FLU SEASON

by Mary

To avoid it...

Eat right!

Make sure you get your daily dose of fruit and veggies.

Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.

Get plenty of exercise because it builds your immune system.

Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim,

take the stairs instead of the lift, etc.

Wash your hands often.
If you can't, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.

Get lots of fresh air.
Open doors & windows whenever possible.

Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

Get plenty of rest.

OR
Take the doctor's approach.

Think about it...
When you go for a flu jab, what do they do first?

They clean your arm with alcohol...

Why?

Because Alcohol KILLS GERMS.
So........

I walk to the pub. (exercise)

I put lime in my vodka...(fruit)

Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies)

Drink outdoors on the patio..(fresh air)

Tell jokes and laugh....(eliminate stress)

Then I pass out. (rest)

The way I see it...

If you keep your alcohol levels up,

flu germs can't get you!

REMEMBER:
'A shot in the glass
is better than one in the ass!'

  3. HOdi Good merrrning! You look so beautiful, and even more beautiful than usual with those Glazers and hot chocolate. Be careful out there in that snowy weather of yours. It's 58 in the shade here and clear blue skies.

  4. Good afternoon beautiful ladies. Since there are only two of you I declare both of you beauties!!

My new Grand baby is a beauty! Our Niece lives in Montana, so we won't be holding her for a while :(

Jodi, quit teasing me with the glaziers!!!

Our weather was horrible last night! The wind was the worst! Most schools are closed. Today is a little calmer.
    Later.....

  6. MARY - School was 2 hours late, so I texted Tim and asked him to clear our driveway and the sidewalks before school. When I had gotten home from work the plow had been thru. Thankfully I made it up the driveway. After school Tim then cleared the mess that the plow had made. I think he's my favorite today ;)

  7. Got a crockpot full of chili. One of my favorite meals on a snowy day :)

    Wishing everyone a good night.

I have to take Sam to UrgentCare. Our clinic didn't have any openings today and her work needs a note from a dr. She's been home the last 2 days vomiting.

  8. HOdi Sorry Sam is sick. Sure hope you don't catch it, whatever "it" is.

I had chili the other night at my friends' house. Yummy!

  9. SLIN - Just an intestinal thing. She needs to rehydrate herself. I hope her store leader isn't an ass about this!! They also flushed her ears. She had wax packed in next her eye drums. No wonder she was having a hard time hearing ;)
