It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)

~ Happy Easter ~
by Tina~in_ut
I love this song! It's Easter to me.....maybe not this version, but I like it~ I couldn't find one with Ricky Martin singing it! I tried~ I think I'll send this link to my mother......she'll just die!~ lol~
No Maureen...I wish! ....those darlings will be at church then at their Dallas grandparents...their dads parents...that small section of my family...the kids and their mom and dad are the only tolerable people in my family...and fortunately they are very tolerable....very cool....Alicia is a little on the jesus-ie side but after a couple of martinis she shuts up...lol
They live in Dallas....My Belle has a hair appt today....I KNOW!! ...on Easter! Crazy....but it is essential...
I am going to Hearne Tx about 20 minutes north to see friends that have 2 granddaughters that think I hung the moon.....THAT is the neatest feeling knowing that the little dodgers are excited about your visit....and we shall hide and hunt eggs....I shall teach them the stylish way....lol...I think they are the giggling-est 2 little girls I know!! And now its doubly important because they're Mom is working today and Grandmas best friends daughter has been killed in a car accident early this morning.....so I can stay with the girls and keep the Easter in full swing and the grandparents can go do what they need to do....this way the kids don't even have to hear about it and can be kids today instead of the alternative of having to go with the grampsies....kwim?
And they are catholic so there was nothing easter bunny related for them at church.....
it will be a good day... Abigail and Gabrielle are always great...
TINA: I love the happiness in the voices of all those singing and the joy on their faces. Great video!!
The house is spic and span from top to bottom..well, as spic and span as it's going to get..lol..and now I have to get cooking..Have a Happy Easter everyone!
Tina Congrats on raising a good boy. Now he won't feel guilty when he spends the rest of the day drinking cheap beer with his friends. LOL Just kidding....maybe. ;)
I just got up from my nap. This is the laziest Easter Sunday I can remember. With half of the family in Hawaii and the Accountant busy in Vancouver, Jack and I are all alone. It's very different but we kind of like it. It is so quiet in the house. All the "fur babies" are sleeping.
JUST LIN and TINA...Yes, just one of me today. I sent the other 2 off to hunt for Easter eggs and look for the Matzah that has been hidden all week. Should keep them busy for days.
TINA...glad the boy called.
SUGARSANGEL...LOL! You just created that profile, so who are ya???!!!
Went to brunch with the family after Church and now it's time for a nap.
Tina, Thanks for the uplifting song. It was a perfect choice for today. BTW, having a little experience with college kids, I agree with J/L's assessment!
Mo, good to see your single self here today. Wait...that assumes that I wasn't glad to see your multiple selves and that's not true...glad to see any of your selves, anytime!
Michael, My Catholic Church had Easter Bunny related activities today for the children and they do every year.
Zona, I know what spic and span means, but it hardly ever applies to my house, unfortunately.
Sugarsangel, Lurker no more...or are you? Welcome.
Waving a wing to all the other Owls and hoping you are having a good day.
J/L & Sackie~ Please let this mother pretend! The twins looked at me over dinner last night and asked me if I really believed he went to "visit friends!" ugh! I know what he's doing......but I don't know what he's "doing"~ kwim?~
I didn't know if it was a Catholic thing or not...they just didn't have anything at their church...its a small town and I think the clergy there is on a visiting rotation of sorts....
But we had fun...they wore me out...lol
sugarsangel...I didn't think anyone noticed that I am anti GOP...lol....the dragulator was fun!! The black thing is interesting....when I lived in Denver one of my best friends who taught school up there was black and he had a lot of family in Denver....I refer to the time period as "when I was black for a year"...spending a great deal of time with them I was astonished at the racism that they tolerated on a daily basis.....at times it was actually scary...I had never seen it in action before....it was an eye opener...
Tina....thanks for the prayers....it can't hurt....
Maureen...I have never considered adopting kids...although I do love them...I raised a son and feel that I was successful with that...and I don't want to push my luck...
Nighty night Owls! It's been a longass emotional day. I'm going to bed. My throat is no longer about to explode, but my voice is horse and I have a runny drippy nose.
Was I surprised Michael-DeeDee was a man? No! Nor do I care. DeeDee was always kind to me and entertaining to boot. Do I think Deedee went over the top with some people yes. But I figured out she was a big girl and would have to take the repercussions.
Now what I do resent is being told to accept Deedee and that Deedee was fun and harmless and well intentioned until it seems that Deedee-Michael and Tina had a dust up and then I was supposed to shun and delete DeeDee-Michael. Took me right back to Jr. High that did. What happened to taking care of your conflicts outside of the nest.
Hey this is the internet world and many people are not what they seem. Which brings me to bonacici just who the hell are you and where do you get off? You have verbally bitch slapped several of the owls and we still put up with your posts. I literally mean who the hell are you? I have tried several times to figure it out from your outlandish descriptions but I'm stumped I take anything you post with a sack of salt and more.
Now if some you would pause and think you would figure out who sugarsangel is.
I am off going to take my meds and try to forget this crappy weekend happend.
Kick me out shun me whatever!!!! It will just be something to talk the the therapist and psychiatrist about this week.
bonachichi you are the sick one and you are crossing the line. You are accusing someone of something you have no knowledge of. Whose underage children does he have access to?
I am going to be the first person to ask you to leave the blog. If she does not stop this nonsense I am done.
Michael I hope you are not offended, but I like Michael better than DeeDee. For whatever reason, I connect to you so much better then I did to DeeDee. I always thought of DeeDee as a fictional character. I wished that you had came out a lot sooner.
Well, I've had a couple of days to think about it and I've decided that I don't have a problem with anyone. It's a new day, a new reality, and that's okay with me.
Well...today and Easter an important day to most of us and JODI lost her father today. I guess I am just stating what is important to me today. I am not disagreeing with the comments just stating a fact for myself so please no one take offense.
Happy Easter to all of you and JODI, you are and your family are in my prayers. xxoo
Michael I know you're a guy so maybe you don't get this (most men don't) but it may be that someone would appreciate a personal apology. Just a suggestion.

Ok guys, lets all calm down and take a deep breath..
We have been thru so very much these last couple of years, and we have come thru all of them...
We are certainly a team, even me, with my break, I came back as if I have been in all along, and you all welcomed be back, with open wings, no questions asked, and why cause that is what friends do, and we are friends...
I am glad that Michael has come out to who he is, perhaps not by choice, but he has and owned up to it. I personally don't feel deceived as I had a feeling all along..as Lynnd said this is the internet world, and these things happen.. so be it..

Why don't you take the DeeDee out of you name, so we can all start anew, there is no reason to keep up your persona, as we all know now..
Everyone deserves a fresh start, so Michael, just your name will be fine.
and hopefully the transition will go easy. I have no questions for you as I a am sure there was reason behind the persona, I am in hopes tho, from here in in, Michael will be Michael.. I know you have gotten very attached to many here, so lets get that trust back, and go forward..
What a friend she has been to all of us, she is the one to make the call, the one to give up cheers with her spotted cow.. she is truly a wonderful person.. and Heidi, dear Heidi, what a friendship those to have, I am in awe...
Jodi,
My heart goes out to at the most difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family. The bright star in all of the sadness and is your dad is dancing with you mom once again, and spending time with your brother..
Keep strong, and hold the memories tight in your heart, and they will certainly last a lifetime..
I had a wonderful Easter, it started off early, as I had to go to get the bread, breakfast at MickeyD's, and good ole DDunkins.. and then on to the preparation, food, dessert.. and so one..
I am one stuffed bunny.. but it was all delish, and I love my family dearly..
I did get a bit chocked up, when IS#2 left to go "home", he said to his mom, "we are gong to go home now" she looked at me and I looked at her... and say Oh Boy, he is gong home..
Tina.. you are suppose to share on Easter, Easter gifts are not to be kept, they are to be given..
once again, you blew it..
Mo.. Well, the porn kinds slipped cause when I saw that word, it brought up memories... You were not suppose to catch it.. but its midnite her so Easter is over, I am in the clear!
Carol, I loved hearing about your Easter. I got all nostalgic reading about it. I bet you had Italian cheesecake. My mother always made that for Easter and I haven't had it since she has been gone.
I am going to the wedding reception for the Royal couple. I am soooo excited. No I am not going to London. A friend of mine is having a reception and we are all going to watch it at her house. We are getting all dressed up and she is making wedding reception fare including a wedding cake and we will all watch it on the telly. It will be soooo much fun, even if it does start at 1am. I will definitely be taking a nap earlier that day.
SacBarb That sounds like a lot of fun. I am supposed to watch it with a couple of friends, too, but we are going to be dressed comfy and just have snacks and probably champagne. No wedding cake.
HEIDI....from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU ♥ You have truly become my sister, and for that I am thankful. You took the time to hold me on Saturday....and the Spotted Cow was definitely appreciated. I'm glad you got to meet my Dad...I know he is thankful that I have you in my life. My conversation with Inge yesterday morning was priceless ♥
BAM!!
ReplyDeleteOK....I think thats the best version of that song that I have ever heard....
ReplyDeleteafter all those god awful Sugarland videos...has Tina finally got her funk on??

ReplyDeleteNo Maureen...I wish! ....those darlings will be at church then at their Dallas grandparents...their dads parents...that small section of my family...the kids and their mom and dad are the only tolerable people in my family...and fortunately they are very tolerable....very cool....Alicia is a little on the jesus-ie side but after a couple of martinis she shuts up...lol

ReplyDeleteSending Jodi a big Nova Scotia hug. Take care my friend!

ReplyDeleteLYNN...I love you sistah!
ReplyDeleteITEACH...Fictional charater is a good description!
CHI CHI...as someone that has been in your cross-hairs more then once, where is YOUR apology to the nest? ija
Well, I've had a couple of days to think about it and I've decided that I don't have a problem with anyone. It's a new day, a new reality, and that's okay with me.
ReplyDeleteWell...today and Easter an important day to most of us and JODI lost her father today. I guess I am just stating what is important to me today. I am not disagreeing with the comments just stating a fact for myself so please no one take offense.

Michael I know you're a guy so maybe you don't get this (most men don't) but it may be that someone would appreciate a personal apology. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI am so saddened by today's blog. It is Easter Sunday, a day to rejoice and have fun. This blog has been so happy all week. ReplyDeleteGood Night All.
Dianne Yes. That is what is most important today.
ReplyDeleteDianne - I think you and I are on the same wave length tonight. I had a wonderful Easter and I hope you did too. My heart and thoughts are with Jodi tonight.

I am sorry to those here that I care about. If I hurt you or let you down I am begging for your forgiveness....
This is hard for me...I could just move along and be done with the whole experience....and I hope the fact that I am doing this speaks to you and that it makes you know that I love you all....and if Tracy persists in her evil posts and/or there cannot be peace here and I have to go...it couldn't be without having said that...

ReplyDelete'weenie and Tink: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Yorkshire pudding, and it goes great with traditional Roast Beef dinners! It's something I miss about living in the USA, where Yorkshire Pudding, like vinegar on french fries, is not part of the culture!
Michael: I don't remember DeeDee ever sharing information that she'd lost an eye; I wonder if you remember my discussions about my sister, who had one of her eyes removed last winter due to overwhelming eye pain, the product of far too many surgeries to try and save her vision. I'm happy to report that, one year later, the pain is 99% gone and she's basically got her former quality of life back. All I can say is, it's a good thing we're designed with a pair of these sense organs!
Tina: My Mom, Tampa Granny, and Karen from Canada pray for me, too!
I love you all!

Cheers for "TWO'S"....
Tina, When it came to what happened with the kids in college I am FIRM believer of "What I don't know doesn't hurt me or the kid"

Angel No worries. You didn't offend anyone, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I loved hearing about your Easter. I got all nostalgic reading about it. I bet you had Italian cheesecake. My mother always made that for Easter and I haven't had it since she has been gone.
ReplyDeleteI am going to the wedding reception for the Royal couple.
ReplyDeleteSacBarb That sounds like a lot of fun. I am supposed to watch it with a couple of friends, too, but we are going to be dressed comfy and just have snacks and probably champagne. No wedding cake.
ReplyDeleteMICHAEL - Thank you. I have always enjoyed you...and your tales ;) I hope we can start anew....Hi..my name is JODI.
ReplyDeleteI have been so blessed...my Dad had the most beautiful journey home. Thank you all for the prayers, texts, calls....♥
ReplyDeleteWe are going to the funeral home this morning. Not sure when the arrangements will be, but I will let you know.
ReplyDeleteHEIDI....from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU ♥ You have truly become my sister, and for that I am thankful. You took the time to hold me on Saturday....and the Spotted Cow was definitely appreciated. I'm glad you got to meet my Dad...I know he is thankful that I have you in my life. My conversation with Inge yesterday morning was priceless ♥
ReplyDeleteTINA - I LOVED this version...it was exactly what I needed this morning ♥
