  2. TINA - I saw this video last week. What a true love story. Thank you ♥

  3. SLIN - Hey pretty lady!! Looking mahvelous in 1st! Do you have any plans for the weekend?

  4. Tina, That made me teary eyed. It reminded me of my Hubby's cousin Debbie, whose husband had a serious accident when they were dating. It caused brain injury not unlike the man in the video. She too, married him and they were together 28 years before he died last September. I'm not so sure that God was as much a central figure in their life, but Debbie is and Ivan was very spiritual. I'm debating whether to send this to Debbie.

  5. Hey J/L, you are lookin' lovely in first. We are praying for rain here. We are on day 48 without rain and we are setting a new record every day. Rain is not expected for the rest of January and it's not looking good for February. :(

  6. Jodi, It's not fair that you guys are getting bombarded with cold, wet weather and we are having none. Mother Nature must be going through menopause!

    ReplyDelete
  7. BARB - Whatever ii is, I wish Mother Nature would shape the hell up!!! Lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Barb Plant life is getting fooled into thinking it's spring. My plum tree has blossoms all over it as does a cherry tree down the street.

    ReplyDelete
  9. HOdi Mother Nature is giving you the cold shoulder and hanging us out to dry. Not good.

  12. Waving a wing from Wisconsin. They've already cancelled school for Monday according to one Madison station, but the other 3 are reporting nothing yet. Did some grocery shopping today and a couple of loads of Jake's laundry. Watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on ABC Family!! I love that they show the extended versions!

    Have a good night HOoters!!

  13. MARY - Thinking of u today as u laid your sister to rest. Be careful driving home. A lot of snow coming in the area u r in.

  14. Hello.....thinking of you today ,Mary. Sending hugs too

JL...I'm here but not cooking. Went to lunch with some cousins (distant) today and my aunt. I try and go with her every couple of months. The weather was so beautiful I hated to come home but I didn't know where to go!!

No plans tomorrow. Guess I'll watch the Grammys , the pro bowl and 60 minutes. 60 minutes is an interview with Jay Leno. Looks like I'll have to do some recording.

Brrr...Jodi it sounds cold and snowy out your way. I'm sure we will get something next week but then it goes on to you. All our news is talking about is the weather in New York for the Super Bowl. Doesn't sound good. They said they might even change the day. Crazy that it's even being held there without a dome.

Tina....thanks for the blog. It is very touching.

Barb,,what are you up too? Are you working on your album?

Hope you all have a good night.

  15. Sitting here sipping cawfee before I get in the shower. We got over 3 inches of snow overnight, with more to come today. Praying the plow trucks are out. We have to leave in little over an hour for Jake's wrestling tournament. Thankfully it's not far and Paul's truck has 4 wheel drive.

    ReplyDelete
  16. DIANNE - I had forgotten about the Grammy's. I will have to flip back and forth with the Pro Bowl!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Made it to the tournament. Thankfully they had plowed the road, but still had to take it slow and easy!! Paul decided to come later, so had to drive the Pimpala.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Jake won his bracket!! Didn't pin anyone, but won all his matches by +10 points!

Have a good night HOoters ♥

  19. HOdi Congrats to the boy!

I'm taking it easy today. I actually did some manual labor yesterday and my back is not happy about it today.

    ReplyDelete
  20. SLIN - Sorry your back is giving u fits. Ice and ibuprofen!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well, it's official the boys don't have school today or tomorrow. The only problem, they didn't build any "snow days" into the schedule this year. The way it's looking, they will have to go to school til mid June!! I hope they get creative with how they are going to make these days.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Make these days up!! This is what I get for playing Farkle at the same time as posting in the next ;)

    ReplyDelete
  23. And SLIN if you are wondering I have 3 layers on today!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. HOdi Beautiful day here, except.......

Sewer back up in basement again last night. Last time I had this problem was only 2 months ago and they could barely get cable with one blade through. Last night they couldn't even get cable with no blade through. They are coming back today to use high pressure to blow it out and I will have to make arrangement to have whole sewer line (about 80 feet) replaced. Ka-ching. Apparently there is a city program going at the moment so I will at least get $1,000 back. Meanwhile, I am in the midst of having a handyman rip up and take away front deck because I need to replace it. And this morning I see that I have a hairline crack in my lower denture so have call into my dentist. I'm going on a little 5 day trip to Idaho on Feb. 6 and need to do work project for the vet, get nails done, get dog transferred back to my son who lives 2 hrs away. I am stressing out at this point.

  25. J/L, So sorry you are having all those issues. When it rains...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Dianne, I heard it may be too cold to hold the Superbowl on Sunday and they might have to change the date. That would be a bummer.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Tina, this vid was amazing! Such unconditional love, especially in this easy throw away marriage society!
Thank you all for your support during this last week.I haven't been able to write about any of it, as is still too fresh on my mind. I know you will understand . We all deal with these things in our own way.

I am so ready for spring! Michigan has been hit so hard this winter. I think Jodi can relate lol! Right now most roads are barely passable. The roads that are, are very icy.
My neighbor Jim was sure glad to see me back. He has missed my cooking ha ha! I told him I would throw some extra in each meal and bring him some of it as long as he is home bound with his bad knees. I know my Jim is getting antsy. I sure hope they don't cancel his bowling tomorrow. He usually drives up north to the Casino after bowling. I hope not! He seems pretty determined lol!
    Have a great week everybody

  28. Good lord SLIN!! When it rains, it pours :( Wish I was closer to help you out!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. MARY - I'm ready for spring, too!! Glad you got home safe. And sweet Jesus....Jim needs to just stay put in his recliner!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. My boys have another day off of school due to the cold. Paul also has the day off. I'm thankful because he works outside in this crap!!!

Time to "hoist 'n rinse". Have a great day HOoters ♥

  31. Good Evening...

Well, it's 1:21 am and I just had to start a load of wash. I was laying on the bed and getting up to get ready and felt myself sticking to my blanket. I had a chocolate Carmel egg and I laid on it for a couple of hours ...chocolate everywhere. I don't want to leave it all night and day tomorrow so guess I'm up for awhile longer washing. Damn. Looked Iike I messed the bed. Gross

Temp in high 50's tomorrow and then cold again. Crazy weather but nothing Iike the south and Midwest.

Called and upgraded our cruise room to Include a balcony. I don't know how much we will use it but it makes the room a little bigger too. Made me get excited for May.

Barb, it would be a bummer if the game changed days. Dumb they're having it on an open stadium where it snows.

JL, boy you have a lot going on. How are all those things going now? To do list getting smaller? I'm sorry you're having all those problems. At least you have a fun trip planned.

Jodi and Mary, be careful on those roads and stay warm. Scary with the ice. Be careful walking too

Went to visit my lady today. She's very excited about the Bronco game and even has a hat. Very cute

My SIL is a teacher and they closed their school down as a boy went in yesterday and set himself on fire. Hes in critical condition and one other person injured.

Our city and tv shows are going crazy with bronco coverage. I enjoy all the hype. It's like Christmas when u see people they all say "go Broncos". Fun.

Well, guess I'll go check my laundry. Night

  32. DIANNE - I would've freaked out thinking I had crapped the bed. Lol!! Thought of u when I drove to work. Single Ladies was in the radio!! I can still picture u doing that dance :-D

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dianne The moral of your story is: Don't eat in bed. LOL

I had roofer out yesterday and am waiting on an estimate. Just found out my son did not pay his car pmt for December. My name is on that loan as co-signer. Ugh!

Now that front deck is ripped out it is looking pretty unsightly out there, not to mention hazardous as wire and pvc water pipe for sprinkler system now exposed and you have to step over it to get to front door. I set a bench there with Caution sign for anyone approaching my door. So what happened yesterday when I was leaving my house? Yep, I tripped and fell. I should have aimed Caution sign at me. Not seriously hurt, just skinned knee and embarrassed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. HOdi The image of Dianne performing Single Ladies has put a smile on my face.

    ReplyDelete
  35. SLIN - I'm glad u didn't hurt more than your pride!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good afternoon HOoters!

After 52 dry days it is finally raining a little. We NEED it badly but this isn't going to be enough. Apparently it's only going to last until tomorrow.

Breaking news: Grape growers are planning on smaller harvests and it is going to severely impact the wine crop. Oh noooooooo! Better stock up!

    ReplyDelete
  37. BARB - I'm glad you're getting at least a little of the rain you need! And I'm afraid this crazy weather is going to affect more than just the price of wine :(

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jodi, Yes, it did rain but not much. Maybe we'll have more tomorrow. As for the wine, I was just being sarcastic. That was actually a lead story on one of our stations, ahead of much more important (real) news items. Of course, I'm sure that's important for the wine industry because it is their livelihood, but it didn't have to be the lead story! imo

    ReplyDelete
  39. Dianne,I am getting a visual of you dancing and pooping in your bed!

JL, I sure hope things improve for you soon! You def. need a break! It is always good to have a trip planned somewhere eh? I will be going to the Dominican Republic the first week in Apr. I wish it was March! This snow and cold weather is getting old! Our kids are on their 6th missed school days.

Barb, I panicked for a minute when you said "wine shortage" lol!

Jodi, I can't even blame you for our Arctic freeze lol!! I see we will be getting hit again tomorrow and Sat :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. Mary Who are you going with to the Dominican Republic? Sounds like a fun trip. I'm spending so much money on the house right now that I probably won't be going on any big trips for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Barb Well, I won't get excited about the wine problems but I would get really excited if there was a coffee shortage. I hate it when I can't have my morning coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  42. HOdi We got some wet streets here today, too, for a little while at least. We need more, more, more.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Been on a liquid diet today as I had to leave my lower denture at the dentist for the lab to work on it. Thank goodness I can pick it up tomorrow at 2:00. You can't chew with no opposing teeth. At least I don't crap the bed like Dianne. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  44. J/L, So you're stuck in the house until tomorrow? How long before the front deck is finished? You need to be very careful walking through that construction zone.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I so happy we got some rain, however it was more like a drizzle. We need so much more.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Barb I picked up my teeth at 2 today. Gee, that sounds funny. LOL

Not sure when the porch deck will be done. The guy who is doing it for me is in the process of moving at the moment. I need to figure out what kind of deck material I want, also.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hello..JL..be careful. Ii can't stand to hear of falls. Glad u weren't hurt.

Mary....that sounds like an interesting trip. Should be warm and no snow!! Nice visual of me dancing and pooping!!! I'm being more careful with my chocolate.

Jodi...How are you feeling? Do you have your tassels ready? The hype in Denver is unbelievable. I love it. I got a really cute Bronco cake to take to the party.

Barb...we are predicted for 15" of snow tonight and tomorrow. Yuck I sure hope not as it will strand me in the house.

My friends mom, about my age, had her knee replaced last week and went into cardiac arrest over the weekend and now is in a coma with no brain activity. It's so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dianne, Jimmy Fallon had the puppies predict the winner of the Super Bowl like he does every year. He lets them loose to go for food in a Bronco bowl or a Seahawk bowl and more went for the Bronco bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  49. J/L, So this front deck project has no end date and you have to live with the mess until...indefinitely? That doesn't sound good at all! Pick out material that is low maintenance.

    ReplyDelete
  50. MARY - I saw that, too. Not suppose to start until the wee hours on Saturday and only about 2 inches here.

    ReplyDelete
  51. BARB - Agreed. I'm sure there is many more "real" news stories out there.

    ReplyDelete
  52. SLIN - Glad you got your chompers back! Now just be careful in the front of your house!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. DIANNE - Tassels are ready to go for Sunday! I'm just thankful I don't work Monday. I got the Spotted Cow ready for the Hulamoo's, too ;) Where is the party you are going to?

    ReplyDelete
  54. DIANNE - p.s. so sorry about your friend's Mom. How scary!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Heading out soon. It's my day off, but another busy one!! I have to drop Tim off at school, then I have to run to the grocery store for crackers and Gatorade for Jake. He vomited last night and still feels like crap. I also have to stop at the Village Hall and pay our property taxes. Oh joy....NOT!!! At 9 I'm meeting my friend Christina and her Mother. They are following me to Madison to the diner I like to go to for breakfast. We are meeting Sam there before she works today. At 1 pm I'm picking Tim up from school and we are going to visit my Aunt Jane. I was going to visit her yesterday, but Tim wanted to go, too and had to work/train at his new job. I haven't seen her since the weekend before Christmas.
