This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

~ Kony 2012 ~
by Tina~in_ut
Yes......it's 30 minutes long. Watch it anyway~ My daughter is involved at her school in the Africa Outreach program which includes collecting money for Invisible Children. This is just one of her many passions~
Good Morning everyone. Just a quick check in. We have a wind storm (80 to 100 km) happening with thousands of homes losing their power. Our lights are flickering so we may be next. Ferries are stopped and most schools closed. Will be back when winds calm down.
It is really windy here today too!! I saw Mrs. Goldstein go out to get her paper and her wig blew off and rolled down the street...I don't think she even knew it....

Dianne will be flying over my house in a few minutes....I am going to stand outside and do a few jumping jacks to get her attention...
TINA: Powerful video! The story of the Invisible Children is horrific and heartbreaking..but with the concern and dedication of people like your daughter..there is hope this monster can be stopped..captured..and brought to justice..and soon.
DI: You are absolutely gorrrgeous in First today! You should be almost home by now..time to relax and recuperate from a wonderful vacation! I'll be checking the mail for my seashell.... ;D
TINKA: I don't mind rainstorms..even if there is thunder and lightning..but I hate the wind! Stay safe! :)
MICHAEL: I hope Di didn't use that password..j/s.. ;D
LYNN: Were you able to get any painting done over the weekend? I hope so! :)
TINKA: Just to clarify..because I kinda confused myself..I know you're not having any rain..my comment meant that I'd rather have a thunderstorm than a windstorm any day..sheesh..I need to slow down and think before I post..lol..

Tina, Ditto what Lynn said. This is a very sad story and awareness must be raised. I had not heard about this before today.
Dianne, How lovely you are in first today. You have been quite the traveler. I hope you had fun.
Lynn, So sorry about your cousin. (((HUGS)))
Tinka, I hope your power is back on. We are having strong winds here too and rain is predicted for the rest of the week.
Michael, LOL waving to Dianne.
Zona, Are you all over your affliction? The cough from bronchitis can linger on for a long time.
J/L from A-51, I liked melody from yesterday's song, but the lyric, not so much. Sometimes it is just better to regard people as 'someone we used to know.'
Dianne You are stunning at first today. I'm so glad you had a nice time and all your anxiety about traveling seems to have been unwarranted. Glad you are home safe and maybe sound, too.
Tina I watched this video a few nights ago after seeing something about it on the news. I shared the link on my FB page and hope to spread the word. This man is a true monster and must be brought down.
SacBarb So good to see you posting. How are you feeling? Are you getting your energy back? I hope so. I keep meaning to call and then, before I know it, it seems like it's gotten too late to call. You don't need me interrupting your sleep. It's important that you get your rest.
First today.
ReplyDeleteNo time to watch video now as heading for airport.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I will be on frontier leaving Hobby at 12:25 for Denver. Ur state has been lovely, green and pretty. I had a nice time.
Good day to all of u and see u on the flip side
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteJ/L it is sad when people become someone we used to know, but many times that is best for us.
The Kony story and the invisible children is so sad and yes awareness needs to be raised about this issue. Thank you for posting that Tina.
Dianne safe travels!
Rush Limbaugh came out in support of the LRA back in October 2011.

ReplyDeleteLynnD I agree. It's best in the long run but sure hurts in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteMichael I sure hope you're kidding about Rush. He's an ass but is he that big of an ass?
ReplyDeleteTinka Batten down the hatches! We are having strong gusts tonight, too, with rain arriving now with the winds.
ReplyDeleteZona I agree. Love the rain but not the wind, especially when it gets strong enough for me to start worrying about trees and fences being damaged.
