Have you seen the trailer for Oz The Great and Powerful?  Looks like great fun!!  The Wizard of Oz is still one of my all-time favorite movies, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out!

  3. Morning Glories!

Mary you are lovely at first! It is double digits here but still freaking cold!

Jodi I have not seen the trailer for this but I have to say I am not thrilled it seems like they have run out of ideas in Hollywood and they remake everything to death. imho.

  4. JODI: I love The Wizard Of Oz too..and was excited to hear about this movie. Then I saw a much shorter trailer than this one..and I wasn't so sure. Now that I've seen this longer trailer..I'm getting interested in the movie again. I think it could be pretty cool! I really like James Franco..so that's a big plus. There is one thing I'm kinda worried about..the Wicked Witch in the original movie still scares the bejeebers out of me..so I know this Wicked Witch is going to really freak me out! I wonder if I should take my 'fringe towel' to the theater? ;D

MARY: Good Morning! You look absolutely stunning today! Fingers crossed that you get to and from the doctor without snow! It's going to be 82 here today..I wish I could send you some of that warm air!!

Have a good day everyone! :)

  10. Afternoon owls. .....how ya'all doing today? That's my Southern voice in case you were wondering.

Mary, you are blinding beauty at first today. Your hair even looks all pretty. Now, I don't think I'd wait three hours at a dr office. I usually have to wait an hour at my primary and that's long to me. How long did you end up waiting?

Thanks for the blog, Jodi. I don't know if I want to see this or not. You know how I am about the original one. It was hard enough for me to see Wicked!!

Zona, not to be mean but I think it would look a little strange taking your special Bronco towel to the movies...just saying but to each their own.

JL, it was supposed to be 70 here today and it made it to 52. I think those forecasters were really wrong today.

Lynn, I kind of dont love the remake of movies either. I'm still telling all of you to go and see Parental Guidance and Guilt Trip....so dang funny.

Met my friend for some Italian food for lunch and it was yummy. Anyone watching American Idol this year? I'm not nuts about the judges at all and last week everyone was screaming at each other. I thin I've gotten too old for it anymore.

  11. Just so you don't think I am still waiting..... here I am! LOL!! It wasn't too bad 1 1/2 hrs in there.I did run into some snow coming home, but not too bad.

About the movie trailer... I loved the special effects, but it started to get a little gory for me. I am a wimp! Not much on horror movies either!

Dianne I watched AI for a little while last week and just a few minutes tonight. I just can't get into it for some reason.

  14. ZONA - The scariest part of the original was when Dorothy is looking into the Crystal Ball in the Witch's castle and the Witch shows up mocking her "Auntie Em, Auntie Em...."!! Scared the bejesus outta me when I was a kid!! Fringe towel, indeed!!

  15. DIANNE - I'm reading Wicked right now, and would love to see the musical!! We took the boys to Maria's Pizza for supper tonight. I was having a hankering for their spaghetti. Got a half an order and could only eat half of that!! But the meatballs are to die for! I haven't watched American Idol in at least a couple of seasons. Sorry...

  19. JODI: That's the part that always freaks me out too..and after all these years!! I got a book from my sister for Christmas a year ago that contained Wicked..Son Of A Witch..A Lion Among Men and Out of Oz..all written by Gregory Maguire. I finished it last Spring..really liked it. :)

DI: I think you forgot to send me that Broncos fringe towel! Do you have one? ;)

MARY: I hope your appt went well and you didn't have to wait too much longer. Safe travels tomorrow!

  21. ZONA - I have Son of a Witch and A Lion Among Men waiting in the wings for when I get back from our trip. My cousin gave me the books to read last October and I'm only now really getting into Wicked. She actually had me read The Wizard of Oz first! I'll have to get her Out of Oz as a thank you for lending me her books ♥
