  2. Good Morning Tina - I love your blog. It is very true. Words are so powerful. They can sting or they can make you feel so beautiful. Thanks for the reminder.

Happy Labour Day to all owls. Hope you have fun today. I always feel a little sad because it is a signal that summer is over. I know most owls love Autumn but I could easily take two more months of Summer. I love it. We had a very busy day yesterday so today it is going to be a very quiet one. Time for breakfast. See you later.

  3. TINA: Great video..great message..and if you have posted it before..it doesn't matter..it's worth watching over and over again.

TINKA: You and I agree on most things..but I'm afraid we have a difference of opinion here..I hate summer..lol..I know you understand.. :)

  4. Zona - I completely understand. If I had to live where it was over 100 degrees for months I would hate summer too. You must come and spend a summer here with us and you would see how beautiful our summers can be. Sitting out on the deck in the warm sunshine, smelling the fragrant odours that drift by, watching the hummingbirds go from flower to flower having their lunch and observing the odd Bambi wander into our back field is the closest thing to Heaven that I can imagine.

  5. Hello Everyone. We are home from a long weekend. We were up in the mountains at a nice big cabin. My kids were there and all five of my grand kids. It was nice to have them all together. They play nice together too (or as the older ones tell me they are hanging out not playing). Our weather was beautiful and not quite so hot as home. We already made our reservation for the 4th of July!!!

The bad news is my knee that hasn't been replaced is KILLING me. It's always hurt off and on for a long time but the last two weeks it's gotten worse each day. I can barely walk I will be trying to find a dr tomorrow and get in as soon as they get an opening. I do not want another knee replacement!!

Tink: your summers sound lovely. I'm like Zona and not crazy about summer. We had and are still having such a hot summer this year....I'm so ready for fall.

Zona: I would hate summer if I lived in Arizona too, but I would like it in December!

Tina: very nice blog. I don't remember it but that's not a surprise.

Mary: great to see you on the blog. You sounded like you have been busy all weekend.

Happy Labor Day to everyone. .

  6. Happy Labor Day Owls, or what's left of it.

Tina, This is a wonderful message,

Tinka, sitting out on your deck, smelling summer and watching the wildlife sounds like heaven.

Zona, I have no words for your AZ summers.

Dianne, So sorry your knee is acting up. I hope you don't need a replacement, but if you do, you know the knee will feel much better after the recovery period. I'm sorry I waited so long to get my second one done because I didn't have to be in pain for as long as I was.

I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend.

  7. TINKA: That sounds wonderful..I know I would love spending the summer there with you! I'd love to see Bambi..and Thumper too! :)

DI: You would love December thru February..it really is beautiful here then. The nights will start to cool down in a couple weeks..then the 100 degree days won't bother me as much.

I sure hope you can get some relief for your knee pain..it sucks that you are hurting so much.

BARB: I do..HOT! PHOOEY! ICKY! STICKY! BLECH! Actually..I'm not sure if BLECH is a word..lol.. :D

  8. Zona - Let's pencil that visit for next summer.

Dianne - Isn't it fun to get the whole family together? That is my favourite thing to do.

I will add you to my prayers and hope your knee gets all better.

We have had a beautiful weekend. The forecast is for lovely weather all next week. That always happen on the first week of school.

Wishing everyone a sleep with beautiful dreams tonight. Love, Tinka

  9. Tina Thanks for the blog. I have seen it before but I'm not sure if it was here on the blog or not. It is a good message and worth remembering.

  10. Tinka It would be difficult for me to return to an area where there is 100* plus temps. I've been in the mild climate of the Bay Area way too long. Plus, I think that hot weather is harder on us as we get older. I mean, I know we are only 39 but still.....we are pushing 40, right? ;)

  11. Zona Luckily you are still young and can handle the weather there, right? I remember those hot summer days in SoCal and how nice the cool evenings were. That was fun, really, to be outside doing stuff late into the night, wearing little sleeveless tops and shorts. Half the time here, I'm wearing some kind of light jacket or sweater, summer or not.

  12. Dianne Sounds like you had a wonderful, fun weekend. How has your daughter been doing? Did they ever figure out what was going on with her? I assume she's doing well since you haven't mentioned her.

I'm sorry to hear about your knee. :(

  13. SacBarb I hope you've had a nice weekend. It was pretty low-key here. My son had his kids here for the weekend. The weekend involved some barbequing (what a surprise). My granddaughter has a little girlfriend here and she had a fun sleepover with her. The kids and dog had fun playing at the beach, too.
