of the reasons the dog in the vid worried me at first was because Nikki runs around just like that when I sit on the floor. She's head butted me more than once..lol..

DEEDEE: Congrats on being prettiest today..lol at the baby biting the dog..

LYNN: I hope you were able to take some time for yourself today!

DIANNE: So..did you get das boot? I hope you're much more comfortable tonight! :)

MO: Mr Z was on the edge of his seat about LeBron..me, not so much. We were hoping he would stay in Cleveland though..ungrateful wretch! ;)

    J/LIN: Mr Z barbqued tonight..it was delish!!

TINA: I'm so glad to hear that your dad is in remission..he'll be in my prayers as always..I hope he feels better soon..
