Mexican Jews

by Maureen

Two old Jewish men, Sid and Al, are sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Los
Angeles one day. Sid asks Al, "Do you know of any people of our faith born
and raised in Mexico?"

Al replies, "I don't know, let's ask our waiter."

When the waiter arrives, Al asks, "Are there any Mexican Jews?"

The waiter says, "I don't know, Senor, I ask the cooks."

He returns from the kitchen a few minutes later and says, "No, Senor, the
cook say no Mexican Jews."

Al isn't satisfied and asks, "Are you absolutely sure?"

The waiter, realizing he is dealing with 'Gringos,' replies, "I check once
again, Senor."

While the waiter is away, Sid says, "I find it hard to believe that there
are no Jews in Mexico .. Our people are scattered everywhere."

The waiter returns and says, "Senor, the head cook say there is no Mexican
Jews."

Al asks, "Are you certain? I just can't believe there are no Mexican Jews."

The exasperated waiter says, "Senor, I ask EVERYONE... All we have is
Orange Jews, Grape Jews, Prune Jews and Tomato Jews!"

  1. Good Morning Everyone - Cute joke Maureen.

I didn't get my house decorated for Halloween yesterday so that is my project for today. What are you all doing this lovely October morn?

  2. Tinka Good morning! You are looking so pretty today in first! Have fun decorating! I still haven't done anything about that, either. I usually put up some of that fake spider web stuff around the entry to the front door. I need to buy more of that and hang some big fake spiders in it. We are expecting some rainy days starting Monday so I guess I should either do it now or wait til the rain passes.

  4. Tinka, You are a beauty in first today. I hope you get your decorating done today. In addition to the reason I stated yesterday, I don't decorate because I have had zero trick-or-treaters for at least the past 8 years. We used to get 200 or more kids and my Hubby would dress up and answer the door (and count the kids) while I took the kids around the neighborhood with a bunch of other Moms. I live on a dead end street and the kids just don't bother to turn that corner now. Plus, I think fewer kids actually trick-or-treat these days.

  5. Mo, I didn't see that ending coming. Made me LOL. Thanks for sending it in. Do friends send you lots of Jewish jokes like my friends send me Catholic priest/nun jokes? They really do make me laugh.

  6. J/L, After it rains in the Bay Area it will be moving on to Sac. Yay...not! I don't really mind the rain as long as I don't have to drive in it.

  7. MO: That cracked me up! Thank you for the giggles!!

TINKA: Hello beautiful lady! We are all decorated..inside and out..for Halloween..no surprise there I'm sure!! Now we just have to move all the boxes the decorations were in out of the living room..family room..studio..and into a less visible room.. ;D

J/LIN: Please send me rainy days and I'll send you a couple of big spiders...deal? ;D

BARB: We are still getting tons of trick or treaters..over 300 last year! Of course the lights and music from our house can probably be seen and heard for miles! We bought some of the candy for Halloween night last weekend..7 of those big bags from Sam's..we still need to buy a couple more..just to be safe. :D

  8. I've been shredding stuff all day today. You have to understand I take after my dad and save everything..receipts..checks..deposit slips..everything..so there is a lot to go through. I even found my Gemco card!! I'm almost finished..but this last bit has been a little tough..it's all my mom and dad's stuff. It's amazing the memories that come flooding back just looking at an old greeting card or a check with a birthday message on it..ya know? I know..that's probably silly..but it's true.

I have one box to go..ONE..and then I'm done. :)

I hope everyone had a good day..back to shredding for me..and maybe a visit to the farm.. ;)

    Have a good evening!

Cute joke mo. Gave me a good chuckle. Thanks for blog.

Zona, randy has everything decorated? You mean he won't be running around on Halloween trying to get things done? Next it will be the Christmas trees

  12. SacBarb I'm actually looking forward to a couple of days of rain. My ideal would be to have clear skies and comfortable weather in the daytime and hard rain at night that I can listen to as I drift off to sleep. Love that!

  13. Zona Can you and Randy come and decorate for me? I'd sure appreciate it. Just the house, though, not me. LOL
