  2. Good Morning Bebbi and Michael. I thought I might be first today because I am up early. No such luck. I will read the signs later. I have to get ready for the carpet cleaners and feed my babies. Have a great day everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Michael - l look and you are there and then you are gone. Where did you go?

    ReplyDelete
  4. How do signs like these go up unnoticed. That is what amazes me. Jack thought they were very funny.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I had to delete my post...I was answering Bebbi from yestiddy but its too early for sex talk....

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi Michael - I thought maybe you were kidnapped.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I am up early because Jack had to leave early for the farm and I knew the cleaning company would be phoning about 7.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Must feed my little ones and myself. See you later.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Dammit Michael, it's never too early for sex talk and you deleted it before I could read it! poo.

  10. I like your picture by the way. I clicked on your picture thinking it would take me to your facebook page but it didn't.

  11. Good morning Tink!

Jodi: Those were GREAT...very funny!! :) (and, if I am not mistaken, kind of a little bit like sex talk!) ha ha.

Good morning to all those who fly in today...

  12. Morning, Bebbi, Tink, Michael!

How could it be too early for sex talk with those photos! LOL! Surely these pastors had to know what they were doing...

  13. I am going to take my disabled kooky friend to the Mercado....she and her husband are so funny. Her husband always gives me a second list of things she might forget...she is very absent minded...lol

Its a good thing I knew her before she became disabled with MS and crazy....

Today she has lost an expensive spessartite and diamond necklace that I will have to find for her...its probably around her neck....

    rolls eye...

yall have fun fun fun until I get back!!!

  14. Good Morning!

JODI: I'm giggling at the signs..but true to the way I was raised..I feel guilty for giggling.... ;D

BEBBI: Good Morning Sunshine..you're looking radiant today! :)

MICHAEL: It's too early to google..but I did..I mean what the heck is a spessartite? My mom would have known! It's very pretty! I hope you can find the necklace! LOL@ around her neck..I can so relate.. ;D

TINKA: I know what you mean..don't these sign putter-uppers proofread? ;)

BEAR: I have a feeling you're right..I bet people that never pay attention to church signs did when they saw these!

  15. Happy Wednesday Owls. At least I think it's Wednesday. I am still in a fog and have become a human snot machine. It's time like these I wish I had stock in Kleenex.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Jodi, These are very funny. Our church would never have a comment like any of these...mainly because our church only has Mass times on our sign. However, we are getting a new pastor in July, so there is still hope.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bebbi, you look Bebbilicious today.

Michael, LOL @ around her neck. My grandfather often spent time looking all over for his glasses when they were right on top of his head.

Zona, I felt guilty for laughing too. ;)

Waving a wing also to Bear, Tinka, and all the other Owls. I'm going back to bed.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bebbi Congrats on being the #1 beauty this fine day. It sounds like you're feeling a little frisky today, too. : )

    ReplyDelete
  19. Tinka I hope you have a really fine day. You'd think one of the church members would say something about the sign but maybe they don't want to admit to their "dirty" mind.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Michael Have fun today and good luck with finding that necklace. Maybe we all get a little more kooky as we get older.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bear Not to be stereotyping or anything, but those signs were probably from the rural south and, no, they may not have known what they were doing.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Zona LOL @ being too early to google. My brain isn't in gear until I've had my second cup of coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just_Lin Congratulations on getting 25.

Me Why thank you. I'm not being too tedious, am I?

Just_Lin Why, no! Not at all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. SacBarb Sorry you are so snotty these days. We have extra tissues for you over there by the naughty mat. Please make sure all used tissues make it into the waste basket.

    ReplyDelete
  25. HOdi Thank you for the blog and the laughs today. There are two church signs that I drive by on various errands and I now kind of look forward to reading them. They almost always have a message that is on point with something going on in my life at that moment. It's quite uncanny, really. ***cue Twilight Zone music***

  26. J/L: LOL at talking to yourself..too funny. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Zona: LOL @ "it's too early to google...but I did"...ha ha...funny!

Sacbarb: Thanks...! Feeling a little more Bebbilicious than yesterday.. I had a down day yesterday but I think it is because I have been getting up at 4:30 and meeting a friend at the Y..then working all day, mystery shops, open mics..my life is crazy.

And, my recent "love" interest ditched me after we were intimate..so that kind of was a big OUCH... (yes, Tina, it was the "park" guy)... oh well, live and learn.

Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me.

The problem of the whole matter, I liked the GUY...sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  28. J/L: I love those timely messages from the Universe..they are a nice comforting reminder that we are never alone. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bebbi I'm sorry that the "park guy" didn't work out. It would be very unusual to find the right guy the first time out. Don't worry, though, I'm sure he's out there waiting to meet you.

    ReplyDelete
  30. J/L: Thanks! :) I am sure he is too..just have to be a little more careful and take things a lot slower next time out. I am not used to this whole "dating" thing...not sure how it all works.. I'll learn though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Bebbi, Sorry about the 'park' guy. Just pretend that you were using him for S%*. We all need that sometimes. You are young and pretty and there is someone out there who is right for you, I am sure of it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I woke up coughing and came out to the kitchen to warm up some soup. I have run out of chicken and tried minestrone, but it didn't go down well. Going back to bed.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Barb: Good idea..he was my 2 night stand..muahahaha... oopsy..bad bad Bebbi. :) Hey, I DID ENJOY IT.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Barb: I sure hope you get to feeling better and get rid of that cough soon~!! :/

    ReplyDelete
  35. BEBBI - You are absolutely GORGEOUS today!! Sorry about the "park" guy....HIS LOSS!! My "one night stand" turned out to be the love of my life. Keep hope alive pretty lady!!

TINKA - I'm glad you and Jack got a laugh out of the signs :)

MICHAEL - Love your pic with the DC's!! I think it would be a "hoot" if you were one of my customers!! I hope you can find your friends' necklace!! I'm a wee bit crazy and don't even have MS ;)

WHABBY - I think they knew, too!! All the better to draw in the flock ;)

ZONA - That's why it's good to be Lutheran....we don't do the guilt thing ;)

BARB - Feel better soon!! Have you tried "flushing" your head with saline? Pretty gross, but boy it works!!

SLIN - Pretty amazing. Signs are everywhere if you're just willing to look for them ♥

  36. Good Afternoon Everyone: I am hanging out at my daughters for awhile this afternoon.

BEBBI: Congratulations on being number one today and pretty too. I am sorry your first "guy" had to turn out to be a jerk....men!!! It is hard to get back into dating after so long.

SACBARB: I'm sorry you are feeling so bad this week. Keep eating soup and hang out in bed and rest. I hope you will be better soon. Spring colds...yuck!

TINKA: You must be busy today. When do you get your scooter? I think you will really be happy with it and it will be nice for you to get outside and feel comfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just got home from my neighbor's house. She had invited me over to sit out back in the sun and have a beer. The first one went down so well I had a second!!

Hope my boys can find something for supper. I REALLY don't feel like cooking. Although a big bowl of popcorn sounds great!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. DIANNE - HELLLLOOOOOOOOO!!! I hope you're having a good week ♥

    ReplyDelete
  39. MICHAEL: Hope you have a good time with your friend today. It is nice you take her out and let her do some shopping.

TINA: Are you in Seattle now? Hope you get a chance to have some seafood.

J/L: Nice conversation you were having with yourself. You need to ask ZONA about her milkshake story...you will relate and it will make you laugh.

ZONA: Now I put you on the spot, didn't I? Are you going in your cicles today?

JODI: Funny blog and signs. YOu would think someone would point it out to the pastor. I saw a sign that said "nurses wanted" and under it said "rehab". I always get a laugh when I pass it.

BEAR: Are you still working all those hours or has it slowed down some? I am still waiting for you to come back and visit Denver.

    ReplyDelete
  40. MARY: I am really missing you and hope you are doing fine. Looking forward to seeing your avatar soon.

SHIRLEY.....WAKE UP...YOU HAVE SLEPT LONG ENOUGH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi JODI: Looks like we were typing at the same time. It sounds like you are having a nice afternoon. Peanut butter and jelly always works for the kids along with the popcorn :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. DIANNE - Or breakfast cereal!! Ha!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. HOdi Grilled cheese sandwiches aren't like real cooking....unless you're talking to Dianne. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  44. Dianne Don't read my comment to Jodi. :) Oh, and kudos to you for getting back into volunteering.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Bebbi Well, at least you enjoyed it, proving that you aren't the Ice Princess after all. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Just_Lin Well, look at that! You got 25 and 50! Congrats!

Me Why, thank you. It's all in the timing.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Shirley Get your butt back in here!

    Mary You, too!

    ReplyDelete
  48. SLIN - whoa....slow day?!!?

    SHIRLEY!! What SLIN said!!

MARY - missing your sweet ass today ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. SLIN - No worries....I talk to myself sometimes, too ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Gonna call it a night. Snuggle in my bed and read Water for Elephants. I started reading it when I stayed over at my Dad's house. Pretty good book. Plan on seeing the movie when I'm done!

    Good night HOoters ♥

    ReplyDelete
  51. JODI: Heard the movie was really good.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good evening featheredd friends!

BEBBI...Bebbiutiful this morning!! Sorry about the "park guy", but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

HODI...loved the signs! I always look forward to reading the churh signs I pass.

When I worked at Harry and David we had a sale on our hams and turkeys. I made a sign and towards the bottom I wrote: OUR MEAT CAN'T BE BEAT!! It took days for someone to finally get it!!! :)~

SACBARB...feel better. I hate being all snotty.

    SHIRLEY...WAKE UP!

TINA...re: QOTD...I did try that and it didn't work!

ZONA...what is the infamous milkshake story? I didn't think it was ever too early to google!

Thanks for all the concern regarding my back. I feel much better. Still some pain in my knee...kinda tingly and it hurts when I lay down, but def on the mend. Thank you all so much.

  53. I finished my book this evening. It was a really sweet and charming book. Jennifer and her father had such a special relationship. They loved and LIKED each other. Even though their time together was not long enough, they packed a lot of living into a short time. And Cary lives on in her heart and memories.

    ReplyDelete
  54. BARB: If I had a private plane I'd bring you some homemade chicken soup asap!! I hope you are feeling better this evening!

MO: How are your back and your leg? I hope they are feeling better by the minute! :)

    SHIRLEY: I felt that..I know you're awake! ;)

BEBBI: Phooey on the 'park' guy..his loss..big time!

DIANNE: I hope you meant 'circles'..lol..

    LYNN: SWAK!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. MO: I hope you know what I meant even with my awful grammar..sheesh..

J/LIN: Last Friday, Mr Z and I went to In N Out for dinner. He wanted to get a vanilla milkshake with his dinner. As we were driving home, he was drinking the shake and he said "You have to try this..it's really good..it doesn't taste like a regular milkshake.." So I tasted it. "It's richer than a milkshake.." I told him. He nodded and said "What does it taste like though..it's different.." I took another sip and said "I know..it tastes like Custard!" He said "You're right it does taste like Custard.." It was then I realized what I said and started to laugh uncontrollably. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with me..he asked me "What's so funny? Why is that funny?" I gave him the milkshake and said through my laughter.."I can't drink anymore..it's waaay too thick and rich for me..!" and then started laughing again..omh..I had tears running down my face. I guess you had to be there..it was so funny..He still has no idea what I was laughing about.. :D

  56. Well, we are going to be in the 100's for the rest of the week..and today our pool pump broke. It's spilling sand into the pool when we run the backwash. The pool guy comes out tomorrow..cross your fingers that the 'cha-ching' isn't deafening..dang..it sure seems like it's always something..

    ReplyDelete
  57. Zona LMAO! You AND Mr. Z, huh? Now that's interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  58. e-nin yall....

No necklace....it will turn up someday...there is no telling where she put it....its sad when someone you know gets progressively worse with Alzheimers...

On the way to her house we passed a corner where a huge H.E.B grocery store is being built. Its been all the talk lately. Matter of fact my friend told me about it....then today as we were sitting right in front of the construction site that has a huge sign saying what is being built....

she said..."Well I wonder what they are building here"....

Sometimes her absent mindedness is funny...this was not. I just told her what was being built...and then she clasped my hand and she said...quietly while looking me in the eye..."I knew that"...

I wanted to cry....but instead I just laughed and told her that she is as bad as me about forgetting things....

Then I told her...you will never be totally crazy....we both will get about to the same point where everything is funny and we just won't give a shit what anyone thinks....we'll be the best none eccentrics in town....

Then I heard a horn honk...I looked up and we were headed straight for a steam roller that was headed straight for us!!! A steam roller from the construction site!

Anna and I both screamed...I took evasive action...throwing groceries all over the van...lol

As we pulled into my diet coke store I said ..."See!! Thats what I mean!!! Crazy!! THAT was funny Anna!! You can't make stuff like that up!!!

When we got to her house she could hardly wait to get inside and tell her husband that I had almost killed us...

    ReplyDelete
  59. best "known" eccentrics....

    ReplyDelete
  60. MICHAEL: We are going through the same thing with my husband's mother as you are with your friend. It is very sad to see how frustrated she gets with herself when she just can't remember. She has gotten worse and it is sad for everyone. You are a good friend to Anna and she is lucky to have you as you her.

MO: I am so glad your back is feeling better today. Keep doing whatever it is you are doing t make it better. Glad you liked your book!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Michael, this is going to take some getting used to! When you are describing your interactions with people in your life, I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that they are interacting with a man rather than a woman. My "mental model" is still that you are describing your adventures from a woman's perspective!

Diane: Yep, still pretty busy. But there's some potential good news on the work front. Next week I'm not going to Denver... I'm going to Kennedy Space Center for a meeting, and will be there Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, guess what... the (possibly last) shuttle launch has tentatively been scheduled for next Tuesday (or Wednesday), so I may, by complete chance, get to see it (I haven't been to KSC in over a decade). I'd long since reconciled myself to never getting to see a shuttle launch in person, until this opportunity fell in my lap!

I'm crossing my fingers that there aren't more delays...

    ReplyDelete
  62. Whabbear...

Hey! Don't look at me! I liked DeeDee! ...lol

I hope you get to attend the launch!!

As an employee, would you have a better vantage point to watch from...I don't know if you can get any closer.....or would you be with the people we always see on television.....

That would be very exciting to see....Gifford will be captain on this mission...right? And I think I read that his wife may go to Kennedy again for the launch....

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Bear I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, too. That would be very exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Michael Every time I forget something, a little part of me worries that I'm "losing it".

    ReplyDelete
  65. MO - I'm so glad you're starting to feel better. Nothing worse than back pain. The only thing that helps when my low back is giving me fits is ice. I'm sure customers at my store think I look crazy with an ice pack shoved down the back of my pants, but IT WORKS!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. ZONA - omg omg omg...spit out my cawfee on your milkshake story!!

WHABBY - I hope you get to see the launch. That would be so cool :)

MICHAEL - My friend Rhonda's mother has Alzheimers. It hit her in her 50's.....so sad. When she was still living at home and driving, she would stop at my store, but would mask not knowing me by calling me "honey". Bless you for making your friend laugh ♥

    ReplyDelete
  67. 80!! Just for shits and giggles ♥

    ReplyDelete
  68. TINA - And no I didn't shart on 80 ;)
