  1. Happy Wednesday Owls. I can't believe I'm first! I am up and at 'em early today because I have errands to run and I want to do them before it gets hot! So, have a great day everyone.

Dianne, I have tried this and it works really well. The grapes are kinda mushy when they thaw (if you want to eat them), but after enough wine, who cares!

  2. Morning Glories!

I saw this and thought, this is genius! Did you know that you can start a campfire using Doritos? I saw this on the same site. Thanks for the blog Dianne!

    LOL at Barb.

I am heading out soon for a Manny Pedi and day of looking for beauty. Waving at everyone!

  7. Thank you for all the comments yesterday. I didn't realize it had been posted. Stayed home from work yesterday because I was coughing so bad during the night, it was making me vomit. Went to the Dr yesterday, and they did the test for the Whooping Cough. Don't have the results yet, but they are treating me like I do. Can't go back to work til Sunday. My temp was up to 102 last night, but was the first night that I slept more than an hour at a time.

  13. who'd have thought you could put grapes in wine?

Bad day here. White girls started cleaning before I was out of the room. Had to smell those noxious fumes monentarily...

And my tea this afternoon was served with a soupspoon. I am just about at my wits end....

  15. Jodi, The frozen grapes will also work to keep your beer cold, unless of course it doesn't last long enough to lose it's chill. ;-) I hope you feel better soon.

Zona, good thing Randy doesn't smoke AND eat Doritos.

Lynn, I thought the immunizations we got as babies lasted forever. Now you tell me we have to get another shot? CRAP!

J/L, It only got up to 90 here today.

Michael, Maybe they are trying to tell you something with the big spoon!

  16. Hi Everyone---thanks for the comments today. When I sent this in it had a whole list of things and the Doritos thing was one of them. They must of not gone over when it arrived.

Michael: sounds like the owl manor has better manners than the place you are staying. Horrible---a soup spoon with tea!!!!! I also hate to be served soup WITHOUT a soup spoon!!

Congrats of being first Barb.. You look so lovely and refreshing so early in the morning. We are havin even hotter weather than you and I'm over it!! We have broken all kinds od records this summer. I wonder how winter will be--if we have it.

Wow Jodi, I sure hope you get better soon. Did the er say you had to get the shot? I hope it works better than the shingles shot!

Zona---still swimming, right? I think I sawitvwas about 107 there today. Heck, it's cooling off.

Lynn--sounds like you had a nice relaxing day today. Good for you. I love pedicures. I just love to soak the most.

JL---is your old friend out fighting any fires this summer? There have been so many everywhere. Hope he keeps safe.

My damn shingles are still itching especially at night. It's been since May. I'm over this too. Yup, itches and heat make me grumpy.

Well, time to go to bed as tomorrow is a work day for me. My daughter works me hard. Night everyone---have a good sleep.

  17. Michael: Next time ask them to serve you with a coke spoon! hehe

Dianne: I got shingles earlier this year, but the patch cleared up nicely with the meds they gave me.

  19. LynnD In June I got my pneumonia vaccine updated and the doctor also had me get my DTAP vaccime updated. I've been reading that there's an increase in whooping cough cases.

  20. Zona Now where would one put fossilized vomit? On the mantel? Coffee table? I guess I'll pass on that. LOL

  21. Dianne He was out on two fires recently, one of which is still raging. He is currently on mandatory rest period but his crew will probably be called back out soon. He will not be going this time as an elderly family member is failing and he may have to make last minute travel plans because of that.

  22. Michel It always takes a while to train new staff to your preferences, right? But really, a soup spoon with your tea? How crass!

  23. Bear Glad to here you got over your bout of Shingles without too mush discomfort. My husband got a couple of years before he died and it never did clear up 100%. His health was compromised, though.
