Neither Blonde Nor Female....

by Bonachichi

These contractors are installing steel pillars in concrete to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement outside a Sports Bar downtown. They are now in the process of cleaning up at the end of the day and anxious to go home. How long do you think it'll be before they realize where they parked their truck?

  1. Well I didn't think it was THAT bad! It's not insulting, not controversial.

Good morning Hooters! We haven't used that word for a while here. Happy Thursday!

  2. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Isn't that beautiful? ....as far as the bible goes I mean....

I have been thinking a lot about how to save the conservative "Christians" from themselves....but in a nice caring way. To help them understand their fear and see their ignorance....and know that they really can do what I know is in their hearts. They really can stop fighting their fears and love their brothers and sisters...

I can't imagine the relief one would feel to truly know they can release all their hate and....for a Christian...actually be like Christ...

When people are bombarded with the likes of Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin in the media....I think "what can I do?"...

One person at a time is usually the situation I find myself in...but thats fine. Its amazing how eager a lot of people are to know more about what goes on in the world around them...

Its also amazing how many people don't feel that they want to know or get involved because they don't think they make any difference...

I think the uprising in Wisconsin was pretty amazing and I believe the Governor has bought himself a recall...I hope so...

Are your convictions strong enough to do everything you can to promote and protect them?

Are you a "sidelines" sort of person hoping for the best without participating?

What do you actively do to back-up and strengthen the things that are important to you and our country...

For example...in my support of womens right...marriage equality and equal rights across the board for ALL citizens...I have made it a point to know who does and does not support the causes important to me...so that I can avoid shopping...eating...or investing money with them....

It may sound small but if half the voters in this country would join forces like we just saw in Egypt...and are witnessing in Libya...and Wisconsin...the government on the state level or ANY level wouldn't be running our lives!!

We would be running theirs.....as it should be...

All this is stemming from all the people I am hearing talk out of their buttholes....old Newt discussing the sanctity of marriage...Huckabee talking about Obama growing up in Kenya....just to plant that seed in the brains of the weak minded...I honestly can't remember when the GOP's entire everything was totally built on deceit and lies...I'd rather have the Mafia in control of the house rather than these criminals...

And that spray-tanned cry-baby...don't even get me started.....

Oh!! Thats funny T-Bird....I have certainly painted myself into a corner more than once...lol

  4. Thank you, Dianne. It's not my first time being first (I think that's what you meant, Butterfingers) but I don't like to stand out normally. You know, me being shy and all.

  6. Funny Bonachi! Why am I not surprised lol!!
If anyone has a remedy for an earache please let me know. This, 2 weeks before flying to Miami to meet my cruise ship! Earaches and airplanes do NOT mix!!

Hi DeeDee!! "saying in a nice caring way", I love your passion, but remember not All "conservative "Christians" fit your profile, and there are many non conservative Democrats that do *ducking* and leaving...

  7. Bonach Thanks for the blog today. That's a hoot. You look gorgeous today. Btw, I show up here periodically in the wee hours of the morning and use the term "HOoters" It's just that no one is here to see it.

  8. DeeDee I was a little concerned for a minute there. I thought some kind of coral was attached to your head. But now that my allergies and asthma have kicked in, I see it is a bunch of FEATHERS! I think I will sit on the other side of the room.

You are definitely more conscientious than I am about where you shop, etc. I really admire you for that.

  9. Oh, DeeDee there are some women's rights issues that I feel so strongly about that they are absolute deal breakers as far as if someone gets my vote or not.

  10. Dianne Interesting typing. LOL If you were speaking that way I'd wonder if the dentist had his hands in your mouth again.....or maybe something else? ;)

  11. Mary Run, do not walk, to the doctor and get that cleared up before your flight!

  12. Mary....just talking about people who think they are better than other people...and entitled to more because of it....and attempt to accomplish their goals in the name of God....while many times they are turning tricks in airport restrooms...or in the case of John Edwards...a democrat....being so good at deception that you can have a go at the Presidency.....

The whole thing is just so fucked up....

I hate to say this because I believe Obamas got what it takes...but for some reason he hasn't been about to lead...I would hate to think its because of the color of his skin....

We need a leader that is respected on both sides of the political spectrum....John F. Kennedy comes to mind....

Where is this man? He is out there...but probably after seeing what the GOP has put Obama through...wouldn't dream of running for office....

And further more...no man has any business attempting to create or pass legislation regarding a womans uterus...unless the legislation was created by a woman who has been there and done that!

  13. Amen on the Uterus!!
DeeDee, you remind me of me sometimes. I quit going to my reg mani/pedi place when I saw their 3 Foreign cars parked in the back. I know it is hard to buy many things not made in U.S., but big ticket prices like cars are abundant. People that say they have had American made clunkers don't fly with me. There is no way they have tried EVERY American car! Foreign car dealers do have repair shops for a reason!
So there.. that is one of MY passions! Don't hate me...:)

  14. Bonachichi: So pretty!! And that was a FUNNY picture! :) LOL

  15. DeeDee: I like a lot what you have to say!

My idea is the Man in the mirror. How can I make myself the change that needs to happen? How can I help? My little dust particle speck of a piece of matter.. It's hard to say how I can help except to be kind to everyone and see people as HUMANs. Everyone deserves respect.

  16. Area 51: No, DeeDee..they didn't work on my plumbing..but they did put up my firewall. I do like my walls...keep them up constantly.. he he..

  17. I'm sorry DeeDee! My brain's not entirely with me. A big hello to you!

As far as your political post, I seem to get into trouble any time I speak politics, so I'll just watch from the sidelines.

  18. I was at the Toyota dealership just an hour ago!!

I was collecting my corn money but one of the salesmen showed me the new Prius and it is so impressive...amazing really....solar panels on the roof that run the air to maintain an ambient temp while you are out of the car and it is off!! So when you come back you don't get into a 140 degree car....and the hybrid qualities are far above anything American....

I remember seeing Colin Powell in a car at a car show and he said..."now why can't an American company build something like this?"

And I agree...why don't we build the quality of Toyota or Lexus or Nissan or Honda?

I don't get it. I have an American made SUV and 2 trucks...but my personal car has no competition with anything American made....zero

I think we can do anything anyone else can do better...so why don't we?

You buy say...a Cadillac SUV for $60K...drive it off the lot and you just took a bath to the tune of $15,000.00...its ridiculous

  21. Mary, even though I despise doctors, I also recommend you go. I've flown with an ear infection and it was perfectly hideous. Not just the pain; you get dizzy, can't balance and want to barf everywhere. Do yourself and your companions... hell, the whole rest of the plane, a favor and get it taken care of.

  23. Hi....well, as you can all see from this AM ---- I am not such a great typist when I wake up in the morning, from bed, on my Blackberry. Hey....I tried...pretty good for an old gal and you all even were able to read it!!

MARY: My daughter is suffering from an ear infection right now and she is on drugs for it. I also suggest you go to doctor. She has been on them for a week and today is the first day she feels better.

ZONA: Where are you....shredding all day again?

One more day until JODI's birthday and she will be getting older!! Actually she is still a baby in my book since I could so be her mom but at least not her grandmother!

DEEDEE: You have been "wordy" today. Are you buying a new car? What happened to your driver?

Anyone watch AI tonight? I was pretty okay with who got voted off.

MO: I have been watching Bachelor and I like both of the girls that are left. I also thought they were a little hard on Michelle the other night but during the show I wanted her voted off. I was glad when that happened. I also didn't like the new look for Ashley, did you?

  24. I'm not getting a new car...mine is only 2 years old....prolly drive it the rest of my life....unless someone wants to buy it!!??

Nothing happened to Driver...I don't bother him much....he did go and pick up a couple of friends from Midland who came to town to see Keith Urban at the Livestock show....I didn't go...

  25. Good evening, very funny pic. :)

Cars are heavy on my mind too. I have been without a car payment now for over two years and it has been wonderful. However, the van is now killing my pocketbook. I am working up the courage to get a new vehicle and start payments again.

  28. Mary My husband drove a Lincoln Town Car and I was driving his old Mercury when he decided we should get the Prius for me to drive. He was thinking ahead to when I would be alone and the savings I'd have on gas. I'm sure glad he did.

  29. That was my delete. Instead of typing "on gas", I just said I'd have gas. LOL
