Laughing Baby
by Shirley
Who needs to spend hundreds of dollars on toys...just buy some paper!!
that child has been on every morning show and website for over a week....the world is apparently fascinated by this strange baby...
I think his parents are immeasurably stupid for showing this video of their own and their child's odd behavior to the world...
In my day that baby would have been hidden from view...
I'll take that "dancing baby" or babies on skateboards any day...ijs..
I saw a baby on Oprah's "Most Talented Kids" show the other day belch the most famous aria from Madame Butterfly..."Un bel dì" in its entirety....now THAT baby has a future!!
SHIRLEY: Awwww...that was just too cute for words. I've never seen the video, it was an absolute delight! Thanks for the smiles, and giggles this morning!
DEEDEE: You missed a spot... ;)
MARY: Have a good time today! Laugh, relax and enjoy! I'm glad your back is feeling better! :)
BONACHI: Thanks! You do the same! :)
LYNN: Nothing better than a baby's laugh..it's just pure, innocent joy!
Today I've got to tackle mounds of paper that needs to be shredded..I know I'm going to think of this video as I tear the paper up and it's going to make me smile all day long!
DeeDee: Nice Bam... And, I apologize to you but really that dog was the cutest thing!! She was a Yorkie..and just adorable. If she was scared she would snarl like that which was really cute. So, it was a compliment..really.
I'm glad the rest of you liked it. Thanks for the comments!
After the lousy day I've had, coming here and seeing that baby laughing was nice. The last three days I have had a couple who have asked me to do their taxes three different ways. None of which have satisfied them. Finally yesterday she told me what to do. I printed all the papers off and had it ready for them to sign. They came in and told me it was wrong and not what they had wanted. The have gone home to think things over and will let me know maybe by tomorrow. This is very frustrating. I always try to make the client happy. I really went out of my way to please this couple and they still aren't happy. It just makes me doubt my abilities and I hate that, and myself for letting it make me feel like crap.
SHIRLEY...I can't watch this, but if it is a laughing baby then it is perfect in my book! There is nothing more precious then that sound of a baby laughing from deep down in their belly! Thanks SHIRLEY!! When I go to the library again I will def watch this...repeatedly!!!
As for the trolls, I mean clients...FORGET them. It is their deficiencies...NOT yours that is the problem. You ARE good at your job, or your boss wouldn't bring you back each year. How many different ways are there to do the taxes?
Maureen I did it 4 different way. 1- as a common-law couple with her claiming the child 2- as a common-law couple with him claiming the child 3- both single with her claiming the child 4- both single with him claiming the child. It doesn't sound that difficult but with our program there were a number of things to change each time. Usually people decide what they are going to do BEFORE they get into the office. Now I may have to put up with them again tomorrow, unless I can pretend to be sick.
Shoulda turned up my security...look what flew into my email...hahahahaha!
From BIRDEEEEEE...
Shirley, Thanks for the laugh...love the video and I needed it... I saw a video today on tv of a boxer being brought back to life with CPR....made me think of Ruby...wishing she could have been saved. (Guess I needed the cry today, too.)
Sorry you had a bad day. I hope tomorrow is better♥
Hi to Everyone!!! Hugs, too♥♥
Damn blogger acct. won't let me log in......sending this to Mo to post for me.....I'm still cussing MO!!!!!! ha!
OMG...BIRDEEEEE was cussing more then any trucker or sailor I ever heard! Damn good thing she didn't give up swearing for lent or she would have had an engraved invitation from hell in her mailbox tomorrow!!!!
SHIRLEY: You're very good at what your do, they just can't make up their frickin' minds. Good news is, there doesn't seem to be many more ways you can prepare their taxes, so they are just going to have to choose. Sit back and let them decide..your job is done..and done..and done! Hang in there..they'll be gone soon. :)
BIRRRDDDEEEE!! I hope it took you and MO at least 10m to post..otherwise..I win!! :D
I'm sorry you were sad today..I know how hard this has been on you, I really do. Sending lots of love your way.♥♥
MO: Yikes! Did you inquire as to the condition of the squash? ;)
DIANNE: LOL I thought you said I was shedding and wetting..what a combo! ;)
Bonach I did have a pretty great day, thank you. I went shopping and actually found two tops and a open-knit sweater vest type thing that I like. Also, got some M.A.C. lipsticks that I really like and went to Curves. Took myself out to dinner, too. Now I'm watching my telly. I hope you had a great day, too.
Shirley2 Those clients are jerks. You might suggest to them that they find someone else to do their taxes next year. Bonach had a good idea about what they should be charged.
Just lin if these had been private clients I would have told them to hit the road! But in the office I can't do that. Maybe they will come in when I am busy and Valarie will have to deal with them. I have entered and reentered their data so many times I'm afraid of screwing it up again. Only 8 weeks left.
Question for all you mothers out there: We know that babies can and do cry as soon as they are born. But how old are they before they start to really belly laugh?
Bam....

Mo loved your blog from yesterday. I was going to comment yesterday but ended up watching the kids and then crashing when Mr. Lynn D got home.

Hmmm Mary is a Petti akin to Petting are you saying you are having an afternoon delight petting sessions? :) Made me smile.

SHIRLEY: I love this baby. U can't help b ut laugh and smile and I am smiling thinking of ZONA shredding, laughing and wetting.
ReplyDeleteDon't let people make u doubt yourself, SHIRLEY. There r some people u just can't satisfy
Shirley, I'm thinking it's not you they're unhappy with. It's the amount of taxes they have to pay. They're blaming the messenger, you.
ReplyDeleteGive them a bill for 3X your fee. Then reduce it by half when they complain, and you know they will. Call it your pain-in-the-arse fee.
I just felt someone putting words in my mouth...
ReplyDeletekinda sour...and tart...
does somebody need a hag?
OMG!! I MEANT HUG!!!
let me try that again...
does somebody need a hag?
F**K!! Somethings wrong with this thing!!
smashes keyboard and storms out...

Expecting a winter storm again tomorrow. FUUUUUCK
DEE DEE...I have only one word for you today...VENUS!!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Julia Roberts at the Oscars with a sleeveless gown and pit hair so long you could make corn rows with beads! ICK!
Oh, Shirley, I needed that laughing baby today. :)
ReplyDeleteNot my best day either Shirley for various reasons.
20 for the number of pounds of Mac & Cheese I ate tonight.
ReplyDeleteMaureen I did it 4 different way.

ReplyDeleteShirley Sounds to me like you did not screw it up. They were just hoping for better results, as in...money back.
