Everyone got tired of listening to my Glee CD's so I put the other CD's I got for Christmas into my car CD player. I won't freak you out with my Christmas CD, but the other two are Michael Jackson's This is It. I tried to pick my favorite song, but there are so many. I had forgotten that the video for Thriller is like a mini film. Enjoy~
Thrill her!!!~
ReplyDeletewell theres 13 minutes of my life I'll never get back.....good lord..
ReplyDeletewell honey....if you compare it to the length of the life that you've already lived, it's like 1/2 of a blink of your one eye~ ijs~ :D
ReplyDeleteA "Thriller"would have been more like Johnny Depp, or G. Clooney, ijs. Too early for Michael.....
ReplyDeleteToo early for cat fight "ladies".
ReplyDeleteI said that in a most loving way :)
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm~ sounds like the "farmer" wants to be punched~ Ijs~
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of "farmer", missy "Farmaholic!!
ReplyDeleteUh, I guess DeeDee's not a Michael Jackson fan?
ReplyDeleteThe Thriller vid marks a time when Michael Jackson was accepted by all. The public loves a scandal and we (me included) were only too happy to bare our teeth to him at the slightest whisper of deviation from mainstream living. Now, I wish I hadn't. Like Elvis for many, MJ was a gift to my generation. Sure, he was no saint, but I think he made the world a better place. Thanks for the memory, Tina.
Ah, Mary... I didn't see you. Some nerve, jumping between Tina & DeeDee. Want me to call the body-part store?
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Owls.
ReplyDeleteTina, How pretty you are. This vid brings back memories of kid #3's 12th birthday party. The video was just made available for rental from Blockbuster so we got it for the kids to watch. I think we played it 100 times or so because all the kids were memorizing the steps. It was really a lot of fun, even for us old people. :)
BTW, is Tina2 still in Greece?
Sackie~ what a fun party for #3~ Tina2 is in Phoenix with her brothers and father~ Before that, she was camping with them and her uncle and cousin~ That girl is staying home the entire month of August!!!!
ReplyDeleteBonachichi~ Don't listen to the DeeDee~ She loves MJ~ She even got a ticket for his memorial service!~
Well the cable guy just left and yes, he was a hottie, kinda. My phone has been out for over a week and they finally got someone out here to fix it at 7:15am. So all is well with the world again.
ReplyDeleteBonachichi, I don't know if I would credit MJ for making the world a better place, well, maybe the music world.
Mary, Yeah, George or Johnny would definitely be a thriller!
Dee, You could have turned it off before you lost the whole 13 minutes!
Waving a wing to all the other Owls. I hope you all have a great day.
Tina, Is your family visiting Zona? ~
ReplyDeleteHey Bonachi, I am a middle child, remember?
ReplyDelete;-) I can make with peace or havoc lol!!
Hi SacBarb!
ReplyDeleteTina, Looks like your miniTina has the traveling bug! Oh to be young again and going to the places she has been and going to go...maybe in August lol!!
Sackie~ She's visiting Ari-Zona~
ReplyDeleteMary~ you travel just as much as she does~
ok everybody just pipe down already....
ReplyDeleteI love Michael Jackson....he was a musical genius.....
I had never watched thriller...because it seemed silly....and as far as I am concerned...after seeing it today...it was......
I loved Michaels dancing ability....and songs like BEN...GONE TOO SOON...ROCKIN'ROBIN....the list is extensive...omg...BILLY JEAN....I'LL BE THERE
and I think he was one of the most misunderstood people ever....
Princess Diana said she would have left Great Britain if not for her boys.....she could never understand the press tearing her down and whatever good she was trying to do in the world...
Same for Michael Jackson....the hell and humiliation he was put through for loving children was unforgivable....
Same thing has happened to Joan Rivers....no one has worked harder and done more good without ever needing her name on a building or headline for her generosity...yet people dislike her for her plastic surgery....
Shit!
DeeDee, put down the factual public records, recorded events and pull your head out of your arse!! Don't you know that the Enquirer and the Star are the mental powerhouses of the modern era?
ReplyDeleteI saw a collection of home movies with MJ after he died. They didn't show him to be a monster, just the opposite. This is probably why it really didn't get any attention. People need to have their scandal. Headlines like, "MJ donates $30 mil" just aren't fun. Sad, really. Who says the witch hunts ended in the 1600's?
Tina: Way to go on first, so pretty and I love Thriller...wow. Thrill her..haha.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is having a great Sunday..going to read comments
DeeDee: LOL! Not quite Leornard Bernstein, huh. lol but hey..what the heck!
ReplyDeletebonachichi: I agree, I do believe he made the world a better place.
ReplyDeleteBarb: Wow, the cable guy works on Sunday and he's a hottie..woah..what more could you ask for/??...!
ReplyDelete24
ReplyDelete25 for old times sake
ReplyDeleteBebbi, Yes, I was surprised too and they gave me an appointment time between 7am and 8am, not the whole friggin day, AND he was on time (7:15). Except for the fact that I had to call three times and my phone was screwed up for over a week, I am a happy camper. :D
ReplyDeleteMichael Jackson did change the world...we all hopefully do our part to make things better....but Michael had the world as his stage for the things he did....
ReplyDeleteI want to mention a couple of things....In 1984 a 13 year old boy named Ryan White was infected with HIV and given 6 months to live and was expelled from middle school. AIDS was poorly understood then and when he tried to return to school parents rallied against him...
Michael Jackson befriended Ryan...he became the national poster child for HIV...he had been infected thru a blood transfusion....it was crucial for people like Michael Jackson to stand up for these people who were so badly treated out of ignorance.....Ryan lived five years longer than predicted and died in April 1990...one month prior to his high school graduation.
Very important legislation was passed by congress after his death... the Ryan White Care Act... Ryan White Programs are the largest provider of services for people living with HIV/AIDS in the United States......
Michael wrote and performed a song at Ryans funeral titled..."Gone Too Soon'.....
the other thing I want to mention is another song that Michael wrote in 1985 with Lionel Richie which to date has raised over 63 million dollars for African Famine Relief.....I am sure you all are familiar with it....
its called We Are The World
...to say that Michael Jacksons contributions only changed the music world is incorrect....music and dance is one universal language that connects every single one of us on the planet.....so his genius and his magic did change the music world...thus changing the entire world....
Fame of this respect is to be appreciated for all the changes it made happen......
DeeDee: Well SAID! :) I know about Ryan White...followed that closely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, DeeDee.
ReplyDeleteIt really saddens me that people today allow the media to think for them. We swallow everything the media feeds us. What a sad state for humanity.
30..because it makes it tidy.
ReplyDeleteTINA - Love this video!! We were one of the first houses in my neighborhood with MTV and remember watching the world premiere of Thriller!! It was the cutting edge at the time....and still "thrills me"!! Michael was definitely a very talented person, a selfless humanitarian, brother, son and a father. I especially enjoy "Earth Song". I have both the cd and the dvd of "This Is It"!! I love them both!!
ReplyDeleteWaving a wing @ DEE DEE, MARY, BONACHICHI, BARB & BEBBI!!
ReplyDeleteDo you guys remember the song, "Say Say Say", the duet with Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney? The vid was filmed at Neverland Ranch. It was during that shoot that MJ decided to buy the rights to the Beatles' songs. PM was more than a little peeved about it and the two had a falling out. I have no point, just some trivia.
ReplyDeleteTina.. Love this video.. its so classic Michel Jackson, I have not seen it in a while, it was good to see it again.. Thanks 4 sharing..
ReplyDeleteI had a great weekend.. did hardly any work at all.. really just
ReplyDeletechilled and hit some stores to stock up on things needed for the BBQ..
