SWEET DREAMS, HOOTERS!

by Just Lin

I rarely have a dream; at least not one that I remember after waking.  Oh, sometimes I remember it for a fleeting second or two, but I can't hold on to it and it dissipates in the air like smoke.

Dreams are fascinating things.  I've had some wonderfully erotic ones and just as I'm getting to the good part, I wake up.  How infuriating and frustrating is that?  Or is it too often like real life?  Hmmmm.......

Have you ever had a recurring dream or one that you were able to change as you were dreaming it?  I used to have a recurring dream about a Doberman Pinscher that was leaping over a fence, teeth bared and snarling, and about to attack me.  It was very dark and frightening.  As the dream was occuring, I was able to turn the dog into the dobie that was my pet and it was suddenly just a happy dog coming to greet me.  I had this dream so often that I would kind of talk to myself during the scary part and tell myself not to be afraid because the part was coming up where I can change it.  Fortunately, I haven't had that dream in many, many years now.  I guess I finally resolved those fears that caused it.

As a child, I dreamt that I could levitate.  It seemed so real to me that I was sure for a long time that it really happened.  It was similar to the flying dreams that some people have but my dream never took me outside.  I've never had a flying dream as an adult.

I had a funny dream the other night.  In the dream, I was signing in for some kind of convention banquet thing. I was very dressed up but alone.  Apparently, it was a law enforcement occasion because I mentioned my deceased husband's name at the desk where we were to check in.  I'm referring to my second husband  He had been a police lieutenant. After signing in at the desk, I was directed to walk down a hall in the hotel to find the banquet room. As I was walking, I reached up to scratch my chin and discovered a hair there. I took hold of it between my thumb and forefinger and ran my fingers down it to see how long it was; one inch, two inches, three inches!  Still holding the hair, I extended my arm completely and I still hadn't reached the end of it!  I thought to myself that this must be a really fine and blonde hair because no one seemed to notice it.  I let go of it as I continued on to the banquet room and I was now aware of how it was trailing behind me, floating in the breeze as I walked.  For some reason, that pleased me.  LOL

I better go check in the mirror.

  1. Good morning everyone.

Hope you all had a good sleep. I'm awake a little too early again. Have to get my knee machine, take my niece to lunch, and wash my grey away for another month today. Guess I won't get any wrapping done today.

Gloria, boy I know how you feel not getting those showers. At knee rehab you got two a week...nasty!!! Hopefully, you will be feeling well enough to get up those stairs soon. It will make you feel good.

JL, good blog...thank you. I have a dream all the time that someone has stolen my car at a my old work. I call my policeman son and they never can find it. I too had some yummy dreams but the people in them go way back...way back...weird. I also dream (not erotic) about my ex husband a lot. I haven't seen or talked to him in over 13 years. I never dream of Louis. I tell him you either have to be divorced from me or dead before you make those dreams!!

Jodi, where's a our morning coffee? And maybe a donut too

  2. MOrning Glories!

Dianne you are beautiful in first. I think the presents you are looking for are in your closet behind, what looks like some shoes and purses.

I have been on the run every day this week. Didn't even get a chance to get my hair done yet.

I have had bad dreams all this week that have been waking me up. Between the situation with my Dad's wife and the unrest in the country, I wake up feeling helpless. It doesn't help that I seem to be getting a sore throat and my left ear is hurting.

J/L I think I may have to break down and get you the Hubble microscopic mirror we had in our hotel room in Tahoe for you. LOL

    Waving at everyone.

  3. Good Morning!

    J/LIN: Your dream made me laugh..I kept thinking..pull the hair..pull it..pull it!! :D

I've had a couple reoccurring dreams..one about some nasty guy dressed all in black..but I haven't had that one in a while..and the other is about being late for a test at school and not being able to open my locker to get my books. I don't think schools even have lockers any more..shows you what an old fadoo I am!! ;)

I do dream about flying a lot. I also dream about having powers like Samantha Stevens..only I just snap my fingers to make things happen! I wish those dreams would come true..although the flying one could be risky..especially for me.. :D

  4. DI: You look absolutely beeyoooteeful this mornin'!! I'm beginning to wonder if you are scheduling these busy days to get out of wrapping..lol.. ;)

LYNN: I hope your sore throat and sore ear turns out to just be allergies..and that you feel better soon! :)

BARB, DI, J/LIN: I took the easy way out and made the store bought noodles. They are those really skinny ones..Fideo Cortado I think they're called. The soup turned out really good! :)

The weather guessers are insisting we are going to get heavy rains and lots of wind tonight..I hope they are right! Well..the wind I could do without..but love the rain..we sure need it!

    Have a good day everyone!

  5. Zona, they do still have really skinny lockers still.

Just got my leg stretching machine. Huge and awkward. 30 min three times a day. I thought I could lay on bed with it but have to sit in a straight back chair. Boo!!!!

Ok, I'm going to go take some candy to my old rehab place and then off to lunch. Bye.

    Lynn, I'll look there.

  6. J/L, good blog. I kept thinking the same as Zona, pull that sucka! I rarely remember my dreams. And I guess I don't have any worthy of repeating, because I don't think I've had recurring dreams.

Lynn, LOL @ Hubble microscopic mirror. I remember that mirror and how you found my chin hair. I have a mirror that is a 10X magnifier and I still miss errant hairs. It must be my old eyes.

Dianne, I don't know why you have to sit on a chair. It works the same way on a bed unless its different from the one I had. Also, I should mention that I got the machine as soon as I got home from rehab and I had to use it for about six weeks.

Zona, Isn't the man in black Victor? I remember a blog you did about him. I also would like the power that Samantha had to transport anywhere with just a twitch of my nose. If I were a super hero, that would be my power.

  7. Just heard on the TV that today is the day that commercials can't be louder than the program being watched. Finally going into effect is the law that was passed two years ago. Now maybe I won't have to mute the commercials. Well, I'll probably still mute them anyway.

  8. I'm going to wash that grey right out of my hair and send it on its way... I'd do musical notes but I don't know how

  9. Well, today I went back to rehab to visit and bring candy. It was a great experience. I thought they might not remember me but they all did and couldn't believe how great I was walking and looked. I do look better with my hair combed and nicer clothes on and a little makeup. It made me feel good for the positive feedback on my walking as they certainly saw me at my worst. I felt like skipping back to my car when I left. I think it was good for them to see how they played a role in getting me to where I am today.

Anyway, I was just excited and wanted to share my excitement.

  10. Dianne, So awesomely beautiful today!
I am thrilled that your knee surgery was a success!
I also had a recurring dream about my car being stolen after it was towed away at work for no good reason! I was sure it was stolen! After we were robbed in our hotel in Atlanta about 10 yrs ago I had nightmares for a long time.

LynnD I have been on the run all week too! I should be packing instead of being on line lol! We leave for Vegas tomorrow night. It's a short trip. We will be home Monday night.

Zona, was your man in black maybe Johnny Cash? :)

Barb, I have a 10X magnifier too. I would be lost without it!! My chin hairs would prolly reach the floor if it wasn't for my mirror!! Let's not even mention the couple on my ta tas lol!!!

One more spin on FB and back to finishing my Christmas cards and packing. Some of you may see a postmark from Vegas bwah ha ha!!

  11. Thanks for the comments today, HOoters! Tonight I made peanut butter cookies with Hershey Kisses in them. Baking is hard work. I haven't gotten around to checking my farms today. Probably everything is wilted.

  12. Dianne Congrats on being the prettiest today. How nice of you to take candy to the rehab. How great that you got all that positive feedback, too. You've really come a long way from how you were when you were there. BTW, I was automatically humming the tune for washing that gray right out of your hair. You didn't need to be able to make notes. After all, there is nothing like a dame, right?

  13. LynnD I don't own a super 10X magnifying mirror. Maybe I should invest in one or just continue living in blissful ignorance. LOL

  14. Zona I hope you got the rain you were hoping for.

  15. SacBarb I think my old eyes probably miss seeing hairs on my chin, although none are wafting in the breeze, thankfully.

  16. Mary If you send me a card from Vegas could you please put a little bit of your winnings in it? 'Tis the season of sharing, right? LOL

  17. Hey, I want a card and winnings from Vegas too!! Wouldn't be fair to send JL one and not me. Fa la la la

  18. SLIN - I have had a couple erotic dreams, and like you wake up at the good part!! The only other dream that I've been able to really hold onto is the night after Dale died. I could see him at the wheel of his car. Sleeping. But he woke up just before impact and told me that he loved me. He visited his best friend that night, too. Mark was his drum instructor here in Oregon and he had the exact same dream that night ♥

  19. Worked yesterday til 11am, then I had to pick Sam up from work at 2. I had set my alarm for 1:15, but slept thru the damn thing. Thankfully I woke up right at 2, jumped in the car and picked her up. Jake had a wrestling match after school, so I headed up to DeForest for that. He came home with me and was starving, so we stopped at the Cracker Barrel. OMG!!! Did I score some deals there in their gift shop!! 50% off of Wisconsin Badgers apparel (Jake got a hat and a t-shirt), buy 1 get 1 free candles, and 40% off of some Christmas ornaments. I may have to go back!!!

  24. ZONA - When I was in high school...that was my biggest fear. Not remembering my combination!! Reading your post reminded me of that. Who knew that I would grow up to be such a "Rainman" with numbers ;)

  25. BARB - It was good chatting with you this morning!! And glad I could help you "straighten out" your pic!!

  26. Hi Jodi...thanks for the early morning snacks...yum.

Have fun at lunch with Goldie and tell her hi for me...actually, give her a hug for me.

I love the gift shop at Cracker Barrel and I like the food too. I haven't been there for awhile. My husband used to say it cost him more in the gift shop than it did to eat there. Lol. You can find some different little gifts there. Glad you you got some good deals.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend. Get your tassels out as the Bronco game is an important one this time. Broncos have never beat the Ravens there but Peyton Manning has never list to them so should be an interesting matchup.

Sounds like you were busy today. Have a good work night/morning.
