This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

50 Ways To Say Goodbye
by Sac Barb
Train was on the Today show and I was surprised to hear they have been together 20 years. They still have IT imho, plus they make a really good wine and the money goes to a San Francisco charity. This is their latest song.
We are going out to the Saanich Fair in an hour so I must get going fast this morning. We are meeting the family out there. I will check back later. Hope everyone is having a great Labour Day weekend. Stay safe.
BARB: I really liked this song! Especially the line..'got run over by a crappy purple Scion'..made me lol..for reals! Thanks for that..and this oh so catchy tune today. :)
Just another quick fly-by.. My phone has been ringing non stop today. I need to write a song "50 ways to carry your phone" "tucked in my bra,in my back pocket, wear an apron all day and keep it in the pouchy thingy". Not a very catchy tune eh? Love "Train". I have to DJ another wedding reception in 2 weeks and they asked for Train's "Marry Me". Thanks or the shout outs. Have a great day...phones ringing
Tina, YW I really like this song too, especially the trumpet (I think that's what it is).
Tinka, have fun with the family.
Zona, That 'scion' line made me laugh too, 'cause I know someone with a crappy orange one. Also, the 'dried up in the desert' line made me think of you. Not because you dried up, but well, you know...
Mary, You could make that lyric fit this tune. I wish I could attend one of your DJ events. I bet you rock!
I was going to send another version of this song, then I found this one with the lyrics and decided I liked being able to read and sing along. No matter how many times I have heard this song, I have not been able to sing along because somewhere along the way, I get it screwed up. LOL
I really like Train. They are from the Bay Area and they really give back to the community. We don't have any stores in Sac that sell their wine, but it is available online and I'm going to order some. They have also recently partnered with Ghiradelli and now they sell Train chocolate. Must have some of that!
Just-lin, It is on vibrate lol, I don't hear so good anymore.
Barb, I keep telling peeps that call that I am a "KJ", (Karaoke) not a DJ". They ask if I have reg. music. I do so, I give in and DJ.lol! It's fun, but tiring. It is hard to please everyone.
Greetings to all owls in the nest and out having fun. Sorry I am too tired to name you but I love you all.
Home from the Fair and as usual exhausted. It was a fun day, a tradition we have had for about 60 years. Some things never change and this Fair is one of them. What memories it stirs. Ready for bed.
Barb - Loved the song. Sorry I didn't mention it this morning.
Good Moaning ~
