I've never been a big Bob Dylan fan..but I absolutely love this song and video. Randy found it one day while watching the Fuse music channel on On Demand. He'd seen it before..but I hadn't. I think I've watched it at least once a day since then. I love the way Dylan says.. "Who laughs this way..Ho Ho Ho.." makes me laugh every time!! :D
Good Morning Everyone....
ReplyDeleteWell, I still haven't found my missing gifts and looked everywhere last night and its making me a little crazy!!!!
Zona, I loved the song. I haven't heard it before and it's very catchy. I found myself ready to sing along already. Thanks for the blog and TINA, thanks for posting.
Tina, I see you are still working tons of OT. When does that nice long vacation start? You'll be wanting to sleep it away. We received some of your snow but only about an inch. Hopefully the mtns got a lot. It's just very icy here.
My daughters umm I guess you say boyfriend got in an accident on the ice last night...with her car. No injuries and slid hard into a curb but car had to be towed. Just one more thing!!!
Today we are meeting my brother and his wife at The Melting Pot. They have a gift cert and wanted to use it. It's not my favorite place as I think it's expensive and then you have to cook your own food. Have they forgotten I don't cook!!! Oh well, Louis really likes it too
ZONA - What a fun song!! And a polka to boot ;)
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - Good morning!! My you're pretty today ♥ That's too bad about your daughters boyfriend. Glad no one was hurt!! Sorry you can't find those gifts....very frustrating I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteFROM AREA 51:
ReplyDeleteBARB - No dancing on the tables...lol!! Definitely had a good time! My co-worker Michele introduced me to one of her friends and low and behold it was Paul's cousin Jessie!! Small world. She was the flower girl at our wedding!!
MARY - Yes, I did PARTEEE!!! I'm not feeling too bad today. Coffee certainly is helping!!
ReplyDeleteZONA - I love working this time of year. Always a challenge with the Scrooges ;)
ReplyDeleteDIANNE & MARY - The rest of the group went to another bar to listen to a band. My hubby brought me home rather early (10pm), but I was done!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll b back later. Have to run to Wallyworld to pick up the rest of my Christmas cards!!
ReplyDeleteJodi, I loved your Christmas cards. Very clever how it was designed and loved the pictures.
ReplyDeleteYour shopping early today...maybe beat the crowds.
Morning Glories! Like the song but the video reminds me of too many family Christmases with my Dad's family. imjs
ReplyDeleteDianne You look beautiful in first today. Was it yesterday that you had girl time with your daughter and granddaughters getting your mani-/pedis? That was nice. So sorry about Tammy's car, though. Hey, in area 51 I suggested you check out your car for the presents. I used to hide stuff in the trunk.
ReplyDeleteDianne2 Maybe you hid those gifts in the oven. Bwahahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteZona What a wild song! A Jewish boy singing a Christmas polka! LOL Back in the day, I saw Dylan and Joan Baez having coffee in a coffee house before I knew who they were. I became quite a fan of his soon after and used to play his albums on my portable record player.
ReplyDeleteHOdi Sounds like you had a good time last night. Our office party is tonight. They're having it at the Embassy Suites in another city. I won't be partying too hard as I will be driving myself. It is bad enough to drive at night with these silly cataracts that make light flare out and intesifies glare.
ReplyDeleteLynnD Well, hopefully you don't keep up that particular tradition. Are you and the Mr. going to take yourselves to the beach?
ReplyDeleteLynnD Well, hopefully you don't keep up that particular tradition. Are you and the Mr. going to take yourselves to the beach?
ReplyDeleteOooops. Blogger playing games, again.
ReplyDeleteI forgot Dianne you look Marvelous at first!
ReplyDeleteCheck behind the couch and under the bed.
No I am not blonde yet. Will be next week.
Barb and Jodi thank you so much for the Christmas cards!
Tinka rest those eyes!
Having a lazy day. Nice not to have a day of errands to run or have to sit in a hospital.
Waving a wing at everyone!
DIANNE & LYNN - You're welcome!! I went to Wal-Mart.com. They had tons if card choices!!
ReplyDelete20!!!
ReplyDeleteSLIN - Have fun tonight!!
ReplyDeleteWoke up to a dusting of snow. By the time it stopped, we have about 3 inches. It looks really pretty :). perfect to set the mood today. I've been watching Christmas movies while doing laundry. Jake had never watched the Charlie Brown Christmas special. I had fun sharing it with him today. :)
ReplyDeleteDianne My ideas are:
ReplyDeleteTrunk of car
Oven :)
Packed in luggage
HOdi Thank you for the card. Darling pictures of you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments..glad you liked the song! I listened to it at least 4 times today..it always gets me be-boppin! :D
DI: Hmmm..so I guess Santa can rule out tucking a gift card to The Melting Pot into your stocking..lol..
I'm glad your daughter's SO is ok! We don't have the ice problem here..but we did when we were in CA..very scary..especially at night!
JODI: Yay..snow!! Just be careful and remember the yax trax..k? :)
How fun to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special with Jake!! I never get tired of it. Did he like it?
LYNN: My folks used to have those kinds of parties too..really! I don't remember anyone crashing through the window..but I do remember going into the backyard after one party and seeing our Doughboy pool completely crushed. S'ok though..my parents had a built in one put in a couple weeks later. :)
J/LIN: I know I wrote that I was never much of a fan of Bob Dylan..well that's changed. I always liked 'Lay Lady Lay'..but now I'm going to listen to some of his other songs as well. Absolutely LOVE this song. :D
FROM 51:
ReplyDeleteBARB: Nikki is 6...sigh..I don't think she is gonna change..oh well..she's pretty much a good girl..until she's not.. ;)
I am absolutely pooped. My knee is screaming at me..lol.. We went shopping today for Christmas gifts and for all the supplies for Randy to make cookies for work..yippie..here we go again.. :D
I hope everyone had a good day today..and that your evening is nice as well..later maters..swak! :)
SLIN - You're welcome and lol @ looking in the oven!!!
ReplyDeleteZONA - He thought it was ok...but didn't get why I was laughing. Guess it was such a classic from my childhood. I so looked forward to it each year. I really was thinking about how it cracked my Dad up :)
ReplyDeleteMARY - I just turned the game on. Lions vs Packers!! Bring it ;)
ReplyDelete30!!!
ReplyDeleteJL. Ok, I'll look in that oven for the presents. Could you tell me where I'd find it and what an oven actually looks like?
ReplyDeleteJodi, looks like its still snowing at your game tonight. It stopped snowing here and hardly have any but it's 20 tonight. A little chilly out there.
We're already home from our dinner but we went early. I don't think my brother was too impressed with the food. He thought he might be hungry later. It's a fun experience but hope I don't have to go back for another few years. They had never been before so at least they got to try it. Give me a restaurant with a good steak and baked potato anytime.
Zona, I forgot its cookie making time at your house again. It's either decorate for Halloween, carve pumpkins, put up the Christmas trees or make the cookies. Going to be quiet after the holidays around there.
I ordered the lost presents online so they won't be in the car.....not under the couch or bed....now where?
Hello everyone.
ReplyDeleteI ushered for Dickens' A Christmas Carol today. I've only seen it about 15 times. It was a really good production, but it kinda gets boring after about the 10th time.
Jodi, Thanks for the card. Great pics of all of your family.
J/L, We had a beautiful day today even though it was a little chilly. So glad that rain is gone for a while.
Dianne, I hope you found those Christmas gifts. I used to find things meant for Christmas all the time, after Christmas. Since Todd's birthday is in March, he often got those gifts. When I went to San Diego in October he gave me some tea for my birthday that was supposed to be last year's Christmas gift for me. He said he was just keeping up the tradition. LOL
ReplyDeleteZona, I love love Dylan! I have seen him in Michigan 3 times in the last 2 yrs. I love the old stuff, but his new songs are awesome. If you get a chance listen to "When the Deal goes down" it is a beautiful song.I have never heard this one.
ReplyDeleteDianne,Sorry about the car, but glad it didn't hurt him. Being without a car sucks too!
About your gifts. I used to lose mine too especially if I bought them way early in he year. Usually in the spring I would find them in the back of the closet or in the back of a drawer!
Jodi..Go Lions...even if we are horrible this year lol!
JustLin, how cool that you saw them at the cafe!! I was parked in the building where he was going to be playing. Just as it got dark out he comes in his big round hat and lights up a "cig". To this day I don't know why I didn't get his pic. I guess I was just in shock lol!
LynnD, Hope you are enjoying your "non run-around-day!
BTW, Dianne, the stove is that thing with burners on top and dials to turn them on ;-)
Waving at Barb~~~~~
ReplyDeleteMary, ohhhhh so that's the stove. I dust it sometimes but I didn't really know what it was used for...thought it was a planter!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear some of the rest of you lose presents too but I seriously need to find these soon. It's part of my count for each child!!
First and last so far
ReplyDeleteBARB - You're welcome ♥
ReplyDeleteMARY - I was scared...you were ahead when I went to bed. Got up just before the end of the game. Whew!!! Now all we have to do is beat those Stinky Bears next week and we will be 1st in our conference!
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - I hope Bruce doesn't waste away to nothing ;) Amen about the steak and a potato!! 25 years ago Prime Quarter Steakhouse was all the rage here. I didn't like it....you had to cook your own steak. I'd much rather have them cook it for me!! That's the whole point of going out!
ReplyDeleteDianne Did you put the gifts away or did you hide them when the kids came over. I used to hide gifts in plain sight in large green garbage bags in the garage.
ReplyDeleteMary That's cool that we both had Dylan sightings. Mine was probably in '61, maybe '62.
ReplyDeleteHOdi I had fun at the party and the food was quite good. I only had one tall Bloody Mary, though, since I was driving myself, it was night, and I wasn't familar with the are. I hate driving at night now in unfamiliar territory. Although my cataracts are not very advanced, it does make a difference.
ReplyDeleteSLIN - Glad u had a good time, and you got home safe!!
