  1. Good Morning everyone - I just got back from the doctor's office. I was getting the results of my blood tests. Apparently I had better cut out any sugar as my blood sugar count is high and I am very close to the getting the D word. I don't even want to say it. I thought I was on a very low sugar diet. Does anyone else have this problem? Just looking for advice here, I am not being nosy.

Zona - Those pictures are amazing. They look like prehistoric animals under the water.

Time for Slim Fast. Have a great day everyone.

  4. Tinka Hello, pretty lady. Congrats on being first today. Don't forget that it's carbohydrates that raise glucose levels and that's what you have to watch out for. Go online to the American Diabetes Association website and see if they don't have helpful dietary info there and I know they have publications that help with counting carbs.

  5. Zona Those photos were great! Thanks for sharing. You don't look like that when you swim in your pool, do you? Scary! LOL

  6. HOdi I hope you're having a good day. Grilled chicken salad sounds really good. I'm tired of ham.

  9. SLIN - Kinda miss the leftovers. My in-laws usually make a huge ham, but there was just enough. Probably has something to do with the massive amounts my boys eat. lol!!!

  10. Hello from not-so-sunny San Diego. It rained for a good part of the day and the same is expected for tomorrow. But, it is still great to be here with Todd, Vicki and Sakima, their new fur baby. He is a VERY active, almost 5 months old, terrier mix that they rescued. He is a real cutie and was featured on the Daily Puppy web page last Thursday. I put a link to the site on my FB page if you want to see some cute pics.

Zona, those are scary pics and I don't think I would want to be in the pool with any of those furry creatures, but thanks for sending them to Tina.

  11. Tinka, My oldest son has recently diagnosed with the dreaded "D" and he is on a low sugar, low carb diet. He is also very overweight, so in his case, that is a big contributer. I hope in your case, it doesn't develop into a full blown issue.

  13. Hey HOdi, good to see you posting. I admire you for being able to take power naps. I used to try that when I was working, but I always slept too long.

  14. J/L, when I left Sac it was starting to rain and it followed me here. How's your weather?

  15. Good evening feathered friends!

TINKA...that was good advice from JUST LIN. I hope you are able to avoid the D word.

    JUST LIN...good advice to TINKA!

HODI...the massive amounts your boys eat just mean they are healthy growing kids!! Now at my age to eat that amount isn't such a good thing! Growing horizontally!

SACBARB...sorry you're not having the usual beautiful SD weather. I'm sure the rain will bring sunny skies.

ZONA...those were freaky! WOuldn't wanna meet any of those in a pool!

  16. I saw the funniest thing today.
I went to the restroom at the Circle K. There is a baby changing table in the restroom...The Sturdy Station.

Some creative person cut out the S and the Y and that left...

    The TURD STATION!!

    I envy creative people!!

    And yes...I took a picture!

  19. Evenin' All!

Thanks for the comments today..I thought these pics were so cool..

TINKA: I wonder if it could be more related to meds than food..especially since you eat a low sugar diet..maybe you could ask your doctor if any of the medicine you are taking could raise your sugar levels?

..you're right..they do look almost prehistoric..especially those big teeth!!

JODI: We still have a lot of leftovers..I used some of the ham to make ham salad..the rest of the food is Randy's..I expect him to cry 'UNCLE!' after tonight.. ;D

J/LIN: Sheesh I hope not..well maybe the buggy eyes.. :D

BARB: TINA was just thrilled beyond belief to see these pics.. ;D

I checked out the website..Sakima is so freakin' cute!!

MO: Awww..they would only go after you if you had their ball.. ;D

Have a nice night everyone..I'm going to Hawaii...the farm that is.. ;D
