  3. HOdi Good morning! You are the fairest in the land. Hope you have a good day. It's about 46 here with clear blue skies. I just might be lazy today. Sunday is the day of rest, is it not?

  4. SLIN - 40 degrees here and sunny!! Great day to catch up on laundry and watch a movie or two :D

  5. Tina, I love Pink, loved the song! I have been thinking of both of you today..who knew?
How ironically of him to leave you a day after your Birthday, as if you would ever forget him. I am sure he treasured your friendship, as I do :) MUAH!!!!
I made a chicken dinner, took a long walk, cleaned the kitchen and now watching an Audrey Hepburn movie I have never seen before. I thought I had seen them all. This is " Love in The Afternoon"
    Later....

  6. MARY - How was the movie? The only movies I've ever seen of hers were Breakfast at Tiffanys and My Fair Lady.

  7. Having lunch with Tim, Sam and Nate today. Just waiting for Tim to get done with school.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday :-)

  8. Jodi. It was an ok movie, kind of got repetitive on the plot which would prolly not be so accepted by today's standards. Young gal falling for a much older man and leaving with him by train (as father watches) in the end lol!

  9. MARY - Sometimes the simplest of plot lines are the best!!

  10. Heading out soon for bowling. I've got my new Packers Jersey sweater on. GO PACKERS!!!

  11. Oh no Jodi....your new sweater was bad luck tonight to the packers. Dang it. Hope bowling went better.

Not much new around here. I'm a little miffed with my DIL right now but I keep it to myself. She's being a brat (nice word). We gphave a game with need to go to at 5 sat night and hen one at 1 on Sunday. Guess that changes are Saturday night plans.

I have a sore throat. That's it from here night

  12. DIANNE - *Deep sigh*....tough game!! Bowling was better. I tanked the first game, but bowled a 145 in the second game and a 134 in the third. Not sure what you were talking about with your DIL, but hang in there!

  13. Sunday Tim had asked if we could do lunch with Sam and I told him I wasn't sure if she had to work or not. Sam ended up calling me yesterday morning, she wasn't working so we surprised Tim! She was touched that he had wanted to see her and spend some time. Does my heart good ♥

  14. Greetings from New Zealand. Rain is pourind down and it's ccccold! We were going to drive to an art deco town about two hours away, but decided driving on the wrong side of the road is NOT a good idea in the rain. It's hard enough to keep our concentration when it's dry. So, we're at the library taking advantage of their free wifi.

I hope you are all well. We have one more day here, then back to Sydney for our flight home. My son is picking us up at SFO on Sat. then a 90+/- minute ride to Sac and home. It's hard to believe a month has already gone.

  15. BARB - Hard to believe your adventure is coming to a close! Savor every minute! Safe travels home. Love u lady <3

  16. Good hearing from you Barb! I am assuming you will be staying a day or two in Sydney and not sleeping in the airport until your flight lol! Safe travels!!

It was a beautiful day today! I cleaned out the pantry and reorganized things. I don't buy in large quantities anymore, so there is room to spare. I hate when it gets cluttered!

I was up wayyyy to long last night. Jim got me interested in the World Poker Championship which was on for 9 hrs! I passed out at 5am! Tonight is the last night with only 2 competitors left.

  17. HOdi That's a sweet story about your boy missing his sister. You raised some good ones.

  18. Barb Wow! Your vacation really flew by. I always feel like mine go by too fast. Is that how it's been for you or are you ready to get into your own bed? Safe travels. Don't miss the flight. LOL

  19. Mary I did some de-cluttering today, too, but not in the pantry....on bookshelves. I can't imagine staying up all hours to watch poker. No way.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks SLIN! Its been a long road, but its starting to pay off :-)

  21. MARY - The only person I would stay up that late to watch would be TURTLE. She's played in that tournament :-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. HOdi I agree. If Turtle was in it, that would make it worth watching for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  23. We were watching the tournament with interest because a 23yr old from Michigan was in the finals...and he won! He graduated from Michigan State University. He is now 8 million $$ richer!

Took my dogster for her Paw-ti-cure. Tomorrow I am driving north to my home town to have lunch with the lady who wrote the book about my family. She is a "snowbird" and will be leaving soon. I will be about 20 minutes from the Indian Casino, sooooo if I feel lucky, I will head further north :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary Aren't you always feeling lucky?

    ReplyDelete
  25. MARY - Enjoy your lunch tomorrow!! And I know I don't have to wish you luck ;)

  29. I got home about 2hrs ago.I had a great lunch. I made the trip to the casino. I only stayed a couple of hours. I told Jim, "remember when we play on a table game and there is always ONE annoying person who has all the luck?", well, I was THAT annoying person today LOL!! It was soooo much fun!!

    Time to check my farms......

  30. MARY - Glad you had a good lunch and all the luck!!!

  31. Happy Birthday DIANNE!!! What do you have planned for your special day?

    ReplyDelete
  32. This week got longer. I would've had today off, but my friend Christina got sick on Wednesday and didn't work yesterday. Rather than wait for "the call" I offered to work today so she can have a couple more days to get better. Kinda works out in my favor. I now have Sunday and Monday off. Saturday night I'm going to a play that my bosses fiance Dustin designed and made the costumes for!! Now I won't have to work after getting little to no sleep Saturday night.

Have a great day HOoters!! I left a stack of Glazer Donuts for breakfast :)

  33. Jodi, glad your week end will be better now :) How cool to have friends in the "theater".
btw thanks for the glaziers :)

I am off to get my oil changed and go to the DMV to get my license tabs. I usually get them on line, but to change your address by ONE frickin number you have to go in person! We have had the same address number for over 25 years, albeit the wrong address lol, but still! We are on the "even" side of the road and have had an "odd" number for some strange reason. So we are going from "1949" to"1940". I have had to change everything like cc cards, online banking, had to order new address stickers, yada yada yada!!! I still have to do my passport. *sigh*
Just to show you how far the arm of spying/advetising/privacy issues etc goes... when I sent for the new labels a couple of weeks ago..BAM! all of a sudden all my junk mail, charities adds, any and all marketing mail suddenly came with my new address! Now how did THAT happen *smirk*

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dianne Happy Birthday! Any special plans?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Mary What a pain in the ars! Don't forget to correct your passport. Never know when you might want to make a quick get-away. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. HOdi Your schedule change worked out nicely. I'll be taking Liz out to dinner and movie tomorrow and giving her her birthday present.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi everyone. Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Louis and I had a nice day in the beautiful mountains. He had some work in Dillon so I went with him and took a magazine and we also had lunch. It was nice. We were going to go to dinner tonight but not very hungry so we will go tomorrow night after grandsons football game.

Going to a craft fair tomorrow..or attempt it anyway if not packed and we can at least park. I'm going with my daughter and two friends.

Jodi, sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Thanks for the glazers too. Hadn't had any for a long time.

Jl.. Can't wait to see how your daughter reacts to the beautiful present you have for her. Have a fun night tomorrow night.

Mary, I'd better go change your address right now in my book. That's crazy after all these years. Glad you were lucky at the casino. You always are....

    ReplyDelete
  38. MARY - Kinda scary to think that "big brother" is watching!! I will change my address book right away.

    ReplyDelete
  39. SLIN - Please give Liz a hug from me. I'm sure she'll love her present ♥

    ReplyDelete
  40. DIANNE - Have fun at the craft fair!! Busy day...football game and dinner, too?

    ReplyDelete
  41. TINA - I love how u used Broncos colors for DIANNE'S song!!

  42. Jodi, I still can't get used to your being up in the middle of the night about the time I am going to bed lol!

I have to get our dogs walk in early today. Our neighbor just called and said they would be shooting off their guns this afternoon. Hunting season is next week and many are sighting in their guns. I usually wear my hunters orange hat to grab my mail which is across the road lol!
Some idiots shoot at anything that moves!
Jim & I will be hosting a Hunter's Ball next week. It's kind of a pre hunter's drunk night. It ends early so they can get to bed early (prolly passed out) and get to their hunting spots early the next day. We have done it for many years, always fun.

Have a great week end all!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. MARY - Well, I've always been the Night Owl by default....because I get up so freakin' early!!! lol!!! I hope you didn't get shot taking your dogs for a walk!!
