As we light the Christmas tree?
Are we immune to cookies,
Christmas cards and Christmas glee?
At the Christmas candle's glow?
Are we blasé about our gifts;
Do we shun the mistletoe?
For merry or for jolly?
Do the decorations leave us cold,
The ornaments and holly?
To love the Christmas magic.
A year without a Christmas
Would be boring, even tragic.
The feasting and good cheer;
O Christmas, lovely Christmas,
You're the highlight of the year!
HA! The only Jewish one gets 1st!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my feathered friends! I hope Santa was very kind to you all. Can't wait to hear what he brought you!
LYNN...any update?
Merry Christmas Glories
ReplyDeleteEva Marjorie Dean was delivered this morning in an Emergency situation. She seems to be adjusting according to Mr. Lynn D who just got home. They are monitoring her heart and breathing and she had low blood sugar. I will know more when we go up later today.
We will be taking Ritchie up to see Mom and Dad and his new sister and taking a couple of his xmas presents up to open with them. Should have pics later today.
AH! A Christmas baby! What a fantastic gift!!
ReplyDeleteShall we call her Jorie!?
Good Morning Maureen!
That is just too exciting....
Lynn...you didn't happen to see 3 foreigners on camels did you...with gifts? Or any farm animals milling about did you?
Well if that not the ultimate Christmas I don't know what is....
Best Wishes to everyone...especially little Eva Marjorie Dean.....
Just plain joyful!!
oh!! ...sorry about the avatar...I wasn't expecting a BABY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning!
ReplyDeleteMo, congrats on 1st and being so lovely!
I think Chinese food on Christmas sounds delish, by the way!
Lynn, so happy for the new Christmas baby. Love the name Eva!
Was she born by c-section? It is very common for c-section babies to have low blood sugar and sometimes have breathing issues, just for the fact that they don't get the benefit of being "squeezed" through the birth canal. So sometimes have residual fluid in the lungs.
They usually do very well! We used to monitor the c babies for a few hours in the nicu, then they would go stay with mom.
Looking forward to seeing pics of her!
Waiting for MR. E to get up so we can get our day started.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to EVA MARJORIE DEAN! May G-D watch over you and bless you with strength and health. Blessings to your mommy, daddy and big brother too!
ReplyDeleteG'morning DEE DEE and EBJ!
Welcome, Eva Marjorie Dean!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd if I may be so bold, I've opened up Owl Manor for an impromptu Christmas drop in! The great room is decorated and the Manor staff is all set to serve a wide assortment of refreshments and traditional forms of Christmas victuals.
Do drop in!

Lynn, Sending love and good thought's for Eva, mommy...all of you♥♥
Christmas is going better than I thought it would. Must admit, I really wasn't looking forward to it. Olivia and Jaz came over last night...just had a simple dinner and lot's of laugh's. Jaz surprised me with a drawing she did of Boz and Ruby. It's really good. I've been wanting her to make me a drawing for some time. Dummy me...when I opened it, I asked who drew it... Even though I know how good she is. It was a well kept secret and I was almost speechless. Imagine that!
Today we have to go to see my FIL and then meet up with my son and g-daughters. Wasn't sure we'd get to see them because my DIL just had an appendectomy.
Mary, how much snow do you have up there? We only have a couple of inches. Seem's like all the snow storms are going around us this year. They have more in Ft.Wayne and Indy than we do. I hope it stay's this way.
Lin, Carol...I'm hoping since I got some of my stress out on that squash..I'll be in better place to start showing up more. ;o)
Shirley, thinking about you today...just cuz...I love ya!
Wishing you all Happy Day! xoxox

ReplyDeleteMO Well, of course you'd get first today, Silly. We are a little preoccupied. Have some potstickers for me with chili oil and vinegar. Yum!
ReplyDeleteDeeDee It's so nice of you to use pics of yourself in your younger years as your avatars. I see you used to be a brunette. Yesterday's pic was especially nice as you were photographed from your "good" side. ;)
ReplyDeleteEBJ The wind and rain have started.
ReplyDeleteBear Thank you for laying out the fine spread today. What goes well with a Bloody Mary? Oh, I know! I'll just park myself over here by the prawns and cocktail sauce. Then, of course, I'll move over to the fudge. Fudge goes with everything. :)
ReplyDeleteBirdee What a thoughtful and meaningful gift the drawing of Boz and Ruby is. It's things like that that really make the holiday special.
ReplyDeleteZona Where you find the time to do all the baking you do during the holiday is a mystery to me. It must be something in the Arizona air. Either that, or heat stroke. LOL
ReplyDeleteLynn I am saying a prayer for ur baby and daughter. I sendd that and hugs to u
ReplyDeleteHodi Simmering soup sounds wonderful on this rainy day. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your dad.
