OLD-TIMERS HOSPITAL STAY

by Dianne

Old Jim was sick and in the hospital.
There was one nurse that just drove him crazy.
Every time she came in, she would talk to him like he was a little child.
She would say in a patronizing tone of voice,
And how are we doing this morning',

or 'Are we ready for a bath', or 'Are we hungry?'
Old Jim had had enough of this particular nurse.
One day, Old Jim took the apple juice off the
breakfast tray and put it in his bed side stand.
Next time he was given a urine bottle to fill for testing,
well, you know where the juice went!

The nurse came in a little later, picked
up the urine bottle and looked at it.
'My, it seems we are a little cloudy today.'

At this, Old Jim snatched the bottle out of her hand,
popped off the top, and drank it down, saying,
'Well, I'll run it through again.
Maybe I can filter it better this time.'
The nurse fainted!
Old Jim just smiled!

DON'T MESS WITH 'OLD' PEOPLE!!!!

  2. Good Morning Tina - Congrats on being first. I was wondering where you were hiding lately.

Sorry I have been MIA. Some days my hands just don't want to type. I wait a few days and the arthritis calms down. Dianne I think being 40 for so many years is taking its toll.
I have enjoyed your blogs. Thanks for sharing.

My days have been filled with water therapy, doctor's visits and taking my doggies out with the help of my scooter. One day flows into another and I don't really have any news to write about. They are happy days however. I am thankful for all I have.

Happy Labour Day weekend to all owls. Have fun and stay safe. Love, Tink

  3. Tina You are bright and shiny and purdy today in first. Yes, the fires are horrendous and C tells me that some will continue to burn until the first snow in October. As of yesterday, he and I will no longer communicate with each other and that's about all I want to say about that. It's been a difficult relationship to try and maintain.

I am home from my painting class and running around. I don't know why I come home so worn out but I am pooped.

We did another landscape today but it is a sunset. I will maybe post it on FB tomorrow when I am not so darn tired.

Dianne, Eva is doing great. She bounced right back and is in fine trouble causin form.

Tinka so sorry about your arthritis but I am so happy that you are having happy days.

Jodi maybe I missed it but did you get diagnosed? I hope you are feeling better.

    Waving at Tina and J/L.

Dianne, Very Funny story. And I love the last sentence, "Don't mess with old people."

Tinka, sorry your hands are hurting. I pray that the doctors will find a way to give you some relief from the pain.

J/L, Did you go see Hope Springs again or were the friends you were talking about Lynn and me?

    Tina, Good moaning, beautiful.

  10. I just got home from a memorial service for the head usher of the Tuesday night Music Circus crew. She has been sick for a few years, but has really been failing since January, when she fell and broke her hip. I have known her since 1969 when my Hubby and I first started ushering. She will be missed by many.
