In Barbados, the kids took surfing lessons. The twins had already taken lessons in Hawaii and they've surfed with their uncle in Southern California, but we thought it would be fun for them to do it here too. They seemed to enjoy it.
Afterwards, they went bodysurfing......the youngest thought he'd try out the head camera. (another warning....may make you sea sick!)
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteTina it looks like you and the fam had a great time. I always wanted to learn how to surf. Good for the kids getting out there and doing it!
Michael I am also glad you are reconnecting with your family. It sounds like you found Owl Manor in Texarcana. (sp) We are all with you, but watch your back, Shirley could have boobie trapped anything there before you arrive.
Sacbarb rest up today! That was a whole lot of driving!
Waving at all of the owls.
Happy Anniversary TINA and MR. T!! I vote Lemon Cake from OG as part of the celebration!! NO PEAS!! :D
ReplyDeleteTINA: How fun for your kids!! It looks like they had a really good time. My gosh the memories they are going to have of this trip!! No motion sickness with this vid either..except at the very end when the camera got turned sideways.
I love to watch surfing..I just think it's so cool! I body surfed in Ca when I was waaaay younger..I couldn't do it now to save my life. When we were kids we'd throw a 'boogie board' into the pool..dive onto it and cruise to the other end of the pool..that was my extent at trying to really 'surf'..fun tho!
Thanks for the wonderful pics and vids of your vacation..love them all!! :)
MICHAEL: I search and search..but I don't have the words..I'm at a loss. I just want you to know I'm thinking about you. I'm glad you've found a place that will make you comfortable..I'm just sorry you have to go in the first place. I think it's wonderful that you are in contact with your sisters again..I only wish it wasn't under these circumstances.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning LYNN..I hope you have fully recouperated from your farm day yesterday! Are you going to try to get some painting in today?
ReplyDeleteI was gone all day Friday..lots to catch up on today..see y'all later. :)
Good morning Owls...well it is morning for me cause I got up about 30 minutes ago. I was so keyed up when I got home I couldn't get to sleep, so I watched the Opening Ceremonies replay after Jimmy Fallon. Finally drifted off about 4:30am. P.S. I thought they were good, but China's Opening Ceremonies were better overall.
ReplyDeleteTina, Looks like a fun vacation. The water was so clear, and the beach didn't look too crowded. Thanks for the vid.
ReplyDeleteLynn, So it was a good day down on the farm? You will have to teach Eva the difference between a goat and a dog. When my oldest was 18 months old he thought any animal with four legs was an uppy (puppy).
ReplyDeleteZona, Is Mr. Z's vacation over? I hope he didn't make any messes cleaning out rooms that you will have to clean up.
Good Evening friends.
ReplyDeleteEveryone watching the Olympics tonight? I have to catch up as I took a nap a little longer than I had planned on.
Tina....Happy Anniversary. I think Zona had a good idea for your celebration with your favorite lemon cake!! Twenty two years is a long time. I know it probably only seems like yesterday to the two of you.
Barb...boy, you were a true night owl last night. I agree with you about the opening ceremonies. I liked the countries and the secon half better than the first half.
Michael...I'm glad you've located a nice place to live. I'm also glad you plan on reconnecting with your family. I think of you often.
Zona...did you do our plan of cleaning out some of our clothes yesterday? I will not tell a lie----I didn't. We need to do a "re-do" on our plan.
Lynn---you can still learn how to surf. Next time you go to the beach go find some lessons an off you will go. I always wished I knew how to ski but too old and feeble now. I wish my parents would have given me lessons.
JL....where are you today ? I'm sure you are awake by now.
LynnD Waving back at you. How did things go down on the farm?
ReplyDeleteZona I have a lot of catching up to do around here but I keep not doing it. :(
ReplyDeleteTina Thank you for sharing your vacation pics with us. Kudos to the kids for surfing. What fun! Not many waves to catch in Utah, is there?
ReplyDeleteSacBarb I was thinking of calling you last night but it was already 11:30 and I thought it would be too late. Boy, was I wrong! LOL
ReplyDeleteDianne Here I am! I actually woke up via alarm clock today so I could meet my daughter for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. We are trying to figure out what next cruise we should take. She wants to do something in early December. She and her boyfriend/partner are going to France for 2 weeks in October. Wish I was going, too.
ReplyDeleteWow France, how fun. You could be the chaperone! I have a lot of catching up to do too. I still havevthevlist of what I'm going tondr when I retire---five years ago.
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams, HOoters.
