I was thinking about how a status symbol of today is those cell phones that everyone has clipped onto
their belt or purse.
I can't afford one. So, I'm wearing my garage door opener.
I also made a cover for my hearing aid and now I have what they call blue teeth, I think.
You know, I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people didn't like me anyway.
I was thinking that women should put pictures of missing husbands on beer cans!
I was thinking about old age and decided that old age is 'when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it.'
I thought about making a fitness movie for folks my age, and call it 'Pumping Rust'.
I've gotten that dreaded furniture disease. That's when your chest is falling into your drawers!
When people see a cat's litter box, they always say, 'Oh, have you got a cat?'
Just once I want to say, 'No, it's for company!'
Employment application blanks always ask who is to be notified in case of an emergency. I think you should write, 'A Good Doctor'!
I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more
as they get older. Then, it dawned on me. They were cramming for their finals.
Dianne "Oh, have you got a cat?" LOL Thanks for the blog.
ReplyDeleteIt was gorgeous here yesterday but today looks a little overcast. Maybe it will burn off.
Justlin, I read "I was gorgeous yesterday, but today looks over cast" lol! Had me thinking for a minute there! I h ave had many "overcast" days lol!
ReplyDeleteDianne, never read those before, funny stuff!
Such a dreary lazy day AGAIN! I can see why peeps get depressed this time of year. I need to "snap out of it!"
I am grateful that the roads are clear, I am healthy,I have wonderful family & friends, roof over my head, full tummy .... yes, lots to be thankful for :) There, I feel better already :)
And a beautiful new great-granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteAwe, justlin, sooo right :)
ReplyDeleteHi.....went to the movies and dinner with my friend today. Louis stayed home and napped. We went to see the Nicholas Sparks movie Safe Haven. It was a really good movie with a surprise ending. I even cried and I NEVER cry at movies. I've been to about four or five movies in the last month. All have been good...not one bad one. Now Im waiting for the new Halle Berry movie to come out this month.
ReplyDeleteGlad you both liked the blog. I tell you I'm looking for them every day!!!
Mary, Spring is right around the corner. Did you read my message to you regarding your five hour lay over next month?
JL, it's really nice here this weekend....in the 60's. tomorrow I go to a baby shower. Keeping busy. Wish we lived closer and we could go to dinner.
Dianne, no I didn't see your message. I just thought you were busy. I will go looking for it.
ReplyDeleteDianne I just watched "Argo". Started watching it on my Kindle Fire, then had it stream to my computer instead as it is a larger screen. Movie rentals are free for the first month via the Kindle so I plan to watch "Sessions" next and then probably "Flight". I really enjoyed "Argo". Great story. Maybe one of these days I can come visit you. WE can go to dinner and maybe go to the lodge you sometimes go to where you play the slots.
ReplyDeleteMary Sounds like spring is peeking around the corner. We're supposed to get some more rain next week. We need it.
ReplyDeleteJL, that sounds fun. I'd like to see Sessions too. I love a good decent movie with a good ending. You'll have to watch the ones I've seen when they come out on your kindle. I have flight recorded but haven't watched it yet.
ReplyDeleteMary, look at yesterday's blog
