This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Just popin in to be a blog hog :). The Mr & I have appmts to have our arteries checked at hosp.this morning, or I would still be in bed lol! We have this done every other year, just as a precaution. I have a hair apppmt right after. Have a great day all!!!
Tina what a great video! It looked like the Dolphin was trying to show the divers that he was in distress and it worked. So sweet, what wonderful people to help him out.
Tina, I finally had a chance to see the video! It was so touching! I wanted to cry at the way the Dolphin & divers seemed to connect.I knew Dolphins were exceptionally smart. The under water cameras did a great job capturing the moment. Thanks for sharing.
My hair was trimmed and roots covered, I did experience some excruciating pain though! I asked her to get rid of my hairy sideburns. She usually trims them back. This time she waxed them. OMG the pain! May not do that again lol!!
We did get the test results right away. I have no blockage while Jim has some on either side of his neck (arteries). Not much you can do about it. She said Drs don't do anything until there is significant blockage, over 75%, which surprised me!
Hi Mary....I do lip and eyebrow wax and have never gotten used to the pain. I always think they should give me a lollipop afterwards for not screaming!! You look lovely now.
I just got up for a "pit stop" and I'm afraid I won't be going back to sleep. I texted my brother again last night "is there something wrong that you can't answer my texts?" This is what he texted back: "Yes there is. I am having trouble coming to terms with how you treated Dad in the years before his death. Texting more about this is not the proper forum to address this."
WOW!!! I am at a loss for words, but am having plenty of tears right now.....
Oh Jodi, so sorry about your brothers response. Obviously, you don't even know what he's talking about to you. Maybe he should start talking to you to see if you even want to know. It's very hurtful, what he is doing to you. I'm really sorry
HOdi WTF is he talking about? Because you didn't force your dad to spend the last of his life in a way that he didn't want to? I'm sorry your brother is not understanding this. My guess is that your brother is actually feeling guilt that he wasn't there for your father like you were.
JODI: Your brother's text just makes my blood boil. I know..you know..everyone knows..how much you loved your dad. How you worried about him..cared for him..helped him. How you were there for him. How DARE your brother suggest anything else! He needs to examine his own actions..because I think that's where the problem lies. It sounds to me like he's projecting his own guilt onto you..and that's just totally wrong.
I want to kick him in the ankle..I really do.
Don't let him steal your sunshine kiddo..whatever you do. You've done everything you could to try and talk to him..to connect with him..let it be his problem now.

ReplyDeleteMary, I'm glad you are getting your hair done today. It looked a little messy this morning...if you don't mind me saying so.
Lynn and JL, hi to both of you. High 60's and sun and no wind today. It's a perfect day out. On my way to pt. only three sessions left
We sure are quiet here. I went for a long walk with the dog. It is gray and overcast. I think more rain is expected.
ReplyDeleteDianne How was pt today?
Mary Are you happy with your hair and do you have results yet of the scan?
LynnD What are you up to today?

ReplyDeleteDIANNE - I truly have tried reaching out to him. He never once has ever said this to me.
ReplyDeleteSLIN - I think you are right. You know how I had to advocate for all of my Dad's choices.
Time to get prettied up for work.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for being a part of my "family" ♥
