I really like this song and I like the video, too. Although the lyrics don't at all represent how things went with Custard and I, it is true that he's now become just somebody that I used to know. That still feels sad to me but it's getting better.
HODI...HAPPY BIRTHDAY
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Maureen - Congrats on being first today.
ReplyDeleteJust_Lin - Very interesting video. I will have to play it again to see if the song grows on me. Thanks for sharing.
I am only half awake. This "Borden's" time always takes a while to get use to.
Be back later.
J/LIN: I've never heard this song before..but I liked it. Especially the music. It's really hard to understand sometimes where relationships go wrong..how someone that meant so much to us has become 'just somebody we used to know'..I'll never ever be able to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY JODI!
ReplyDeleteMO: Congrats on First Beautiful! :)
TINKA: Borden's time? I'm cornfused..I see googling in my immediate future.. :D
Randy has taken on too many chores today..and he wants to do them all himself..that means Grumpy Randy is in the house..and outside too..lol..better go force myself on him...to help him with all those chores I mean.. ;D
Have a good day everyone!
The modern idea of daylight saving was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson and it was first implemented during the First World War. Many countries have used it at various times since then; details vary by location.
ReplyDeleteI think DST sucks and I wish it would be done away with!
ReplyDeleteThe constitution guarantees our right to not have anybody MESSING WITH THE CLOCKS!!! JUST LIKE MARRYING YOUR FIRST COUSIN!! It is also in the bible!
Zona - Robert Borden was Prime Minister of Canada during WW1. He is the one credited or blamed for bringing Daylight savings time to this country. He said it would save energy, something that was very important during the war. It was highly opposed but the law went through. A lot of people called it Borden time. My dad was one of them. It was always called "the d--- Borden's time" in our house. For a few years my dad raised chickens. He really hated it because it through the chicken 'off'.
ReplyDeleteMichael - I agree. We should stay at one time all year.
ReplyDeleteSaskatchewan, the main farming province refuses to accept DST and they stay at Standard time all year.
It really messes with my inner clock. It takes more than a week to adjust. I wonder what we could do to bring about a change to that law.
Happy Birthday Jodi. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteAlthough not used by most of the world's countries, daylight saving time is common in the Northern Hemisphere's northern latitudes.
ReplyDeleteVery little of the rest of the world uses this DST....
Congress voted it in...I guess they would have to change it...and they can't seem to get anything right these days....
Happy Birthday, HOdi!!! xoxoxoxox
