~ St. Thomas ~

by Tina~in_ut

We didn't take a single picture in St. Thomas. I couldn't believe it. It was gorgeous and there was so much to see. I thought for sure with all the cameras we brought that SOMEONE would have something. Thank God for my husband and the underwater camera. These are two videos from when he was snorkeling. We met a lady from there who told us that most locals bring dog treats with them to feed the fish. If you get them wet, they crumble and the fish will eat them out of your hand.....and they will swarm you. My oldest tried it and the fish came from everywhere!!! I wish I had a video of THAT!!! If you have a headache, don't watch the video. If you get seasick easily, don't watch. Otherwise, enjoy!

Here is a little more. You don't need to watch past 2:30. I don't think the hubby realized he left the camera running~ (oh brother!) And I really wish we had a video of the sting ray~ ugh~

  3. Morning Glories!

Really like the video, but I did have to stop it about half way through had the vertigo feeling. I put my head phones on and had to laugh it sounded a bit like Godzilla chasing the little fish. :)

Eva had Her check up and still has to work on a couple of things with speech therapy and occupational therapy. She will do that down here by our house. She is doing so well that she won't have to go back to Mary Bridge until she is 30 months old for another check up.

    Progress. :)

    Waving at everyone!

  4. Zona What a great splash you made today. You are looking lovely and, might I add, not dusty at all. I guess you have tidied up since the last haboob.

Ah! You narrowly escaped being a Valley Girl. LOL

  5. LynnD I'm glad Eva is doing so well. For a second I thought you were going to write that she didn't have to go back to Mary Bridge until she is 30. LOL

  6. Tina Thanks for the vid but I could only watch a little bit of it. What a shame that no one took pictures above the water. :( If I recall correctly, aren't there a lot of shops there, duty-free of course? Did you buy any jewelry or anything?

  7. Tina, Thanks to you and Hubby for the vid. I have never been snorkeling but it looked like it was fun. I loved to watch the Jacques Cousteau shows with all the underwater life.

  8. Zona, you spaa-lashed water all over the nest, miss pretty! I can't imagine you being a Valley Girl.

Lynn, Yay for Eva. She is really a cutie. :)

    J/L, Aren't you a Valley Girl?

I'm waiting for Sharon. We are going to see a show called Triple Espresso at our Cabaret Theater today. Have a good day. BBL

  9. Waving at J/L and Sacbarb.

It has been a long day here. Eva has been screaming her head off about everything and Richard is not helping. At first I thought it was because she was worn out from yesterday, I do think that is part of it, but we just discovered that she had a tooth come in at some point since yesterday.

I have to say her screeching is getting on my last nerve today.

Sacbarb that sounds like a play I would enjoy. :)

  10. Hi Everyone.....how are all of you doing today?

Good video Tina. It makes me want to go swimming or at least on vacation. I'm still laughing how I thought you were your daughter yesterday and the striking resemblance

Barb, how was that play? Our next one is The Book Of Mormons in August. It sounds like its going to be good.

Lynn, I think the screaming might get to me too. Our house is so quiet that it even bothers some times to need noise

JL , I think you are a valley girl as Barb mentioned. Do you say "like" a lot?

Zona, not fair-- you are used to splashing for the reals every day do no wonder you dive looks so perfect at first. PS. Quit writing my number on walls as Louis is getting wise to all the phone calls.

  11. SacBarb and Dianne Not really a valley girl although there was no such term when I was in high school. My town was not in San Fernando Valley but is part of San Gabriel Valley and is at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. In my day, we were saying things like "bitchin"

  12. Well Triple Espresso was not what I thought it would be and neither Sharon nor I were impressed. It was three guys doing slap stick comedy and that isn't my thing. More like the Three Stooges. Lynn, I don't know if you would like it - there was no coffee involved. :(

Dianne, Sharon and I have season tickets to the Broadway Series here and this season 5 of the 6 shows were announced and the sixth is supposed to be a mega-hit which will be revealed in August. I am hoping it will be Book of Mormon. My uncle saw it in NYC and said it was hilarious.

  13. Hi all~ Went to see Batman today...good movie....but hard not to think of that madman when the characters in the movie start spraying bullets all over the place....and that was a lot~

Glad u liked the videos.....had SO MUCH FUN snorkeling in St. Thomas....the kids had scuba diving lessons....we really only stayed on the beach for about 4-5 hours....not really much shopping...just postcards....and then back to the ship to stuff our faces~

  15. I really wish I could see The Book of Mormon, too.

Today I started reading Tina Fey's book, "Smartypants". It's making me laugh out loud.
