This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Well, the videos are done. Dean and Deb did a separate one wishing Vicki Happy Birthday, and Joshua, Marie and I 'sang' (if you can call it that). Now we wait until May 22 to see the composite of all of them.
Barb, you are triple lovely today! You sure get to see a lot of neat stage performances. We don't having anything like that close to me. I usually go into Lansing. No one around here is interested in things like that, so I usually go alone. I hate going at night because of the parking thing, so I try to go to Matinees.
We had a non Mexican meal today. I told Jim & Matthew that Cinco de Mayo meant "no cooking Mexican food day" lol! We did bbq chicken & corn on the cob.
The best part of the day was discovering that my willow tree had blown over during the night and landed on my deck. The worst part of the day was getting the call that my friend, Lani (aka Slan) had passed away during the night. Totally unexpected. Everyone is in shock.
J/L, It is such a shock about Lani. I am so sorry to hear the sad news. I will pray for her family and friends, especially you. I know you will hold on to the good memories.
SLIN - I was truly shocked by the news of SLANI'S passing. She was a gentle soul. Funny, too. Wishing you peace as you (and her family) make sense of her passing. Love u ♥
JL, I'm so sorry about Lani. It just was recently that she She said she'd had the flu and was taking a break from words with friends. Gosh, I'm so shocked and sorry.
Jodi, glad you are home safe from your weekend trip. I always worry about that long drive by yourself
Thanks for the song Tina. I don't really like her style of music but I like her on Ellen.
Mary, shame on you not celebrating the holiday with yummy Mexican food. At least a little guac!! I wish you lived closer and you could go to plays with me. We have an extra ticket the season too.
Barb, you will have to show us the video of you singing. Lalala. How was the show?
JL, I know it's a hard day for you but still wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday
Tink, in case you are still reading...I'm sorry about your little dog.
Tina, I love Pink. Thanks for the tunes today.
