  3. in this video...we can witness Liberace's little known "restless legs syndrome"....

I met him once at the infamous Farmhouse gay bar in Houston in the 70's...

He was wearing a leopard print skin-tight body suit and a little scarf tied around his neck...

Other than his outrageous appearance...I must say he was the center of attention...very very nice man and be was very funny...

  5. Hi Zona---u look do lovely at first today. I'm going to try and get caught up on Smash today. We shall see. Maybe I will even continue my unpacking from Texas. U can see, I unpack as slow as I pack. I think we r having Arizona weather this weekend---the 80's. It should be beautiful.

Michael--- I always enjoyed Liberace. I enjoyed the blog and brought back the old days to me. The other day in the blog u mentioned u were quite ill, I was wondering how u r doing now. Any better? I hope so or u had better be on the way to the doctor.

Quiet in the nest today. Wonder where our morning owl Tink is today. I don't hear any chirping from any branches today. Hellooooo. Chirp chirp or rather hoot hoot.

  6. Here I am Dianne - I felt sick and didn't sleep well last night. I was up at 7:15 a m because Tango and Tia insisted I get up. My grandson arrived at 8:00 and he and Jack went off to the farm. I tried to concentrate on the computer but ended up crawling back to bed. I just got up. I am not, however, chirping very enthusiastically.

  7. I must watch Michael's video. Be back in a few minutes. A diet coke might help.

  8. Michael - That video brought back such sweet memories. We got our first tv in 1951. I was so excited to get it as only a few friends and some homes where I babysat had them. Liberace had a 15 minute show every day at noon. I loved it and him. He always winked at the end of each show and I was sure he was winking at me, (how conceited was that?) It was followed by a 15 minute Perry Como show. That was great too. I loved school holidays and sick days so I could watch those two shows. Of course on Monday nights there was always "I Love Lucy". Who could ask for more?
    Thanks for sharing Michael.

  9. Good Morning Zona - Congratulations on being first today. I should have started with this comment but my mind isn't clear yet.

You were just a baby when I was watching Liberace but he will always be the same. I remember when rumours started that he was gay. He emphatically denied it and most of us believed him. We have come a long way in some areas. He and Rock Hudson must have had a sad part to their lives because they felt they had to hide who they really were because people would not have accepted them the same way. That makes me sad.

  10. Michael - I never met Liberace but I went to his museum in Vegas. It was fantastic. I loved his capes. They were so heavy, however, I don't know how he wore them in concert.

  17. Zona, How beautious you are today. I had to go back to check out the'jazz hands' 'cause I didn't notice them the first time.

Michael, I did notice his 'restless leg' however, and I wondered if he just had to pee!

Tinka, I hope you're feeling better after going back to bed. I hate when I can't sleep at night.

Dianne, I take forever to unpack, too and there are some things that I never unpack, (like my extra hair dryer) so I have a head start for the next time. LOL

J/L, It's starting to rain here. How's the weather there?
