  3. OK, I have to share something:

Last night on FB, I plunged into the lions den and "liked" the New Yorkers Family Research Foundation, the official opposition to marriage equality in New York, so I can keep tabs on them and comment on their posts. First up: In response to a post of theirs where they noted that the fight for marriage equality in New York has national significance, I posted the following comment:

"Truer words were never spoken, NYFRF! This battle HAS national implications. If the New York legislature passes marriage equality legislation, then before you know it, thousands of homosexual New Yorkers will flock to "marry" the same way the 18,000 homosexual couples did in California. Undoubtedly, these New York couples will then go about implementing their radical agenda the way the California couples have done, by making lives together, comforting each other in sickness and in health, buying property together, growing old together, and generally supporting each other until death does them part."

No direct responses yet, but two strong supporters of the site and its cause (I know because I checked out their FB profiles) hit the "like" button!

I honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry!

  6. Good Morning Tina, Whabbear, and Bebbi. It's nice to see your pretty faces today.

  7. Whabbear - I loved your comment. When will then listen? It doesn't make sense. You should move to Canada, just saying! We may not be perfect but at least we know marriage is for everybody.

  8. Iteach - I loved that video. I wonder how many years it will take to achieve that.

  12. Good morning Tink!

  13. Wow, really quiet in here all day...

  14. The NYFRF has removed me from their FaceBook list of supporters, and blocked me from "liking" them and thus, being able to post further comments. Interesting, since I only posted two comments, both of which could easily have been read as supporting their position.

  15. Hello Everyone!

    Off to mow, so exciting!

I absolutely love this video. I can really picture all of this happening soon.

    Have a great night everyone!

  16. Iteach - I love the video too. I just watched it again with Jack. With technology advancing so fast one never knows how fast that may happen. Sooner rather than later I think.

  17. Whabbear - I can't believe they blocked you. You sure must have hit a nerve. That just shows their prejudice when they won't allow someone to express his opinion.

  18. Good evening feathered friends!

ITEACH...I can't watch the vid, but I'm sure it's interesting.

I went to the Corning glass factory in Corning, N.Y many years ago and it was fascinating.

WHABBY...I guess freedom of speech only applies to people with the same opinions. Someday, people will finally wake up and realize same sex marriage isn't a union between two devils. Stupid people.

Hi to TINKA, TINA, BEBBI, ZONA and DIANNE

  19. We finally have warm spring/summer weather. May has been unusually cool. It's our grandson's Christening and first birthday combined on Sunday so I am hoping it will last.

  20. Hi Maureen - We were typing at the same time. I would love to go through the Corning glass factory. Was there any hint that the video may actually happen soon?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Maureen - I so agree with your comment "I guess freedom of speech only applies to people with the same opinions." It's unbelievable.

  22. I don't know how much I will be around until Sunday night.

Tomorrow night I am staying at Elaine's so I can take her to the hospital on Thursday morning.

Thursday thru Sunday I will be staying at Sharon's because the hospital is around the corner and we need to be there Friday morning at 7 am. And it is much more convenient to go back and forth from there then from home.

Please send some prayers that everything goes well and Elaine can make a full and speedy recovery. I'd really appreciate it. TINA, can you have your mom add Elaine to her prayers?

  23. Whabbear...

    I posted this...as DeeDee...

you people should get a life and mind ur own business.....just look at what "one man one woman" has done to the institution of marriage...it is horribly abused and disrespected....give another faction of society a chance!! They can't do any worse than the likes of you all have!!

The world is coming out of the closet...and if you don't want to be shoved into it...you had better wake up and fly right!! The gays are very forgiving but we have our limits!!

  26. Maureen - I will say prayers for Elaine too. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

    Hi Michael.

Nothing much happening here this evening. I will see you all tomorrow. Have a great night.

  27. Today I have started the countdown for school to end. I reached a breaking point with stress and I so need to regoup. Too much is going with school, my kid's school, after school activities, etc..........

Matthew has been diagnosed with a mood disorder and we have started treatment in Rockford which is an hour away. So much on my mind...

Thank you for letting me vent.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Iteach - You vent any time you feel like it. It is good for you. The end of the year is always stressful at every school but you have had more than your share of stress. I admire you so much. I think you managed to stay on your feet which was more than most people can do when hit with high stress. I will say an extra prayer for you. At my grandson's Christening on Sunday I will light a pretty blue candle just for you. Love, Tink

  29. Michael: I looked for that post... did you do it on FB? Didn't see it...

'weenie: And yet there's millions and millions of them! :(

Tink: I'd love to move back to Canada, as soon as the country annexes a Carribean island... LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Whabbear - That may happen who knows? Hang in there. Someday the ignorant will be enlightened. At least that is what I pray for.

Good Night - I am off to bed. See you all in the morning. I think everyone in the nest is asleep. Shhh!

  31. Jennifer, Hang in there sweetie. You are an inspiration. I don't know how you do it! But, you are DOING it..yay!! <3 <3 <3
