This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Dianne/Denver said... Jodi, yes I finally unpacked tonight and have tons more laundry. Does it ever get done? Some isn't dirty but bad wrinkles so in the wash it goes.
Barb, I feel better today. I got up and showered and went to meet a friend for lunch. It was good to get out after being home for five days.
Our air conditioner is not pumping out cool air...of course on a long hot weekend. We have some fans going and nights are cool but we can't leave the windows open all night or killers and robbers would come in...too dangerous.
I think Louis is going to movie with my SIL (ex-sort of) tomorrow. I have a lunch planned and that's about it. We are taking food over to my brothers Monday as my SIL had her hip replaced this week. I'm cooking KFC. Thats what they requested.
I've read two books on vacation. They were Mary Higgins Clark most recent two. I've read all her books. This time, for the first time, I read them on the iPad. Now I'm getting ready to read Carol Burnetts new book about her daughter. . It looks and sounded good. Barb, what are you reading? I really like a good easy reading mystery. I used to like Sidney Sheldon but read all his and then he died ...darn it.
That's about it from this end. Jodi. Just think of all the $$ you will be earning this weekend. I'm about ready to go back to Alaska...a different part..again I was sort of peeking at cruises for next year in may when Louis has his one week off.
DIANNE - Cute video!! LOIS always said water was the fountain of youth. I guess she is right :) Congrats on your copy and paste with your iPad! Sorry that pill didn't work for you.
Work started out crappy today. First my Money Order machine wasn't communicating with it's printer, then when I started brewing the coffee, the left side of the air pot brewer was running too long. HUGE MESS to clean up first thing...GRRRRR!!! Thankfully with the help of our communication center I was able to re calibrate the brewer and fix the Money Order machine. It was crazy busy today, but thankfully my store leader Alex finally listened to us and added more help for these ever busier weekends!
Went to our niece Breanna's college graduation party. Nice party, but a little chilly here today. When we got home we watched the movie Miracle. It's the one about the US Men's Hockey team that won the gold medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics. Even though I knew the outcome, it was exciting watching them beat Russia again. It was also brought back great memories because 2 of our Wisconsin Badgers were on that Olympic Team. Mark Johnson and Bob Suter. I was only 13 at the time, but it was ALL anyone was talking about here!! Mark Johnson is now the coach of the Women's Hockey team here at Wisconsin. GO BADGERS!!
Dianne, One of Bear's friends that was at the BBQ is an author and I am reading his latest book. It is called The Lonely War by Alan Chin. It's takes place during WWII.
Jodi, I got distracted making coffee the other day and forgot to put the pot under the drip thingy, so I know the mess of which you speak.
Mary, I wouldn't want to be that young again either.
Watching the Na Hohu awards on a live feed from Hawaii!! Sunway's performance was stunning. She is up for one last award. Female Vocalist of the Year. *keeping fingers crossed for my friend* ♥
Oh well....she's still a winner with me. The gal that won is Amy Hanaiali'i. She has an amazing voice and I was lucky enough to see her perform at our friend Michi's benefit.
Ok.new blog...be sure and go read my last post during the night as I talked to each of you and I don't know how to copy and paste on iPad.
ReplyDeleteI've been up all dang night except one hour. Great sleeping pill.
